Kensington Leisure Centre: Opinions
Negative experience: I was very disappointed and upset today at my child's swimming lesson. He was told by the woman instructor to go to the next level. However, when he got there, he was left alone in the pool with no instruction. The younger man instructor was just standing at the other end of the pool looking at him and I could see my son was visibly upset. He is only 4 years old. I can see on other side wondering what’s happening then the woman instructor called my son to just go back to her. At the end of the session, I tried to ask another young man instructors, but she was very rude and abrupt. I trust the safety and well-being of my child to them, and they don't care at all. All this newbee or younger staff to this center has no care and they’re just there to show off and gossiping during swimming time not friendly, rude and not helpful at all, they think it’s just joke to teach children plus More shower is not working looks like no one care of this leisure center.
Negative experience: I rarely leave reviews but this had to be done, first off the equipment situation is a joke. There's hardly any to begin with, and what is there looks like it hasn't been updated since the '90s. Machine’s are constantly breaking down and they take ages to repair them. The lift has been out of use since I started going to the gym and I don’t think they have any plans to fix it anytime soon. The toilet’s are disgusting, the smell alone puts you off, on-top of that the water pressure is always too weak to flush so imagine what you have you deal with. Most of the toilets are broken and locked off so you always have a queue waiting to use the few that work during busy times. I have so much more to complain about but I’ll leave it here for now but If you're serious about your fitness or even just looking for a clean and functional place to work out, do yourself a favour and skip this gym. There are much better options out there that won't leave you feeling frustrated and grossed out.
Negative experience: I don’t understand why there is no info on the spa and sauna area, this a big part of the wet side, your closing time says 8pm but I have turned up at 7pm and it’s closed? Is there a water fountain? Are there deck chairs? Cold shower? It’s 2024 people not 1994
Negative experience: Went there with the little one, we had a booking for 13:00 to 13.50, but they’ve allowed us into the pool around 13.15-13.20 and around 13:45 they said they will close it. The booking was for 50 mins, and when I’ve told them, a rude guy said that the booking time is actually the time we can stay on the entire place, not the pool, although the booking refers specifically to the leisure pool. Very poor experience, wouldn’t recommend it!
Fantastic experience: Clean, well organised and large cafe area.
Positive experience: Wouldn’t give an ice pack
Fantastic experience: Fabulous leisure centre. Great value for money. Should be well looked after and hope they (the management) don't ruin it!
Negative experience: I wish to give them 0 star if I could. I booked a tennis court for my kids and when we came on site, the receptionist said it’s a double booking. If that’s true, why it’s bookable on better website? Completely time wasters!
Positive experience: Lift is always broken bur I love the spa experience
Fantastic experience: Great for all family
Negative experience: I went to the swimming pool with my friends yesterday. It's so dirty I'll never go back
Negative experience: I went to the swimming pool with my friends. Some people came and didn’t take a bath. They did not wash their bodies. They got into the water very dirty. I won't go again
Negative experience: I went to the swimming pool at Kensington Leisure Centre. Two or three people were together, they didn't take a bath, they didn't wash their bodies, they came into the water very dirty
Negative experience: I use the gym but I feel the miss management there.some machines are broken for the weeks and there no explanation for that.the men toilet is out of order this week and the gym is suffering from the lack of equipment and also not updated.overall it’s not worth for the payment.
Positive experience: The water is so good and once it gave me infection
Fantastic experience: A truly lovely, airy sports centre with great facilities in a lovely spot. A pleasure to take the children here
Positive experience: I use the gym. It's OK, adequate. Some of the equipment is outdated, I don't think the cardio section needs to be so large. But it's a friendly atmosphere.
Negative experience: Outdated gym equipment mostly out of use. Horrible design internal unsafe staircase and lack of canteen products and very limited choice
Negative experience: Better gym is a nice affordable gym which provides facilities however today when I first time being here the experience was not great. There is a particular Female changing and shower room, but there are some ladies who brought their boys here, I understand that situation however there is a lady who keeps using the only one shower room which has privacy and just left her boys there making other users cannot take a proper shower. Wish such thing can be improved, proving more shower room with privacy or being sensible that female room is only for female …..
Fantastic experience: Problem returning an item to the Library of Things and the Leisure Centre receptionist was soooo kind, helpful and capable. Put it in her office for me. Such a great impression of the staff!
Fantastic experience: Very nice facility, pools good for everyone, very clean and tidy, swim club.
Fantastic experience: Great place with many activities!
Fantastic experience: An excellent location for sport and leisure, just ten minutes from Portobello Road. There are three swimming pools, tennis courts, an excellent soft play for children up to 10 years, a gym, a spa. Inside, there is also a cafe with drinks and hot dishes, fruit juices, and ice creams. The prices are excellent.
