Negative experience: Sadly this is probably the worst anytime fitness I have been in machines are falling apart missing adjustment parts on benches, and equipment everything is worn down

Negative experience: All the equipment is regularly broken and not fixed for months on end. Budget gym at not so budget prices. Friends pay half the price for brand new Pure Gyms and Gym Group gyms. Friendly staff doing their best is the only positive

Negative experience: EDIT- *I'm reducing this further to a one star as this anytime fitness is the worst I've been in, after struggling in the morning using the one shower, I have just realised they have two more shower rooms that look like they are in the middle of being built (floor out, pipes on show) but clearly they have no plans to finish. Very poor show.* Not my local Anytime Fitness, (which I'm glad.) Thought I'd use it while working in the area. Its a very small gym. Luckily it wasn't busy, even at around 5 pm. Unfortunately, the whole gym felt grubby. Compounded by the state of the just ONE bathroom. Thick with dust, it definitely hadn't been cleaned for a few days. Spoke to the guy who worked there, said they don't have a cleaner anymore and have to do between the normal 2 staff. He was a nice guy, but if it is not really his job to clean, then I doubt effort is going to be made in this area in the future.

Fantastic experience: This gym ticks all the boxes for me. As a competitive bodybuilder the quality of equipment and the ability to be able to use the equipment readily is paramount. If the equipment is in use that I require, I can always find an alternative, and thus keep intensity and focus high throughout. Another huge positive for me is the welcoming and positive attitude of all the staff and members, making every workout thoroughly enjoyable!

Negative experience: Signed up for the gym in March 2020, a few weeks before the national lockdown hit. I managed to visit the gym three times before lockdown and subsequently no longer working in Knutsford. Upon noticing direct debits had began processing again in August and September and paying in full for two months whilst living in North Wales and not working in Knutsford I emailed the gym to cancel. All ok and accepted paying two months as my fault for not cancelling earlier. Have now received SMS and emails stating I am in arrears of another payment, one more full payment due after cancellation. Contacted the gym a few times via email but no response, after a phone call was told nothing can be done and I have to make the last payment. This takes my payments up to the best part of £100 for three visits to the gym through no fault of my own and having only signed up for two weeks before a national lockdown! I would actually love to still be in Knutsford and able to visit the place! Very poor service and lack of understanding.

Fantastic experience: Went in for the first time post lockdown and I was really happy to see the safe measures in place! Sanitising stations, regular cleaning from the staff and staggered hours with the amount of people inside at one time. Huge credit to staff and management, it feels great to be back

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area by far! They have literally everything I need and more. Using the app makes booking onto classes so easy and the other app with over 1000 videos keeps me motivated. All the equipment is state of the art and the staff will go above any beyond for you. The free parking makes getting there easy and the heated private bathrooms feel like a rea luxury. Very happy here and would not consider going anywhere else (nor should you).

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Anytime for 2.5 years now. Great gym where you don’t feel uncomfortable when you go in! The PTs are brilliant and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Nathan is always happy to help if needs be and overall it’s a friendly place with good equipment and training facilities.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for over 2 years and I can honestly say I've not once had any issues with the staff, facilities or equipment. Nathan the manager has been fantastic in helping me reach my goals and keeping me on track he is a credit to the name of Anytime Fitness and has well earned the title of a manager. The gym as a whole is deserves 5 stars and if I could give more I would.

Negative experience: Don’t sign up to these gyms! They are a massive scam. I was told I could cancel my membership by a manger if I provided evidence I had moved. I provided this evidence and then I was told I couldn’t cancel and had to pay the rest of the contact. They know exactly what they are doing so it’s impossible to cancel. Absolute scam.

Negative experience: RED LIGHT!!!! We are being held to a contract made by an associate no longer with the company who had ensured us and reiterated time and time and time again he had cancelled our 1 month membership. Only to discover a year later that they have been taking money every month from us for over a year. To add insult to injury, as a sign of ‘goodwill’ the regional manager Ashley Helsby is going to stop our membership at the end of this month.... it is abundantly clear the bank prohibit any further unauthorised payments. No thanks to anytime fitness in knutsford or the manager there who is unsympathetic and patronising and only concerned from a business point of view of stealing from ‘valued customers’. Also don’t block people from leaving feedback and real life experiences on your knutsford page !! Absolute joke. Come here to be stolen from not to work out.

