Positive experience: Nice place but doesn’t have all the equipment you need for a full body workout..

Negative experience: Every evening there seems to be a re-occurring issue of toilet rolls not being replaced in the ladies changing rooms. This should be done more often as people who come into the gym later come into unhygienic conditions. It’s an good gym over all with good equipment, but the hygiene and cleaning needs to be way better.

Negative experience: No AC, stinks all the time! Treadmills are broken and noisy, bunch of kids playing football upstair in studio no staff say anything to them.

Negative experience: I used to go to PureGym regent street every day. Unfortunately I need to downgrade my rate and change gym. I stopped using this gym for few months and went back just recently as I love the fact that they have a ladies only area. Unfortunately the bathroom was extremely dirty, the ladies area was a mess, changing aerea was dirty. It really got worst. Such a shame because it used to be my favourite gym.

Positive experience: I have been taking personal training with Masoumeh coming up to two years now. She is very patient, and pushes me that bit more, and has tailored my program to suit my needs. I not only feel fitter now, but feel and look much healthier, and have much energy. She has taken me to heights in fitness, I never thought I had in me, thank you Masoumeh!!!

Positive experience: It's well equipped and has a nice layout (different spaces depending on the type of workout you are going to do, with a big studio space). However, same as most gyms, the accessibility for people with sensory needs is not great. Music is not so loud and good noise cancelling phones will do the trick, but the lights are extremely white and bright. Very unaccessible for those that struggle with sensory needs. Very good experience so far with the staff.

Negative experience: Went to this gym last night as I’m working away in Leeds one of the worst pure gyms i have been too Wish I had read the reviews first No air con No disinfectant to clean equipment after using it Smells terrible Running machines extremely old models

Negative experience: This gym would be really good if it just had some more equipments in the women’s like a big shock was no hip abduction as i feel like most gyms have this and also a hip thrust machine is a must! Which is a shame because this gym is most convenient for me

Positive experience: Always people in exercising or on way into Gym. Its as popular as the one in Kirkstall Bridge Gym. I would like to have used the facilities myself but l am disabled.

Negative experience: I wish I could give zero stars.it’s horrible gym a lot wired people in there . Last night somebody stole my jacket which is I paid around 300£ and also some money inside jacket when I ask to check camer they wasn’t helpful and said unfortunately we can’t anything that so bad so guys be careful don’t come to that gym

Negative experience: This gym should add more mirrors because it's not enough for one busy place like it gym mean mirrors , gym has no enough stuff To look after the gym, gent room smells Disgusting not clean at all , hopefully take it seriously.

Negative experience: No adequate ventilation , smells awful all the time , any time any day. There is a female only training area but yet i find guys entering the area few times grabing equipments without any notice , which causes distress to hijabi women who are not fully dressed.

Negative experience: I wouldn't join. Gym is fine, I've been going for two months and it's alright, nothing special. But if you miss a payment or try to cancel your membership you get met with ridiculous exploitative charges and they make cancellation almost impossible. I regret joining so much. There's a new independent gym down the street, hopefully there's a less corporate and grimey vibe there.

Fantastic experience: Ive being a pure gym member for several years. I joined regent street when i moved to Leeds when it was newly opened. Its a great location. I love the variety of classes and all the team are motivational and friendly.

Negative experience: Too Hot!!! treadmills displays are broken and makes noise when you run on them gives you headache... waste of time and money!

Fantastic experience: Had a great time at my first visit at the gym. Took part in a spin class instructed by Rob. He was very motivating and made it very enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: My PT is wonderful, She always has a smile on her face and is very encouraging. I feel good in this clean and excellent club with my PT, Masi, and I got good results.

Negative experience: Worst pure gym by a stretch seeing as there's such a lack of equipment tatty equipment that is, the water from the showers stinks and well just not much in comparison to the others in Leeds. Will be the last time I visit unless as a last resort.

Negative experience: Even though this gym is far from where I live, I come here for the ladies section only because I want to be comfortable while doing my workout and wear light gym gear. In the past two weeks I noticed that male trainers come in & out of the ladies section for unnecessary reasons, they scan the place, take equipment & chat with some ladies for a few minutes before leaving!! It does not make sense to me, I had to cut my work out sessions and leave because of them at least twice which is unfair. I really hope that male trainers stop coming to the ladies section.