Fantastic experience: Great facilities, very friendly staff. Soft play is great fun for my toddler and the cafe is perfect for lunch afterwards. Being able to access the gym pay as you go is great for me and it has a curved treadmill and a hex bar.
Negative experience: This is a review specifically for the swimming lessons for children, not the rest of the centre which I would rate more highly. The swimming lessons are in short, awful. My 5 year old can actually swim so I was hoping the lessons would help him improve, learn proper technique etc. I told the teachers this. The problem is there’s a different teacher every week and they would mostly just chuck a load of floaties in the pool and let the kids do whatever. Needless to say we took him and his friends out and moved them to another place after a term.
Fantastic experience: Went to try the spa today what a lovely day out. Lee who works in the spa area was very nice and helpful. The spa was very Clean and relaxing, I would highly recommend. Will be definitely going back..
Negative experience: Lovely place. Great staff. Major issue is the lift not working for the last 12months. Fed up asking & emailing about it. Our 14year old can’t walk unaided so needs a lift to get to Sunday morning trampolining. Incredibly tough for her navigating the stairs with people pushing past her. Fix the lift. Forgot … disability showers have also not worked properly for as long as I can remember. Disgraceful!!
Fantastic experience: Nice place had a friends party here for the kids
Fantastic experience: First time using the swimming pool here. Jeff and Tia stood out by being the friendliest front desk in the world.
Fantastic experience: First visit since before covid - very good all round experience of the renovated centre. General impression of cleanliness in changing areas and pools; main pool bright and at a good temperature for proper swimming (there are two separate smaller, warmer pools for families & small children). A special 10/10 note for Tia on reception who could not have been more friendly and helpful (while juggling many demands on her time) - top customer experience! [NB the centre is “cash-free”… but customers still need a £1 coin to use as a token for the lockers, as no actual tokens were available…]
Fantastic experience: Superb place and facilities!
Fantastic experience: Really nice hot and cold spa, friendly staff and clean facilities. Cheaper than most spas. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience: That staff make this place a pleasure, place has life soul
Fantastic experience: Rebekah is a very good therapist. I booked before with her and the service is beyond my expectations!
Fantastic experience: Well equipped center, two pools, one just for lane swimming and training....although it does get busy
Fantastic experience: The gym is cleaner than the most posh gyms in the area. Plenty of natural light, well ventilated and never overcrowded. Great diversity, people of all ages, levels of fitness, everyone so decent. I am grateful to Jeff who showed us around and convinced us to get the membership.
Positive experience: Play squash here regularly. The facility is well looked after and friendly staff. Book activities on the Better.org.uk website.
Fantastic experience: Great time at Kensington Centre for a Grappling Industries Jiu-Jitsu competition last weekend. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the event itself was very well organized. It was a fun day out for the whole family!
Fantastic experience: Lovely venue. Clean and the staff were very helpful
Fantastic experience: I love this place and as I am a local this my first pick whenever I want to go to the gym, swimming, massages and many more. The staff are extremely kind and very helpful especially when I first got introduced to how the bookings and services work. Also, throughout the whole building is very clean and hygienic for example the toilets are in really good condition. Also, the cafe was amazing with the food being good. Although it is hard to say a negative, in my opinion the food and services are a little bit overpriced, especially for renting the basketball courts. In conclusion, I really recommend coming to visit here either if you are looking for a sport session, massage or just to sit and relax in the cafe.
Negative experience: If you're wondering how bad it could be, it's much worse than you think. I found the pool area for my daughter's birthday party. The time allotted to us was 4-6 pm. We were ready, but they opened the door 15 minutes late, and when I asked, you had to come 15 minutes early. "There was another party, I was there," she said. Btw, when she came, she was very sullen and aggressive.she even scared the children. Then he said that children cannot enter the pool without an adult, the age limit is 8, most of the children will be 8 or almost 8, anyway, she then made the children swim from one end to the other in the huge pool to test it. She allowed the children she liked to swim, and separated the ones she didn't like and said, "You can't swim."I chased after her while she was doing this and I was trying to talk and she continued to be quite rude. Then one of us swam with the children. Our swimming time would be 1 hour, and the rest of the time we would eat food, cake etc. Their food service was so bad that beforehand they said they would give us one slice of pizza per child, but the pizza they brought was not a slice but a quarter slice. They divided 1 whole pizza among 10 children. We did the service ourselves (this is not important), the table had to be cleared and prepared to cut the cake after the meal, and we did this, and while we were doing all this, he did not show up even once. It took us 15 minutes to find a fork to eat the cake, we were never asked if we needed anything, they didn't do anything they were supposed to do. We still haven't figured out what it is that we're giving orange juice to. Everything was like garbage, I'm really ashamed of the people invited. The bad and rude service ruined our day. Everyone who comes thinks like me. Of course I will never choose it again. Finally, my advice to a working friend is to find another job that you will truly enjoy!
