Negative experience: My wife and I were members of the gym here up to Feb 24 and the bar was well know then for poor service.( In fairness there was one member of counter staff that was ok). Today 22/12/24 we ordered coffee which took the most ridiculous amount of time to be prepared, so we cancelled and took a refund. I can add that the bar was not busy and I saw three staff. Along with this poor service came a very half hearted apology, so it appears that service here is going from bad to worse.

Negative experience: Food was a xmas meal £45 per head. Cold starter, main ok. Xmas pudding slimey, boiled a couple of spoonfuls of custard and a couple of cherries on top. So much alcohol in pudding it was revolting. Staff miserable and unattentive. Music in cold basement with no atmosphere

Negative experience: Do NOT book this hotel unless you enjoy terrible service and poor standards. We booked for a relaxing weekend spa break and left less than two hours after arriving. The receptionist looked like it was casual Friday and was less than polite at check in. The restaurant looked (and smelled) like a low end toby carvery and the bedroom was cold, paint was peeling off the wall, the bathroom was covered in limescale, the shower was terrible and there was no hot water, the toilet was constantly running and the WiFi didn’t work. When we asked for the issues to be sorted a member of staff eventually arrived, flushed the toilet and declared it fixed, which it wasn’t, and then ran the bath tap for 15mins before conceding that the water coming out was, at best, tepid. She said she’d speak to reception about moving us to a different room but when we hadn’t heard anything for over half an hour and it was getting late by this point we decided that we’d had enough and, to be honest, our weekend was already ruined so we cut our losses and went home where there is hot water and the toilet works. We didn’t get as far as the bar or the spa so I can’t comment on them but given the state of the rest of the place I wouldn’t hold out high hopes. A truly miserable experience that I would not recommend. Safe to say we shall never be returning.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely short break here in November. Great value, very good quality, staff and service great, they catered so well for my Coeliac diet - loads of choice. Spa facilities really good too. We will return.

Negative experience: Booked here for a relaxing couple of nights spa experience. Room was a bit grotty but whatever, we really just wanted a restful time so could put up with it. Problems started at 6.15am when loud dance music started blasting and woke both my partner and myself up. Having been rudely awakened I went into the corridor to investigate. Following the music I found myself in the gym and leisure area. There was someone on reception and I told her that the music had woken me up, she said "that'll be the gym" and I expressed my disbelief that any hotel would let part of their business make so much noise when guests would expect to be sleeping. As she didn't seem willing or able to help I went to the main reception of the hotel and called the number for the OOH Manager. Eventually I got hold of a man who was very apologetic and took me down to the gym and turned off the music. The OOH Manager told me someone would be in touch and I went back to my room, although sadly 45 mins of wandering around the hotel looking for a solution meant I couldn't get back to sleep (and 45 mins of hard dance music had the same effect on my partner). No-one did get in touch so a few hours later I went to reception, explained the problem again, and we were moved to another room at about 11am. I mentioned how unhappy I was to the person at reception and she said a manager would get in touch. No-one reached out to us. The next day (thankfully better rested) I went back to reception and said that no one had been in touch, she said her manager was getting in at 9.30 and I left my number for him and asked if he could give me a call. I didn't hear anything from him so went back a bit after 10am and she said he was busy but that she'd try to get him to get in touch. Eventually she rang the room and said he (the manager) would meet me in the lobby at 11.15. At 11.25 a lady (who was not the hotel manager) introduced herself and said that he was too busy to see me and that she'd been sent instead. Unfortunately she wasn't particularly cut out for customer service and told me that she wouldn't mind being woken up at 6am and that there was nothing she could offer me. She said that she was 'a' manager but for the leisure area rather than the hotel, and that she was not 'the' manager. The hotel manager was unwilling to meet or speak to me. On the whole a drab and dingy hotel, with a manager who treats customers very poorly.

Positive experience: A little tired in its decor and feel. Staff did the absolute bare minimum. Be mindful if you're expecting a spa break, they charge you extra for the thermal facilities and that isn't detailed

