Negative experience: One life guard didn't turn up for work this morning and the consequences ruined our morning swim it costs a lot to swim these days and today was a failure ! Too many people in the pool in a limited space because of a lack of staff ! ..very disappointed, we get up at 6:30am for this swim! And we were let down completely today!

Positive experience: We started baby swimming lessons. The lessons are brilliant the pool and staff and great, only problem was not enough family changing rooms for the number of babies on the course. This means either cold wet babies waiting for a space or trying to change a wriggling octopus in a standard changing room which is very difficult.

Fantastic experience: Clean and lots of equipment I can use also, they have personalised training plan for everybody and I can go swimming as well

Fantastic experience: The swimming here is great, love it. There is only 4 private cubicle showers so there's sometimes a queue. The hairdryers are powerful. The gym is compact but it has everything you need in it. Staff on reception are nice amd welcoming too

Negative experience: i was here today with my friends and i was told by a lifeguard i couldn’t go further than the 4ft area of the pool. then he said i could if i stayed near the wall which i did, then another man said i can’t go there at all. finally i went over there OUT OF THE POOL to see my friends and i got threatened to get kicked out.

Fantastic experience: I participated in Halesowen Sprint Triathlon this morning. I was very impressed with how clean and bright the Centre was!!! Well done!

Negative experience: Planet play asks to book in advance but they only allow that 4 days in advance and only over the phone which is rarely to never answered.

Fantastic experience: Been to the under 5s splash time that was fun with lots of toys for the kids to play with, long session for the price too. I'm lucky I get to go to Planet play almost weekly. Very Good price for the sessions, two areas for older and younger. It's an utter shame the cafe is shutting due to the lack of management from the council. I loved the food there and particularly the cakes they were all made fresh there and the staff so lovely and just friendly.

Positive experience: 2 hours free parking opposite in the multi storey which is a bonus but the reason for 4 not 5 stars is this winter the water always feels a bit to cold but maybe it's just me ‍♂️

Positive experience: For the size of the centre there are only only 4 personal showers for swimmers. As bad weather approaches public swim walkway areas will have dirty floors and changing cubicles. Could have a slipper bath be installed prior to pool entry to clean feet Toilet tissues are often not available Staff friendly and helpfull Entrace in excellent. Food area clean Aesthetically very pleasing

Positive experience: My sister and I go swimming most weeks much cleaner than haden Hill was.staff are very friendly and it's cheaper. Not so keen when kids of school.

Fantastic experience: Joined for the Wellness suite. I have a spinal cord injury & need to do gentle exercise to keep moving. Power assisted machines help me to do that. I can put in as much or as little effort depending on my condition that day.

Fantastic experience: Great Leisure centre we went for the Sen session swimming has a super deep 11 foot 6 deep end which is an experience in itself...cafe is nice and there is a cool soft play area...staff very friendly

Positive experience: It's a decent gym but if you're a swimmer it could be better. The fast lane is more of a slow/medium lane no matter what time you go. The lifeguards don't really bother telling slow swimmers to move to other lanes either

Fantastic experience: Lovely to have on our door step,first I was greeted by lovely reception staff,shown the way in and pointed out the family/baby changing room to me which was fab. Pool was lovely and clean,the choice of the main pool or learner pool,leaner pool was nice size decent for the kids to have a good swim without the worry of it being to deep! beach balls were allowed which was fun,life guards on watch deffo going again!

Positive experience: Being a member for more than 4 months now, I can say that I am overall happy with the services. Maybe just one request-I don t see the logic to have one or two lanes closed and too many people on the opened ones when nothing is hapenning on the closed ones for more than one hour...Why to let people to struggle as too many in half of the pool and keep closed the other half

Fantastic experience: Superb little play place inside for the little ones inside, planet play

Positive experience: Went to this leisure center to see about prices and what's on offer for the over 60s I had to wait awhile for someone to come out they gave me afew details but there was no information I could take away. Just a card with an app on it. Not good nit everyone can use n app or has a mobile phone. Having said this I found the Cafe staff much more responsive and the coffee ☕ was lovely.

Positive experience: Good traditional swimming pool recently refurbished and very nicely done. Good learner pool, lane swimming and lots of other activities. Great changing areas and a good cafe for after. Handy public free parking opposite.

Positive experience: Changing area dirtier than ever, a line of muddy water all down the middle where people have walked in outdoor shoes and every single shower cubicle clogged up with hair. Lovely.

Negative experience: New renovations look good and facilities are clean. However as a past regular swimmer there, I am very disappointed about some aspects. When the pool was updated, it was a pity the windows in the changing rooms were also not changed as it is still freezing when coming out of the pool. This pool no longer caters for older people who still like to keep fit but do not want to do constant lengths.I also tried to bring my grandson's who wanted to learn to dive However I could not find a time to do this. We were also turned away on a Saturday because we w Could not garentee our grandson's Could do continuous lengths. Overall very disappointed as the pool no longer caters for casual swimmers

Positive experience: Have been coming swimming on Tuesday morning with my sister since reopened. It's much cleaner than Haden Hill made mistake last week and went to haden Hill won't make that mistake again.Staff are much more pleasant.

Negative experience: Very poor staff and organisational skills. Twice phoned in a fortnight to see if pool was open for general public only to arrive and them say its not. When I mentioned that I phoned to check their responses were 'its on the website' in a very condescending manner. Not everyone has available Internet hence the phone calls!!! Poor and a waste of time. The apology felt extremely forced and half hearted.

Positive experience: I've given a mid rating because I cant rate the facility as I've only used the cafe I go in most days for a cuppa, the free mince pie the one visit was a nice treat and @ £2 for a mug of tea it's not the best value in the area.

