Fantastic experience: I use the gym on a regular basis and can confirm the equipment is first rate the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the changing room is kept very clean . The sauna is small but then I am usually in it by myself so it is not an issue.. I would recommend it to you if you are thinking of joining a gym.

Fantastic experience: I find the staff friendly and accommodating. I never battle to get a lane for swimming and change rooms are always clean.

Negative experience: The worst showers I have ever encountered. The are all like a crack on the wall. Water was squeezed out from the cracks. Hardest ones to use.

Negative experience: If you buy a day pass to the gym here you had better not come straight from work, as the day pass will not give you access to the changing room. There’s no where to get changed before or after using the gym.

Negative experience: Former sales manager. Got treated so badly after all the work. Matt Evan’s was always rude about customers behind there back and just cared about the money. Would not recommend to buy a membership there as they are very disrespectful to members.

Negative experience: Sadly last month I became very sick after using their pools and swallowed some water. I caught a serious stomach bacteria/worms. When I rang to question this they told me someone had checked their water in the pool and when questioned how they did this, what the process was they couldn’t answer and started to stutter. I received no follow up call, no answers, the pool itself and changing facilities are dirty. I’ve watched the cleaners stand around doing nothing. I left after this and won’t be returning. Aswell as this I’ve had numerous issues problems with reception staff not knowing basic things like checking me in for my swim when this is what they should be trained at doing, and this wasn’t a new receptionist either. Avoid!!!!

Negative experience: I have been coming here for many years with my family and the facilities are good. However, there are a few concerns and things not up to standard. It is great that the facilities have a sauna, however, this is not hot enough and small, therefore people need to stay in for a long time to make good use of it, it would help if the temperature was turned up so people would need to spend less time inside and therefore more people could use it. Secondly, most of the popular classes get booked up a long time in advance and plenty of new people have joined the club over the last 6 weeks, it would be good if more classes were now put on to accommodate all the new members. Finally, the gym is now overcrowded especially during peak times and it is often hard to use any equipment and it is quite frustrating to see the club pushing for new people to join as the club is already getting overcrowded. It would be promising to see the club address these points as I know many members share my concerns.

Negative experience: They don't seem to want Gympass members to use the facilities, despite Everyone Active in theory being available on the basic plan.

Positive experience: Decent local pool complex

Negative experience: I have a swimming membership and I book through their website because their app won't let me log in. This means I check in every time I go swimming and it is the third time they don't check me in, so when I go online to book my next session, it won't let me do it because I have a "no-show penalty". It is quite frustrating to have to go to reception to correct their mistake. I have no problems spelling my name if they don't know how to write it (even though they misspelt it during my registration). Please, fix your app so I don't have to deal with this situation. Thanks.

Negative experience: I give one star as won't let me give none don't go they overcharge and then kick you out of the pool after ten minutes worst leisure centre I've been too rude staff

Positive experience: Love the leisure centre. I just wish the car park spaces were a bit bigger! Our Audi A3 is not particularly big, but regularly struggle to get in / out of the car as the spaces aren't huge and a large number of customers have huge SUVs. An Audi Q7 parked next to us a few days ago, had to get in via the passenger door as there was no room.

Fantastic experience: Popped in here to use the shower after staying in the van for the night and needing a freshen up before attending a funeral the next day. The staff where really nice. I paid around £5 for a 'swim' and just used the showers instead. They have 3 lockable cubicles available. They were quite small with only the one hook to put everything on but they're designed to rinse people off, not for me and all my kit so can't complain. Hot water distributed well when you pushed one of those buttons. I stupidly dropped my purse on the way out of here with over £50 in it and when I rang to inquire, the nice dude on reception had picked it up and it was returned to me with everything in it. Helpfull staff and a great location for us with ample parking space for our LWB Van.

Negative experience: Nice facilities but lane control could be better enforced. Was really excited to swim and found it very hard because of overtaking. 5 people in one lane marked medium all being dominated by a Michael Phelps wannabe. Hopefully just a one off, but really spoiled what could have been a great experience.

Negative experience: The staff is inappropriate, specially the managers. Rude, cocky and undermining people, they treat others with disrespect as if they were superior. It's a shame because some members of staff are great, I just don't know how they deal with incompetent managers. Would not recommend this place

Negative experience: What a shambles. Bunch of kids running the place. Left the lane swimming in taking up half the pool for the kids splash, can’t get the times right, it’s too busy. Sort it out!! Compare this to places leisure in Eastleigh, it’s a different setup entirely.

Fantastic experience: Brilliantly equipped gym - it was refurbished in November 2023 and now has a lot more equipment which is all very modern. It also has some theraguns in the stretching section which are a nice touch. There's also a 25 metre pool which has different types of session (lessons/aquafit/family etc).

