Negative experience: Denied entry with a pompous and annoying attitude because I was exactly 1 min late. They said I was supposed to arrive 10-15 mins early but it literally didn’t say this anywhere in he booking. No refund or rebooking offered Edit: I really don't see what health and safety issues would arise from being 1 min late. A little bit of leniency would go a long way, life happens

Fantastic experience: I do both Reshape and Reformer and absolutely love both of these classes! The coaches are great and always keep you motivated. The facilities are clean and have so many useful services like water bottles, cold towels, plastic bags… And the people at the desk are always kind and helpful!

Fantastic experience: Great staff and instructors, always clean. Towels and water bottles included and delicious protein shakes. I'd have every session if they were slightly cheaper. Been a rebel for years. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great experience for Reshape Class. Didn’t feel too complicated and was perfectly Balanced. HIIT Drink is surprisingly veryy good.. although little on pricier side (Wouldn’t expect less at such an area).

Negative experience: I do reformer at places like Frame and 3Tribes and I can say confidently that the classes at 1Rebel are the worst I’ve experienced. Not proper reformer; Repetitive, boring and dangerous as you aren’t given clear instructions. The spin classes at Victoria are quite good but I would avoid the reformer at all costs! Waste of money.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, it was a very bad experience: the treadmill didn’t work, the trainer didn’t pay attention and the changing room was packed, with people practically jostling each other as they tried to change clothes, barely an inch between them

Fantastic experience: I started at 1Rebel because a) I needed to find a workout that could keep my attention (I was previously a competitive CrossFitter but stopped due to injuries) and b) the £49 for 3 classes offer got my attention. I took my first Reshape class and was presented with another offer (£30 for 3 Rumble) and tried that too. I absolutely LOVE (and I mean LOVE) 1Rebel. The design of the business (get a membership and have access to Reshape, Rumble, Reformer and Rig) is amazing. It keeps things fun and interesting if you ever feel like you’re getting bored. I’m super focused on getting into shape quickly so Reshape is my go to. Every time I get 1/3 of the way in the class and on a treadmill I think “I HATE running, why did I come here, why do I keep doing this” and at the end of the class I think “WOW, I feel amazing, I love this class I’m so glad I came”. I’ve already lost a few kilos since joining and when I travel I think about how much I miss this gym. 10/10 would recommend. And for those curious I did all 6 intro classes & signed up for a full membership (plus when I do early mornings I treat myself to a Biscoffy shake post workout which is absolute heaven).

Fantastic experience: A great studio. This particular location has Reshape (a mix of cardio on a treadmill + weights, à la Barry’s) and Reformer classes. Both are great in my opinion and extremely good value for money vs Barry’s/Heartcore/etc. The instructors are demanding but motivate you throughout the class. The studio décor is nice, and the amenities in the changing rooms are some of the best I’ve seen. Can’t speak for the boys’ room, but the in the girls they have everything you could need from shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body moisturizer, face moisturizer, cleansing lotion, cotton pads, Q-tips, hair ties, etc. there’s GHD hairdryers and straighteners and an ironing station available too. They provide towels (black color is such a nice touch!) and sweat towels too. Just a great option

Negative experience: One of the worst studios I’ve been to in London - and I use ClassPass a lot so have been to many different studios. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place and their rude staff. I arrived 4 minutes early to class and was told because I hadn’t done reformer at 1Rebel before I had missed the induction by 1 minute…. And would therefore not be allowed into class at all. Rude staff behind the desk who even after I explained I have been doing reformer for years and don’t need an induction to the equipment and have used the very same model of reformer bed before, wouldn’t listen and honestly seems like they got a kick out of refusing me saying it was on the email. As a ClassPass user I get loads of emails from them so don’t look at them as it’s usually a booking confirmation etc I even explained I’d taken time off work and travelled in specifically for this class and was really looking forward to it. So disappointed by this and them as a company

Positive experience: First time reformer Pilates. I think it’s for advance levels and it’s quite intense. Please do turn up on time or the doors will close!

Negative experience: I arrived about 15 minutes early to the class. Was welcomed by a really friendly guy behind the desk. I said I was new and he took me through the instructions. How to use lockers, to arrive 5 minutes before the class to reception for the induction and if I would like to purchase a pair of grip socks. I declined and asked if I could wear my own socks or is it bare feet? He said no to bare feet due to hygiene reasons. I arrived 8 minutes before for the induction at reception and waited to go in. As I was about to go in a lady behind reception said I would need to purchase some grip socks for £12. I said pardon, I was told I didn’t need them. She said I do and asked for what size I was. I glanced over at the guy and he kind of shrunk. At this point everyone was going in to do the induction. I went to go and get my bank card from my locker, came back flustered as my locker was now jammed. Stated my locker wasn’t opening and the lady behind the counter said bluntly you need to get into the induction, you’re missing it. I said I’m quite flustered that my locker won’t open now and it has my belongings in it. She told me she had a master key and to go into the glass and pay after. I went into the class mid way through the induction and was quite overwhelmed. The rude lady came in with the socks and said pay for them when you get out. I said I think I’m just going to leave, I’ve missed the induction and this has all been too much. She came with me to open my locker and stated it was my fault and that I should have turned up 5 minutes before the class for the induction When I explained, she looked at me blankly and walked off. Not before somebody else asked her to unlock their locker cos it was jammed too. She was the honestly the rudest person and she shouldn’t be in that industry as she has a knack for making you feel flustered and small. I think the situation was made worse by her tone and bluntness. I can see that the grip socks required is on their profile but it’s not really clear as it’s in the about section. There should be some sort of pop up when you book or something.

