Fantastic experience: Excellent swimming baths with a wave pool, jacuzzi, small pool and slides.

Negative experience: Wouldn't even waste your time trying to phone them, even when I've went and I've been at reception they just sit and let the phone ring.

Positive experience: Had the pool to ourselves as youngun was off because of teacher training day was brilliant but the hot tub wasn't hot. Clean changing rooms and toilets.

Negative experience: This place is soo bad worst place ever the staff are really rude and disrespectful. Im never going there again and im sure most people feel the same way.

Positive experience: Our first visit today, the pool is not very big and the water was cold, but my 4 year old was not bothered. He enjoyed the waves and I enjoyed the slightly warmer jacuzzi. The changing village is a bit run down. We didn't use the slides as we were told the queues were big and the wait time was about 20 minutes. The cafe had a good food selection, but with only 1 staff working the kitchen there was a significant wait. They also got our drink order wrong, but happily resolved the issue.

Negative experience: Shocking treatment from racist receptionist. With no reply from management after leaving a messae to speak with someone. Receptionist also tryed to charge extra fees, possibly for personal gain. Very worrying.

Positive experience: One of the least accessible/intuitive/useable websites I've ever come across. Leaves me so frustrated everytime I try to book anything. Get a new one designed stockton Council!

Positive experience: Splash has a small learner pool, a baby/toddler splash pool and a main pool. There are 2 slides and a jacuzzi area. Reasonably priced if you are a member of the active card scheme, but without this costs can be high. Poolside changing area, 1 accessible /disabled changing room and family changing rooms. Open showers, but private showers also available in the toilet area. Access is good throughout splash, but slippy underfoot in the changing areas as expected. Lockers are big enough to hold mobility aids or walking sticks (up to 34/35 inches tall max) Careful getting changed during 'wave sessions' the water comes out into the changing area and will soak anything you have on the floor in the closest 2 changing cubicles (as I found out today when my bag got wet)

Fantastic experience: Great place for whole family. There are two slides and it's allowed for kids from 1 meter. One big deep pool where everybody are allowed, and two safety pools for kids, two jacuzzi (not hot).

Negative experience: The changing rooms had a bloody tampon, blood on the slide . Found a pool noddle so I borrowed it for my 3 year old daughter, since she was struggling to swimming even with arm bands on. maniger shouted at my 8 year daughter for taking said pool noodle -also got banned.

Negative experience: Manager shouted at my 6 year old child and made them cry because they didn’t know how to blow up there arm bands

Positive experience: well what can i say, for a starter it's quite a nice pool, however due to the excessive amount of people and children it became a complete free for all today, likely due to the schools being off there was an excessive amount of people in the pool, which made serious swimming quite difficult, due to people getting in the way! the wave machine unfortunately seemed to be a complete dissapointment, it made the experience quite uncomfortable if children weren't allowed into the pool, and it was divided into lanes then it would be a vastly superior swimming experience can't wait for the one in Peterlee to reopen, but for now, i will visit the Hartlepool brach 3/5, would visit again during quiet hours

Positive experience: We went here for the swimming pool overall clean and tidy changing room and pool area. The water was a little on the cold side for us and our 2 year old daughter. Would maybe look at only going back when she is older so the cold does not get to her as much.

Positive experience: Quite impressive public leisure centre, with helpful staff. It would be good, however, to have longer than one hour in the gym on pay-as-you-go.

Positive experience: This is a great swimming pool for kids, not so much if you are a serious swimmer wanting to do laps. The accessibility is good. Having said that the accessible toilet is currently closed. The only one available is in the accessible changing room, which gives the impression of being used as a bit of a storage room.

Positive experience: Lovely swimming facilities for all the members of the family, old or young. Didn't visit the gym but they have one. There's also a soft play area for kid's birthdays and all. Plenty of parking which is free for 1hr.