Negative experience: When walking in, it felt dated, and when going further through the hotel and then to the spa area, it confirmed it. It feels like a corporate place from some time ago. A place Alan Partridge would like! The spa was £25 for 2 hours and was not good. There is a steam room and then another less warm steam room that didn't really produce steam and some little tiles missing and on the side, so a feeling of it being not looked after. The hydrotherapy pool had 4 jacuzzi seats in it, which only 2 worked ( we went as a party of 4). The hydrotherapy jets also didn't work. The relaxation room has 4 hard plastic lay down benches, no music, no door... not relaxing at all. There was a cd player in their unplugged, no cd, on the floor behind a bench. There was a water butt in there, no glasses, no water. No staff came into that facility for the 2 hours we were there to check this. I went to the spa reception and told the lady there, she said she had no idea these things were not working. I asked if anyone had reported them before? She said no. She sent an engineer down there and I showed him the problems and he said that they knew about them and it had been like that for a couple of weeks! We spent the last half an hour of our time at the main pool area in the jacuzzi there, which was far better than being in the whole 'spa'! Whilst I was waiting in the spa reception later on, I heard the same woman selling the spa package to new guests, and she said not a word of the issues. Not good! We went to dinner, which we had booked for 8 pm. Staff could see we were waiting, and no one came over to us, so we walked up to the bar. Our table wasn't ready, so the waiter gave us menus standing up! They asked if we would sit outside of the restaurant area, and we said no. Another couple sat there, and no one came over to them in the 45 minutes to attend to them. Whilst waiting, we had to sit there, and no one came to us to get us a drink or to update us. One of our party went to the main reception and she ended up coming into the restaurant, getting us drinks and nibbles and we were hungry! Still, no one checked on us. We ended up getting sat down at 9 pm in the restaurant. Terrible service, but the food was good. The breakfast was OK. Had to queue to get your own coffee as only one machine, which is slow. Had to stand waiting for breakfast for about 10 minutes as only a couple of things were under the hot plate. Overall, it was a terrible place to pick for a spa break. Not relaxing and quite stressful! Caroline on the hotel reception was lovely. The only saving grace, and we ended up getting a partial refund. There was no way we would pay for the spa experience or the dinner!

Negative experience: This place is disgusting! So dirty and stuff are so lazy !.. especially mens changing rooms .. it's been a 5 days and same dirt! No toilet paper and just horrible. The floors are dirty , 5 days no one done cleaning. The toilet is dirty , the sing is horrible, someone was shaving there and it's been 5 days since no one cleaned it yet! I'm a member and pay £52 a mont ... ican't use facilities . Look on pictures ! Whoever is manager it shouldn't be . What a poor management and stuff. See them lots of the times just stand around by the reception and talk to each other . Instead of that do some jobs ! Like cleaning ! Soo disgusting. I'm sure every member feel like this. Just please do some cleaning it's been 5 days if not more. Horrible !

Positive experience: Elements of the stay were very good. Great staff service, special shout to Nikki - Restaurant Manager for going out of her way to provide excellent awareness and reassurance with food allergies. Food when it finally arrived was very good but there was a 50+ minute wait for starters with no explanation for delays. The room was definitely 3 star and carpets worn and stained. Very hot too.

Fantastic experience: Had a really nice stay here. Had the best full body massage ever from Lisa in the spa. So good, I went back the next day when Kieran gave me lovely glowing skin with a heavenly facial!! All the staff were brilliant, place is lovely, will definitely book the snuggle and snooze break again! Oh, my husband loved the golf!

Positive experience: The room is fairly standard but nice enough, encompassing and ironing board, mini fridge and very small TV. Unfortunately, having stopped here for 3 weeks with work, the majority of rooms appear to be directly over the bar/restaurant, which resulted in both late night noise from revellers, and tables being dragged around at 5am loud enough to wake you up. The food is good, but expensive, service from all staff is generally great. Breakfast is from 7, I was told I could have a breakfast to go, which was helpful as I need to leave for work at 7, and then was charged £7 per day for a takeaway breakfast. I've never had this before in any other hotel I've stopped at. Not massively the hotels fault but alarms going off for hours at a time from other guests rooms have kept me awake late into the night whilst staying here. The gym is nice, with a handful of cardio machines, 3 or 3 strength based machines and a selection of weights, with two benches to use. Certainly enough if you're just stopping here but I cannot imagine utilising it as a regular gym. There is also a small pool, with loungers around it, and a sauna and steam room. The steam room wasn't very warm and according to a member here has been on and off out of service for several months. I've not been overwhelmingly impressed here previously, but I am afraid despite the friendly staff, I wouldn't recommend this hotel and will be cancelling my next two weeks stay here.

