Tadworth Leisure and Community Centre

Fantastic experience: Nice place to come and enjoy yourself. I went swimming here and it was okay.

Negative experience: 20 minute wait time to answer the phone. No point emailing as they won't reply. Go into the centre and the receptionist is either not there or just sitting around doing nothing. Utterly useless

Fantastic experience: Very well maintained leisure centre with friendly staff to support for the required needs.. Sat in a quite residential area gives a family friendly vibe to visit the leisure centre quite often..

Negative experience: Tried epsom rainbow for swimming for me and my grandaughter.. No slots and couldn't even buy arm bands as out of stock. We had paid for parking and website had no info to say you can't walk in you have to book. so tried to call Tadworth to see if we could go there and no one answers the phone. Drove all the way there to find the same thing. It's so frustrating that a person just wanting to go swimming can't but I can pay a membership or classes and go when I want. Some people can't afford memberships or classes and just want to take their granddaughter swimming as a rare exciting treat! Answering the phone would of made it a lot less stressful as I was already dealing with a very upset 2 year old.

Positive experience: Nice clean pool and amenities. Friendly staff too.

Positive experience: Decent leisure centre, great staff and good range of activities with usual Better app access. Minor irritants, the shallow end of the pool is just a little too shallow for me, and my hand touches the bottom when I swim; car parking can be problematic at busy times

Negative experience: i broke my leg and the only day i can go swimming for the phisio is a friday and that’s a week day, not very good

Positive experience: The music in the gym is always too loud not necessary as most people want to listen to their own stuff on their earphones. Also machines have recently been moved meaning if your on a rowing machine you are behind the bikes. Not ideal. Staff are great and its always clean.

Positive experience: Lots of parking, good facilities & everywhere is clean. Enjoy playing Pickleball there with Surrey Downs Pickleball in the sports hall.

Negative experience: Kicked us out of the swimming session session early so they could setup for a swimming club and then nowhere to change as swimming club just left all their stuff in the cubicles.

Positive experience: Pretty great swimming pool but let down slightly by the lack of seats for viewing (daughter in swimming lessons. I don't just go to watch random people swim. Although if there was enough interest and a pension plan....)

Positive experience: Great swimming pool, clean changing rooms, friendly staff. Only down side pool temperature can vary - some days very cold - not ideal when you have a medical condition. Ideally there should be a cold shower for entering pool as his would help to resolve temperature difference.

Fantastic experience: My son goes to play football every Saturday (he will be 3 in August) he really loves it. They are very nice and professional coaches. We have a good time. We went to Toddlers World with jumping castle etc… and it was super nice. My son loved it. I took some fitness classes (Zumba and group cycle) and both were very nice. I can only say good things about this place. I enjoy going there

Positive experience: Great gym .. only complaint is that people sit on their mobiles while using equipment taking twice as long as they should. Have some consideration guys !!

Negative experience: Great leisure center, one star for the showers. They are on a 10 second timer. Needing to press the button every 5 seconds because it’s about to switch off is infuriating. There is no temperature control and while the water does get warm enough, you will be sprayed with very cold water at the start. Sort this out and I’ll take off the review because I like the gym otherwise but really dislike your showers.

Fantastic experience: This my local gym, and it is very good and worth the £36 a month. I tend to go during the evenings after 8 and it's very nice. + Very clean. + Very modern. + Employees helpful. + Great air con during the summer. + TVs are a welcome addition. - Music is EDM and house, with cliché, done to death build ups and drops... it's a bit repetitive I must say. Can we get some Daft Punk? Maybe some rock n' roll and metal? Kyuss is a good band ;) - Another squat rack is desperately in need please!

Fantastic experience: This is my local gym and I love it. I go here at least 5 days a week. They have fantastic facilities, programs and equipment. They update the facilities/equipment, always listening to members to improve, and the gym is always kept clean and tidy. I see a member of staff maintaining the gym cleanliness frequently, this does not go unnoticed or under-appreciated. Staff are all super friendly and people who attend are very respectful. It's nice to share a gym space with others here.

Positive experience: Pool was fine

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities. Very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Will return. Update: My 4yr old had his first swimming lesson here. He is very scared of the water, so I was nervous how he would be in the pool without me. The swim instructor was incredible and my son left the pool extremely happy. It has given him a massive confidence boost and we are both excited about his next lesson. Pool was also warm and the changing facilities are spacious and kept clean.

Fantastic experience: So lovely! Receptionist was super nice. Yoga class was great and pool wasn’t too busy. Will be back next week!

