Positive experience: I like this place. It is great for classes and squash but gym should be much more bigger as is very small.

Fantastic experience: The gym is on the smaller side compared to many other mainstream gyms, which means you may not find all of the machines you'd like to use here. Classes are very good. Gym generally busy at usual peak times but relatively quiet otherwise. Although it is a mixed gender gym, I don't find this to be an issue, unless it is really busy. Would benefit from free lockers beings as the membership is just as high as other well equipped gyms.

Positive experience: It’s a good gym , i love the classes : body combat its amazing! The pool its also a positive point. The only thing that i think should be better it’s the gym. It’s missing some equipment and doesn’t has enough mirrors, ( just have mirrors in the man’s area) lol

Positive experience: Staff are very pleasant and helpful, good parking and facilities.

Positive experience: I have a membership here because there is a sauna and steam room which is rarely packed, providing the peace and relaxation that I seek, with a decent timetable. I would also say that the staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is I think the centre does need some renovations which I think will be happening at some point.

Positive experience: Great pools. Clean and warm but you need to book a time slot in kids pool. Good changing room but quite small cubicles.

Fantastic experience: Been a member on and off for years, always find staff pleasant and helpful and the fitness instructors are the best you will find (having tried and tested other centres). Special mention to Alice who takes the indoor cycling class on a Wednesday evening. I am fairly new to Alice's classes having only done approx. 6 with her - she is just brilliant! Very motivating, always cheery, shares technique and explains exercises to her class - She has great taste in music too. Alice makes spin classes fun and you always feel brilliant afterwards. I didn't think there was an instructor that could match Helen (who is just as awesome)! Thank you Alice, keep doing what you do please :)

Fantastic experience: Swimming with the kids. No issues!

Negative experience: Couldn’t believe son been going here couple of years swimming and half way through his last lesson he was removed , I contacted previously to pay no answer also person computer was down it’s a disgrace

Positive experience: Good place for kids I visited recently on a swimming job , there seams to be a lot of confusion with Disabled and coach parking, this needs to be addressed with many coaches visiting the center.

Positive experience: Lovely gym, haven't explored much else. Staff seem nice. Has a good atmosphere. The gym is on the smaller side and no natural sunlight but good amount of equipment. There is a pool, sauna, courts and lots of different classes. The classes and sauna are on the more expensive pass or £7 each as far as I know. Lots of parking space however it a short walk from the car park.

Positive experience: Ideal place to workout. It has a gym with all the equipment you need, 25m swimming pool and a steam room and sauna. My only issue is that the swimming pool hasn't changed since the 90s probably which is in need of a fresh look. It has a unisex changing room which can worry people at first but after seeing it in action, everyone is respectful and they use individual changing rooms. As it goes, it is a prefect place to workout

Fantastic experience: Best facilities,clean and tidy.

Negative experience: It's a joke. The gym, Pool, and Toilets are always dirty, there is always a waiting queue in reception and the most annoying thing is that if you need to use a locker you have to have 20p in you which is then not returned. It's not the price, is more that these days I barely use cash so that's a huge struggle. Come on, all the shops are now using a token system! Not to mention that if you forgot to cancel your swim slot at least 4 hours in advance you get a penalty and you have to pay on top of your monthly membership. Imagine - that if you feel sick on Sunday morning and you've booked in for a swim at 8 your only thought shloud be to wake up at 4am and cancel it.

Fantastic experience: Great place for swimming but you still have to book for lane swim and you do get fined if you don't give enough time for cancellation.

Fantastic experience: I go to Haden Hill for the sports massage from Liam who is FANTASTIC! He knows his anatomy and can pin point precisely where the painful area is and how to treat it. I now go weekly and am able to bear weight ( compressed nerve ). He is £35 for 30 mins £55 for 60 mins

Positive experience: I come here most days to bring in many schools great leisure centre but the coach parking is frustrating as it states no cars 9am - 3pm and yet i have to always go in centre to put calls out due to cars blocking the coach bays or coaches when there is alot of car parking space available. The staff are always helpful

Negative experience: The leisure centre charges quite alot considering it closes very early at the weekend and is closed every single bank holiday. There is not much equipment in the gym either tbh now im thinking about it i might end my membership cos its a real rip off

Negative experience: The service level, staff friendliness and customer service has all dropped It seems the pandemic has effected the quality from haden. You book sauna for 1.5 hrs but steam is switched off after 1hr. Is this not then false selling as your paying 90 mins as advertised. Glad it's going back to Sandwell Council and hopefully staff will be changed as these lot are not nice at all. From 5 stars 2 yrs ago to this. Well deserved.

Fantastic experience: I haven't been here since I learnt to swim a good number of years ago! Little has changed and took me down memory lane. The staff are all excellent and helpful. It's clean and well looked after. Would highly recommend for a swimming session or should you require lessons for the little ones.

Negative experience: Place is run down, toilets are dirty, it’s like a greenhouse upstairs and the staff are never welcoming. Also, badminton courts are never set up and we are told to use any other one….that’s fine until someone else has booked that court. Not sure what’s so difficult as they obviously know who’s coming as you have to pre book

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend the swimming lessons. My child has been attending Haden hill for 4 years. Yes, your child will learn to swim but they do not monitor the progress properly. The only time they assess my child is when i question why it’s taking so long to test him on certain aspects. I’m fed rubbish like it’s because of Covid, but in actual facts it’s because the staff are always off. Friends which are at Other leisure centres are being properly assessed. My child loves swimming so I have made the decision to move his lessons to a different leisure centre further afield.

