Negative experience: This gym would be so much better if they taught their younger members gym etiquette. Usually large groups of teens on their phones, you are waiting ages for machines. I totally understand using your phone between sets, but if multiple people are using 1 machine, there should always be someone using it. Sucks cause its got great equipment if you can actually use it.

Negative experience: The early morning classes are great. However the gym frequently has a broken AC, Functional Area is really dusty, med ball slam lifts a cloud of dust, and more recently the hand sanitizer dispenser was removed. Hygiene is not a priority.

Positive experience: Probably one of the cleaner pure gyms I've been to with well kept equipment. It's quite a small space though so it gets busy and machines are limiting

Negative experience: Dirty, the roof leaked a long time ago and still they randomly have people in to fix it and paint over it, but they don't mop the floor aftwer wards and it feels dirty. I can see bit's of paint or grout on the floor. Plus the whole gym smells because they don't put the aircon on and it's hard to breathe because it's so stuffy. Also it's extremely busy with schoolkids, are they all over 16? A lot look younger, they come in straight from school in their uniform, I can't believe they are all in their last year of school. It's like an after school club. The only good things are the price, no induction fee and cancel any time.

Positive experience: Clean and tidy but a bit smaller than most the pure gyms or gym group venues I normally visit, there was less machines for a back session than most places I go too especially as one was out of order. Team member I spoke to was friendly though and the gym had a good atmosphere but at £9 for a session I think it's overpriced. I appreciate there is monthly deals but I probably hit a puregym twice a month due to not having a local option. Parking was available very close and was free after 6pm.

Fantastic experience: I've been training here for 3 years. I am always feel welcomed. The staff are super, with them I achieve my goals and set new ones. Thank you guys to help me. Gym area and toilets are super clean - big thank you for the cleaner Charly. Big enough room and equipment. And people who come are friendly. For today is the best gym in East-Grinstead for me, as in 15 years I have been visited many.
Fantastic experience: I've been training here for 1.5 years. Gym area and toilets are super clean - huge thank you for the cleaner guy. I'm a powerlifter and I have had no problems at all. Big enough room and equipment. Only negative thing is: maybe a proper powerlifting bar would be amazing (not the rolling and rotating olympic weightlifting bars with 2 grip marks - they're not great for bench press.)

Fantastic experience: It was great. It was friendly, clean tidy. Had a great experience. I felt welcomed. Everything is all up to date and working which is great because some of the gyms I have been to always have broken machines and no availability and look like they where made in the 1960.

Fantastic experience: Been visiting family and friends in E.G over last month so been regular visitors to E.G PureGym to keep off the extra food and drink calories from constant dining out. We've found the Metcon and circuits and classes in the small functional area some of the best classes We've ever attended. The gym is also kept really clean by the full time cleaner and I've been impressed with how clean the showers and toilets are after he's cleaned them. I've also seen instructors/managers using paper towels to dry the shower room floors between use. Overall a great little gym with a fantastic staff team.

Fantastic experience: The gym is always very clean and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. My only issue when going to the gym is a lot of younger people sit at the weights not using them, but on their phones preventing others from using them. Some equipment don't get to use as often time limited with school pick up.

Negative experience: Avoid Puregym East Grinstead. There was no "pin abuse" only staffs did not care about their customer. I paid full subscription with all the bells and whistles to get to go training four times a month with my friend but couldn't register his name. When we got there, there was nobody to help us with the registration. They can see that on the camera that I was going in to find a staff. Then next time finally found a staff who did help us to register. Never mind because next day Noel Leighton(!) suspended my pin code because "I took in someone else with me." as he saw that on the camera. Instead of asking me if he can help with the registration as I have the right to take someone in with myself, he banned me from the gym. Avoid puregym at any cost.

Negative experience: Too many teenagers that don’t understand how to workout, lots of goofing off and standing around chatting. The managers don’t stop it. It’s very clean and convenient but when it’s busy it’s filled with disrespectful kids. Not a place for anyone serious about fitness, unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, really kind and helpful. The place is always clean and it’s never too crowded (5pm-10pm). Good selection of classes and they are well led. Nice selection of machines as well and I have never had to wait for one. Other members are chill as well and it is a good atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, I tend to go very early in the morning when it's quiet, but it's clean with decent equipment. There are classes etc that I haven't used. I like the hand written motivational boards with goals and challenges, makes it feel like there is a personal touch in an otherwise sanitary space.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, welcoming and an all around great environment to be in. The ads do not lie. There are people of all ages and sizes and I do not feel judged whenever I go inside. There is a parking lot right across the street so no need to walk ages for a space.

Negative experience: Nice gym but very busy. Some of the antics in there remind me of Clubhouse gym at Royal Wharf in West Silvertown if you know what I mean boys ;)

Negative experience: No consideration for members whatsoever.. I have to split my workouts in two because is always extremely (and that doesn't do it justice) busy. I've tried various different hours with no success.. Very very small space, good equipment (if you can manage to get your hands on it) but that's it. They are very lucky to be in such a small town and people don't have any good choices. Shame.

