Fantastic experience: Good gym

Fantastic experience: Amazing place. Swimming lessons are brilliant and the swim teachers are lovely. We also do gymnastics there and both teachers are really good with the children.

Positive experience: A good place to play pickle-ball, but will be even better once they sort the lighting out. The staff are excellent. Very helpful.

Negative experience: Well all I can say shame on Doncaster council.. staff were lovely, but the place is run down dirty and had small black flea type bugs in cubicles . The showers are poor . It needs to be updated ALOT

Negative experience: Shocked at the poor standard of Hygene, filthy is a compliment. The tiled flooring in the pool changing area is filthy, the soakaways appeared to have had sewage come through very recently as there was a horrible stain around these drains and smell unbearable! Both mens toilets WC where out of order and again the smell was horrendous. Maybe this is acceptable to the regular users but I suggest a good Health&Safety Hygene Audit is well over due. Shame on dclt for poor monitoring of this centre. We won't be returning.

Negative experience: What a shocking gym! I use DCLT Balby fitness village which has been closed to refurb, dearne valley been the second closest thought I’d trail it for a week, firstly out of there control but don’t go here if your on a time schedule as there is a 85% chance you’ll be sat at the train lines for over 10 minutes entering & leaving.. then the staff! My “DCLT” card doesn’t work on there machine & there is NEVER any staff on the gym desk it’s like where’s wally trying to find staff there all hiding in cupboards.. then the equipment! Horrific no bench press in a gym? Are you for real.. all knackard equipment from the 1970’s seems like the DCLT team has completly abandoned dearne valley, possibly the worst gym Iv ever used

Negative experience: Gym full of kids after school so can’t get on any machine because they mess around in groups?! Pay £30 a month and can’t do anything there! No staff ever to supervise them or sort out when they’re disruptive (which is most of the time). Weekend was the only useable time. Definitely go somewhere else.

Positive experience: The changing rooms are a bit questionable in terms of how clean they are but overall for a local pool it's OK. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Negative experience: When we went to Dearne Valley leisure centre, no seating poolside was provided to spectators, no drink machines, and the heating system was either not working or not put on. Overall it was a disappointing experience.

Fantastic experience: Just started taking my little grandson swimming. He absolutely loves it nice little toddler pool just right hight for him. Lovely staff hard working to. Plenty of places to park

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise the staff enough for their help consideration and kindness. my husband had a stroke now disabled and they have very kindly let me use the disabled wet room to shower him as he cannot get upstairs at home and assisted us with him in the pool which has worked wonders for his rehab and getting some mobility back. A Big Thank You to you all

Positive experience: Great swimming pool.

Fantastic experience: We use the Dearne Valley Leisure Centre as members, mostly for Lane Swimming most mornings from 07:30-08:30. The Centre is only about three miles from our home so very handy. The staff and other members / users are always welcoming and the pool temperature is just right! Very pleased we joined, I have used the gym a few times and now our grandkids are back at school and I have more free time, will start using it more in future.

Positive experience: Went swimming, got someone trying to lane swim and bumping into kids. Staff did nothing when approached. Got told kid couldn't use one of there many floats. Staff busy talking to each other

Negative experience: Don't take your kids to "swim for all" it's full of lane swimmers and even speed swimmers. My youngest son got kicked in the head by a young man who looked at him like he wanted to kill him, 5 minutes later something similar happened to me. Everyone in there agreed that it was crazy,eventhe lifeguards, with one exception, the manager. We had to leave after 20 minutes because you can't move from the sides. I've been coming for years, but never again!

Negative experience: Doncaster Council listen to your members / ex members. I have cancelled my member ship after 4 years due to the following reason. This centre use to offer evening lane swimming which was perfect for us working adults. But now they only offer 7:30-8:30 AM which for 99% of working adults is not possible! Please offer evening swimming again

Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff, great facilities on site. Child freindly with lots of CCTV. More than ample classes to go at as well which are included in memberships. Can't go wrong a decent price for what is included too.

Fantastic experience: Your Space is your space. Name tells everything. Where you there you create your own space and carry in with your excercise. People are very helpfull, if you need help they will advise and help you.

Negative experience: Tried calling the Leisure Centre for the last 3 days, spent 20-30 minutes on each call to move 1 place forward in a que, absolutely ridiculous.

Positive experience: The building is looking a bit tired & no cafe but everywhere was clean and our girls had a great family swim session. Not too busy either.

Positive experience: Swim sessions are few and far between. If you happen to work for a living, there's not really any options as sessions are early morning or lunchtime. No time to fit a swim in. Not sure how they manage to stay open with the lack of sessions. Hope they sort it out soon. Not a bad place though, a little grubby in the changing rooms though.

Negative experience: Unable to use these facilities due to being employed and them only offering two swimming sessions a day when I'm get ready for / and at work. I live less than 5 minutes away but have to go to much further away pools, and not DCLT ones either. I also seems that the rest of the DCLT pools have bare bones timetables too. Typical Doncaster council mentality, sort it out this is not what I pay my council tax for.

Negative experience: This place is 5 minutes away from my house but doesn’t offer any evening adult swimming sessions hence forcing me to drive 25 minutes to the next nearest. Small actions like this are leading to global warming. Unfortunately I’ve never been inside to focus on the facilities.

Negative experience: Went to watch my granddaughter's swimming lesson. A little disappointed to be honest and in my honest opinion given that it was baby group Ducklings I think there should be more than one instructor for this particular group. It appeared that he appeared more interested in completing tick boxes in between each child meanwhile the little ones are sat shivering on the pool side

Fantastic experience: I attended the Dearne Valley Leisure Centre with my family for our Covid-19 Vaccinations and they were done fantastically. The whole setup was extremely professional and each of the staff and tram were on hand to help throughout the whole process. We all went through our 2 vaccinations without any problems and we are safe against the Covid-19 Virus. If you are booking your vaccinations and looking for a centre, get into this one if you can. They really are a great team of people just wanting to help the public become safe!

Positive experience: Decent place not sure how you book or enquire about things they have took away the Reception, the cafe is shut. It was loads better before covid now they have took away the reception and kept the cafe closed it doesn't feel like it used to, I feel they need to being the Reception and cafe back

Positive experience: Cannot believe in this health and safety driven period that your not allowed to shower after a swim with other peoples bodily fluid in the pool

Fantastic experience: Currently the carpark here is being used as a temporary Covid 19 testing center. It is well sign posted and the staff (army!) were super friendly and helpful. You need to pre book your time slot using the Government's website, then turn up at the right time. It operates like a drive through: you scan your Gov. code, collect the kit, park in allotted space, carryout test in your own time, drive over to exit when you're ready. This is where you hand over the completed test and off you go. You should receive your results within 48 hours.

Fantastic experience: Been coming for years and it is simply amazing. From the huge array of sports and classes ,which include swimming, gym classes and martial arts, to the helpful staff this place could be the best leisure centre in the area.

Positive experience: Excellent sports hall. The showers aren't the best however.

Fantastic experience: We go regularly to disabled sports on a Tuesday at 5pm it's only £2 and they love it allsorts of disabilities and carers welcome

Negative experience: Specific swimmimg staff when goes with sxhool changed my opinion of the place
