Fantastic experience: Good

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for 3 months now and from the moment Carl showed me around with such a warm welcome - I was sold! This place is not just fitness and wellness for me - it showcases the importance of community! After Covid, I went into cocoon for a bit and the weight piled on. Thanks to the gym and the OUTSTANDING class trainers (Sam, Debbie, Charmaine, Mel, Gemma, Jenny and all those I cannot remember!) - I have healthily and steadily lost 10kg! I feel great and I love attending! I can't comment on the pool as I have not attended that facility, but I have heard great things. I'm so glad I ditched my membership from those 'grey' gyms and and found my tribe at Lewsey! Well done to the whole team!

Positive experience: It looks a very good sports centre but I took someone to a eye appointment for NHS

Negative experience: Well what can u say most disappointing as I told manager so he told me he was, my child suffers with new experiences & new places waiting from Edwin lobo to give the diagnosis of autism.. I said to staff to help please & I didn’t receive it .. so therefore he got so anxious waiting.. ran out into the waiting area & screaming & shouting at me … no one cared or helped so he didn’t do the lesson @ now don’t want to go back …. A very distressing situation for all & observers were just looking in disgrace…

Fantastic experience: First visit.Went in had coffee in used Foyer. Very receptive Staff.

Negative experience: Management here have decided to let 12 year olds join so it has become a youth centre. Dont be surprised to see 5 teenagers trying to use one bench. Opening times are awful, closes 9pm on weekdays at 7:30pm on Friday and 4pm on the weekend. This is 2024, get with the times active luton! Is small but if opening times were better and only adults it would be ok, gets very busy at peak times so had to cancel membership. There are better alternatives available.

Negative experience: Really this one is the worse swimming pool I have been the water cold every time we use to go their the some problem! The changing room dirt !

Fantastic experience: It's the ideal place to get your head down and get in a good workout. Although it does have its busy times there is always something available to keep you moving. One of the trainers, Karl, deserves a special mention as he is very helpful, approachable and knowledgeable when it comes to using the equipment safely and effectively to optimise the benefit. It is so good that I am reluctant to write this review in the interest of keeping it a secret so as to not entice others to join but that wouldn't be fair ;) I highly recommend this establishment.

Positive experience: Modern, clean, friendly staff and coaches.. It'll be good to have more toilets though so that we don't have to keep going up a flight of stairs especially when already running late or in the middle of a class. Hence the 4 stars. Otherwise, great place

Fantastic experience: Staff are welcoming with respect and good manners. The PT’s are always there to help you train and help you with any exercise machines having problems. Lovely gym and spacious. Customers who are coming to train are very welcoming. Has disabled car park and even has a lift to go up in for the gym area. Gym equipment is very easy to use and the motion and weight of the equipment is perfect! Also has a shower and toilet in one room for the disabled people which is excellent Can’t go wrong with this gym.

Positive experience: Lovely park, great place for children and adults, to relax, destress and enjoy this lovely open green space.

Negative experience: Joined this gym last week & I must say the staff at the front desk are very unwelcoming. honestly seems like they do not want to be there. Just Seeing their faces puts me off going to the gym . during the sign up nothing was explained in terms of what my membership in tails. I’m contemplating cancelling and going back to my old gym. The gym is also very small and may find out it difficult to find equipment to use especially during peak period. I must say the staff upstairs in the gym are more welcoming.

Negative experience: Insufficient car parking bays. No proper guide/markings inside to find the halls for the classes hence, was late for a class I was attending 1st time. I kept walking up and down the hall way trying to find the hall. Other customers didn't know either. No staff available on the 1st floor for help. The women's changing room is absolutely disgusting. Smelly, stuffy, felt nauseas. If that wasn't enough then I often found a naked woman roaming around in the toilets changing area listening to music. Which was ... On one occasion I wasn't well and waited outside the class for the instructor to finish to let them know I wasn't feeling well. When I told the instructor I was feeling dizzy and nauseas. She asked me to go downstairs to the receptionist and tell them... ... Luckily there was other ladies just finished the same class, they offered me help by calling the manager upstairs and offered a drink as my sugar was low.. I don't know what to say about the instructor.... That's the only one who was not bothered at all... Other instructors are really good!

Positive experience: It's a good small gym, but slightly dependent on what time you go as to how busy - the cardio kit can get swallowed up by grannies on fitness programs on certain days, and there's a women only session on Wednesday lunchtimes. Good range of equipment, well maintained but often sticky as many of the (older) customers soak the machines in biospray before and after use. The music is naff - not the "pumping iron" gym music you expect but just breakfast or daytime radio for teenagers so BYO headphones.

Positive experience: I went with my school and it was OK but the only fing I didn't like was that whene they test you they put you in the small end an did is ant easy to swim there

Fantastic experience: Lewsey sports Park is partner with Lea manor sports centre. Having a joint membership I can use both gyms. There is free parking adjacent to the gym. Main entrance has a coffee shop with a reception. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The gym is on the 3rd floor access by stairs and lift. The front of the gym over looks the local park. Plenty of equipment and staff on site to assist with any questions. Equipment is clean and with cleaning materials to clean the equipment after use.