Negative experience: Walked in and walked straight out… No parking. Long, thin, cramped dingy work space with bare plywood walls… the plywood has been thrown up to make two mixed changing cubicles that look like they were put up by a mate in a hurry on his lunch break. Totally inadequate changing facilities and about 3 mixed use toilets . One of the worst PureGyms I’ve been to.

Negative experience: Typical PureGym experience. No atmosphere, lack of knowledge staff/PTs, basic kit and pretty poorly run. It's a shame that gyms like Bulldogs/TGM were effectively driven out of business by these cynical big chains. PureGym may be convenient, but they are the Wetherspoons of the fitness industry.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member since opening on and off the manger at the gym is very knowledgeable and helpful I managed to speak to him today regarding my goals he was very helpful and Gave Me a lot of pointers when I haven't been a member there I've tried other gyms in the area yes you don't have luxury's off swimming pool, steam room ect but the gym is always clean with changing cubicles and private shower and toilet Room i feel more comfortable at pure gym then any of the others in the area keep up the great work

Positive experience: Great gym. Lots of varied machines and weights. Cardio machines only make up about a third of the equipment, the rest is strength training... Which was what I was after. Good stuff.

Fantastic experience: Just editing to add comments as a great gym. convenient for me as although a town Central location and you need to pay for parking in the local carpark. If you are an early riser like me its free before a certain time so that's ok for me. The gym itself is clean, staff seem very nice - not had much interaction other than my PT who is excellent. Loads of cleaning stations for keeping things safe during the current situation, lots of equipment and well spaced out again for the current time. Plenty of loos, showers (both clean and well maintained) and lockers etc although most of the regular size locker locks are busted so can't use them and just have to squeeze things in the mini ones. Been super busy lately even at 5:30am but still can find space/ equipment to do things. Been very glad to have this place to help me get back to the gym after lockdown

Negative experience: These 5 stars comments make me smile. Probably these are new members or who have never been in another gym before. If I want to be kind I would give this gym 2 stars only. Middle range equipments and barbells are up to just 40 kg. There are leaking problems, which is a Health and Safety issue ( maybe they want to start aqua aerobics classes in the future ) and some of the staff are not too friendly or professional. This information has been passed to the gym manager already. Only positive thing is the opening time.

Fantastic experience: I sign in this gym 1 month ago.. Is brilliant but I think one think is missing... That machine wher you can measure you body fat but the rest is brilliant ❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: Really good gym, never over busy and enough equipment for all.
Fantastic experience: I use a lot of puregyms as I travel a lot for work and this is one of the better ones. I must say I do more Powerlifing movements if your cardio based then this gym might be a let down for you.

Positive experience: The gym is quite small as all the changing rooms they need to put something inside the shower rooms so you can hang your clothes up

We are always looking to improve our facilities where possible and will regularly review our sites. If you would like to discuss the layout of your gym or to include some shower hooks in more detail, your Gym Manager will be more than happy to catch up with you on this.
Positive experience: Tired this gym a few weeks ago. Bit smaller than Woking, but reasonable variety of equipment with everything that I needed. Liked the special area for lunges...the shower layout was especially good.
Positive experience: Cheap for what you get. All equipment for workout is here. It's middle range equipment in good condition. Machines, free weights up to 40kg. Changing room, lockers and shower access. could benefit from cleaning station as most equipment is dirty/sweaty , so wear gloves and take towel.

Positive experience: Very good value. classes are good and the place is clean. You get the usual bunch you'd expect in an inexpensive gym who chuck weights on the floor but overall a great gym experience for the money. Also the app is excellent and makes it stand out over similar local gyms

Positive experience: Good equipped well
Positive experience: I use 2 gyms the one in Wembley and this and to be honest prefer the East Grinstead branch staff are friendly compared to some gyms I have been to always ready with advice. It's a very well equipped gym
Fantastic experience: It's have everything you might need for the goal you want to reach. Its a step forward other gyms, you can easily join by the phone and get started in no time. This gym have option of non contact membership which was perfect for me that am visiting UK. The price is accessible and have a lot of classes.

Fantastic experience: A very welcoming gym with everything you need to work out on your own or in classes.
Positive experience: It's a great gym gets very very busy at times 70 odd people in a gym that size I'm sure is a health and safety / fire risk. It only has a very limited number of changing rooms. You also have to pay for parking during the day. Staff are very friendly and always clean and tidy and obviously open 24/7.

I'm afraid it's true our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Also, we do take fire safety very seriously and there is an upper limit on the number of memberships that could be sold here to comply with fire regulations. To make the most of the space where possible, though, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities, so please keep an eye out for updates. Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Great value, great equipment and great vibe!
Fantastic experience: Great range of equipment, and lots of it. Like any gym it can get extremely busy at peak times but beig 24 hour opening its very easy to work around that. PT's are all really helpful and friendly, especially Roger, his classes are great and he really gets involved.
