Hindley Leisure Centre

Fantastic experience: I tried the indoor cycling class not knowing what to expect, it was a hard workout and will go again in winter but I prefer outdoor biking when the weather permits. It is a nice facility though.

Positive experience: Only use this place for the sauna & steam room facilities (when they’re open).. with are both okay. But both the steam room & sauna need an update/refurb.. Only 2 showers, one barely works and has had a leaky pipe for a good 3 years. Plunge pool is brilliant. the gym is tiny; if you need anything other than cardio I suggest you go elsewhere..

Negative experience: Attended Cardio step in the studio 1/12/23 (5:30pm). And circuit 2/12/23 (9am) in the gym. The place is a pig sty. Discarded bottles and food wrappers in the studio. The gym floor is disgusting, dirt and dust everywhere. Downright dangerous when your working out on the floor. Ironically the cleanest place was the corridor actually leading to the places were fitness / "healthy" activity should take place

Positive experience: Very pleasent staff who are willing too help. Gyms abit small could do with being extended

Fantastic experience: Attended my first pilates class, loved every minute of it , will certainly be coming again. Also attended my first dance class 5/12/23 , what a delight and a very lovely dance tutor who loves her skill, definitely a do again class. Hopefully I'll know my left from my right very shortly.

Negative experience: I recently visited Hindley Leisure Center and sadly, my experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment I stepped inside, it was evident that cleanliness was not a priority. The floors were dirty and appeared to be covered in dust, which was particularly concerning for someone like me who suffers from asthma. The lack of cleanliness made me question the overall hygiene standards at the facility. One of the major drawbacks of my visit was the indifference displayed by the staff. Despite being aware of the unclean conditions, none of the staff members took the initiative to address the issue or inquire about my experience. This lack of concern and attentiveness left me feeling neglected as a customer. To support my claims, I have attached a few pictures that clearly capture the unclean and dusty state of the leisure center. The images speak for themselves and provide concrete evidence of the poor maintenance and disregard for cleanliness. Considering my experience, I would not recommend Hindley Leisure Center, especially to individuals who suffer from asthma or have sensitivity to unclean environments. It is disappointing to see a facility that fails to prioritize hygiene and customer satisfaction. In conclusion, Hindley Leisure Center left me thoroughly disappointed due to its dirty and dusty floors, indifference from the staff, and overall lack of cleanliness. I hope that management takes immediate action to address these issues and improve the experience for future visitors.

Fantastic experience: Love my pilates and low aerobics classes. Angela is great and really pushes you and helps you get the right technique. I also enjoy Gillys yoga class.

Fantastic experience: Great place for a kick around. Play 5 a side here most weeks with mates. Good bit of fitness and a pressure relief. All amenities are available, toilets, showers, drinks machine, snack machine, equiptment hire and vast amounts of parking. Friendly staff that also give u a shout as your time is about to elapse. There is a bar upstairs to hire for functions should u require that. Located on the local high school grounds

Fantastic experience: Staff very pleasant. Hall good for our badminton teams. Will be closing next week for 3 weeks. New lights being fitted then exams for 2 weeks.It has been far better now new lights installed. Now arranged a block booking for our group.All as before. No real change.