Positive experience: I didn't stay on this occasion so can't comment on the rooms. The bar and restaurant are well presented and overlook the golf course and lake so a very pleasant environment. Sadly the food and service experience is very average and represents very poor value for money. During our visit the staff were floundering around not really knowing which to turn. An investment in training and good 'on the floor' leadership would make a huge difference. Food quality is acceptable but certainly not good for the prices being charged and presentation is practically non existent. Overall a very disappointing experience and such a shame when Ufford Park used to have much higher standards.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for a night when my boyfriend and I had a couple of days away in Suffolk. It was a very nice picturesque hotel. The room was very clean along with the bathroom. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful too. Whilst there, we used the restaurant for breakfast, the bar in the evening and the pool/spa on the second day. All amenities were all very nice. The breakfast tasted very good, the bar had a pleasant atmosphere in the evening and the spa was clean and lovely to use also. There was also a lounge area outside the spa which was relaxing to sit in and was a comfy place to wait when needed. We did not use the golf course but it looked very popular and was beautiful to view from our bedroom window. Highly recommend to stay here if you are looking for a short break hotel in Suffolk.

Negative experience: Stayed with a 1 year old, requested a cot but was not provided a mattress. Asked for one but was told they don't have any, just a folded up old duvet. Emailed and called the hotel to discuss but was ignored. A duvet is not a suitable sleeping surface for a baby as per multiple guidelines. Very worrying that they do not care about this.

Fantastic experience: Super fun at the crazy golf followed by drinkies on the patio overlooking the golf course. Problem with a dirty glass quickly rectified. Purpose of our visit was the crazy golf which is good value for money and quiet when we visited - no need to wait at any hole. Unfortunately I came in last!!! Good excuse for a return (revenge) visit.

Positive experience: We stayed 4 nights half board. Basics were all good: rooms clean, food quantity and quality fine, friendly staff. Some niggly minor faults such as bath/shower draining very slowly, basin plug jamming, no bar drink list or published prices, a few new staff in need of more training.

Negative experience: Wanted somewhere to meet a freind for a good meal. Couldn't find a menu on the website, and the "music" was appalling and no way to turn it off. After about five minutes of searching on the website I gave up. I'll go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Afternoon tea for two, for wife's birthday no atmosphere, cold, had to get up to ask for service... Food was OK, but sadly wouldn't recommend or revisit... As you can see I've been asked to email the "owner"... Which I have done and yet still nothing... Proves my point really...

Negative experience: Hallways are run down. Was awoken at 6am by the "spa" playing loud drum and bass music. The room card stopped working half way through the stay. Reception was unable to give me an invoice before checkout time (never had a problem at any other hotel), so at checkout as I had to leave early I had to phone the night staff to come over and had to wait for them.... Staff at the bar were quick to help the restaurant waiters, but slow to help those of us just waiting for a drink. Plenty of parking is one positive I guess.

Negative experience: We went today to use the driving range. Initial contact by phone had been helpful and friendly. So we headed on down fully expecting a good experience. The golf reception was great with friendly staff. We enjoyed the range and then headed over to the restaurant for a spot of lunch. This is where it all went wrong. The bar area was dated and looked very underwhelming- we chose instead to sit outside where the view was lovely. There seemed to be more staff than customers and we therefore expected prompt service, but having chosen an overpriced toastie and some hummus and pitta we then had to wait 30 minutes for the toasties to arrive and another 10 for the hummus to appear. The waitress didn't ask us if we needed anything so we had to eat without cutlery or sauces. The hummus only arrived because we went and asked for it. The hotel reception was also tatty and the toilets were nothing to write home about either. This ruined the whole experience for us. We have now checked the other reviews and realise our mistake. Come on Ufford, stop telling people that you will learn from their feedback and actually do something - this should be such a lovely venue that matches the golf facilities.

Positive experience: I gave this hotel 3 stars due to dated spa facilities. Steam room out of order. Very tired looking sauna. Whirlpool only jets on back not legs etc. However restaurant evening meal amazing and Nikki our waitress excellent. Rooms very clean and comfortable.

Negative experience: My partner treated me to a spa evening for the two of us a few months ago. However we were extremely disappointed. 2 out of the 4 jacuzzi seats were out of action, the jacuzzi beds were out of action, only 1 steam room was working and the place was very dirty and in need of a serious spruce up. We decided we'd go for a swim instead but the pool was unbearably cold. We ended up leaving early and when using the shower and changing facilities they were also disgusting and in need of a deep clean. We were really disappointed, we have used other spas in the area but this was just awful.

Positive experience: I liked the place, but I thought the room was overpriced compared to what it offered, as it didn't have a minibar and didn't have air conditioning or even a fan, and as we went during a hot season, we had to sleep with the window open. The breakfast is very good and the meals are very tasty and very well presented, congratulations to the chef.

Positive experience: Just a very tired hotel facility. Our suite/room for four is basically on the first hole of the golf course, with all kinds of people wandering by and being able to look directly into your sitting area from 2 metres away. Breakfast was decent enough but wouldn’t return.

