Fantastic experience: You are very good

Fantastic experience: Mostly empty between 11am and about 2pm most days. Fills up with teenagers after school during term time.

Positive experience: Water was over flowing from the showers into the changing area, which soaked my shoes and towel.. not sure if this was the fault of the obnoxious teenagers that were splashing about and using bad language and having a generally bad attitude, or if it was a plumbing issue. The staff seemed sound and the pool was fun for the kids though.

Negative experience: Going worse - only 3 showers available out of 5. 1 broken , 1 disabled permanently locked? Communication issues - Changed lockers today, needed padlock. No email warning of Date of change to padlock system. Notices put up yesterday. Didn't visit yesterday !!!.

Fantastic experience: Love it here. Staff so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Teachers brilliant. Love Cheryl’s Zumba and Aqua classes. She makes them fun and looks after you.

Positive experience: I would just like to know when we can use the lat pulldown machine again apart from that everything is good

Positive experience: It’s a good gym has everything you need. However the aircon is a huge problem it’s never turned on. There is already a suana no need to have another one in the weight room

Fantastic experience: Excellent leisure centre / swimming pool, gym. Good facilities, friendly staff, plenty of parking. Very reasonable prices and One of the best in Stockport.

Negative experience: The show situation is a disgrace. The two family showers have been closed for more than six weeks. Of the four remaining showers, the door catch on one has broken for weeks and last week another shower went out of action. That leaves only 2 showers in full use. Something must be done!

Positive experience: Small pool is warm for young kids

Fantastic experience: Great little gym, has plenty of equipment for it's size. Shower pressure in the gym can be hit and miss (being upstairs probably doesn't help) however the showers in the pool section are great. Plenty of parking and located quite near to local bus routes.

Fantastic experience: Cameron is the most amazing swimming instructor. He has a beautiful bond with my daughter and has been the only person who has successfully taught her! She has Down’s syndrome and low muscle tone but he has not let this get in the way of her success! He is a wonderful man!

Positive experience: Gym is great and has a great weight room, however some of the PTs are very arrogant and self centred and believe their workout matters more than other peoples, sometimes shouting at kids just trying to workout.

Negative experience: water was a bit cold in the pool

Positive experience: Lovely staff, £4 per swim, changing facilities are modern with separate stalls for changing and showering. They often double the width of the lanes however, which makes lane swimming harder and increases the people per lane.

Positive experience: The staff are very helpful and the gym and pool are great. The only problem is the gym showers hardly have any pressure. The first cubicle I got into the water didn’t even run and I moved to the middle shower and it was very slow. There are 3 cubicles in the gym and very disappointing. Hope the pressure will be improved in the near future

Negative experience: Typical Stockport, massive car park and no cycle parking. Garbage.

Negative experience: Shockingly bad gym. Very small and limited kit, not the best kit either and this place is full of school kids. Changing rooms aren't the best. dont really like the atmosphere here. Better of going the the Village, Waterside, Enegie or Puregym as they all have better offerings.

Fantastic experience: Clean .. great changing rooms and showers..free hairdryer and lockers which fit a pound tgats refunded

Positive experience: I really like this pool. But I would not recommend anyone to go to the general swim sessions in the week day afternoons. The problem is the general swim shares the pool with swimming lessons. According to the timetable it's half and half. I e three lanes each in the main pool. Generally there are 6 swimming lessons going on at the same time. Three in the small pool and three occasionally four in the main pool. It is a 33 m pool and approximately 8 m of the shallow end swimming lesson half is cordoned off across the three lanes usually this is used by 1 swimming lesson but sometimes two. The other approx 25m of the swimming lessons half is split into the three lanes. Which anyone would think would accommodate two or three lessons. However on random days this is not sufficient. And often one lesson uses all three lanes the other lesson.commanders a fourth Lane which is taken from the general swimming 3 lanes. Today I was at the pool and this happened, there was a total of 5 lesson swimmers using the three lanes so the 4th Lane was commandeered for a total of 6 lesson swimmers. Leaving the general public to struggle in the remaining two lanes. I've been in the pool when 37 people have been herded into two lanes for the general swim.

Fantastic experience: Ryan who does the baby/toddler classes in the pool is a credit to the leisure centre. Our first visit today with our baby and Ryan was so thorough with his instructions. Will 100% be going to his classes in the future. Shame he only does Sunday's.