Negative experience: This is a weird gym for a woman. On the one side there’s a women’s only section which is absolutely great if you don’t feel comfortable working out around men. However if you do go upstairs where there is a wider range of equipment it is literally only men and you will completely stick out. This is the only gym I’ve been to where I’ve had men come to me to correct my form or try to give me unwanted advice, would they do that to other men in there no probably not. I think the issue is that because there’s a women’s only section it’s almost as though your expected to go there hence why upstairs is almost only men. It is definitely a big shock for me coming here having gone to the city centre gyms however the free parking is main reason I will continue coming. Note to women that feel uncomfortable here: You have paid the same amount as everyone else so you have the same right as everyone else to use any part the gym you want to

Negative experience: One of the poorest puregyms I've been to. Alot of equipment out of action, free weight area free indeed, they'd all escaped and were all over the floor!!! No one around whilst gym was busy, and some nasty smells in the changing rooms. Only came here because it had car parking at least that was free.

Positive experience: great

Negative experience: The sanitising stations have been removed from this gym. You can no longer wipe down equipment before or after use. This has always been the dirtiest PureGym I've been to, but it's never been as bad as it is right now. I've caught COVID here before even when safeguards have been in place, I'd rather avoid it until these safeguards are restored.

Fantastic experience: Big and spacious gym. Great cleanliness at the place (toilets, showers, changing rooms) great machines and whole equipment. Very helpful staff ☺️

Positive experience: I love the women section however, I feel it would benefit having heavier dumbells, a squatting rack and a glute builder machine.

Negative experience: This gym was supposed to be a 24/7 gym but they have abruptly decided to change the opening times of the gym, creating a great inconvenience for people that require extra flexibility so they are able visit the gym during off peak hours, especially on the weekend (gym now closes at 8pm).

Negative experience: Anybody looking at reviews and considering joining this gym dont bother. If you look at every bad review regaring no air conditioning it being a sweat box and the changing rooms smelling terrible its all true and no matter how many times it is reported it isnt rectified. Not to mention the fact the opening hours have changed so it doesnt open 24hrs meaning it even busier hotter messier and more smelly than ever before. If equipment is slightly broken no body dare mention it as it will be out of use for months. A gym forgotten by pure gym whilst they still continue to collect from people...

Positive experience: Excellent value membership options. Plenty of equipment. Easy parking. I only use off peak so can’t comment on how it is peak period.

Negative experience: I have been a member on and off at this gym since it opened. Initially everything was fine classes were buzzing instructors were great, but I have watched it steadily go downhill. I know the cost of living has increased but we are still paying the same money for less at the moment 1) Televisions have been turned off- I never really watched them but they provided a focus when on the treadmill and working out upstairs. 2) Machines constantly out of order for long periods of time. 3) Final straw …. Changes to opening times, the whole purpose of this gym is to be 24/7 not anymore. I work shifts and although I don’t use the gym much in the evenings I do once in a while and to be limited to 10pm during the week and 8pm on weekends (really) is nonsensical. I don’t recall being consulted as a member. Not happy pure gym!

Negative experience: Changing the opening hours from 24hrs to 6am-10pm then 8am-8pm on weekends is not okay. I need to find a new gym now because I can’t go before work anymore and the city Center is far and no parking. Ridiculous! You’ll lose a lot of members

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank all of the pure gym fitness team, who have made my time at this pure gym a joy to come to, all staff are really kind and friendly, a special thank you to massi for all her help and support that she has given me this year, she has helped me when i even didnt know the basics you have really boosted my confidence which I will never forget, thank you all for your support in 2022, and I'm looking forward for the new year, happy new year to every1 at pure gym

Negative experience: The changing rooms smell really bad. Equipment takes months to repair. the staff are not friendly they look like they are going to cry. Also they haven’t used A/C for months not much air also no windows. They treadmill are very sweaty a dusty.

Fantastic experience: Great Technology implemented!!

Positive experience: Equipment needs updating as does the flooring... A bit scruffy and would benefit from a general refurbishment. In terms of what's lacking, it would definitely benefit from a boxing bag or two.