Negative experience: Love love 1rebel but one of the most unfriendly staff in this location

Negative experience: Before going in to the reformer pilates class my lartner and I were told we couldn't go in without buying a specific pair of socks for £12 each. There was no mention of this when booking the class and I wouldn't have gone if I'd known ahead of time, it brought the class price up to £37 (each) which is absurd

Negative experience: 1Rebel have recently introduced grippy socks as mandatory for their classes. This is fine to introduce, however, no prior warning was given for ClassPass members about this update. This meant myself and others had to spend £14 on a pair of socks in order do the class. As this was 1Rebel’s own comms failing I would have expected myself and the other girls to have been allowed to attend the class with the mandate that we would need socks next time. However the receptionists at Angel refused us entry. As someone who's been coming to 1Rebel for about 2 years now, this felt hostile and overly stringent. A big shame as I love coming to this studio but it’s soured my experience.

Fantastic experience: I have had the absolute pleasure of being a member at 1Rebel for the past eight months, and I can confidently say that it has been a transformative fitness journey. From the state-of-the-art facilities to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, this gym has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Highly recommended! :)

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Definitely best for classes in London. Staff also really nice and professional. Jack in particular always makes me very really welcome and definitely plays the best music when on shift! 5* for me!

Negative experience: Avoid!!! I arrived at 7:20am for 7:30am class. Reception was very busy - after waiting my turn to check in, they closed the doors and I missed my class. Very rude lady. Reception would not book me into the next class.

Negative experience: I booked a class for today at 2:00 pm at 1Rebel Angel. When I arrived at the place at 2:00 pm exactly the lady at the desk was extremely rude and refuse to give me access as she claimed that the class is closing at 2:00 pm. I've explained her that I booked the class for this time and it doesn’t mention anywhere that I need to come before the class begins. She rudely dismissed me and told me she can’t do anything and this the policy. I am still extremely shocked and embarrassed by the service I received and the way the situation has been handled. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there as the service is shocking!

Fantastic experience: I love it. Changing rooms can get crowded but love the classes and the amazing instructors

Negative experience: Felt like they're manufacturing money - 40+ people on 1 trainer so no chance of any personal attention (corrections etc), and on top of that music is loud enough so nobody understands the instructions. Dangerous unless you're a professional gymnast.

Fantastic experience: Great classes with expert instructors. Showers are great with amazing shampoo and conditioner. Great place to join!

Positive experience: been here for a year and have now ended the contract. pros: - brilliant trainers who encourage and motivate you. super helpful during the class. love them all - dark moody lighting which helps to zone out and focus on your training - brilliant playlists every session - very clean lockers/changing room. thank you cleaning team - very friendly front of house team cons (mainly on 1rebel in general) - £15/17 charge for cancellations within 12 hours after booking - once added to waiting list. you cant remove yourself. therefore will be charged if you’re allowed in and don’t show up. - very expensive - was not offered any deal that’s not available to the public to encourage me to stay. All in all angel 1rebel is great because the team there is amazing. but you’ll soon be bored with just the two classes they do - reformer and reshape. the major annoyance was the cancellation fees and restrictive booking rules. people are busy and sometimes plans change. better off at another local - virgin active or fitness first where you get more for your buck!

Fantastic experience: Signed up for the intro offer (3 classes for £45) this week and used it up in 3 days. Great studio, top-notch equipment, and superb instructors. The classes combine running (sprints, hills, and sled pulls), bodyweight drills and dumbbell drills, so it's a good way to get a balanced workout in just 45 minutes.

Negative experience: I have had some good instructors and classes, however the attitude from reception and one of the instructors when I left a class (I felt like it was badly organised) was horrible. They weren’t able to accept the feedback, it was really odd and childish. UPDATE Since I posted this review I was contacted and offered a free class to make up for my experience. This was professional and nice of them but I declined as I wouldn’t feel comfortable going back.