Fantastic experience: Situated next to Glenfell, this leisure centre provides a spa called Glam & Glow, l booked a de-stress massage, the spa was clean, the atmosphere was zen.
Negative experience: Unsanitary ladies changing rooms and the pool water is always dirty with things floating around and green build up on the pool floor
Positive experience: It was relaxing in the spa areas, the flavoured water and herbal tea was lovely touch. The only thing was the mass of a certain type of fly in the shower areas. they were in every cubicle and the communal area. Probably hard to get rid of, but not nice after coming out of some relaxation
Negative experience: Swimming lessons are absolutely terrible! You have a different teacher every time your child swims, we have been here for about 2 years and both my kids were able to swim before signing them up to swim but and have moved up 1 level after I complained several times. It's a money making trick to keep you paying month after month. Nearly all of the staff are extremely young to the point they just gossip and take no attention of the children, they have no management to over look them. My son in the main pool, has a brunette teacher who literally gossips with the other very young teacher who is a blonde girl, the entire lesson, they tell the children to get out of the pool, shivering, while they gossip to then give them instructions on how to dive in after a good 5 mins gossiping, I have heard about these 2 teachers from so many other parents, I have formally complained about them and so have many other parents, but still no change. You are better off spending your money elsewhere, you will save a lot more in the long run.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful elderly lady working in the reception. The basketball courts are decent as well as the gym
Fantastic experience: It was an amazing SPA experience, cheap and nice!
Positive experience: I had fun playing basketball there! It was an appealing place to play it there!
Negative experience: Please train your cafe staff to at least provide eye contact when serving a customer, instead of putting the card machine down wordlessly whilst holding conversation with their mates.
Negative experience: Arrived 9.30 for a swim when pool was meant to be open, was told they were closed for a gala and to return 11am. Did so, booked it on the app, returned and double checked at 10.55am with staff I could go through. Got changed, showered and then found pool still closed and gala was going on until 12pm! All the staff said they didn't know about it and it wasn't their responsibility. But there were approx 100 kids in there so was impossible to miss. And another swimmer said the same had happened last week. A swimmer with Learning Disabilities who had also been waiting with her carer since 9.30am was very distressed. All they could offer for their hopeless lack of basic operational skills was £2.70 compensation. Terrible communication, manager seems completely incompetent and staff unable to make basic observations. So much for Better!
Negative experience: Rude receptionist! Oh my goodness I’ve never encountered someone who’s more rude than the lady who was working at the reception this morning. She had grey hair and was awful to us. I showed her a voucher on my phone and straight away she got rude. Which is all fair at the end, once they explained nicely what it was, but it was more her attitude because I didn’t even try and argue with her I just asked oh do I need to bring it with me? And she said well yeah but with such an attitude. In front of my toddler. Also, the person who gave me the voucher said I can use it there so how was I supposed to know that they don’t accept paper vouchers? The rude receptionist said I need to bring it in and the manager said no we don’t even accept that. Confusing much? It’s not even the first time I’ve encountered this elderly receptionist it’s like she’s always so angry! She’s definitely not the sweet grandmother type. The manager came across as if he was scared of her. I’ve never seen anything like it. I get it’s not David Lloyds but maybe they need a course on customer service. Disgusting treatment of clients.
Positive experience: Went to the children’s soft play. Was decent the kids had fun. Needs a deep clean but it wasn’t gross
Negative experience: Today I used the spa salon at 12:00, I waited for service for 40 minutes until someone came to the reception... ... I will say yes, I am satisfied with the sauna, but I ask the management to pay attention to their employees... I asked for hot water to be added to the kettle, I am waiting 45 minutes, there is no water to make tea... There is no regular water in the cooler either... The women at the reception is absolutely useless... The service is terrible, I don't understand why they pay the employees how they do not fulfill their duties
Positive experience: Nice enough leisure centre and well equipped but pricey as expected.
Fantastic experience: Clean and tidy place. Professional staff. Worth the time and the money. I highly recommend for your fitness and wellbeing.
Negative experience: Arrived for spa staff delayed booking everyone in until the stroke of 10 and then hadn't even turned on any of the steam or sauna. No apology or recognition of the poor experience and service. Lies around it will take 5 minutes... Still all cold 20 minutes later.. A pointless and unpleasant experience.
Positive experience: As a North American living in London, I was finding it very difficult to find a pool where my husband and I can bring our 8 month old daughter swimming whenever we want, without having to commit to full gym’s membership. We decided to give this place a try and so happy we did! I was impressed that for a public pool the building was modern, as were the pools. It’s nice to have 3 pools to choose from being the main one, the medium one where lessons were taking place so couldn’t use it during that time, and the paddling pool. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy at all. The pools and areas were clean although the floors could have been a bit cleaner, but as we had the paddling pool to ourselves that was the cleanest area. The paddling pool was perfect for our baby, which was initially closed as there was no life guard but a member of staff called one over right away for us to be able to use it which was very nice. It was slightly cold and needs to be warmer, we were told it was supposed to be the warmest, but the medium sized pool seemed to feel more. The changing/shower facilities are basic and could be a bit cleaner but again decent for a public pool. There’s also hair dryers which is nice. We also noticed basketball courts which seemed great. In our experience the staff members were nice and helpful. We will definitely be visiting again!
