One Leisure St Ives Indoor

Positive experience: Went to a market for reenactment purposes. No idea about the leisure centre.

Negative experience: We booked bowling for a 5 year old and parent for 9am on a Saturday. Turned up and apparently they don't start until 10, this is an issue that's happened with the booking system before. I realise that where we live isn't their issue but it's a 20 minute drive there for us, so 40 minute round trip for nothing. Do better please one leisure

Negative experience: The gym is OK, and the gym (and front desk) staff with whom I interacted are very nice, but the facility itself appears to be appallingly badly run, presumably owing to multiple tiers of management failure. There is car parking.

Fantastic experience: The only thing I do here with the family is the swimming classes for my children, but the teaching staff are great, they have the patience but eagerness for the kids to progress in a good timely fashion. The reception staff are busy but always have time for you to sort through any issues. The is a reasonable amount of differing foods and drinks available at the cafe, staff are friendly and aim to do their best for all.

Negative experience: Dirty, horrible place. Spa stinks and feels dirty.. phones are never answered or a 45min wait, just a very badly ran business, avoid this place

Fantastic experience: Took my grandson swimming. Good sized pool, not too busy today. Showers were very hot and you can't regulate them or keep them switched on. Otherwise like any other municipal pool facility

Positive experience: My girls (5 and 7) did swimming lessons here…some of the instructors are great (Josh), some just do water play the whole lesson and teach very little. Changing room floors and cubicles are all quite dirty every week, sadly. Today a fire alarm went off and they sent all the kids outside in soaking wet costumes when it was barely 9 degrees, to then later tell us it was a “false alarm”. Completely unnecessary and we won’t be returning.

Positive experience: It is ok, good swimming pool, price is quite reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Lots of activities, even bowling. The swimming pool has a rail with steps against the wall, but I have heard that there is a lift to help disabled people in and out of the water. I’m not disabled but the steps are hard to use when you’re holding a baby, you really need two hands to get in and out

Fantastic experience: Lovely place, great equipment, wide range of fitness machines. The only downside is the location and it may take quite a while to get there during peak hours traffic.

Fantastic experience: I was a bit apprehensive about going back to a gym after COVID. But after getting courage I went to the One leisure centre in St Ives, and I'm glad I did. I Met Annisia. who was extremely knowledgeable. Talked through health check which was very thorough I was booked in for an induction where everything was explained and questions answered . Booked in for 1st session yesterday 7th went very well and HV booked further session. Can't thank her enough. . All doing great job. Thank you

Negative experience: Clash of events very limited parking Quing traffic for over 1 mile. Once inside a smallish sports hall No airflow it was to hot to stay long .this place is to small for the lego brickfests

Negative experience: Work nights and in this heat wanted a swim arrived to be told can’t swim unless it’s at 6pm for an hour mon tues thurs as that is the only public swimming on the timetable as I’m at work then it would be quite hard not much of a public facility if you can’t access it

Fantastic experience: The taster rookie lifeguard session was absolutely amazing, my son loved it and the teacher was really nice.

Fantastic experience: The bowling alley is really cool, just as fun as at other larger venues.

Negative experience: The gym gets overcrowded and gets filled with angry roidheads and kids who don’t know what they’re doing. The gym isn’t well equipped with half the equipment falling apart.

Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre, wish they’d open up the heat/ steam/ sauna rooms back up!

Fantastic experience: Arrived at my first cardiac session yesterday. The gym is well kitted out with a nice friendly atmosphere. The session I had was excellent. A personal program was done and I'm ready to go for the next 12 weeks. Thanks Darren.

Negative experience: Took myself and my son for bowling today, we booked and paid for 2 games. After game 1 my little one needed the toilet so off we went, only to come back to our lane where all of our personal things were to find the staff using our lane! They said “we thought you had gone” despite the fact our bags and coats were still on the seats, we had only been gone a matter of minutes, they said they would reset it all which took about 15 minutes to get right. We then ran out of time and couldn’t finish our games which we paid for. I went to complain but the front desk was too busy

Positive experience: Excellent facilities, good range of clubs and tutored sessions

Positive experience: A good range of facilities. Great classes. They used to do good children's activities during school holidays but they stopped with covid hopefully they will return. The swimming changing rooms are so much better than they used to be and family changing is a welcome addition. The pool can be cold at times other times it isn't too bad but worth bearing in mind if you're taking young children. Float fun and the inflatable is well enjoyed by my children. Bowling is also really fun and the cafe is reasonably priced too.

Negative experience: Awful miserable moody staff throughout the facility with one in particular VERY rude, vile and condescending to my fiance, AVOID. Will not be returning to oneleisure, would sooner make the longer trip to another gym elsewhere.

Positive experience: Lots of different facilities like a bowling alley, swimming pool, gym, spa, a cafe and lots of rooms available for hire

Positive experience: Nice enough, the gym is well equipped, the staff are friendly but the pool is often overcrowded and the facilities are a little worn.

Fantastic experience: Ist time I had been to one leisure at St Ives, my friend invited me to try Aquafit, 12.15pm session. I thoroughly enjoyed the exercise to the music, which helped to encouraged and keep me focused hence 5* given. As I enjoyed so much I've booked in for a session for the following week.

Fantastic experience: Good facilities, join with monthly payments and enjoy unlimited visits for your chosen activity. Great for an early morning swim or in the gym to stay fit.

Fantastic experience: We took my son and his friend to play basketball practice.As there's not one at At St Neots one leisure.I think it would be nice to have a Basketball club at St Neots.As there's only one that I know of and it's not very good,but expensive.

Positive experience: This is a well equipped leisure centre and the facilities are reasonably priced. I have always found the staff to be helpful in all the time I have been attending the gym here.

Positive experience: Generally pretty happy, but I'd like to know why staff at reception are unmasked whereas almost all spectators at swimming lessons are wearing them?

Positive experience: Have visited twice for lane swimming. The pool seems too warm for serious swimming but it is good to have somewhere available. Possibly might work better with three wider lanes than the four narrow ones? Pre-swim showers barely work and are cold, so no wonder few used them. Post-swim showers barely work - more water comes out from the button-valve that the shower head! Still, the changing areas are new and reasonably clean.

Fantastic experience: Swimming pool itself was nice and warm for family swim. Changing rooms' upgrade is much appreciated. Only downside is people not being encouraged to shower before going into the pool. (but that's probably cultural thing ;)

Positive experience: nice big place for family as well...they guided false before we buy membership about bedminton court cost but helped us for a day to book free. everything is available under one roof...

Negative experience: Since I have joined (8 months), noone at the reception ever greeted me or asked how I am!! Usually they stopping me if I arrive few minutes earlier to the gym and talking down to me or being rude, just like today. 3 people at the reception, no "hi"or anything, just "you arrived too early, you have to wait" No "please". ( I arrived 5 minutes earlier). I just renewed my membership but really regretted. I know we are all have problems and cannot be pleasant all the time but these people honestly the worst bunch mixture of people who have no idea about customer service. I myself worked in the fitness and leisure industry for 15 years and would be fired straight away to treating paying customers like that. They also never pick up the phone whenever I tried to call the club. Shame on you St Ives One Leisure!

Negative experience: Booked a slot for badminton only to then get told you have to bring your own equipment. This is after we were given directions to the court when we're clearly standing there with no equipment. What did she think we were gna play with? brain dead staff. How long have we been in a pandemic? Website/app not updated.

Positive experience: The pool and changing rooms were freezing, my little boy shivered the whole time in the pool and lips turned blue in the changing rooms.
