Fantastic experience: Enjoy my time there Craig is very good

Positive experience: I enjoyed my first visit here on the 05/06/24. I used the upstairs gym first, which had quite a bit of cardio machines in and then I fished off in the downstairs gym. This had more weigh machines in. It does seem that it needs a bit of a update. I usually use the New Mills centre, which seems more modern . However the Glossop gym trumps New Mills for the amount of machines easily. I struggle to get on some at New Mills, where at Glossop, it'd have to be real busy to not get on. I'd definitely use again.

Positive experience: Small leisure centre but covers all the basics, reasonably priced as a non-member and a good range of classes and activities available. Facilities are a bit dated but more than adequate. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is a pain, car park nowhere near big enough.

Fantastic experience: Good gym area, friendly staff, plenty of equipment and very competitive pricing for what they offer. I've never seen it really crowded which is a definite bonus. Membership will give you access to their Gym + Swimming Pool + Squash Courts, Table Tennis, and all the classes.

Positive experience: Fabulous Victorian swimming pool. Good condition, nice facilities.

Fantastic experience: Apart from no rowing machines or upright cycles the cardio equipment is well spaced, as are the other pieces of equipment. Booking beforehand is ideal as it ensures that the reduced capacity is adhered to. Good to see that everybody was cleaning the equipment religiously after use

Negative experience: Squash courts could do with well needed renovations. Before even thinking of replacing the floors, some Polly Filla and a lick of paint here and there would go a long way. The corridoor downstairs stinks of sewage and has been this way for going on 6 months that I can remember. Maybe get a plumber, or at the very least plug in an air freshener?

Fantastic experience: Really well equipped gym. Staff always friendly and ready to help.

Positive experience: We take our daughter here for weekly gymnastics. She loves it, and as such we love it too. Quite a small leisure centre, but it's just the right size for Glossop. Shame there's no swimming pool.

Negative experience: The gym is very small could do with more free weights.. also the amount of activities for children is very poor, especially in the holidays. It was much better when I was younger. Seems the leisure centre is lacking in its potential the council need to put some funds into it I think.

Positive experience: We have had annual membership for several years, and before that have attended classes there since the 1980s! Good staff, recently Ant (now left) and Sarah exceptional. Only issues are small size and failure to "police" time wasters who hog equipment for a couple of hours instead of training effectively and efficiently. Recent gym refit, very good kit including a Watt bike!

Positive experience: Small... Very small! And expensive for what you get!

Fantastic experience: It’s a great little gym with a variety of classes. The gym itself is set out in a way that you feel comfortable working out and not on display. There are squash courts and badminton courts which considering it’s a small gym is great. You can use the local swimming baths but don’t have the crammed changing rooms that you usually get with duel gym/swimming pools. It suits me - no frills but everything you need and clean!

Negative experience: Worst gym I have ever been to and to over priced for such a small stupid gym.

Fantastic experience: I do boxersize here. Every class is different and challenging. It offers a good full body workout for all levels and age groups.

Positive experience: I am a regular visitor to the gym. It fits the bill for me but it may not be everyone else cup of tea. Recently, and in my opinion, the facilities have taken a turn for the worse. The management appear to have an approach where they are skimping on providing the basic necessities and even the repair of gym equipment dies not take priority. However, the staff are second to none. A great bunch of excellent folk.

Positive experience: 1. Only one Table tennis table, could be two so more people from the community can play, because there is lots of Spare room 2. Gym is okay, got most of the equipment you need for a 'standard Gym' 3. Staff are Very nice and most of the time Helpful, however can be slow requesting membership​ cards in my opinion. 4. Over all it's a 3 Stars, and i would rate this Leisure centre a 'Good', which after some time, has slowly progressed to be better.

Positive experience: Lots to do had a great time on the trampolines

Negative experience: Over priced for the facility really. Never any lockers available in the changing rooms so have to lug all your gear around with you while you train or try and cram it all in 2-3 different small lockers upstairs then Carry 2-3 keys around - Not ideal if you want to train before work ect. Staff are great but facilities are poor, in dire need of refurbishment asap.

Negative experience: The gym and the staff are great all the staff are friendly. I only moved to Glossop recently I find the staff and other members very friendly. The gym is only small in comparison to what I am use to but I find it very personal and I like the personal touch. Great place great staff

Negative experience: Poor facilities, well overpriced compared to better gyms in the area. Indifferent staff.