Fantastic experience: Helesowen Leisure Center has undergone renovation and enhancement. Visitors are welcomed by the pool in its new form. The main gym is crowded and well-equipped, but the coffee shop and kids' play area are wonderful bonuses. Both the wellness suite and the staff are excellent. The centre is well-kept, bright, and clean. The wheelchair-accessible center's restrooms were spotless. The town of Halesowen gains a lot.

Negative experience: Good when newly refurbished . But of late, so disappointed with the neglect of cleanliness of the pool area and toilets, no soap, no paper towels, for 4 weeks the toilet bowls were in a disgusting state!!!! Poolside gritty and dirty brown, I overheard others making negative comments about the lack of cleanliness. Come on Dudley , make an inspection and see for yourself. ,!, so sad to see it go downhill so quickly. Have been swimming there for over 50 yrs

Fantastic experience: Went there for my grandson's birthday party. It was very well organised. The place is bright and airy and very clean. The staff do an excellent job. The food served was very good and the service was excellent. The toilet was spotless. There is good wheelchair accessibility.

Fantastic experience: First time to visit. Staff and fellow swimmers are very friendly. Lovely and clean. Excellent leisure centre. One teeny tiny thing which doesn't alter the experience. Would it be possible to maybe have a spinner for swimming costumes.

Negative experience: The seating overlooking the pool really bad uncomfortable digs into your sides by metal do not recommend sitting there won't be coming again

Negative experience: Potentially excellent facilities, the staff are friendly and helpful. Sensibly priced cafe but food is sometimes good, sometimes could do better. EDIT: Sadly the changing rooms and poolside are dirtier on every visit. Today parents / guardians were walking poolside with outdoor shoes on creating a wet trail of dirt from the changing room to the swimming area. Staff are friendly but seem ineffectual at controlling the dirt. On the last 2 weekday visits the pool was advertised as being fully open. In fact only half the pool was in use. The reason given was staff shortage and insufficient demand, however the number of people in the water made a nonsense of this reason. Almost impossible to swim without being kicked or getting in someone's way. The newly printed timetable (mid Feb 2023) just says that only part of the pool may be in use. The website is totally out of date regarding this. Such a shame for what could/should be an excellent facility.

Fantastic experience: New state of the art gym installed with Technogym machines, a nice sized free weights area and cable rigs. There is a soft play and cafe there as well which is nice for the kids. We'll worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre with brilliant staff. Well lit and clean with everything very new. Soft play for younger ones is brand new, clean and well priced. Parking is free for two hours in car park opposite. Overall highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic experience: Never used a gym in my 59 years but needed something to focus my mind, since having to stop work. Staff are really helpful and approachable. Facility users are also very friendly. Really enjoying it.

Fantastic experience: Great soft play. My grandchildren absolutely love it. They have so much fun. Staff are really welcoming & helpful.Also it's only 3.50 for 2 hours & you only pay for the children. The is a lovely little cafe where you can get snacks & hot & cold drinks.You can park for 2 hours on the multi storey carpark opposite. Free off charge. You just get a 2 hour ticket from the machine to put on your windscreen.

Negative experience: Been to the play area this afternoon had the most awful time as the staff are very rude and abrupt, tried to make us pay for a baby in the play area when we had met up with 7 other children and also all had food there , the staff need a lesson on customer service, I’m not usually one who complain but it was my granddaughter’s birthday and two of the staff a young women and a man with a beard sat there talking about us , sitting there eating chips , wouldn’t even let us give her a cake

Negative experience: I moved to Quinton/halesowen, for the lovely local cinema little town and warm lovely learning pool for children and young babys, perfect depth warmth for the children.. If we want slides we go cotsmore or waterwold ect. But for a splash our main aim was to enjoy the small training pool at halesowen most weekends no dowt, covid hit then ended then they announce we will do a refit.. OK so give 4 month call back is the little pool open now please as my 4yr old wants to go swimming.. Er little pool gone, main won't be open til May 2022 and its been replaced with a larger cafe to milk you of money for a £3 £4 pound latte and a modular soft play. Woopie That little pool made ure leasure centre, criminal what uve done for ure greed. A simple refit, tickle heating, filters, swap lights for leds mayb little extension steam room upgrade gym done. No you go ruin that lovely pool and shorten the main one from 33 to 25m and create a little paddling pool at end ye real genius. And take everything outa action for 15m rite after a 15m covid layoff with no income.. Bravo Council bravo

Positive experience: Staff are great, friendly, attentive. Jake goes the extra mile. Made my joining process easy. Staff take great steps to maintain infection control practices However they could do with reminding and / or moving the public on when they stop at the end of the pool next to each other, face to face and talking - there is a high risk of cross infection. Try and keep well even in the pool. Swim, get out, mask up and chat outside.

Positive experience: The swimming was ok but a lot of people complain that you are in the way if you're not as quick as them swimming

Negative experience: During covid restrictions don't waste your time going swimming here during the day if you are an above average swimmer. There is no fast lane to cater for better swimmers meaning slow breaststroke swimmers in every lane . There is no overtaking so your own swim is governed by the slowest swimmers in the lane. When I asked about this I was told that it was not up to them to determine who was fast and who was slow( cause people in general have no common sense when it comes to this apparently!) On top of this no lane etiquette being applied either. Apparently they do have occasional elite swimmer sessions in the evening that kinda contradicts them saying it's not up to them to determine who's quick and who's slow in my opinion.... In short..If you swim 25m in less than 30 seconds dont bother!
