Negative experience: Staff is rude and unhelpful. Trying to boss people around when all they do is get in your way. After submitting my review above I got approached by the staff member in question (breach of GDPR). She turned out to be the manager and she questioned me about my review. I explained her my point of view and the way her approach left me feel I got an ‘ok’ and a reluctant shrug. I will not be returning and terminating my membership. Please train your senior staff better. I normally would not leave such a bad review but the arrogance made me feel uncomfortable.

Negative experience: Went today for the first time to this PureGym and was shocked (I previously used to use the Aldgate one and it was very nice) as the women’s changing room smelt absolutely disgusting, there were no towels, you have to take your own padlock (no PIN code lockers) and the treadmill had old school buttons and didn’t even connect to Bluetooth. There wasn’t even any wifi for me to connect my own device to listen to music or watch TV. Yes it’s cheap for a gym, but you get what you pay for, i.e. 90s equipment and minimal cleaning ♀️

Positive experience: Gym is good,but air conditioning system work poor
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based on size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes. Fantastic experience: Was very empty on a Friday morning which is nice The neatest and cleanest Putegym I've been to - every weight was in its place and all plates put away. Great work by their staff as other Puregyms are often a mess with weights everywhere Definitely one of the best Puregyms

Positive experience: I am a regular goer to this gym. It looses a start for two reasons. The two reasons stem from members not being mindful enough. People don't put away there dumbbells or weight plates in the correct place or they don't even put them away. This can become dangerous for others. The manager has to waste there time clearing up after others. The second point is that too many people sit on equipment on there phones in-between sets. It's a well equipped small gym but people need to be mindful that if they need to use there phones they can go to the seating area near the managers office to use there phone.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, they make very good use of the space available, good selection of equipment and facilities. Kept clean and staff are great. Only negatives i would mention is that the leg pads on the lat pull downs are at an angle, which allows your legs to slide out and not feel properly secured. I also could not find a bar with gnirling or grip in the middle, in turn when squatting there may be a small risk the bar slides down. These are tiny flaws in a great gym.

Positive experience: Good equipment, not too busy. But please tell your PTs to replace the equipment after use. It seems like they think the rules do not apply to them. Today I was training around 13.30 and found that a PT used the hex bar with his client and just left it with plates on it. When I confronted him, he did not budge. When I complained to the manager, he said "I will talk to him" but he never did. So 5 pts for facilities, 1 point for the attitude towards customers.

Positive experience: This gym still gets packed during peak times. It is messy and a bit smelly. But not their fault that people don't use deodrant and inconsiderate as most don't bother to put things back properly. Maybe some people have really bad eyesight as they don't put the weights back on the correct rack! Still no improvement to the showers. Water are still cold and still sprays everywhere. Again, it's a sprinkler, not a proper shower.

Positive experience: Great gym, good quality equipment, the gym is not too big but the areas are organised in a nice way. The only downside is that it gets hot and humid very quickly so would be great to have more air condition

Positive experience: I'm member from 3 mounts ago and I don't really have a big complain but today was all mess,everything around,changing rooms very dirty, kids playing a pilates ball pissing out everyone and the music was too loud. Today I really regret this gym

Negative experience: One of the staff there has cut the padlock without any permission the staff here think they owe the gym am really disappointed about what happened cutting a padlock without a permission on top of that she is asking if am alright Really really disappointed and am leaving very sad to see this things happening 2024

Please refer to our gym rules: Members are asked to only use the lockers for the duration of their training session. Lockers will be emptied at night and members items removed to lost property. Fantastic experience: Best one in the city by a mile. I work really close to it and sure it very busy at busy times tue wed and thu afterwork. I also walk 40 odd mins on Fri sat and Sun cause the ones next to me (limehouse, whitechappel) are literally 1/10th as good and as clean as this. Superb.

Positive experience: No doubts it is a fully equipped gym, but it gets a bit too busy to the point you don't know where to lay down your mat for stretching.

Negative experience: Pure gym little Britain is supposed to be 24/7 but door is locked. At 11am Unbelievable.
Negative experience: I've been a member here for about 6 months and have had mixed experiences at this gym. The equipment and workout are effective, but it's frustrating that some members don't return weights and equipment to their proper places, leaving employees to tidy up after them. The gym has CCTV cameras, which should help identify or track down individuals not following the rules. It'd be a better experience if everyone showed more consideration for the staff and fellow gym-goers.

