Positive experience: Not the cleanest and always lots of things out of order. Public swimming in the evening massively limited too because of so many lessons. Decent facility that would benefit from a bit more care on small details

Negative experience: came here a couple times great place, great gym, amazing swimming and a decent sauna only problem was the staff. One of the times I came here I’m guessing the person was having a bad day but I went to go sign into the centre at the desk and I instantly I was met with rudeness followed by swearing eventually all I was trying to do was give the worker my details and address because I have a different accent it could’ve made me hard to hear so they could’ve thought that I was being rude and that’s why they reacted in a way but still no excuse. Great place, just not amazing staff.

Negative experience: Mary Walker At age 76 with a very dodgy hip I've been using the pool 4 times a week all this year until now. It's just too cold, not only the building but the water itself. This past week I've not warmed up in the water at all & walking from the pool to the cubicles It's freezing. My old bones just can't take it. I loved it too. It was my only exercise & lifted me mentally.

Fantastic experience: It's changed since I was last there. Really helpful and friendly staff. I go to a mini gym for to help with my hips and my trainer is great. He knows his stuff. There is a big gym as well, cafe and swimming pool too. The cafe serves healthy food but also food for people who want normal things like pizza or a bacon roll. Homemade soup too. Prices are good too.

Fantastic experience: Great staff both at the desk and trainers. Lawrence from the Back Care class has been particularly kind and helpful. Facilities are impressive.

Negative experience: The middle aged women at reception with blonde hair is an ignorant person, who thinks she's better than the customers and on a high horse. Rudest woman ever, who should not be in customer services if that's her attitude. Treats customers like they dirt.

Positive experience: Took long but we got on the swimming classes for our boys. They are surely enjoying it.

Negative experience: Would not recommend if you want to have a decent swim. Overcrowded and no lane management. It is a 6 lane pool, yet they only put in 1 slow lane and a 1.5 lane for everyone else.... It makes no sense why during busy periods (6 - 8am) they do not lane the whole pool and put clear signs for the swimmers (2 slow lanes, 2 med lanes and 2 fast lanes for example). You would fit 3 times the amount of people in comfortably by doing this! Instead so many different swimming speeds go into the 1.5 lane making it impossible to swim. They say you can "overtake" but it's dangerous as you either get kicked by someone doing breaststroke or you bump into someone overtaking in the opposite direction. You cannot mix in all these different swim speeds. They "trialed" 3 lanes but it was only a handful of times and for short periods of time with no communication to customers about it. They stated swimmers in the main pool "complained"..... but they never asked for feedback from the other swimmers enjoying the new lane setup. It was a case of who shouted the loudest won so we are back to the old setup... I spoke to the manager and he stated they would send a survey out to ask what the customers really wanted. This never happened. The pool/lane management is not fit for purpose. They are boosting memberships trying to encourage more to join but don't either think or care about the fact this means they may have to change the way they operate to accommodate these extra numbers.

Negative experience: First time here and it was pretty rough, it wasn't as clean as I had hoped, full of unruly teenagers with mouths as filthy as the changing room floors, sorry but won't be back ☹️

Positive experience: The facilities are quite good, with a lot on offer. Unfortunately the negatives are that the pool temperature never seemed to be constant, one time it was actually quite cold around 19-20 degrees I would reckon. Also the changing room floors are constantly wet and may pose a slip hazard, but I understand that it might be quite a mammoth task to keep them dry with the sheer number of people coming from the pool. The one huge issue I must report, which is not the centre's fault but which they could control better, is the improper use of the changing rooms, especially as it pertains to public nudity. There were several occasions where I was inadvertently exposed to naked men and pre-teens who were not changing in the closed cubicles but rather in the corridors in front of lockers. My husband too experienced the same and expressed his shock that children would be exposed in such a way. It may be worth checking on and curbing in order to provide everyone with a safe and comfortable experience.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic leasure centre the facilities are amazing the personnel are very friendly and helpful...... Quality can totally recommend this facility definitely worth a visit and the prices are very very competitive

Fantastic experience: The only health suite in a municipal sports centre I've come across with a Jacuzzi. The staff are great and I always find the patrons to be very friendly and sociable. I love my visits.

Negative experience: clean pool, great soft play + good coffee, but the water temperature in the small children's pool is terrible. the water is as cold as in an adult pool it's probably the coldest pool in Fife , other pools have really warm pools for children, this one is cold, so I recommend it more for adults.

Positive experience: The floors could be cleaned more frequently. It would be nice if there was no music sometimes. It's cheap to go to and the pools are fine.

Positive experience: Internet doesn’t work in gym and there us no wifi so I I can’t listen music during training

Negative experience: Really need to sort out the drainage in the changing rooms as they were stinking of fish. It has previously had the same smell but a lot of people complained today it was so bad. A parent also witnessed a pool attendant empty his bottle of water into the swimming pool & go fill it back up.

Positive experience: Great gym and health suite. However pool timetable constantly seems to change and there's hardly and time for adult public to swim

Fantastic experience: Gym and pool facilities are pretty decent for a council gym. Keep an eye on the pool timetable as there are a lot of clubs on. The gym can be a tad busy at certain times.

Positive experience: Great leisure pool, clean changing facilities, friendly staff. Great place to go for an adult swim. Unfortunately marked down due to the fact that children's pool is always unnecessarily cold. Kids / baby shivering and blue lipped within 10 mins despite wearing wetsuits. We use other pools in Fife for the wee ones, despite Carnegie being our closest pool.

