"Thank you so so much for being so thorough in your assessment. Charlotte spoke with Ipswich Hospital and arranged for me to go to SAU where I was promptly seen and underwent tests and scans. The consultant said that it was a very good call on their behalf after seeing the scans Thank you!"
"The AHPS Physiotherapy service in Suffolk is by far the best provider of health services in the area. It allows easy access for patients and provides a comprehensive range of treatments. AHP Suffolk, Riverside Clinic: Opinions
Positive experience: Much better option than hosp - free parking and waiting time much less- it's not a glamorous place but it does what it says on the box
Fantastic experience: Podiatry staff are so amazing. They are patient and nice
Fantastic experience: Quick to be seen
Negative experience: So inefficient and wanting patient to undertake admin for them rather than use referral confirmations from specialists. And, suggested NHS physios can't be trusted to have accurately diagnosed!. Most unprofessional!
Positive experience: The physio insae was very friendly and helpful
Fantastic experience: I called 111onsunday and they got me an emergency out of hours appointment. The doctor who saw me -Ahmed, absolutely fantastic gp! Listened to all my concerns, and listened to my chest and also suggested to do the asthma check. I have been asking my surgery to do the check for ages, and it was always brushed off. Dr. Ahmed really cares about his patients and I have left heard, understood and treated well.
Negative experience: went for my son, 111 and receptionist were lovely but the lady seen at riverside was horrible. i was letting her know my baby’s symptoms from the week as my gp had been useless about identifying an ear infection, and she said that was usurless for her to hear, just before i came in my son had two different temps in each ear she then replied to me saying “ok what do you want me to say to that or do about it” unfortunately that wasn’t even all, she then said “do you often leave your son in dirty clothes” all because he had a bit of yogurt before we left as he wasn’t eating much and ended spitting a little bit out so wouldn’t recommend to be honest the lady was so horrible and gave me dirty looks and made me feel ashamed the whole appointment
Fantastic experience: I was seen very quickly and advised to go to A&E after an initial assessment
Positive experience: Friendly staff and no waiting around if you can get referred here do it,
Fantastic experience: Awesome place , very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Providing outstanding healthcare across
Fantastic experience: I took my little girl there at 1am in the morning with a middle ear infection , the out of hours GP and the guy at reception were absolutely brilliant treated my daughter straight away didn't have to wait . First class service .
Positive experience: Does have a car park it is a small one. Staff were friendly enough. Good size waiting room.
Fantastic experience: Thank you for all the staff and doctors who helped me out of hours, even after my appointment was cancelled due to doctor going sick they still saw me and got me the treatment needed, a credit to the service
Fantastic experience: Very good service.
Positive experience: Only took my daughter there for a scan. She was full of praise.
Positive experience: Standard physio appointment, clean setting throughout. Staff friendly
Negative experience: Tried to book my wife in for self referral and still unsuccessful. After sending me an email with link attached to complete my referal i tried to log in with link given to me by email only to be told invalid email address. Frustrating or what ??
Negative experience: Am asked to register which I did and when I tried to log in. It tells me the email is not a proper email!
Positive experience: I've so far had a fantastic experience here. The physiotherapist I'm working with is understanding, patient and gentle. Only criticism is that after referral they said I would hear within a couple of days, but a couple of weeks went by and I didn't hear - however after chasing they were quick to sort it.
Fantastic experience: Very efficient, clean, well staffed and professional.
Fantastic experience: Good but hard because they were so opposed to me having an operation on my hips.
Fantastic experience: Friendly and professional service
Positive experience: Have to question myself with this whole confidential procedure. On arrival shout out your name and date of birth to a person on reception...while other patients are sitting in close proximity....
Fantastic experience: Their motto is " if you can be anything you want to be ....Be Kind ! They live up to that motto and are very kind and friendly...just what you need when you have a physical problem.
Positive experience: Very professional and given good advice plus forms for blood test
Fantastic experience: Very good manner is great Good experience
Fantastic experience: Plenty of room and easy access to entrance
Positive experience: Parking OK, but entering and leaving the grounds was made a little perilous by the roadworks outside. Reception spacious and safe, with supplies of sanitising fluid easily available, but noticed at least one patient waiting who was not wearing a mask. Were seen quite promptly by a most courteous and interested medical practitioner.
Fantastic experience: No waiting, polite staff, physio know what he is doing
Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful professional
Fantastic experience: This was a really interesting to me as a NHS private contractor myself ( optician , most opticians have a contract to supply NHS sight tests ; and this clinic is a private contractor to the NHS ). I had been feeling unwell for a few weeks and had had a phone call with my own surgery . Then on Sunday I used 111 online because I just couldn’t see an end to how I felt . The whole process was wonderful . Patient , knowledgeable, capable and pleasant people called me and arranged everything . I then saw Namisa ( I hope that is the correct spelling ) a nurse practitioner who was superb . She listened attentively and I think had an inkling of what it might be and went to work with a good old school methodical examination . Ears then chest . And really taking lots of time on the chest . She called it . Pneumonia she said and the treatment is 500 mg Amoxicillin three times a day for seven days . For two and a half weeks I was unable to work . Two hours after the first pill I could feel I was getting better . Today ( Monday , the next morning ) I am ready for a very busy week . Of course I am proud of the NHS however I got the impression that this private contractor has recruited top people , paid them well I suspect and also perhaps they get to chose the days and hours they work . They all seemed so refreshed and refreshing . The only judgment I make here is on the quality of service which was excellent . It does raise a question of whether we as a population might need to accept that we should eat less, drive less expensive cars and work a lot more productively so we can pay lots more to greet people for our excellent healthcare . Personally I would rather they had more more money so they can keep doing the vitally important job they do for us .