Fantastic experience: I feel like people are so eager to jump on the Internet and moan, moan, moan as soon as something bad happens but rarely do you see someone jump on the Internet and review something when that something is so damn right. So let me break a probably the no.1rule of the Internet, (we don't talk about the other no.1 rule) and post my first review. Spoiler ALERT for those who don't know how the star system works. Its positive. More than positive, if positive is a 3/5, its great. It's a great gym. TLDR: GO TO IT. NOW. JOIN. GET SWOLE. BE AMAZING. REACH YOUR FITNESS GOALS. GO BEYOND THEM! HIT THE SUN. BE BEST POSSIBLE YOU, YOU CAN BE! ☀ Super like this gym, looks really sharp and clean, great quality equipment, it has respectful and inspiring environment with a great atmosphere, the lovely colour scheme and decor doesn't make it feel like a chore or drain to come to the gym and it really doesn't have that industrial feel so many damn gyms have now a days! Vending machines have the tastiest protein shakes, insanely moreish I always feel ready and pumped to come to this place and the staff are so great! I'm so glad I chose this gym, I feel super invested in my fitness goals due to this gym and its staff <3<3<3<3 I feel really ready to improve my health, life and future now. Shan't let them take all the credit. But they definetly helped to push me where I needed to go... Thanks guys!

Negative experience: I've been a member of my local anytime fitness for 3 years now and when I was in the Knutsford area I tried their franchise. Shocking standards the moment you walk through the door as I caught the lad at the front desk staring at my missus. He didn't even greet us as we came in, however was friendly enough to say bye on the way out. However, the worst part has to be who I assume was the manageress, clearly too young to be running a business, me and my wife heard her complaining on 7 different occasions about the most ridiculous things. Not a welcoming place and will never be attending again. shocked at the management.

Fantastic experience: Gym and Atmosphere is the best I have ever experienced. The club has such a warm and welcome feel. Would definitely recommend

Negative experience: An expensive gym with incompetent staff. I was a member for a year and even though I moved away from Knutsford halfway through the year I had to continue paying for the full year since I was contractually obliged to. When it came to the 11th month of my membership I gave the gym my 1 month notice as they required and told them that I did not want to renew my membership at the end of the 12 months, they sent me the paperwork which I signed, scanned and sent back and they confirmed my membership was cancelled. In reality they had no intention of letting me go. They continued to charge me for 4 months after the 12 month term had ended despite numerous calls and emails to them where they admitted it was their fault, however they continued to charge me without my permission over and over again. I eventually got a refund but it took almost 3 months to 'process' (more than 6 months after my contract with them had expired) and I received not so much as an apology for the £140 they took from me and kept for 7 months. It is worth noting that if you fail to make a payment to Anytime fitness on time at any point during your contract they start slapping you with large fines immediately and start aggressively increasing the size of your debt to them but when you're the one they owe money to they couldn't care less about when/if you get it back and how long it will take. I had hoped it would be just me that had such a horrible experience but two of my friends who recently cancelled their memberships with the gym had similar exeriences with money being taken from their accounts without permission after their contract expired as well. The management at this franchise are toxic and will try to bleed you for every penny you have even after your contract with them has expired. There are cheaper gyms with rolling 1 month contracts in the area (PureGym Northwich springs to mind), avoid these criminal and exploitive 12 month minimum contracts if you possibly can, they serve only to benefit the gyms not the customers.

Fantastic experience: Excellent shower facilities.

Negative experience: Please all potential members beware!!! At Anytime Fitness make sure when you sign the contract, it really is a 12month contract! Not a 13month contract that they are scamming people into paying, make sure you understand that there contracts are roll on contracts and will have no sympathy over you or anyone else. They threatened me several times to involve debt collectors to pay the 13month. Please avoid the same mistake I made and you will then avoid the sleepless nights I’ve had over the last couple of months due to the staff of Anytime Fitness.

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility with beautiful, brand new equipment and a wonderful staff!! We've been members of Anytime for 2 years now, we are from America and have been to dozens of their gyms, and this one is honestly one of the nicest we have EVER been to. They have every machine (awesome treadmills), group fitness classes and wonderful bathroom/shower facilities- heated floors, hair driers and great music too! With the membership you also get a parking permit so you don't have to pay/search for a place to park. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area!