Negative experience: I mainly go to use the Health Suite which is part of my membership. It is awful how often aspects of the health suite aren’t working and how long it takes the leisure centre to fix them. Currently the sauna and jacuzzi aren’t working.

Positive experience: One of Fifes better sports facilities. Frequently use the pool and changing rooms are always clean. Plenty of family friendly changing rooms and buggy lock ups are a rare and great addition. Only criticism is the main pool is a little chilly and when the baby pool is down for "contamination" it can be too cold for little ones

Negative experience: Gym is decent but way too hot especially in the recent heat

Negative experience: This review would be 5 stars. However, the upmost shocking attitude that Ryan displayed to paying customers was outrageous. I cannot believe something hasn't been done about this attitude before.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, clean changing rooms. The pool is still freezing, but the baby/little pool is not too bad.

Positive experience: Nice place locker rooms could use a clean in the swimming area. No one wants carols hair stuck on there toes or Jeff's mining plaster laying there.

Negative experience: Hate to say that, but not a great experience at all. Waited for almost 20 minutes with a 4 years old (to the soft play). 3 staff members there and only one attending. Just gave up and came back home. I worked in retail for ages and this kind of behaviour would be unacceptable. Absolutely disrespectful with customers.

Fantastic experience: Great place to swim and exercise! The staff is amazing, polite and helpful any time I had a question. Also, one of the few monthly payments that actually feel to be in benefit of the community as a whole. If you are looking for a place to exercise, swim or even chill this is it.

Positive experience: Very good facilities, clean and tidy even on Saturday. 3 pools, one for kids one for training one for swimmers (25m). Separate fast lane. There is also a sauna (quite spacious), steam room, jacuzzi. I think it would be good to have more than two showers near the sauna to cool down. People were using those two showers for actually taking a proper shower and the normal showers don't have cold water to use after sauna. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Changing room floors were filthy as were the shower areas, one set of showers was closed off as well. Pool had stuff on the bottom (the kids pool) which was also cold. The only open showers stopped working when we were leaving (we had our grandson with us) I don't know what's going on with this place but it's definitely gone downhill since the so called refurbishments. We went the day before to be told we had to wait 2 hours to get in as they were short staffed so came back the following day instead. Wish we hadn't and just went elsewhere. Our grandson will not be back to this pool and neither will we. So disappointed and surprised at the lack of cleanliness in there, the pool/facilities were fantastic but now it's disasteratic instead. This is our local pool and we have been frequent visitors over the years. My adult kids as well as myself and my sibling learned to swim here but we'll be using a different one from now on sadly.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to the gym for many years and on Monday I asked for help with technique and other exercises I could do to strengthen bone density. Barry was so, approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. He showed me different exercises and tweaked ones I was already doing. He was visible in the gym walking around checking everything. A great service!

Negative experience: Although staff are good. Really fed up with training pool not in use for Aqua fitness. How long does it take to get a part ??? It's been weeks and weeks.

Positive experience: I only visit to use the health suite. On my last visit the jacuzzi spa stopped working and I was informed by a frequent user that you need to inform a member of staff as it happens regularly. Edit in response to response from owner - I know it is on a timer. 7 mins on then 7 mins off I believe if memory serves. This is to allow a cleaning cycle, again, if memory serves. On this occasion the cleaning cycle ran for around 25minutes,maybe longer. Another spa user had to go inform a member of staff. Thanks.

Positive experience: Jacuzzi isn't working, showers only one side was working some lockers swallow your money before even locking it. Swimming pool seems to he extremely busy ends up doing traffic light system. Not very enjoyable the last few times I've been

Fantastic experience: Amazing local council leisure centre with services provided by Fife council. There is a main pool and a junior pool and a fantastic climbing wall room. Fantastic gym facilities with indoor multipurpose courts available for hire as well as squash courts. Amazing cafe and climbing frame play area for kids to be kept entertained while adults enjoy a coffee and a cake kids snacks available too. All housed in a beautiful old building.

Negative experience: I use the gym and health suite, the gym is good, but that's about all i can say that is positive. The health suite is in a terrible condition. The hot tub is not so much a hot tub, but more a lukewarm tub and the water jets don't seem to work very well - not worth using. The steam room had been broken for over a week, it is working again, but not very well. It's not hot enough and there's very little steam; a steam room without steam is just a room! It's not worth using as it is. One of the showers has been out of action since before the first lockdown. Today when I went in, I was told both showers were out of order, but I could use the showers outside the health suite - there's no cold shower there, a hot shower is really not what you need when you come out of a sauna! How can a shower be left out of order for 2 years, and will the other shower be similarly left in a state of disrepair? I've been a member for about 5 years, these issues never used to happen. Yes, things broke down, but got repaired promptly. I don't know what has happened, a change of management perhaps? It really is ridiculous, if I did my job so badly, I'd be out of a job! I hope this situation gets resolved quickly, because people are not getting what they pay for, or perhaps you could recommend a private gym in the area that also has a health suite?!

Positive experience: Great gym. Great staff. But annoyed that you pay for gym and swim membership. Which I enjoyed going swimming after work at carnegie. But they've basically now stopped you using the pool at certain times and let swimming lessons take over the pool. Yes fair enough there's other pools you can use under fife council. But not handy if you can't travel.

Negative experience: Went for swim with my partner yesterday. The lady at the front desk was rude, also then asked how long we can stay at the pool she said when is busy 40mimutes when not 60minutes. Cannot find any information about the time. My friend have membership and said it's unlimited....so how is it really? Noone knows....