Negative experience: Rooms are basic, definitely not worth what I paid for them. Premier Inn has better value for money. No air conditioning. No phone reception. Poor TV reception. Bathroom fixings are broken/bits missing. Reception I'd not manned directly 24 hours, you have to phone a number and then an extension to let someone know you are there and then someone comes to the desk. Good coffee at breakfast though. I didn't have anything to eat.

Positive experience: We alighted upon Ufford Park Hotel, picking up on a special offer to room our family for my wife's 70th birthday. The culture is relaxed and centred around golfing with a beautiful course, tiered driving range, and themed crazy golf, which was very popular with our grandchildren The reception and catering staff made every effort to accommodate our little birthday group and looked after our cake and flowers. The food tasted excellent. A nineties low - rise building, the rooms are mostly accessible by lift but not all. Those rooms that face the golf course afford a wonderful view on a sunny day. It was pleasant also to see youngsters picking up the golfing habit in and around the hotel. There is a pool and a spa which we made good use of. Ours was a short but very pleasant stay. Negative experience: On the face of it, the suite looked good. Sadly, the shower flooded, and the coffee machine also leaked and didn't pour any coffee. The swimming pool was out of order, which was frustrating as this was the reason we visited this spa over others. The showers in the changing rooms had only empty body wash / shampoo bottles. The included breakfast was at best on par with a basic hotels. Only one coffee machine, so you had to wait a while. You had to ask for staff to get you a coffee cup. This should be a quick process, but it turned out to be a long wait. The hot selection was okay. The milk and alternative options were all warm. The fruit selection could have been better. Customer service training, to ensure staff know. Know how to talk to people. 'Eating any more?' I guessed was their way of asking if we were done.

Positive experience: Stayed prior to a local golf match. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool & Spa was closed , but we had prior notification that this was the case. Although the spa treatment rooms were open and staff very efficient. Afternoon tea ordered via QR code at tables on the patio, it did take 20 minutes to arrive!! But the waitress did apologise and brought fresh scones, jam & cream. Breakfast was laid out buffet style and well stocked. The golf driving range was very modern including trackman, and bays pre-bookable. The large putting green was in excellent condition with grass quality some of the best I've played on. Overall the complex appeared a little tired and in need of a facelift. Would I stay again, yes without hesitation.

Negative experience: After two hours drive, arrived feeling tired and thought we will have a good time, but instead was very disappointed, with a lack of enthusiasm and sluggish customer service. We were made to feel uncomfortable and unwanted as customers. Restaurant didn't have many vegetarian options. Lady serving us was very serious and didn't know much about the menu and couldn't help us. Had to walk to the last room in the building despite having bad knee. The room had no view except another roof. Went there for our birthday treat and to relax, swimming pool was close, very small area gor relaxing in the jacqousi. Came back feeling very dissapointed. Would not go back there in a hurry and would not recommend. We wasted our money, time and effort Sad.

Positive experience: The course and all the golfing facilities were really good, definitely my favourite course in the area so far. The restaurant was good, decent food and good service. Could do with a better beer selection. The room was okay, very hot and the windows barely opened. The bath was not in great condition. However the room done the job and was a fairly low price when done as a package. Overall I'd definitely return for the golf side of things.

Negative experience: I stayed here for one night at the end of a very long works trip. I had numerous issues with the stay, all of which have been raised directly with the hotel. They've had almost 6 weeks to resolve these, but they continually fail to do so. I paid for the additional comfort of the executive suite, however comfort was not what I had. A very hot room as the heating was stuck on, a stand alone air con unit which when running sounded like an aircraft taking off, and there was no hot water in the bath due to a faulty mixer (I needed a bath rather than shower due to chronic back issues). All of which meant that little rest after 6 hours in the car was had. I also have an issue with fully cashless system, and with paying a hidden 10% service charge for my meal which I had to order at the bar. Great Service. On arrival, I was earlier than expected as was told to "wait in the bar until 3pm, then come back to check in". It was almost 14:40. I wasn't even offered the opportunity to pay extra for the early check in. I raised these concerns, and after almost 6 weeks and 4 chase emails I finally received a reply. A poor reply, basically saying, "sorry, we'll try harder next time". A discount on my next visit is no where near enough of a gesture to fix these issues. Not good enough service for this kind of money. I'd advise you look elsewhere for a place to stay.

Positive experience: Had a golf and spa break. Had the weather on our side which helped enjoy the weekend. The spa treatments were very good but what let it down was the Thermal area had a broken door which allowed the noise to be heard from the poolside and the sauna as well as part of the jacuzzi was not working. The hotel just needs a little TLC but did not spoil our weekend.