Negative experience: Nightmare! Not enough water flowing down the slides as our small grandson (7) even got stuck, which resulted in my husband going down after him to get him out as the lifeguard at the top didn't have a radio to tell the staff below what was going on! Very dangerous and we won't be going back.

Fantastic experience: Considering this is under notice of being knocked down, is a mystery and a mistake. It has the best facilities of most public baths in cleveland, and we've been to most of them. The staff are very friendly and helpful. To anyone with mobility issues this is a great place, it has been well planned (which is amazing for a public building!!) the access for wheelchairs, ramps, etc. has been factored in instead of being a shoddy afterthought. There is a cafe on the same level with great access. There is a wave making machine and flumes, with a separate hydro pool. They did have diving boards a long time ago, since removed due to the "safety" taliban. Would recommend except that would mean it getting too crowded for us!!! Joking!!! Great place with gym facilities in the same building, go see it!!!

Positive experience: Various different pools. Sadly our experience yesterday was not too good. We accept it being busy due to school holidays, that was not an issue, what was an issue was those being allowed to constantly jump and bomb into the pool at the deep end, meaning that section of the pool was unusable by others as this continued for a full thirty minutes. The baby pool was not safe due to older children being allowed to jump in it causing big splashes and causing the little ones to go under the water. Sadly none of these unsafe actions were stopped, I can only assume that staff can not make any attempt to stop this for some reason. A lot of the lockers do not work and are in great need of some attention. Apologies for the not great review, as your pools are lovely and changing areas kept clean.

Positive experience: A nice clean pool with different areas for younger children. Only loses a star due to issues with lockers. The band we had been given would not work and so a staff member set up a locker for us. When exiting the pool we had to find another staff member to unlock it for us. This staff member was promptly bombarded with questions from other swimmers leaving us standing wet and cold for around ten minutes ... Not ideal with a toddler. I must add the staff member was apologetic

Fantastic experience: Great for swimming with my one year old. Pretty reasonably priced, has a toddler pool, bubble pool, main pool, nice to move between each. Little boy loves the bubble jets in the main pool.

Fantastic experience: Was the first time I had been swimming in almost 15 years. Staff at Splash were lovely. All friendly and helpful. I was Lockyer as it was very quiet so I got to swim at my own almost standstill pace. Pool temperature is fantastic. None of that freezing entry! Definitely will be back, and I won’t wait 15 years!

Positive experience: Splash has always been a really good place for kids and families. The changing rooms are good, showers plentiful and there's lots of space on the pool on an average day. Of course during the school holidays it does get a bit too crowded. The slide and wave machine are so much fun and probably the highlight of the session. I'm not quite sure how long the session is but if it's one hour or seems a bit too short for the kids. Even one hour and 30 minutes would be more suitable. When it comes to public swimming times and days it seems like sessions are moving around throughout the year and not consistent. Checking online for the various sessions is a bit confusing too. You're left feeling frustrated at what should be something so simple to accomplish. I always ended up having to call the reception desk. During which time an automated recording recommends you check the website rather than wait on the phone line. Perhaps they haven't tried the website? I'm not too keen on the adult sessions in the evenings either as they always seem far too congested. Furthermore for what they cost it just doesn't seem like good value for money. As i prefer swimming as my main choice of sports/fitness I ended up going to Total Fitness. Staff at Splash are all very friendly and helpful, even when there are long queues of people. The membership scheme for kids swimming is good value for money. Overall I would recommend Splash to families, just be prepared to have to keep checking session times every month or so.