Negative experience: Let me open with: This is not a review of the facilities of this centre, but access to said facilities. This company has a policy it seems of making it impossible to get in contact with anyone via phone directly at the site, instead you are directed to a call centre which is at best tenuously linked and unable to effect any real outcomes for you. If you wish to book an activity for more then one person, (say 5?) enjoy making 5 separate accounts to book each activity individually and pay 5 separate times. On top of this, if you want to bring your elderly grandfather or someone who is non-tech savvy there is literally no way to book them into a session. You cannot call, email or speak to anyone who can make a booking on their behalf. They are forced to make an account (regardless of if they have a computer or access to the internet..!) and sign themselves up! All to go for a swim or any other service "offered"! This exclusionary policy is a poor look in todays society. It seems an odd choice for a company which claims interested in keeping healthy to keep those away who sometimes most need their help! Disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Came here with my 1 year old to go to soft play. Can't recommend it enough, so cheap and lots of things for kids to play with. Centre is very clean, staff are very friendly and car park has more than enough spaces.

Positive experience: We booked a trampolining session for our little one during the Easter holiday and it was a mixed experience. Firstly the class was 1.5 hours which was great and gave all the kids lots of time on the trampoline - the centre itself is also lovely and has ample free parking. I did however have some considerable concerns relating to this activity. Firstly one of the coaches (lady with blonde hair - I think she may lead the trampoline classes) was the only adult watching two trampolines with no spotters around the side of either one - obviously this is a big worry as a child could be seriously injured if they fall. This particular coach also made numerous inappropriate comments including 'you can always trust a boy to mess it up' and spent most of the session referring to the kids as 'that boy' or 'that girl' instead of finding out their name. She also shouted loudly at the children a number of times which was really quite inappropriate. The coach on my sons trampoline took absolutely no interest in the kids at all. Many parents weren't present in the hall (I presume they were in the cafe) - the number of staff members to unaccompanied children was in no way legal and the lax reception desk means anybody could of simply walked in. I have given 4 stars due to the centre being very nice and my son enjoying his session but I must admit that I wouldn't rush back. Staff are not very friendly and at the end of the session we simply walked out - no goodbye or acknowledgement of him at all. The safety issues need to be addressed as a matter of urgency and the staff taught how to communicate effectively with young children.

Negative experience: Today I tried to get a refund, as I had been charged again, despite my cancellation the previous month. The First Lady I spoke to on the phone was very calm and addressed the issue in a sympathetic manner. As I am on a gap year and don’t have a lot of money, so being charged for a service I don’t use is a financial burden for me. She sent me a return form that did not work, unfortunately. So I called up again, and spoke to a man called Mark. Who was incredibly rude and passive aggressive, and did not apologise for my inconvenience. He did not confirm when he had sorted the refund out for me, he just left me on the line asking if it had he been done yet. He shouted over me saying “please” in a passive aggressive manner over and over again cause he did not want to hear my service complaint. I believe Mark shouldn’t be on the customer helplines as he doesn’t have any sympathy or care for querying members of the gym.

Negative experience: Arrived with my gran daughter to banstead swimming pool this morning. To find the member of staff who said he was manager Would not accept no cash . I then replied that there is no online or Advertising stating this . How are the public meant to comply He was very unhelpful . My daughter turned up to tap a card to pay He then said we could of paid online . As a public person using this Vacility find it very hard to no that swimming baths don’t take cash but cafeteria in same premises does .As a manger I found him no help at all and should go on a manager refreshment course .As his dealing with the public

Positive experience: Very nice pool, good gym and some nice equipment, if you want change from the front desk for the lockers however it's a different matter as this is a cashless system now. V moody front staff. (Shame)

Fantastic experience: Good selection of kit, classes and shared spaces including swimming pool. Parking can be tricky sometimes. Never used the cafe but it looks okay. Staff are always cleaning something so it's a clean gym. It gets busy so be prepared to share equipment

Negative experience: Tried to contact by phone as the information i needed was not on their web site. After listening to a lot of apologies over necessary Covid restrictions i pressed the telephone key as instructed to speak to a member of staff and was immediately cut off. Tried twice more but got the same result. Very poor, open or closed? Is there a problem with the pool? No staff so closed? For a public facility that i guess is at least payed for/subsidised by us? I will now take a trip over there so my grand children will not be disappointed tomorrow.

Negative experience: Expensive for what it is. Limited times for facilities. Want to swim every morning. You can't. Want to swim every evening. You can't. Poor value given large amount of council funding.

Positive experience: The pool is great although the bench press is currently not in use, I hope they will get it running soon. Everything else is good. EDIT: The bench press is now running however I do think they are missing one or two machines. Such as a hack squat or any machine to do rear delts. Other than that it is much cleaner than many of the better gyms I have been to such as the rainbow. I recommend here

Negative experience: I have been asking for my disabled daughter its nearly 3 years for 1;1 for swimming, everytime l go or call only to be told no tutor.Thats ridiculous!!!

Positive experience: Took a very long time to answer my phone call on a Sunday afternoon when they cannot be inundated with phone calls, plus I had to phone 5 times before it was picked up, and even then my conversation felt like I was bothering them.