Negative experience: Shockingly bad. Starting with staff members at the reception area having personal gossip conversations which spa customers had to listen to, while in the sitting area, about dates they had been on over the weekend and how much they had drunk, to complaining about other members of staff who work at the hotel. Completely unprofessional. The changing rooms are absolutely revolting. The smell hits you as you walk through the doors, no ventilation, so you can smell the toilets. The lockers are either broken or have no keys to them so any personal belongings can’t be kept safe. The sink is also now broken and out of use. The toilet seats are also wobbly and the flushers broken. The spa facilities are beyond poor, either always broken and out of use or so dirty you wouldn’t want to use them. Had a spa day and paid over £250. The deep tissue massage was dreadful, the worst I have experienced. The ‘Thermal spa area ’ is so outdated, cracked tiles, the foot spa baths, I wouldn’t even put my feet in. The plunge pool had jets that weren't working. It was a very sad experience. It use to be nice a nice hotel and now it is one of the worst I have been to! Go to Seckford hall for a lovely experience!

Positive experience: Location was great and a beautiful view of the golf course from the bedroom. Was quiet during the night. Spa and pool area were clean. Dinner and breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly. There were a few maintenance issues in the bedroom, which didn't affect our stay. some loose tiles in the shower and a broken thermostat cover, but were pointed out to staff on checking out.

Negative experience: Booked 2 day spa break for wife's birthday. Beautiful suite overlooking the golf course. Very spacious and clean. Spa was looking decidedly tired and in need of some tlc. We used the spa and the facilities on the first day, there is a jacuzzi in the spa area with 4 seats where the water and air jets come out. However, only 2 were working, we were informed later by a staff member that these had been out of order for several months. The second day we done some sight seeing in the morning before heading back to have a swim etc. We were informed that the pool was out of action until possibly 18:30 because it was being serviced and they had found a problem. The food was lovely and staff were polite and attentive. The dining room was looking shabby with badly stained ceiling tiles. When we checked out, we asked whether there would be a discount offered as we were unable to use the pool for half of our stay (after all it was booked as a spa break) we were told that we wouldn't receive any refund or reduction as maintenance has to be carried out. I suggested that if it was planned maintenance, then it should either be done when paying guests are wanting to use the facilities, or not accept bookings when there is maintenance booked. This was met with total indifference by the reception staff. We will not be returning to Ufford park !!

Fantastic experience: Travelled with hubby who was there for work. Staff are very helpful and professional, good breakfast and variety of meals on menu. The hotel allowed early check-in which helped since I have an autoimmune condition (invisible disability). Ample parking. Good Spa facilities. Spa staff friendly, offered refreshments whilst I waited for our room, since hubby had to go out for his meetings, they took good care of me. Luggage taken to our room whilst i waited. Good wifi/Internet. Great atmosphere, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely stay again. Great for golfers although we weren't there for golf. Very lovely setup.

Fantastic experience: We stayed over Easter and had a room on 2nd floor near the Debden Suite which had a "DO" on Saturday night. We expected the music to stop at 11pm / 11.30 pm but it went on till just after midnight, back ground noise which meant we could not open the patio doors for fresh air. NOT a major problem but music to midnight is not good, and unfortunately my wife was not well (not your problem) which did not help. Great hotel will come again, very nice restaurant and staff.

Positive experience: Where on earth do I start! This is quintessential middle of the road, everything that is good has bad points once you scratcg slightly beneath the surface, nothing is amazing but nothing is terrible. They just don't seem to update or fix anything until they absolutely have to. For example...... The gym has great modern equipment but multiple machines don't work and it really needs some windows or air con sooooo hot! Hotel is large, well spaced, good set up of facilities, but omg is it in need of a paint job! The whole place looks so dingy and sofas in social areas feel about 15 years old n musty. The restaurant food is fine, Limited opinions but not bad. Appears clean on the face of it but we spotted on our 2nd day at breakfast a chip under a table, 3 days later still there Cleaners only come to your room if you hang the sign on your door, very unusual but OK. The problem is no1 tells you this until you ask after a few days of your room not being touched. None of the staff were ever rude like some reviews say but there is a feel throughout the whole staff and hotel in general that if you ask for something they are happy to help but if you don't ask nothing ever gets done, there is no proactiveness or intuition. What I'll say is the facilities you get for the money is great but that is wildly balanced out by the service, effort and general blah feel there is throughout the hotel. We had fun but mostly because we just enjoyed it for what it was and accepted it was cheap. If they just tried harder, had a higher bar of service, gave it a lick of paint and show a bit of pride in what they do they could easily charge double.