Fantastic experience: Excellent access & parking for my out of hours physio appointment.
Fantastic experience: Considering they're an NHS funded service the staff at the Riverside Clinic do a stellar job. Was given superb physiotherapy treatment and advice. Staff are very friendly.
Fantastic experience: Well organised. Great staff. Car parking can be difficult as small car park, but free.
Positive experience: I have been here many times but not since 2020. Its situated town end of Landseer Road pretty much opposite Clapgate Lane turn off. You can get bloods done there although as I recall you do have to book and stand down a narrow corridor most of the time, reception /seating area is very limited. In the larger waiting area (main reception area) Physio appointments and physio gym. The gym or gyms are situated upstairs no good to people who go there with mobility issues. Staff are nice and friendly.
Fantastic experience: Great service
Fantastic experience: Good range of free parking with good accessibility for disabled drivers. Helpful and friendly staff from the receptionists and the physio therapists.
Negative experience: Scruffy facility with an awfully access for both vehicles and even worse for pedestrians. Very displeased with the practitioners I have seen there too.
Fantastic experience: Professional service.Friendly and polite.I am happy.I feel like going back there. Thanks a lot
Positive experience: Easy parking, nice people. Facility really dated though - and the blood tests are now further up Landseer Rd.
Positive experience: Not too busy clinic. Quick service. No crowd at all. Inspite of all this I don't know why we have to wait for 2months to get an appointment!
Negative experience: A helpful nurse wrote a prescription. Unfortuneately the room where the consultation was given was without any ventilation and enclosed, with patient after patient walking in and out without adequate PPE. The nurse too wore a flimsy blue "medical mask" of which the purpose is only to stop larger "droplets" (spits and sneezes) and only acts as a one-way *barrier*. These masks are not designed to prevent smaller aerosol particles flowing through them and do not protect wearer nor those nearby from transmission of airborne viruses like Covid-19, TB, Measles and Chicken Pox. The UK is currently recording 45,000 cases per day and 1000 deaths per week. While the rest of the EU and many other places are recording 50x lower infection rates. Long Covid is now thought to be much more dangerous than originally thought, even in double vaxxed.
Fantastic experience: Thoroughly caring staff.Physio was brilliant
Fantastic experience: Very good as helped me with my injury to my shoulder, very good friendly staff good place to be if go there regards raymond
Fantastic experience: Excellent service from the moment I saw receptionist who made me feel very welcomed just waited 5 minutes then was called saw the physiotherapist who put me through a gruelling excise which had to be done then referred me on...
Negative experience: Not great left there at 12am feeling horrible
Positive experience: Hard to rate somewhere you visit when not well. The doors when closed bang so loud. On reception you had one friendly one not.
Fantastic experience: Very good quality service, got seen very quickly. Very helpful advice and support.
Positive experience: Clean and covid secure. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and despite them being obviously busy they never rush me .
Negative experience: Referred here as my own doctor was unable to offer me an appointment. Visit on a Saturday was for a doctor to check an open wound on my arm. The doctor looked at my bandaged arm, informed me that as he had no dressings he wouldn't be able to do anything and to call my doctor on Monday to arrange an appointment with a Nurse to have the wound checked, cleaned and dressed. My doctors surgery made an appointment with a Nurse at Riverside which was subsequently cancelled 'due to unforseen circumstances' My own doctors surgery were unable to offer anything else so I have been administering diy first aid. Just have to hope that the wound heals!
Negative experience: Clinician fine..altho not believed. Took 3/4 hour to get into building as receptionists did not answer my call or text i had arrived using number supplied and that i was to call first. I was feeling unwell so made evert.ything worse. Didnt care it caused distress.
Negative experience: Did not get the help and assistance required
Positive experience: Good services. The physio gym has just reopened. The car park is easy to get into but be aware that leaving the car park you have to sharp turn to the right to get back onto the main road which isn't entirely clear whilst driving.
Fantastic experience: Attended this clinic for both physio and an ultrasound. Professional staff and high standards. I felt cared for and listened to by all staff members I spoke to.
Fantastic experience: Friendly and professional. Mrs. Susan Robinson's care and attention was first class and very much appreciated. Many thanks Jack Parkinson.
Positive experience: Clean, efficient and nice enough staff
Positive experience: Social distancing put in place; must be very difficult for staff . Very grateful for physio support, not the same on the phone!
