Fantastic experience: PureGym is clean and smart, the gym equipment is up to standard, they have enough parking area for cars, there is always an assist around on the ground incase we need help, I love everything about this gym ️‍♂️

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this gym for quite a few years. Sometimes it’s very clean and tidy and other times it’s a complete mess. The clock broke on the wall and it took them 3 months to replace. Turns out they did not even replace it and simply moved the clock from the spin area! Come on Pure Gym, You can do better.

Negative experience: Great when it opened.terrible now. Rope machine has been broken since October 2017 now January and still broken. Staff dont seem to bothered either.

Negative experience: Absolute hole. Weights and plates everywhere, changing room filthy and reeks of excrement, broken toilets and flooded urinals - possibly one of the worst pure gyms ever

Fantastic experience: Great place to train as it's open 24 hours a day and I only train from 02.00am. Clean equipment and changing areas

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym with great staff and a lovely friendly community. Everyone is welcome and its a comfortable environment to train in. Theres a wide variety of classes so something for everyone and the PTs know their stuff!

Positive experience: Has a good selection of equipment, good value for money & staff are friendly. Often painfully busy on weekday evenings, and a bit dirty - stuff on the floor, dust on machines.

Positive experience: Mostly fine, but often boiling and I’m not sure why they don’t crank the aircon on when sometimes it feels so humid. I get it’s on a set system but sometimes it’s so stuffy and all the windows are steamed up. Also think it’s a bit corny they have a prize scheme going if people give 5 star Google reviews - not very transparent

Fantastic experience: Even when the car park is full, you don't really have to wait for equipment and the place is always clean. What I like most is the fact that any music is kept very low so it doesn't stop people listening to what's on their phones. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: I like here. I've been coming for a few years. Sometimes it's clean, sometimes it's dirty. But overall I like it because it is not crowded, at least in the evenings.

Fantastic experience: Only recently joined but so far so good. The gym is surprisingly spacious with all the equipment you could need. It gets busy like any other gym and parking seems quite limited at times especially when there’s a class on, but most gyms are the same. Just waiting for the day I forget to put my car reg into the parking machine

Fantastic experience: Great gym, always friendly atmosphere with plenty of classes. All PT's are always visible, friendly and approachable especially Colin and Elham. Plenty of choice of equipment on both floors too.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, first timer in a Pure Gym but advanced and experienced gym goer. Lovely staff showed me round. Equipment all modern and large choice of free weights, machine weights and Cardio equipment. Large changing area with showers and everything was immaculately clean.

Fantastic experience: The gym is spacious and still has enough facilities at peak times. The staff team are great especially Carys who helped me with any enquiries I had.

Fantastic experience: The team is amazing here. Everybody is so welcoming, lovely and helpful. The gym is very clean including the changing room, which is always spotless. I love the new edition, the Sport vitamin water machine. The flavours are delicious. As for classes my favourite is the Spin class and no matter which team member holds this class it's always amazing. I highly recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Some old equipment but new equipment is very good. Very busy at peak times & limited parking and extremely limited disabled parking which is not enforced which leads to alot of abused parking.

Positive experience: The members seem to have a predilection for leaving the weights in random places. They have some music playing most of the time which is great but then they put classes on who's main purpose seems to be trying to deafen the class attendees, the result being 2 different music tracks playing at once, I have had to leave early several times due to that as I am autistic and 2 different music tracks at once is not pleasant. All that being said parking spaces are plentiful the gym gym is clean and there are lots of machines and free weights to choose from.

Negative experience: Increased the price without informing me so denied access. Both Stockport PureGym are the highest price point for members now, so if you're on the £27 a month all in, you won't be allowed here anymore

Positive experience: Small gym which can sometimes get extremely busy but clean and constantly upgrading equipment. Has a studio and "crossfit" aka functional area alongside the freeweights and cardio machines. For the price you can't really complain!

Positive experience: Good gym with varied equipment for different types of training needs. Gets very busy in the evenings in the weights room can be hard to get on equipment. Changing room is big and has nice showers, just wish they had a sauna. Other than that great gym with good facilities and at a decent price.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, the staff have all made me feel really welcome. I love the classes and the equipment is great. I was really nervous about going as its my 1st time at the gym but I can honestly say I feel so relaxed and love going to this gym.

Fantastic experience: Nice place. Everything you need you can find here. Overcrowded in the morning. Track when is the best time for you to go in the mobile application.

Positive experience: Why get rid of cleaning stations?

Negative experience: The equipment here is very poor investment is drastically needed. You will have to try a few machines sometimes to actually be able to work out. Mainly the rowing, running, and xtrainers are the rubbish units. I only go here as no other gym locally is open at the times I need to go.

Fantastic experience: Was pleasantly surprised by how good and big this gym is! Plenty of equipment, didn’t see anything broken, was clean and never too busy when I went. Staff are helpful too.