Negative experience: A very disappointing stay, obviously we've arrived on an off day. We chose this venue due to the itenary of our trip and our booking in times that we would spend the afternoon/ early evening relaxing in the pool and spar but were immediately told after booking in that due to an incident in the pool/spar area that it would be completely of bounds for the duration of our visit. Later in the evening we went down for food but didn't want anything from the evening menu and there were no other options for snacks. We tried looking for a delivery service, but wernt able to get delivery to the location. Car park late afternoon/early evening had loads of youngsters driving in and out, one almost hit our car speeding in on the other side of the road. While the Scottish receptionist was nice enough booking us in the young guy who was on reception with her was very rude. We passes him six times in and out of the hotel yesterday, he made no eye contact or attempted any conversation, and on booking out this morning, just took our room key and said OK good to go. No how was your stay, thank you nothing. Breakfast this morning was good and had a lovely view over the golf course. I worked at the Vale golf and spar resort South Wales for over 6years, and expected a better customer service, bit disappointing considering the reviews.

Fantastic experience: We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our friends 60th birthdays and we certainly got that. It was perfect! We booked spa treatments for Saturday morning and a lovely lady called Gail really went out of her way to make our spa experience wonderful. We cannot fault a thing! The Lunch, three course evening meal and breakfast was delicious! We stayed in the apartment that was joined to the hotel, it was clean, warm and very spacious. Thank you to all the friendly staff at Ufford Park for making our stay so special and for the bottle of bubbly and macaroons left in our room. We would highly recommend that anyone who is looking for a special place go to Ufford Park

Positive experience: Great place. Hotel ,restaurant bar 5 stars Went for a spa weekend but predominantly a golf hotel. All the staff were very helpful and happy. Check in wasn't completely smooth and I was billed incorrectly and nearly missed it. Get an itemised bill. Front reception check in/out Need a bit more training... The waiting staff were very very good in the restaurant. The meals were outstanding and breakfast quick and various options. I did have to wait 20 mins for our welcome cocktails on arrival though... But other than that, overall fast service. SPA 2 stars The spa treatments themselves were good. I find walking up to 6 members off staff all standing looking at you and chatting amonst themselves at the desk a little intimidating they don't all need to be there...I work in the industry. That's not a good first impression. I felt the treatment of individuals was inconsistent. Some guests got water , some didn't. Some got robes, some didn't. I had to ask for robes as apparently not booking a spa day means you don't get one. My partner and I booked two treatments each ,and they had to be spread out. So we didn't wish to keep getting dressed and undressed... They did oblige. But it should be provided if your having more than one treatment. my treatment and therapist was very good though. And although I spent £150 on treatments. That I couldn't get booked closer together . I cannot go in the special day spa pool area? It's £25 each. Can't quite understand? I could book 1 treatment and pay £25 to go in this special area. But spend £150 on treatments and am not allowed access? And your paying £££ to stay in the hotel. Seems petty. Lockers missing the bands and I nearly forgot my number as just got a key. Bulky broken laundry basket holding door open. An elderly lady had trouble getting through... I think the spa staff need to be more professional. I will say they are happy , polite and friendly enough though. But instead of chatting at the desk hoover the floors as they were covered in bits. Rooms... OK A superior deluxe ... well about the standard of a basic room at a good hotel. Bathroom bland and tired looking. Nothing exactly wow. But clean and spacious. Balcony was nice. All a bit bland though. But it was a nice room overall. Would I go bck. Yes for a hotel stay and food. No for spa . Only because when I spa ,I like to bop about in my robe all day ,eat lunch go to bar for drinks etc. Read by the pool. And because its got alot of golfers in. I felt this wasn't comfortable. Standing in a robe in front of alot of golfing drinkers, is not the one tbh. I think a separate area for the spa guests to eat and drink would be more appropriate. And anyone using the spa should be allowed in the spa pool and jacuzzi area. It was an odd concept, I have stayed at other spa hotels. And your welcome to go to the spa pool and use all spa facilities whilst you waiting for treatments if your staying at the hotel. Yes you can use the main public leisure pool. But not the' special 'areas. And to spend money on treatments and not be good enough for the special spa area and not get a robe as standard was a bit rude tbh. You felt second rate. But paid for the privilege. If your looking for a really lovely hotel stay with great food and drink. ( so much drinks choice too) This is definitely your place. If you looking for a stay with a relaxing chilled spa experience. I'd say find a spa specific hotel.

