Positive experience: Very rush always. Maintenance for broken equipments will take months
Hi Nikhil, thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are equally as disappointed when, from time to time, things go wrong and equipment has to be placed out of order. Regular maintenance checks are undertaken, and any issues identified are escalated to engineers straight away. Sometimes, there may be a small wait whilst engineers attend to fix any issues, but we endeavour to resolve these as soon as possible. If you have any concerns about specific pieces of equipment in your gym, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Thanks, PureGym

Negative experience: Rude and aggressive gym members harassing others. The staff ignore and fail to do anything when addressed. AVOID !!!

Fantastic experience: I am extremely grateful to Frances Gordon for her support through all the classes me and my husband attends, she really motivates us and pushes us to our limits. I always love to come to her classes and whenever I’m available to go to the gym, I straight away book her classes. Really recommend her to anyone who needs support.

Positive experience: Full of people on the phone no private!

Unfortunately, we are unable to monitor the usage of phones in our gyms 24/7, however if people are sitting on equipment we would strongly advise approaching a member of staff on the floor who will be able to help further. Negative experience: In the three days I have joined I have not seen ANY staff, no management, the gym is a mess. Impossible to do a full workout or use machines even at 5:30am or 8am. Weekends, don’t even bother. I have not used their classes, joined 2 days and now I have cancelled my membership. They do have the better classes out of the 2 Puregym sites in Coventry Centre. As a former PT/Dietitian. I cannot recommend unless you are joining for the cardio equipment. Some nice members though.

Some of our gyms will run on un-manned hours on certain days/times and we ask that members familiarise themselves with these hours. If you have concerns inside the gym whilst there, then we would advise speaking to the Gym Manager when they are back in or email them. Positive experience: Would be nice if more back and triceps machines could be placed in. Locked are mostly broken. You would've expected car park at the back to be free or at the very least, cheaper for pure gym members however it is expensive. I was told it's £1 after a certain time but I pay through the app and haven't had that yet

Fantastic experience: Honestly can’t tell if the bad reviews are going to the same gym. All of the staff are incredibly nice, respectful and helpful. It’s usually empty and everything is always clean. One of the best pure gyms I’ve been to.

Negative experience: Changing rooms are absolutely filthy. Lot's of lockers don't lock properly or are broken. The showers barely have warm water and are covered in black mould / slime. More and more of the gym is getting closed off and there hasn't been any new equipment added pretty much since this gym opened.

Positive experience: Not a lot of Equipment at all. There’s not even a Plate loaded press, Just pin loaded. I guess it’s good for newbies but people who know their way round a gym Shouldn’t go here, There’s not enough Kit.

Negative experience: I'm not sure how much care or attention is being paid to their lockers. They break down,and people end up having to damage them just to get their things out. Photos attached only show some, they're not all as damaged, but about half aren't able to lock at all or lock safely. I've been coming here for a few months, and it's definitely been like this for the last two or three. When speaking to them, I was told they needed a certain number before putting the order in for new doors. How many would that be? Why not buy the doors and hold the extras on site in case of future repairs? I'm not sure if they need Paying £21 to £30 a month, you'd at least expect the lockers to be working/ safe.

Negative experience: This gym is so expensive and non accessible for all budgets, also their updates by email does not make any sense as the gym was closed for two consecutive days I have received an update today saying “ the accessible facilities will still be closed. All other facilities will be back open. ” which does not make any sense is the gym opened or not.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym, can get busy during off-peak hours and isn't as large and not as strength-focused compared to the Skydome PureGym (which is okay for me as I'm focusing on both) but it's still excellent. Very good pricing if paying for an off-peak subscription and the biggest benefit by far is that the bus stops right at the gym making it super convenient.

Fantastic experience: Good gym. There's really plenty of equipment available here. There are lockers to keep your things safe. The gym is not too crowded and with the use of pure gym app you can know exactly how many people are there in the gym at that particular time so you can plan accordingly to hit the gym when it isn't too crowded.

Negative experience: The parking supposed to free. Apparently it is not as most of time the machines are not working properly and so far I ended up paying over £20 for parking in one month!
Hi, thanks for leaving us this review. As per the Gyms website: BY CAR If you come by car, you can park in the pay and display car park next door to the gym. Between 6pm and 8am the evening charge is £1, Sunday charge between 8am-6pm is £1 and Blue Badge Holders can park for free. Alternatively, there is an local NCP car park that is less than a 5 minute walk to the gym. The address is Belgrade Plaza, Coventry. The post code for your sat nav is CV1 4BF. Thanks PureGym

Positive experience: 1. Many a times few equipment’s are not working. 2. Before enrolling I wanted to visit the facility but most of the time I used to get ‘unstaffed board’ 3. The customer service of overall Pure gym franchise is poor.