Negative experience: Receptionists are rude and did not help when I was lost even though I had asked. They were very rude and showing a lot of attitude.
Fantastic experience: Always helpful staff whatever you attend for.Usually ample parking now.Appointments on time and seating socially distances.Easy to access by bus.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and good location
Positive experience: No longer having to wait too long for minor injuries. This place is easy to get to however the parking and entrance is restricting.
Negative experience: Usually OK but last visit seen by very very rude staff Inc Dr Prescription given and sent to pharmacy that was closed Took over an hour to get sorted and sent to open pharmacy Such poor service that we are going to make a formal complaint to NHS Location and parking ok
Fantastic experience: Physio Matt is great. Nothing is too much trouble to sort out management of your condition
Fantastic experience: Very good
Positive experience: Was good with my husband when I dropped him off. Although there was a sign outside stating someone will call my husband before going in. Nobody called him so he just buzzed
Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff and Drs. Quite a busy place!
Fantastic experience: I turn up, on time at sat down for 1 minute and my appointment was on time. Very satisfied. Thank you Riverside staff.
Fantastic experience: Mostly better wait times than A&E
Fantastic experience: I went for a scan girls where great
Fantastic experience: Physiotherapy self referral: I received a 5 star service. Thank you very much
Fantastic experience: Good service would be nice if the drivers if the doctors on call cars didn't take up ALL the disabled parking
Fantastic experience: Had to come here as an emergency on a Sunday morning. Very covid safe. Great procedure to protect you ad much as possible. Fast service with polite and caring doctor. Very pleased with How was treated. Shame my own doctors surgery are not as efficiant. One week later still waiting for a scan and nothing happening and on phoneing the hospital Aparently my doctor had not filled the request form in correctly so has left me over a week in agony with kidney stones one can only hope what goes around comes around......
Negative experience: Told my partner she had been referred to BANS then found out three weeks later that referral had only been done less than 24hours ago despite being in agonising pain. No care for the patient. Honestly believe physio is a waste of time.
Fantastic experience: Professional but friendly physiotheraphy support. Well organised, good timekeeping and quality service. Reception efficient and accessible too. A set up which encourages quiet confidence. Really impressive. Parking not usually an issue since phlebotomy was moved elsewhere.
Positive experience: Staff were great
Fantastic experience: Very good doctor, compare to derby road as the doctor listen to the symptoms but prescribed worthless pain tablet which you can get in any normal superstore after severe pain, Derby doctor surgery..nor the ambulance gave good advice, only AHP Riverside, adviced and prescribed correct tables Within 2 days they worked that's what counts! We so greatful for that!
Fantastic experience: Excellent treatment and diagnosis
Positive experience: It's a clinic, there's not much to like as you're probably there for treatment for some ailment but at least here you tend to be seen at the time specified and treated well and with respect.
Fantastic experience: Helpful and friendly staff
Positive experience: I was referred by 111 so had an appointment to see a Dr. I was not seen til 20mins after my appointment time.
Positive experience: Attended the gym prior to my knee replacement helped me so much towards pre OP this helped my recovery - very knowledgeable staff
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and patient
Fantastic experience: Staff very helpful and very nice
Positive experience: Doctors was good and polite. Explained each and everything in details.
Positive experience: Nice place but parking is an issue. It has too many things going & you simply cannot park unless you're lucky! Otherwise great staff etc......
Positive experience: Very friendly and professional
Positive experience: Great overflow to the NHS. Good service quick response
Fantastic experience: Good service. Friendly doctor.
Negative experience: Arrived with terrible mastitis and a high fever. Our sat nav had taken us to the wrong 'riverside clinic' so we were 10 mins late. On arrival the receptionists wanted to argue about whether there was another clinic with same name- I had to remind them that this was perhaps not the time. Wouldn't give me anywhere to lie down and couldn't sit as in I'm so much pain with chills. Ended up lying on floor of surgery waiting room wrapped in a blanket, shaking for an hour. No medical staff cared or helped. When my husband (who was very worried about me and alarmed at this) complained receptionists were giggling and seemed to think situation was funny that we were both so upset. Just an awful experience
Fantastic experience: Good all round service.
Fantastic experience: It was helpful could do with longer
Fantastic experience: Brilliant service. Got to see a nurse practitioner on a Saturday. Appointment was on time. Nurse was thorough and diagnosed me. Great service. Highly recommend
Fantastic experience: Lovely out of hours surgery. Good with giving info for out of hours pharmacy too x
Fantastic experience: Went for physio seen quickly and efficiently well happy.
Fantastic experience: Lots of services going on
Fantastic experience: I was treated with utmost support and care despite receiving not good news. Gary scope physiotherapist was wonderful very caring. Receptionists very friendly too.
Fantastic experience: Good prompt service
Fantastic experience: Best physiotherapy clinic! The doctors are nice and very caring. Trying to resolve the problems as best as they can without a wasting time.
Fantastic experience: Great place to go if you have back Paine