Fantastic experience: Spa day Overall a very good experience, the treatment rooms and reception area were all very well presented. The staff were fabulous from the beginning to the end. The swimming area, steam rooms and changing rooms I would say are a little run down in regards to the other areas and would have been nice to have some background music / scents in the coded door area. But overall we had a really lovely day with a nice meal included.

Fantastic experience: I booked onto the 2 hour spa discovery experience, which included full access to the spa facilities for 2 hours and a 30minute massage ( I chose the back massage). The staff were very friendly on arrival and provided free access of flip flops, robe and a towel. They then showed me where the facilities were and the spa area. The spa area itself was lovely because it wasn't really packed (it's separate from the main pool/sauna facilities), the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were also empty but great. There was a foot soak area (which they provided crystals for) and a relaxation room. All in all it was a great experience, the only down side was to keep pressing the jacuzzi button every few minutes and the cold showers in the spa area were not working. However I did then go on to have the best back massage I have ever had. The therapist was lovely and she talked me through what she was doing. She put a great level of pressure on my back to release all the knots (far superior to any massage I've had before). Afterwards, there was a lovely relaxation room on comfy loungers and blankets provided (it was hard not to fall asleep!). I left the spa feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, would highly recommend.

Positive experience: Very welcoming at reception. Large room, bright, comfortable and with pleasant view over golf course. Great bathroom and facilities. Evening meal had good service and they dealt with any issues effectively. Lovely waitress. Our mains were really good, but dessert was a let down. Breakfast rather disappointing; food not replenished promptly and poor quality sausages. Would still visit again however.

Positive experience: I have such fond memories of Ufford Park after numerous Golf trips over years and it has always been perfect in every way. This time I was attending a Christmas Casino night and Disco and obviously booked accommodation as well. The Disco started as they started serving the food and we just couldn't hear ourselves speak and the flashing lights didn't help. The entertainment finished at 1.00pm and I went to my room to sleep. I had only been asleep for an hour when some sort of heating or air conditioning system started and thereafter I didn't sleep at all. I was totally exhausted the next morning and just as well I wasn't playing golf. Whether it was due to my room being over the health club, I do not know. I went for breakfast at 7.00am when the restaurant opened. I must admit the breakfast was delightful as I always remember. Please don't let this put anyone off as Ufford Park is a fabulous place. I think a Christmas function is not the best time to judge a venue and I was probably unlucky with my room position in respect of the noise. It may be worth asking about this or perhaps Ufford Park might like to offer an explanation. Just being honest in respect of this recent visit. In the past I have had no complaints whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: Myself and 2 others friends had a spa day. We had a very warm welcome and ALL the staff were very attentive and friendly. We were very well looked after. The meal was delicious too. All areas were very clean. It was so relaxing and I recommend the full body hot stone massage. We will be back.

Fantastic experience: Overnight stay 27 October 2023 with my wife for my birthday. Room was very comfy and had a balcony overlooking putting green and first tee. Restaurant was a nice atmosphere and plenty of food options. Staff we friendly and helpful. I had Hake and my wife had pork. Both meals were very tasty and plenty. A table of 10 or so that sat next to us, had that 1 person!! He was rude to staff and arrogant. Just because you didn’t want to pay for your salad as a main but wanted at the same time as everyone’s main and then required the bill individually lay out to only spend £10 Loser, sure your friends loved having you along Staff that had to deal with him were excellent, Well done. Having to deal with that is not ok but he embarrassed himself. We spoke to you at the end of the night to reassure you too. We had a very nice meal and were probably the last to leave due to not being rushed. Would recommend and will come back.

Negative experience: Since the change of owners sadly this hotel no longer lets dogs on site anywhere in the hotel (accept in the garden and today it was raining) This is such a shame hopefully the new owners will re think their decision. Children can be worse than dogs!

Fantastic experience: Beautiful location and just lovely staff , especially in the spa area. Two ladies in particular made my visit a wonderful experience for my birthday. We were greeted by Gayle when we first arrived who was just lovely, she explained everything in detail, gave us a tour and was available throughout our day checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. I also had a young lady by the name of Brooke for my treatment, again so lovely, very knowledgeable and had a wonderful way about her to put you at ease and made my treatment the best I've had so far. I'm already looking forward to going back.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I went for a relaxing weekend break. The hotel is in need of an update in places but the rooms were clean and comforable. The view of the golf course and balcony in the morning was a posotive.The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was well presented and tasted great.

