Fantastic experience: Come here quite regularly and one of the lifeguard Ellis provided great customer service today as I needed assistance with some equipment

Fantastic experience: Lovely, clean and large centre with lots of equipment and spaces. We were in the large sport hall for a show. Helpful staff too. Only problem we had was the toilets, there were only 3 female toilets situated in the wet room and even though not a huge distance it was still a little way to walk to get to them. Thank you for a wonderful show.

Fantastic experience: Visited to referee youth football on the 3/4g pitch. Excellent facility both of my games were played on a rely good competitive sprit. Parents have to remain outside so not right on the pitch side. Just my opinion I think it helps/lets the children play in more relaxed environment.

Fantastic experience: The gym is not big but there is enough there. The normal gym equipment, there are some rowers, cross trainers, weights and treadmills. We go at 7 and it is quiet then. The staff are lovely and friendly. The pool is not open at the moment, there are some maintenance jobs being done.

Negative experience: Rundown in general changing rooms atrocious if your disabled use another leisure centre old fashioned and unclean pool has been full of green sand from the filters for months needs knocking down and re building loverly area but simple not upto scratch

Positive experience: Great swimming pool, water warm, changing rooms are from the 1980s, but didn't detract from the overall experience.

Positive experience: Lovely staff and good variety of things to do. The shower facilities are very poor, virtually no pressure at all resulting in a trickle... Not a shower. Ladies shower room only has one toilet door and 4 toilets! Parking facilities also very cramped.

Fantastic experience: What lovely receptionists were on duty this evening. Haven't been to the leisure centre since the first lockdown and was made really welcome.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Refurb....... But BEWARE of the Scaldingly Hot Water in the Showers, dangerous for children. They have been asked a number of times since the Refurb to lower the temperature via the thermostat, but it still hasn't happened.

Negative experience: I'm sure the facilities are lovely, but there is no time outside of standard working hours where I can take my 10 year old swimming. He doesn't need lessons. I'm sure the pool used to offer more "free swim" or family swimming sessions in the afternoons and evenings. Swimming lessons are amazingly important but a bit pointless if you can't get near the pool at any other time. It isn't like we can pop to the sea! It's a real shame because it's a great pool without all the distractions of slides and such.

Positive experience: I go to the swimming pool weekly with my family and friend, and we go to the family swim event which is really fun! There are floats to sit on and other things such as balls and sausage float thingies the changing rooms aren't very clean though and I don't think there cleaned regularly, and shower temperatures aren't right which was mentioned on a sign so that's oki :D

Positive experience: The classes are excellent, instructors generally first class, one or two exceptions. Parking is ridiculous, as you have to fight school students and staff for spaces. Booking classes is frustrating. Web site poor and getting through by telephone near impossible. There is room for improvement.

Fantastic experience: Hi I visiting today for the first time. I attended the parent toddler session. It was brilliant....the whole pool for us to use for 1 hr session all for £3.50...It was clean and everyone made us feel welcome. We definitely will visit again at a family play session so my older son can also use the pool.

Negative experience: Not a bad place to take children swimming however male changing rooms are little tired looking and 20p not refunded for use of a locker is shambolic.

Positive experience: Used this leisure centre a lot over the last 30+ years. We have used the gym, the pool when our kids learnt to swim, birthday parties in the big hall, weight training and only this week we tried the toning tables... Well we are getting on a bit now! Fantastic place, great service great prices and some carparking if you need it! But why would you drive to the gym?!!? Update 10/2/22 Appreciate this place more than ever now. Currently the wife and I have tried using the gym but with my arthritic foot and hip it was not something I enjoyed, however... a Seated Pilates class once a week and circuit training for the over 50s once a week, both with "Annie" has proven to be for me/us the best thing in years. She has altered ways of doing various things in the gym, particularly, to allow me to train better within my arthritic limitations. If I could get another seated Pilates class on say a Monday I would be enjoying three classes and getting fitter faster.

Positive experience: I have been going to this pool on/off for a number of years, until recently . Over the past 4/5 months or so I have experienced a poss allergic or reaction after a swimming which causes me to sneeze and experience cold like symptoms ( made me quite ill last time). I enquired the reception if there has been a change of chemical used in the water, the manager said no/didn't know but will inquire and email and answer, she hasn't that being a month or so ago. A college on mine has the same issue and whilst I am not accusing any one it would have been good customer practice to inform me with any news.

Negative experience: The gym isn’t actually that bad but after paying nearly £30 (double the cost of normal gyms) I arrived at 8:00am this morning to unexpectedly find the gym was closed, I do not exspect a gym to be closed on bank holidays (many cheaper gyms are not closed) after all the main time people are going to use gyms are in there spare time when they have not got work. After sitting outside in my car for nearly 10 minutes I observed 5 people turning up And expecting to be able to use the gym but sadly they had to return back to there homes because as I say the gym was closed. I am sad to say that I have had no choice but to pay for a day pass at the gym just down the road from ounsdale which I am not happy about at all, due to this I am going to say once my membership has ended with ounsdale I certainly will not be returning !! (This gym seems to better anyway to be honest) Hopefully this will help change there policy’s in the future to help make it a better gym for there remaining members.