Negative experience: Pretty poor expericne with Lloyd and the pure gym booking system. I booked a HIT session a few weeks ago, but unfortunately, when we (myself and another lady) arrived to take the class there was no PT on show. I knew what Lloyd looked like so approached him to ask about taking the session as it was under his name. Lloyd said there was no class and completely denied it was meant to take place (although it was showing on the app). He used this time to take a 1:1 session with a client, so obviously it was in his best interest to take the client session rather than our group session. I have no issue with this, we all have to make extra. That said, his manner, unprofessionalism, and dismissive nature was very disappointing - own up to the error and apologise, at a minimum, be accountable and communicate properly. Another PT named Kelvin (give the guy a promotion!), could hear what was going on, and after a coupe of minutes chatting to myself and the lady, he offered to take the session. At first we declined as he was just about to finish his shift, but he insisted. His empathy, emotional intelligence, and desire to take us through a session (when he did not have to) was incredible and a testiment to his character. It was also one of the toughest sessions - awesome Kelvin. We need more people like him.

Positive experience: Good standard of equipment, availability and showers and changing rooms pretty clean. Added advantage that the gym is seconds from Monument tube station.

Positive experience: Update: this gym is too busy nowadays :( I've come in multiple times over the past weeks and left straight away as it was too crowded and smelly and none of the gym members clean their equipment. Disappointed and it feels like COVID central I've gone to other pure gyms like Aldgatr and Tower Hill instead. Not really worth the time waiting between machines and bumping into people at every step. Giving this 5 stars for Calvin’s amazing help today when he saved the day after a class had been cancelled. Myself and another gym member had not been informed about the class cancellation (disappointing), but Calvin was so kind and stepped in - couldn’t be grateful enough!

Negative experience: Their system is somewhat slow, the gates both at the entrance and inside are slow to read codes or react to code punching. The gym is kept clean minus the toilets. It can get overcrowded there at times but people are usually nice and share equipment. The equipment is very basic though, I can't understand why they won't just get machines for exercises people use dumbbells for, it would save space overall and hassle.

Positive experience: Fantastic gym, well located and a good selection of equipment 24/7. Couple of areas for improvement: - A/c is far too hot (maybe turned off to save electricity?) - Men's toilets can be grim, often without toilet paper. The toilet paper holder has been broken in the disabled toilet for months. - General cleaning is poor. Sports drink dispenser touchscreen is always filthy. And the Dettol sanitizer station has been empty for weeks.

Negative experience: The MANAGER (White Woman, Blond hair, maybe Eastern European, Hobit height ) is an unprofessional, ignorant and most probably RACIST person. FYI. In this position, you are required at a minimum to at least SMILE at the members... NOT scowl at them when walking past, to make them feel unwelcome. Do that in your own country! My cousin told me about her and I can concur that she is nasty. I myself have seen her in action. How do you employ people like her. She needs to behave herself with looks like that, because if my cousin takes it further, she'll be out of a job! Their are cameras in the gym Karen! Positive experience: Great gym with a lots of machines .. really like this puregym .. thought I'd found the perfect one but as usual there has to be some downside. What's with the lockers recently? I arrive in gym at non peak times when there's no more than 7 ppl in and yet every large locker has a padlock on it .. so ppl are allowed to hold lockers overnight now? That's bad practice if it's being allowed to happen .. sad .. I really liked this gym and the staff are cool here too

Fantastic experience: Great Pure Gym, Probably the best one. Lots of machines, connected to the tube, it doesn’t smell, although I wish the toilets were bigger. It’s clean and for some reason the people who use the gym are friendly

Fantastic experience: Great gym, huge range of weights machines and activities and right within the station so easy to get to. Doesn't have different floors but has plenty so there's rarely a queue even when it's busy. Highly recommend. Good staff too

Positive experience: Cons: terribly hot, stuffy and poorly ventilated male changing rooms. There is only ONE air/fan unit in the male changing rooms and majority if the time it feels as if it is pumping hot air into the room. That coupled with the extremely hot steamy water from the showers, poor/weak shower extractor fans makes for an unbearable changing room. Quite often you find yourself just as sweaty after a shower as you were during your workout. Further evidence in the poor planning of this gym can also be seen by the black/dark stains on the ceiling near the vent, something I would not expect from a gym that is quite new. I switched to this gym because the London Wall branch was also too hot due to faulty air conditioning units (there is a pattern here, these basement puregym are not equipped with proper air units). I have had to go back to the London Wall gym, not because the fixed their air conditioning issue, but because they were wise enough to put out extra fans along the gym floor and in the changing rooms. My advice/request from PureGym is that they lower the water temperature to prevent the Monument and London Wall changing rooms steaming up and fix the weak air vents/units. Pros: spacious gym floor, gym floor and equipment is very clean, multiple squat racks, power lifting stations, benches and dumbbells, great location, decent music, 24hr city gym.

Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Positive experience: Really like this gym but something has to be done about people using the lockers when they are not actually there. It was very difficult to find an actual empty locker this morning and there was only 10 people in the gym at the time!

Fantastic experience: One of the best puregyms in London, huge array of resistance machines, racks, benches and weights upto 50kg. Props to the team!