Positive experience: Stayed here for two nights to visit family in the area. Booked a family room about 3 months in advance and contacted the hotel to request a room with a view as the website advised that some of the family rooms had a view of the golf course. I was told it wasn't possible and that all the family rooms faced the car park, despite the website advertising otherwise. The room was a good size and the beds really comfortable but it wasn't very clean - the carpet was stained, there were large areas of dust in the wardrobe and bathroom and the windows were filthy. Breakfast was good and the view across the grounds was lovely as was the pool but a lot of the communal areas look run down and grubby. I will look to stay elsewhere next time im in Woodbridge as I expected better for the price I paid.

Positive experience: I only used the golf driving range but very well kitted out, and good Aspell's cider and Adnams beer on tap in the bar. Pity about the no dogs policy as with the previous owners you could.

Positive experience: Golf club hotel and spa with good facilities, reasonable menu, food is ok. No complaints, helpful staff, rooms are clean. I think probably coming up for a revamp - the golf course looks great but can't say how it plays. I'm a returning guest to all in all happy with the price performance mix.

Positive experience: Really nice hotel. It needs a bit of a refurbishment as getting outdated. Service inconsistent, young man on reception very helpful, the girl, I might as well have spoken to the wall. Same across the board, some very pleasant staff, others should find a new career. Wife booked a massage, got an oily back rub instead. Waste of money.

Positive experience: Location convenient for where I needed to be. Rooms good but have minor things that need to be taken care of, e.g. no TV signal, towels had old black stain on sides, low water pressure in shower Restaurant food good but overpriced - £32 for a steak! Fantastic experience: Just back from a three day Golf Break, course well maintained and quite challenging with wide variety of holes to suit all players. Rooms clean with full facilities. The stand out though was the food I forgot to leave my compliments to the chef had three excellent meals.

Positive experience: Staff were lovely and very attentive, the service was fantastic. The only real criticism I have is that the rooms and the pool/spa facilities were a bit tatty and could use a refresh. The changing rooms weren't very fresh, several of the showers were leaking and there were signs of mildew in places. The spa itself was a bit shabby with stains on the walls/damaged columns/tiles and half of the items like the aromatherapy sauna weren't working, neither were half of the hydro pool jets) the mineral grotto was damaged and the seat drains were clogged so the seats were full of water. A good experience overall, but this definitely hindered it from being a great one.

Negative experience: Only booked the room because I've been hiking all week, injured my leg, and wanted a massage. Despite arriving just two hours after check-in I was informed the spa was already closed and it was unlikely I'd be able to get one before check-out the next morning. This wouldn't have been an issue if the room had been nice enough to justify the high price, but this was absolutely not the case. The furnishings were no nicer than your average Travelodge, the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, and the shower was pitiful. There was also some kind of motor noise creating extremely loud vibrations through the wall every couple of minutes until gone 1am, waking me up every time I started to drift off. Amenities were extremely basic, the soap smelled more like stagnant water than the ingredients listed on the bottle, and there was someone else's hair sat in plain view on the hand towel. I bought a drink from the bar, and noticed it had a load of brown crumbs in the bottom. Took it back and the bartender didn't even apologise or take a look, just chucked it down the sink and made another. I took that one back to my room, where on closer inspection I found a hair in it. By that point I didn't really want the drink any more and I couldn't be bothered to go back a third time, so I just left it. Due to the numerous hygiene issues I avoided the restaurant and didn't try the breakfast buffet, but it didn't look like it would've made up for the rest of the experience being so disappointing. I wasn't able to make use of any of the leisure facilities before checking out and was left feeling ripped off and wishing I'd just gone home a day earlier. Despite their lack of attention to detail, the cleaning crew seemed to be keen, one of them barging in on me unannounced while I was getting dressed 45 mins before checkout time. I mentioned a couple of the issues to the girl on reception on my way out, who offered to get a manager, but I didn't want to hang around any longer.

Positive experience: Booked several rooms for a family pre wedding stay. Rooms were comfy as were beds and a good size. The hot water took a long time to reach the shower though. Breakfast was good, quite a variety but they ran out of coffee beans on a weekend with a wedding there. We had asked a receptionist to have a table for 9 for dinner, which they forgot, but then quickly set up. If you book more than one room, make sure you all hand your keys in at the same time and with the person paying or they will ask you to pay as you leave individually. Menu a little pricey for evening meal and vegetarian option could be more interesting. I probably would use it again. The lady doing the late shift in the restaurant on 4th August was amazing

Fantastic experience: Fantastic spa experience, one of the best massages I have ever had by Charlee. Food was excellent, staff very friendly and Gail did an excellent job of showing us around the spa and giving us the relevant information. The Maître de in the restaurant made us feel very welcome and she was very attentive to our needs.