Fantastic experience: The staff are great friendly and helpful, but the centre could do with upgrading, the changing rooms for the pool are cramped and and there is not enough lockers or showers, the cleanliness is ok, but could be better

Positive experience: Started going to the gym again post lockdown. I used to go to Tipton Leisure centre as used to live in Tipton, but moved now and Haden Hill is my closest. I have to say it’s ok but very small and don’t have all the machines the Tipton one has. Was a bit disappointed to be honest. Although I do still use it but more often than not I drive to the one in Tipton. Also a lot of the time I find people are just sat on the machines, not using them, either talking or on their phones. This should not be allowed. Staff are all nice and friendly and it’s always nice and clean.

Positive experience: Great swim place and classes. Also you can play squash table tennis and indoor bowls by arrangement There also pilates and fitness classes run on different days along with a spin class (On bikes)

Fantastic experience: Always enjoyed classes at Haden Hill. Good sized rooms with air conditioning. Thursday morning aerobics particularly good. Excellent swimming pool. Staff helpful and friendly. Best in the area.

Positive experience: Meh. Pretty standard pool, family swims available in a kid size pool next door to the main pool although I think you have to book separately due to social distancing rules, as we found out when we switched and got whistled out ‍♀️ Please shower before getting the the pool, a rule I agree with Would rather swim at another pool if with children as it is for swimming as apose to playing, there are no slides or fountains etc and swimming is still on a time slot but you are allowed to book in the building if their website is not working. The process of booking a swim slot online is quite lengthy and confusing with every member going needing a log in and email and having to be booked separately. The lifeguards were super friendly though and let my 4yr old godson have some floats to help teach him how to swim. Everything was also well maintained and clean. Lockers are available if you have a 20 pence piece.

Negative experience: Trying to book swimming session, on the phone for 27 minutes amd counting. started 4th in que now 2nd in que Boasts 9 swimming pool, 10 gyms , football pitch , 100 therapy sessions etc why not invest in a receptionist so people can actually book. Such a poor customer service experience. What has happened to haden hill

Negative experience: Been on the phone for 10 minutes to make an enquiry, but no one answered, even though I was number 1 in the queue. I wouldn't bother calling them if you want "service", woeful experience SLT.

Fantastic experience: Returned to the gym after maybe 5 years since the last time I set foot in one. Was dreading it, not really being a fan of that environment beforehand and not knowing what to expect post COVID. Staff were friendly and organised re. entry into centre, hygiene and masks. Booked me in for my membership and pointed me in the direction of the gym. This is where I was greeted by Richie (the PT on duty). So helpful and friendly. Showed me around, made sure I was comfortable with machines and equipment, some really useful pointers to get started and haven’t looked back. Gym is great. Centre is always clean with plenty of staff on hand.

Positive experience: just went on the off chance of a swim was told I had to pre book on line but checked at the desk and they said there was a space so let me go in. its very dated now and could either do with a massive refurb or being re built so its more for purpose. Overall the staff were very friendly

Negative experience: Good for families and kids - range of activities and time slots (though still overpriced in my opinion). But, If you are even somewhat a serious gym goer and you're looking to join to lift weights then do not come here! 2 puny weights rooms with about enough to do 2 or 3 workouts on each muscle group. Plus they have this awful pay scheme where you pay for a card, and then you have to add on a plan, whether that be a daily pass or a monthly partial membership lol. The prices are an absolute joke! Especially for what you get. 2 gyms within half a mile radius that are very good include: central house fitness and classic physiques. Do not waste your money and time here

Positive experience: Played table tennis with three tables out and in use you still have room to play but not the total freedom you may require. Best played when only one or two tables in use. Can certainly get warm playing was good value for an hour. Not used any other facilities

Fantastic experience: Heather is an amazing swimming teacher. Both my children have adapted their swimming skills in and out of the pool and are very confident in the water.

Positive experience: It's a leisure centre, and the only local one with a swimming pool. Pool is ok. The changing rooms always smell funny, and are mixed. The lockers are non returnable 20p. The showers aren't great, they could do with a proper deep clean. The reception staff are polite and friendly. Some of the gym staff could do with customer service training. Also using the small gym space for some of the classes is not helpful to those members that just want to get on and use the gym equipment. Parking is ok, but could do with more lighting.

Positive experience: The leisure centre does have all the amenities required however is in desperate need of remodernisation particularly the swimming pool. The staff have always been fantastic and are helpful.

Negative experience: Before reading this check out my other reviews I dont give 1 star reviews unless they are more than deserved in this case I would like to give -5 if that was possible. Unbelievably useless managers the centre staff continually break the centre rules resulting in many complaints from the PAYING public happened for over 6 months about the same issues and same staff nothing ever done in fact make a complaint you are then targeted at every opportunity by the staff you complained about not just me but many other customers saying the same thing. Typical case of the tail wagging the dog find somwhere else to swim.

Positive experience: Swimming pool club for young people is available. Staff are very kindly and take care properly to our little one. I recommend Also gym class is available , and lots of other activities.