Positive experience: Brilliant place; I’ve been going there for 1.5 years; I was totally new to anything gym related and quite nervous. Over the year my physique has improved massively, it’s the best decision I’ve ever made to join and I wish I did it sooner. I kept putting it off for years. Like at any gym it’s going to get busy at certain times and the app is good at giving you an indicator into how busy it is during certain times. The culture in the gym is spot on; I’ve never had any bother from anyone. 4 stars as it could do with a hip thrust machine!

Fantastic experience: I want to register and want to pay in cash
Hi Nguyễn, thank you for the review. PureGym are based online so memberships do need to be paid for through a card on the website, there are kiosks available down into the gym foyer if you want to head to the gym before joining! You are more than welcome to have a look around the gym before joining! The best time to visit is Monday - Friday between 9am-5pm, simply press for assistance at the doors in the foyer and a member of staff will be out to assist you as soon as they can. Fantastic experience: Recently Injured myself in this gym (through fault of my own) and the ambulance had to be called. The staff were so kind and attentive while I waited (it was quite a long while) doing everything they could to make me feel comfortable. Honestly don’t know what I would have done without them that day. Thanks again, I can’t recommend enough. When I’m well enough I’ll definitely pop in to thank them in person

Negative experience: Dirty mess, in the gym, young people in the gym not informed how to exercise, lack of knowledge about the gym, they slam the equipment, throw weights, behave loudly, no culture, no discipline!

Positive experience: Its okay, not that great. They don't have mirrors everywhere and it is very crowded. You have to wait to use equipment. There is also no steam bath.

Positive experience: Too many cardio and not enough machines/free weights to go around. Most hours the weight lifting area is packed and it’s annoying to see all the space available in the facility that isn’t being utilised. I’ve never seen anywhere near half of the cardio equipment being used at any given time whilst there’s so many people waiting for weights.

Negative experience: Was not happy at all there no member of staff during the weekend. I had very bad muscle cramps my hole body was in pain. My girlfriend was in crying and upset seeing me in pain not single member of staff around. No first aiders around in the gym. Lucky there was other people there to see if I was okay and stayed with me until I was able to move for myself.

Positive experience: Great gym, with great equipment. However, there is only one place to Deadlift, which can ruin your workout when you are waiting for others to finish

Negative experience: 1. When a repairable device breaks, don't leave it like that for months 2. Bring appliances 3. When it's cold, let the heat go 4. The bathroom in the boys' locker room has been broken for some time (we stand in line) 5. The music is horrible (play gym music, for motivation) 6. We pay to have conditions.

Positive experience: Had a blast getting back into the gym. Been going to this gym specifically in Coventry since 2017. It is easily accessible as it is quite close to university. It's also on a popular road in Coventry or next to a popular area The Burges which boasts of restaurants and fast food joints such as KFC, Mcdonalds, German Dorner Kebab, Oodles Noodles etc. The layout is also quite simple although it is in relatively small space in size. Downstairs boasts of the free weights area and the Smith's machines while the upstairs has a studio, cycling and treadmills so more cardio focused. Only downside is the busyness depending on the time of arrival or training you choose and compared to Skydome its quite smaller however it also doesn't cost much more to be able to access both gyms.

Positive experience: I do like this gym . But they don't play the music loud enough. I like to have it quite loud if I'm working out so it's not boring . But here I have had to ask them a couple of times to turn the music up as you can barely hear it . Sort it out pure gym

Negative experience: Poorly maintained, a whole section of the gym has been closed off now for over a year due to a leaky roof with a building site like wall put up, still not fixed or reopened which means a lot of the machines are now crammed together tightly. Can smell awful at times and the toilets can be horrible. Can become unvisatable at times during peaks hours due to small space. Only perk is 24hrs if that’s your thing

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to puregym and I really liked it a lot .... all cleaned, well organized, nice staff, easy to know where and how , Small one but enough if you train (smart). some reviews here are not far and don't reflect the great image of this gym , I would definitely recommend everyone to go there and give it a shot

Fantastic experience: The best gym in Coventry - once I used it as a “ Free day pass “ from my friend . Straight away came back home and decided to do full year of membership. This gym makes me come back even if I’m tired .. and do more as I can because of how spacious it is .

Fantastic experience: If you wanna be fit then hit it. A gym is a gym and this one is a really well maintained Gym. All the supply of energy needed is provided I.e, good workout music and the vitamin water. Reasonable price, visit early in the morning for a very free workout environment as it gets busy in the evening.

Positive experience: Great ratio of equipment to people during my morning visits. Clean work out area. Great location for me, I do have to agree with some of the other reviews there is a bit of an odour when you enter ground floor.
