Glasgow Club Pollok: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Just recently started using the gym here, friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: A great place for weans to learn to swim! The coaches are all great.
Fantastic experience: I am a newbee member and use swimming pool. Firstly I feel very safe as you are well looked after by several life guards. The pool has a good temperature. There is a pool for your little kiddies. Pool is split into lanes for different types of swimmers and depth of water. There is a very strong wave machine..amazing. lots of showers to use. 3 or 4 hair dryers to use after swim. Plenty of lockers, just bring a 20p. I think it's a fab facility. I'm not the best of swimmers but that does not matter.. I'll just keep going back.
Fantastic experience: Friendly and well equipped
Fantastic experience: Well equipped gym and good price for membership.
Negative experience: Dose not show anything about swimming lessons but the pool overall is ok
Positive experience: Excellent gym , great facilities just need longer times would he better
Fantastic experience: Pool is great and the staff are too
Positive experience: I've only used the pool at this club. It's great for a leisure swim. The pool is too short to do proper laps but it can be done if you don't mind turning more often. The staff are friendly and approachable but will quickly let you know if you are doing the wrong thing (i.e. swimming out of your depth, not abiding by the pool rules, etc). The venue could offer longer opening times and also being open at the weekend. Overall a very good swimming experience.
Fantastic experience: Nice Friendly staff but think we need more machines
Negative experience: Firstly it needs to be a longer time I most of the times don't get home from skl at 4 and they are shut at 4 and they need to be open at the weekend, and need to let us know when swimming lessons are on and that
Positive experience: Was great used to got there alot but not so much now and it seems to be tourism hot spot now, or just when I seem to go but it is a great park I would recommend going even if its just for a stroll around
Positive experience: Disappointed they no longer open at weekends. GCC cuts. But staff are always pleasant and helpful
Positive experience: Took my son swimming. Shame the centre is only open Monday to Friday. Should be open at the weekend when the kids are off school.
Negative experience: Really friendly staff, small pool. Feel a bit self conscious as the main shower before the pool is very public. Good for families, less so for swimmers as there's no real lanes. Still will be back!
Positive experience: Excellent facilities
Fantastic experience: Love coming to Jackie's class on a Tues evening she makes the class so much fun to go to.
Positive experience: Facilties are good although could do with a health suite like other Glasgow Club facilities although I admit space is limited. Staff are hit and miss as reception staff are very friendly and some of the lifeguards at the pool can be a little bit too busy chatting to colleagues than doing their job and in the gym Jack is a really encouraging and friendly instructor but Jason leaves a lot to be desired and seems more keen on checking himself out in the mirror and using the facilities himself than encouraging those around him.
Fantastic experience: We enjoyed the pools. Suitable for all ages and very affordable and clean.
Fantastic experience: Just go here for the swimming, great pool with wave machine my 5 year old loves it. Staff friendly, professional and polite
Fantastic experience: Good gym but changing and showers need updating
Fantastic experience: Great place to take younger kids as its mostly shallow and walk in entrance to the water. There is also the slide and the waves but these are not always on. Staff are friendly and helpful too.
Fantastic experience: This is the gym where I always visit because of the well looked over the equipments and very high standard of hygiene compared to other locations. Member of the staffs are very friendly which makes you feel good and motivated. Jason , jack and the teams are very friendly and helpful with my training. Many thanks to these folks. I would highly recommend this place.
Fantastic experience: Ok if got the, energy
Fantastic experience: Experienced staff great place to exercise
Positive experience: Very good
Positive experience: Nice place to spend time with family..
Positive experience: good
Fantastic experience: Really need aqua aerobics r they on and do you need to book
Positive experience: Been going here since birth
Fantastic experience: Was brilliant. Like the good old days before covid
Fantastic experience: Best leisure pool in Glasgow.
Positive experience: Clean pool next to silverburn shopping centre so kids can go for a swim while you are shopping or seeing a movie.