Negative experience: Freezing cold water many complaints from people in pool shouldn’t be that cold the 2 life guards I spoke to said it’s always cold one said it’s because the air is warm The locker key that suppose to open lockers took us over 5 mins for infra red light to connect after trying 8 lockers. The actually band kept coming off when in pool as it wouldn’t clip into the holes many people in pool moaning about them. Really total waste of money. Many older kids jumping n deep end so no opportunity really to get to that end I know kids off and bust expected that but ridiculous that you cannot even get to deep part. Wasn’t a nice experience at all and won’t be going back

Positive experience: Would get 5 stars but management really need to get the tech guys onto the website and sort out the booking system for swimming, i am also an Active 8 member and have no issues with booking for the gym classes, but when it comes to loading the choices for swimming, it either says "no booking available" or it takes about 5 mins to load the options or not at all, it really feels like i am on dial up internet its so slow. This needs looking into as a priority. Apart from that no issues with staff or facilities.

Positive experience: Nitemare to book online as I'm also a gym member and it automatically goes to gym classes. Now cant book unless I pay a fine which I didnt know I owed and wasnt aware of the new rule.Dont want to book in advance for classes as I cant always get there on time due to my job,would rather take the chance and just turn up. Also terrible to get thru on the phone ,very long wait and no real help when you eventually get thru. Time to pack in it I think.Dont have the time for this

Positive experience: Staff were very friendly and helpful, however the public who used the swimming session need to have a dress code when swimming. From my observation people were dressed inappropriately e.g their daily wear, denim shorts, and summer dresses. And left with the same clothes on. Also showers were not in working order for the amount of people who were booked for the session. For health and hygiene reasons the showers need to be fully working order.

Fantastic experience: Kids loved it. There is two slides, wave pool and a toddler pool. It was a good 1 hour letting the kids burn some energy.

Positive experience: Could do with more cleaning in changing rooms. I often look through the changing rooms to find cleanest. However the pool is great. The staff could acknowledge customers in front of them more. Staff seem to be typing away on computer than seeing to customers. Normally two staff members on counter but only one dealing with the line of customers.

Negative experience: Slides closed though website suggested another 8 days before we went. Dirty pool sand in corners and scum in the kiddies pool on the side walls. Pool noodles at side of the pool but kids not able to use them on public swim... fine no issues but put them away so the public know there not aloud and be whistled at. If you laughed you was whistled at. Anyway though us adult didn't enjoy the kids has a good hour.

Negative experience: Cleanliness was the main issue here, too distracting to swim with goggles as you can see all of the detritus on the floor of the pool. The changing rooms and showers were just as bad, cleaning standards seem worryingly low here and made me wonder what else they're not doing.

Fantastic experience: Very organized and staff great parking outside check the parking machines as they both out of order could not get ticket to pay did not get one but was ok The splash team do not know about the parking as that is separate from splash and belongs to council hope this helps.

Positive experience: We always enjoy a trip to splash, we haven't been since covid hit and were surprised to see how crowded it was, considering there were limited bookings per time slot online, there was barely enough room to move around, let alone swim. Very disappointed at how busy it was, especially with covid. The kids enjoyed it though

Negative experience: i have been today with my family -my mom, 2yrs old and 4 month old baby. Unfortunately we were kicked out by manager Fill, because my 4 month old baby got only water proof nappy and no swimming suit. A man with a shirt came and said - unfortunately, you have to leave swimming pool today. He did it in front the other people in the swimming pool. Such a shame! I asked to show were is the policy that my 4 month baby should wear swimming suit and its not enough to have water proof nappy.We left the swimming pool and he didn’t return my money back! however i don’t recommend this place only because for unpolite Mr Fill. He ruined my and my family’s day.

Positive experience: It’s a great place to visit if you wanna go swimming. It’s very fun and clean. The receptionist was very kind and friendly. Although I wish they would allow walk ins. But I know it’s because of covid and I apreiciate them being careful. I will deffos visit again soon

Positive experience: I go to splash almost every week with a young girl I support. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Staff here are usually very understanding of the additional needs of my client and go out of the way to help if they can. There are 2 water slides, 2 pools, a small jacuzzi and a wave machine. Which is great for the family fun sessions. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the water is usually freezing cold even in the jacuzzi. Great leisure centre