Positive experience: Fantastic classes and teachers, well equipped gym. Pool is lovely but lane swimming is disrupted when they have children's private swimming lessons going on around adults lane swimming. Drives me insane! Its lane swimming or teaching not both!

Negative experience: Gym ok but the music is awful and the cycle sessions wayyy too loud. So loud in fact, I cancelled my membership. I got tinnitus from trying to hear my headphones over the racket.

Positive experience: Facilities are OK. The swimming pool is always too busy so I never get a chance to use it. Group cycling classes can be annoying as they are held in the gym and turn the place into a disco club with unnecessarily loud music and shouting. The entry system doesn't make much sense as you have to queue at the reception desk with everybody else every time even if you hold a membership card... which in theory should just give you access so long as you've paid your monthly fee... but that's not the case. Apart from that it's not too bad.

Fantastic experience: Despite it being the summer holiday it was not busy. There were 3 different speed lanes available.

Fantastic experience: I took Ill with a diabetic hypo coming out of the pool 3 weeks ago. I cannot fault the assistance i received. Very caring and professional. I myself was very embarrassed but I live to tell the tale. I think it was carter who helped but if I have the wrong name I am sorry but well done!!❤️

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym recently and just love it. The staff are all very warm and friendly and the facilities always very clean. They have a ton of great, updated equipment upstairs in the gym including cross fit toys and cycling. Lots of good class selection and a great pool with good open lane hours.

Negative experience: Very upset, i phoned to attempt to book a class when i havent been before, only to have the phone put down on me. The woman was very rude over the phone too.

Positive experience: Good facilities, well located though a little small compared to demand. Shortage of parking space and reception always seems a bit dithering. Good bike parking (visible from the pool) though blocks the pavement a little.

Positive experience: Good centre with helpful, friendly staff. Only let down by their really poor app.

Fantastic experience: I'm not a fit freak so usually feel a bit awkward in sports centres but Godalming Leisure centre is different. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings.

Positive experience: The Receptionists are very helpful and polite, The management need to take a leaf out of their book! The layout is totally wrong! Who wants to walk into a café seating area with kids running around and a clothing rail smack bang in the middle of the walk way, before getting to the reception desk! The new addition to the gym is bloody awful, as it's now taken the space to stretch and do your core work, and end up walking over everyone! Only one hand sanitiser hidden behind a weight rack, should have more really, none in the changing rooms either, and water fountains, why aren't they in the changing rooms Should be more in the gym too! You had a new build and didn't capitalise on the the swimming pool area, you just put an extra junior pool in! For god sake we are in the 21st century! Get a water slide, diving area, jacuzzi, so boring! Where's the initiative Spin classes are good if you get the right instructors, as some don't understand that music is motivation and think listening to them rather than having the music turned up is better! The changing rooms don't have any wash basins and not enough shower cubicals, a sauna as small as my airing cupboard, getting intimate is an understatement!!! Toilets are pretty much none existent for the amount of members you have! Especially when you cater for children a lot of the time! Not enough lockers as staff use them as storage! When theoretically they should have they're own staff and locker room!!!!! Why the squash courts were demolished I don't know, as nothing has been replaced instead of them, loss of revenue! And then you get a tennis area totally refurbished! Parking is a joke, because the majority use it for commuting as the station is close by! Certainly not enough spaces. Despite not being too many disabled members, people think they can still park in the bays, to be fair the receptionists do try and monitor it! Who ever designed this building needs to go back to architecture college and learn how to design a proper leisure centre! And for the council not to except the cheapest quote! Apart from that it's alright!!!

Positive experience: Sometimes could do with a good clean as sometimes smells, and very annoying that they now let all the children in the pool in holiday times when it's always been for the over 50's - apparently they don't make enough money from us!

Negative experience: Most of the staff seem to be students which is fine but along with that they're not very good at hiding the fact they don't want to be there. Sure they want to chat with colleagues but when it comes to being professional and customer service attentive this is just way below par. The venue itself is great but they don't have enough time when it is just free swim. They pretty much just swim lengths which is great for fitness but I'm sure some of us would just like to relax after a long day and not be forced to swim lengths. Gym facility is nice, not great but nice. Not trying to have a dig at the place I enjoy the venue and it does what it says on the tin but more work needs to be done on their customer service attitude and general friendliness.

Positive experience: Nice facilities. Pool can be busy at times but time it well and you can have it to yourself. Nice range of machines in the fitness centre and you can usually work out without waiting for equipment. Decent range of instructor lead fitness sessions. Better value than some gyms with swimming pools.

Negative experience: Unfriendly atmosphere, cramped layout, inattentive staff. Very disappointed they couldn't have built a better leisure centre to replace the old. Would not recommend.