Positive experience: The pool temperature is cool, and there is often a cold draught blowing, but showers are warmer but could stay on for longer. Staff are friendly and helpful. Too many of the lockers are faulty and unusable.

Positive experience: I enjoy playing basketball at Lewsey park. More people show up there. This allows for teams and even making new friends

Fantastic experience: If the gym bores you....like it does me, then this place is great for classes (the gym is ok if you like it, small but well equipped). For example Zumba on sat mornings, hips, thighs, bums and tums mons and kettlercise tues fri and sun, burn calories and are great fun. The teachers are like having a personal trainer, so a bargain in comparison to an actual P.T! It works out with the monthly bill that I'm paying about £1 per class depending on the times I go per week of course. Plus I've actually sustained going for almost a year now, which is unheard of in my case. I'm a serial gym membership waster usually.

Negative experience: People live locally and pay full council tax should get some discount. So expensive that we are family of four and my kids cannot afford to go swimming. Shame Shame Shame. My wife and I work hard and can't afford to pay to kids out locally.

Fantastic experience: Looking for a perfect place for your little ones or yourself to learn to swim? A MUST READ !!! This swimming pool is just the place to be! We have lived in Luton fir 14years used several private swimming lessons centres and gyms only up to this year found spaces unavailable in our other pools which gave us the chance to look further for a place for our children to learn to swim but little did we know that not being at Lewsey swiming lessons was missing a whole life ! at this chance we are so grateful to this pleasant team who are trainers at the pool .very helpful in every way! Day 1 -We met very supportive staffs and they gave us very warm welcome . On arrival we had 2 adults helping my daughter get dressed ready to swim one putting her hat and another putting her armband. Right from Julie the receptionist, to the trainers-Tracy , Tony, Elsa, Hayley ,and more , Ciaran the life guard ,Gary the manager all very attentive to our need and very keen on customer satisfaction. The environment so clean pool and all working facilities which made me confident of my daughter’s safety as I realised they truly care to serve! Day2- we were late for the lesson and whilst we regret this my daughter being upset was not acceptable to this team they made sure she swam with an almost immediate decision from their great team management. I think for me this is the height of great care and a very unique customer experience.Sweetest of all is the fact that this is not just been a one off pretence from this great team but the experience is ongoing and such we are indeed very proud to be acquainted to such a great business . As it is being such a pleasure joining this pool. Now I’m sure it’s not too late for me to learn even at 40!!! Oops . I can trust the LEWSEY POOL team to support all the way !EXCELLENT swimming pool. Highly recommended ❤️

Positive experience: Great gym facilities, clean and well-maintained equipment. Great variety of fitness classes and you're always made to feel welcome by friendly staff with excellent working knowledge of the gym. I would give 4.5 stars if I could but not 5 because the 'cafe' is lovely but just a small area by reception and the membership rules about booking fitness classes needs some clarity when you need to cancel in an emergency. I cant find anything in terms and conditions.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Especially as it has just been refurbished (may 2018). Been going here for well over 3 years and the staff are great. They've helped me so much in hitting my goals. The personal trainers do an excellent job.

Positive experience: Well located sports centre pool nearby and affordable for the whole family great place to visit and take up membership.

Negative experience: Second review, sadly things have gone downhill recently. Costs for the squash courts have gone up significantly, and in addition you have to pass a 4 part equipment questionnaire when you arrive. In fairness white shoes is fair enough as it does mark the court, but nowhere has this recent change been listed on the website when you book and they may cancel your booking without refund if you turn up in the wrong kit (making an already struggling sport in the UK even more cliquey and inaccessible). Reception were fairly rude on the most recent visit too. We split our one and only ball on the last visit and they were extremely reluctant to loan a couple of the tens of "rescued" balls from the light fittings and other crevices throughout the court that they must retreive every now and then (one of which we certainly deposited there about 8 weeks ago and was no longer there), despite being very humble about the mistake. Shame that court-wise it's the best local facility otherwise would certainly try somewhere else. Please improve!

Negative experience: Went there with my four year old boy for leisure time and call them in advance to double check the time table and explain the receptionist that I have little kid with me she say it’s fine went there half pool was busy and I got the deepest part i ask receptionist how deep is that she said u would be able to stand . But it look really deep I went inside the pool my feet did not touch floor I would not be able to hold my boy and I don’t now how to swim i was scared not doing there again staff is no help

Fantastic experience: The swimming pool has been recently refurbished and is well maintained. The gym is not that big but very well equipped with some new equipment added and updated recently. There are always people in the gym but I've never seen it overcrowded and both staff and regulars are very friendly and helpful. There is also a variety of classes available, most of the instructors are really good. For me definitely worth membership and prices are very reasonble given the price to benefit/niceness/friendliness ratio.

Negative experience: I took my daughter and son for swimming and as soon as we were ready to enter the water I was refused because I had knee length shorts and according to their establishment that posed safety concerns. Swimming pools are not consistent with their rules and I found them very rude. Wouldn't ever visit again. Not Muslim friendly.

Negative experience: I really did not like the place start we're extremely rude abit racist and wanted to force an 8 year old to get into the pool really didn't like it as we were not getting any friendly help