Positive experience: Good clean 24/7 gym. Great studio and spin area. Always been plenty of equipment available on my visits. This was the first visit in a while today and I did notice about 6 out of use machines but there were still plenty others to use however this was on a Sunday! I imagine that could be stressful for people if it gets very busy as peak times.

Fantastic experience: I'm absolutely loving coming here! I am usually gym shy and much prefer being up a hill on my bike but I've started needing more as I'm getting a big squashy as a lot of us have post lockdown.... I had an intro with Aaron and he put me totally at ease, he showed me how to use everything and showed me where to go for classes etc so I was ready when I came next time. Love the classes, everyone is so nice and the equipment is great quality. I ran my first 3k yesterday (peanuts to what some people can do) but I feel so good and so boosted to carry on! I'll be back again and again now I've taken that first scary step!!

Fantastic experience: First time back in ages and the new set up and look is great. Lots of equipment and very clean. Changing rooms are not so good. Need air fresheners please Doesn't smell to great and needs a deep clean

Positive experience: One of the better Pures. Never seems too busy and lots of kit. Parking system is a pain to remember sometimes and bit short on some handles for cable machines but a good gym

Fantastic experience: Handled COVID situation better than any world government has. Very impressed. Banging the fact it's 24/7. Toilets close at midnight tho so if you're going for a late night session, as I do, go to the toilet before you leave as there's nothing worse than getting caught slipping and needing a piss halfway through a set of Overhead shoulder press Excellent gym

Fantastic experience: Amazing facilities at an amazing price range. Always being cleaned no matter what time I have gone in. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I have been in quite few puregyms this by far the worse one, lack of personnel, many machines are not functioning properly (beside reporting some of them), dirty (to say it a nice way) specially the bathrooms and showers, when I reported this, they said it is not there job to clean the showers, lack of space, the machines are packed in away that there is no space between them, you really feel the breath and the sweat next you. There is a staff room where the bikes are where all the PTs hide, it 's so annoying the slam of the door every time they go in and out, this should be an independent training area not a corridor for the PTs. you hardly can see the manager, no one clean the machines comparing to what I saw in other gyms, I believe if the manager is not there to police this and be the leader everything will fell of. It 's really a shame because my experience with the other puregyms is very positive but I am afraid not with this one.

Negative experience: I joined this gym and I have to say that I am disappointed that I am paying so much money and my bike is getting wet while I am exercising because there is no roof over top of it. also it would be nice if the bike storage would be next to the main doors as it's safer and closer...

Positive experience: Seems busy although not really that many people there, choose your attendance time carefully, more than once I've arrived and left within 5 mins

Fantastic experience: friendly staff and all the equipment I need to build my confidence. ive spoken the manager a couple of times without realising it.. and she's really friendly and helpful. they are keeping ontop of cleaning and I feel pretty comfy here. during the winter another member needed quick assistance and the lads I alerted thanked me afterwards.

Fantastic experience: Popular Gym, can get busy at time so you have to wait around to get on the machines. There's always plenty of cleaning items to wipe down the machines after use. Plus there's a member of staff that goes round wiping the machines too.

Negative experience: Advertises open 24 hours on the website and face book but every time I go after midnight the sign on the door says temporarily closed.

Fantastic experience: Great amount of equipment, sometimes it's too busy but that isn't PureGym's fault, just have to go around peak times, then there's normally enough space and equipment to go around. Regular cleaning staff. Shame gym goers don't always clean after themselves drying covid but staff are always cleaning and restocking cleaning equipment

Fantastic experience: I joined PureGym 6 weeks ago and started having PT sessions twice a week with Darian. Having only dabbled in the gym once before, a rash new year - new me decision in 2017 which only lasted a few weeks, it's fair to say that the gym life is not one I'm accustomed to... or should I say WAS accustomed to! I never thought I'd be someone who had a PT or enjoyed working out but I look forward to my PT sessions and can't wait to get up at 5:30am to meet with Darian, learn, laugh and sweat! Darian is kind, patient, endlessly supportive, and passionate about PT and she fills me with confidence and encouragement every time we step out of the changing room. I've learnt more about fitness and nutrition than I could ever have imagined and my attitude to the gym has changed completely. My goals are monitored closely by Darian and I have built up real trust with her over the short time we have spent together. When we took my measurements after our first 3 weeks together, she actually had to take them twice because she couldn't believe the level of progress we had made! I can't recommend Darian more highly and PureGym Stockport as a whole has a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, plenty of equipment and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Pretty similar to other pure gyms

Positive experience: Can get quite busy depending on what time you go, can't review classes as I haven't done any.

Negative experience: Air con is terrible at this gym, parking terrible, layout terrible, staff terrible...PureGym customer services terrible, im done with PureGym. It gets stars because it is cheap and has weights that's about it. This is the only PureGym Ive never seen a cleaner or staff member cleaning the equipment aswell FACT. Theres better gyms out there for less that's the crazy bit. Some of the equipment on its last legs and free weights area is.......terrible!