Negative experience: I have never seen a reformer used in this way…sadly not the Pilates I had hoped for. Good lighting and nice people though

Negative experience: Unfortunately there is always a first time. Today was the first time I had to face a very disappointing customer service from 1Rebel. 1Rebel did convince me for the last 2 years with a super friendly atmosphere, customer experience and amazing work out classes. I am booking my classes since always over class pass to adjust to my work life and be more flexible. As I arrived today there was an error with the class pass booking system but there was a slot free. I was very keen to work out but the only solution they offered was to pay for a single class via 1Rebel directly which was almost 2x as expansive as if it was via classpass. I would have welcomed a more cooperative approach in terms of given the opportunity to book for another day via class pass and be recognised for training now or try to solve it afterwards with classpass. However the response was they are not responsibly for classpass and the only solution is to pay is the more expansive gym price. If you provide your service via third party you are responsible for the customer experience you offering. First time I felt like in a money making run through gym without any nice customer experience.

Negative experience: Woke up early to get to a class at 08:30 but due to a delay on the northern line I arrived at 08:31 and wasn't allowed in to the class. Ridiculous. They should ask people to arrive earlier if they don't let them in on time?! Poor customer service as well as I was told I could only go to the next class (during working hours) as a 'favour' but could not get a refund or go to any other class. I used to be a fan of one rebel but this is very off-putting to me, it's a workout class in London where travel delays are common, it should take itself a bit less seriously.

Fantastic experience: Came to this studio for the first time today and had the best time from start to finish. The interior design is amazing and has a great vibe. Front of house staff Emily and Jack made me feel at home and couldn't have helped me anymore. Shout out to Alex for an awesome first class. Can't wait to come back!

Positive experience: Really like the atmosphere, cleanliness, and format. The prices are quite high so I usually buy passes/packs when there’s a deal going on. Jess is the best trainer/coach I’ve experienced here. There’s several coaches named Jess but she’s listed as just “Jess”. Her energy is unmatched. She’s so present, giving individual feedback, and pushes you in the best way. I walked out dripping, shaking, and so proud of myself. Her playlist was also 10/10. Definitely going back to her classes! The showers and changing room are clean. There are towels and water bottles available.

Fantastic experience: Just love it! It’s so exhausting and the vibe is amazing! Got in shape so quickly thanks to the 1 rebel workouts. Just make sure you are there in time they won’t let you in otherwise due to security settings which is fair

Positive experience: A 45-minute class with a mix of high intensity treadmill and floorwork. I always finish a class thinking I've had a good workout. Classes are £10 to £15 each depending on how many you buy. The angel branch is a bit smaller than the other branches, and it doesn't have spin or boxing.

Positive experience: I have been to 1rebel in angel. That is the best gym they have Best instructor is Scott. Good vibes, good energy. He pushes you to the limit. So worthy

Positive experience: Great when you're there but arrived one minute late and they wouldn’t let me in - ridiculous

Fantastic experience: This place is a total vibe. I love how the workouts are synced to the music. Really intense, focused and fun 45 minute sessions. Super encouraging trainers. Closest thing you'll find to a nightclub in these times. Prices are way too expensive - unless you get Classpass which makes them better value. Getting a shake afterwards is my best treat to round out the experience.

Fantastic experience: Great spot in London to be fitness. However in front there a the most old pub from UK which has at least 600 years (Old Red Pub). I recommend everyone being in London must know it.

Fantastic experience: A great workout with very motivating trainers! ‍♀️ Unlike other 1REBEL locations this one does not have spinning or boxing but the HIIT classes are terrific, alternating between time on the treadmill and shapers (weight benches). They have also done a great job with COVID protocol from shields and hand sanitizer at the entrances to half capacity classes with athletes staggered 2M+ in the room. If you’re on the fence, pop by and as long is there is not a class in session they can give you a tour of the space!

Fantastic experience: Carnage workouts

Negative experience: Poor comms and coordination for new joiners, I would not recommend. I should have stuck with Barry’s bootcamp.

Fantastic experience: Excellent workout, as long as you push yourself. Every class is roughly similar with treadmill to floor continuous HIIT for 45 mins. Locker rooms are plush with soaps, lotions, and even a fridge of aromatic chilled face towels (highly recommend post workout). Entrance has high ceilings which makes this location feel bigger than it is.

Positive experience: Best Reshape studio of all the locations, instructors are consistently excellent. Only wish the locker room was larger!

Fantastic experience: If you're up for a challenge and sweat this your place. Best classes in London plus it makes you wonder how fit you actually are. Big shout out to their protein shakes/smoothies, post work out it's delicious!!!

Fantastic experience: Really great class. Tough but enjoyable - I would say I've visibally been able to notice reshape effects after not too long too! Motivational and encouraging environment from the trainers and the staff, no-one is called out if they struggle which I hear is the case at similar circuit type gyms. Free shower towels, water bottles and a load of products to use in the changing rooms are nice little perks too.