Fantastic experience: Got everything you need
Negative experience: First time visit today to swimming.Disappointed with service....waves and flumes not working!Cleanliness way below an acceptable level. On the positive staff were approachable and listened to my complaint ..
Fantastic experience: Went for physio. Very well equipped.
Negative experience: Old equipment, unhelpful staff.
Fantastic experience: Great place and offer free kids swims during summer. awesome place for swimming
Positive experience: Good selection of gym equipment, friendly staff and very down to earth atmosphere. Poser free zone. As of Aug 2019 the car park is a mess though with large potholes and contantly full with people using it for Silverburn.
Fantastic experience: حرف نداره کاکو good place
Negative experience: So I went to Pollok swimming at silverburn on Wednesday 17th of July 2019,when I was swimming in the deep side of the pool,my goggles were too loose, but I didn't try to fix it because they were my friend's.And the water was in my eyes so I springed up to fix it then a woman who was roughly 6 foot 2,dark hair and slightly round.they said to me “If that's your real swimming get out!”.
Positive experience: Good pool for the kids. Clean
Fantastic experience: Great Wee Idea
Positive experience: Handy wee gym. Can be busy at times though. Swimming pool more for kids. Parking is horrendous.
Fantastic experience: Pool is good
Fantastic experience: Good
Fantastic experience: Very clean pool and changing area
Fantastic experience: Weekly visit with P5's
Positive experience: We popped in here to use the swimming baths as the one we usually go to is closed for repair. Parking is tight but was "security controlled" (by a man asking where you were going to go once you'd parked), I assume to stop people using it then heading into Silverburn. Prices are the standard Glasgow Club ones and the facilities were fine. The kids had fun, which is the main thing, and it was great to see the big ladies water-cise class going on while I was in there with them. Obviously a well-used and liked local facility.
Fantastic experience: Always nice and clean . This is the only reason i go here with my family and nice depth for the beginners. Keep up the good work
Positive experience: Nice place to go with friends
Positive experience: This Gym and swimming pool is housed within a building that used to be part of the old Pollok Centre now replaced by Silverbum. A fairly decent facility although I have only used the pool, but the gym looks well appointed. The swimming also has a flume and a wave machine and does swimming lessons.
Fantastic experience: Good gym friendly staff
Fantastic experience: I really love it here i go all the time!!!!
Negative experience: No discount for pensioners. Had to pay full price but couldn't use all off the pool because of swimming lessons. Flume never open and wave doesn't work so why are we paying full price when you can only use half a pool.
Fantastic experience: Great pool
Positive experience: Gorgeous place to be
Fantastic experience: Great sports centre
Positive experience: Great pool for kids, waves and flume never on when we go.
Fantastic experience: Had my gym induction today. Staff very attentive could not have asked for any better.
Positive experience: Good small gym with pool. Awful for parking
Fantastic experience: Gab
Positive experience: Small but adequate, busy times can get a bit annoying in the free weights section.
Positive experience: Nice for kidsx
Positive experience: Brilliant
Positive experience: Not really a pool for swimmers (estimate 15m length), but good option for water aerobics/ rehab/children.
Negative experience: super
Positive experience: Good staff.
Positive experience: Poor parking
Positive experience: My local gym. Well equipped and quit
Fantastic experience: Gym is very good and so is equipment
Positive experience: Small gym with a small amount of classes to attend. Good sized pool but more for kids than swimmers.
Fantastic experience: Clean with friendly staff comfortable surroundings and great equipment.
Positive experience: Wave machine in swimming been broke for months no sign of it being fixed. Slide hardly ever open for the kids. No floats etc like there used to be for kids to play with. Staff are friendly but not enough range of equipment in a small gym and alot of the time queues to use a weight machine.
Positive experience: Very good facilities - gym & pool well appointed
Negative experience: Parking horrendous, pool opening times don't suit working people, closed throughout Christmas holiday period .