Negative experience: Swimming lessons are really poor. Complete lack of communication between instructors, coordinators and managers. Ended up with my eldest leaving in tears.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, not intimidating like some others I've been to. Very friendly staff and lots of classes should you want to join

Fantastic experience: From all the Life Leisure centres this one is the best. Not too big, have sauna and pool and classed too, not only the gym. Oh, and it isn't full of big headed gym buffs, so little me feels OK being there... ;)

Positive experience: There are alot of children in many of the classes. Shower areas need some maintenance eg lock missing on a shower door and some showers not working at all. When there are so many children at once it contributes to the areas being very crowded.

Negative experience: Swim here at your own risk! Staff happy to allow people with vomit & diarrhoea in the pool. Won't offer a rebook or refund in the event of illness/covid etc. Fobbed off to email by reception staff when we called in advance to advise we were unwell. No reply on email. Very poor policy which actively encourages people to attend when they are ill. Utter germ pit and will be avoiding.

Fantastic experience: Very good

Negative experience: The fill-in aquafit person was not suitable for the clients base. Wrong music, wrong exercises, just not really enjoyable. A teacher really needs to adapt the session to suit the clients, not use the same routines he would teach to 20yr old. Hopefully the regular teacher will be back soon.

Fantastic experience: My kids attend Stockport Swimming Club here on a Tuesday night from 630pm. A lovely, friendly swimming club catering for any age and ability.

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym 4 weeks ago and I have been most days. I am extremely impressed with all the staff there . They are keeping it clean and safe for us all , and everyone is obeying the rules . Have been swimming and that is so well organised . The staff are so helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work guys ,and let's hope it can remain open x

Negative experience: Decent covid system but very compact weight room with kids booking together and grouping together. Also a young yellow t shirt life guard with curly hair who was cleaning between each 45 min session had a pretty obvious cold (well hope it was only a cold) but not what you want in a gym regardless of a pandemic going about.

Positive experience: Time allowed is only 45 minutes. To rushedgood local gym and pool

Fantastic experience: Probably not the biggest gym ever but it has been more than adequate, with sufficient equipment for the number of people in my experience. Friendly, helpful staff also.

Positive experience: The earliest memories I have of Cheadle swimming baths was turning up on cold winter mornings for school swimming lessons so the bright pool area that is the (relatively) newer, and definitely brighter pool was a pleasant revelation. Some of the lockers will only take tokens but most accept new pound coins and the changing area was clean. At 33 metres the main pool is a non-standard length which takes some getting used to and it's one of the deepest pools I've been in so be careful with unconfident swimmers. The small pool is quite a bit smaller and it's only really suitable for the younger children and parents. Unlike other children's pools it isn't a paddling pool with toys and other distractions.

Positive experience: Changing rooms are nice and modern but on two occasions I’ve turned up at this pool with no prior warning or advertisement it was shut under private hire. As a member of life leisure you go through the barriers so no one asks what you doing got in the pool today (15/6/2019) to find out it was under private hire for a kids party. Not only was it A: Embarrassing but B: It would’ve looked very weird to the parents. Only seems to be this facility I have these issues with no problem at the HG or GC one.

Positive experience: Great pool but need to stop closing half of it off for lessons and make the lockers accept £1 coins it’s stupid having to get tokens

Positive experience: Very nice big clean swimming pools, one specially for younger ones! Sundays family day is a great way to enjoy the weekend with your children splashing!

Fantastic experience: I 've already a Certificates of Sport, Recreation and Allied Occupations Level 1 OCR with the Coaching skills for a Multi - Gym, Basketball, Badminton and First Aid because I love Live Leisure, Live Fitness, Live Sport, Live Life. I has successfully completed the 21K RUNNER PROGRAM on August 21, 2016. I has attended a KRYPTEX THERE COURSE with John Bill Ventures covering basic survival techniques under arduous conditions on 21 Sept 92 to 24 Sept 92. I would like to teach Adults in the Gym & Running Club. I am hard of hearing but I wear with my hearing Aids, I am good lipreading and I can do British Sign Language BSL Level 3. I hope if somebody who will go to give me a Job on soon.