Positive experience: Clean and staffed. However, the aircon and the TVs seem to be off every time I go recently so I don't know if they're broken or staff haven't turned them on

Fantastic experience: One of my favourite Puregyms that I've been to so far. It's huge and has it's own woman-only workout space with equipment and runs regular women-only classes which is really great. There is a large variety of equipment (although I wish they'd change the Jordan plate weights as they are too big to comfortably hold if you have smaller hands!) The class sizes are large, there's a varied schedule and a good turn-out which means the classes are always running. I just wish the class area had doors rather instructors having to put up the banners - a man wandered into the ladies only class I was on once to get some weights! I really recommend Liam's Step Class and Brendan's Legs, Bums & Tums and Pump. It was also nice to have the instructors use the microphones which hasn't happened at any of the other Puregyms I've been to and meant I could hear the instructions really well.

Negative experience: Real shame. This gym has just got worse and worse over the past 18 months. I use this gym on the weekends and evenings as it’s closer to home. Today was the last straw of it getting worse. Upholstery ripped everywhere, machines out of action for weeks at a time (matrix have a 48 hour call out) Hit and miss if the music is actually on. But today it was upwards of 40oC in the gym and the young pt just shrugged his shoulders and went yea it’s like a sauna and walked off. Really due a few good members of staff to sort it out.

Fantastic experience: This gym is excellent for everyone, regardless of your abilities. The gym manager is very friendly and helpful. The staff team always make sure the cleanliness is maintained throughout the gym. The club has a lot of classes, from body pump to Zumba. Definitely value for money. I highly recommend this club to everyone in Leeds.

Negative experience: Downgraded to 2 since last review due to the following: Dumbbells and machines desperately need a wipe down. Make one mistake and easy to get conjunctivitis after touching the barbells and dumbbells. Gym used to be much better looked after. Think there was a change in management in the last couple years. Gym goers leave empty bottles, chewing gum and rubbish everywhere despite bins available. Hostile environment with gym goers sat on dumbbell racks or working out an inch away from them, manager clearly saw this and did nothing. Needs a bit more machines (bicep curl, hack squat and decline bench press). Weights are all over the place... Good luck finding them. Also not enough bars or handles for the cables. They probably keep getting stolen but no measures put in place to prevent this

Positive experience: Toilets disgusting a couple of places there was no hand cleanser, and didn't look like there had been for a while. But had a good training session

Negative experience: Just to clarify the actual gym is fine, everything what you can expect from Pure brand. However, you have to be really really careful around the area where the gym is based. My car was broken into on the actual gym car park. There is one CCTV camera overlooking the car park but it only captures around 25% of the area and on my occasion there was no actual video of the incident so I cannot even see who these thieves were. This happened around 8pm so it wasnt even full dark. Please keep your valuables safe be careful as there are some really dodgy people in the area.

Negative experience: Get told off for being spotted on the bench by somebody from my own household, but then the people who work at the gym stand right next to each other and talk, don't wipe down where they've been sat, half of them don't wear masks but apparently someone who's from my own house can't help me on a set. Makes total sense

Fantastic experience: The best gym with the friendliest staff and cleanest gym always sanitized. The people in general who work out there are friendly aswell and it's a joy to work out there

Positive experience: I love that it has a women’s only section but the gym is on the small side

Negative experience: Only about 20% of people used a mask while moving around and there were some people blatantly breaking the social distancing in plain view of the managyer and nothing was said to them. When I cleaned the barbell I was going to use visible dirt came off on the wipe so that's a bit worrying thinking about what invisible viruses are on the equipment. Also to echo the other review its awful my membership has been resumed while I haven't felt comfortable coming to the gym, especially to protect vulnerable loved ones. Fortunately I get paid enough to find a gym that considers its customers more once this membership ends.

Negative experience: I can't believe Pure Gym have taken money out of my bank account without reminding me of my freeze period coming to an end. Its hard enough managing through these financially hard times without having money taken from your account unexpectedly. I have now cancelled my membership with you and will i join another gym when I feel comfortable going back training. I am really shocked and annoyed at Pure Gym for this underhand tactics as they email you about everything else. You have lost a loyal customer and I will not be recommending your gym to any of my friends or family.

Positive experience: Good gym, good price and does what it needs to do. Feels much smaller though with all the new restrictions so can be tricky to get machines during busy times

Negative experience: In the ladies area there is no enough equipment to do exercises for all the body. Almost of the equipment in the second floor I feel shy to do exercises around agroup of men. It's not fair we don't have a same equipment in ladies area..