Negative experience: It used to be a pleasant and hygienic environment for working out, but recently, it has become quite dirty. It appears that no one is taking care of cleanliness. The changing rooms, showers, and especially the toilets are consistently dirty. Even the gym floor is in poor condition. I doubt I will return to this place anymore, which is a shame because it has great potential to be an ideal workout and leisure spot.
Positive experience: Great for kids to play on a rainy day. Gets a bit busy sometimes. But it’s got all you need in a leisure center.
Negative experience: Facilities already seem rundown. Showers are always lukewarm and very dirty. I'm not sure why this is better so bad compared to the others I've visited.
Positive experience: So many things to do here. Communication from centre can be poor (ie letting us know if a session is cancelled). In swimming section you're lucky to find a changing room, let alone a clean one! Its ok not as good the old kensington new pools centre
Fantastic experience: We always have the best experience at this place
Negative experience: The worst experience ever tbh, the staff are rude and racist against Asian, we are kicked out of the court just because the staff sale the same time slots twice to diff people, and we didn’t get any refund.
Negative experience: Health and safety is a big issue in the soft play here. On Oct 23rd around 4:30pm four boys landed on my four year old daughter even though I was right next to her on the slide. The same group of four boys have been running around ruthlessly in the soft play area very fast the whole time and disrupting other people and no one said anything to them. My daughter went down the slide first then the other boys didn't wait for her to arrive at the end of the slide and all started sliding down and all landed on her at once. The mom of the four boys was just on the phone the whole time and not watching her kids all. This should not be allowed. Some parents are just not fulfilling their duties and someone working for the centre should supervise at all times. If my daughter was injured I would sue the centre and mother together.
Negative experience: Cannot recommend for badminton. Despite booking a time slot, the court is never set up at the beginning, forcing you to return upstairs to the reception to ask for it to be set up. So you lose 10 minutes of your booking easily. Staff is lazy and rude.
Fantastic experience: Well equipped with gym equipment and facilities. And also the staffs are very accommodating and helpful. Provides almost all of gym services.
Negative experience: Such a bad experience since they just kicked us out due to an unfair cancellation. We were asked to leave the court without any notification in advance. The manager had the worst manner I have ever seen and refused to talk to me.
Negative experience: I'm extremely disappointed with our recent experience. We had booked the basketball court for a solid 2 hours last week, ensuring everything was set for our game. To our surprise, we received an email this morning informing us that our booking had been cancelled. This caused immense inconvenience as our team had travelled all the way from London specifically for this. Upon arrival, we were further frustrated to find out that we could only play for an hour. But what truly soured our experience was the attitude of the workers. Instead of being understanding and accommodating, they were extremely rude and insisted we leave immediately. Such behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. I hope no one else has to go through such an unpleasant experience. 谁来谁傻逼
Positive experience: Easy to book and well layered out badminton facilities
Thank you for your great review!
Positive experience: Seem to be quite a lot of issues with keeping the facilities in working order. One of the squash courts has been out for ages, there has now been a leak in the sports hall which has ruined at least one badminton court (and the efforts to prevent it damaging others were so obviously weak I don't know why they thought that they would work) and the changing rooms are not always open. It's a pity because it's a nice-looking place. With a bit more effort it could be really good. 22/04/2024--Google has asked me 'Has it changed?'. Well, no. And that's the problem. There are still a lot of water damaged timbers in the sports hall, sessions still don't run to time, the lighting in the sports hall is dodgy, the toilets downstairs don't have soap in and haven't for weeks.
Fantastic experience: It's a really nice place for family leisure and children's basketball Sunday sessions! Friendly staff and a very kid friendly basketball coach! Thanks
Thank you so much for your great review!
Negative experience: Very disorganized! It was my first time and the reception didn't move a finger to give me the information about the swimming "class" I booked nor lead the way. I saw 3 "fights" in less than an hour. The changing rooms are smelly and really slippery (I understand that people are coming from the pool, but there are no drains or control about how people access the areas). There are no doors on the changing rooms, so I saw women going inside the male one to help out their sons (no privacy). A lot of kids unattended making a messy around and screaming. I also found a little girl on the toilet for disabled INSIDE the male changing room, where there was a naked guy taking a shower. You have to pay £1 to use the lockers, because there's no option to use your own padlock. The building is very nice and it has potential, so I believe they just need staff to be around taking care of the customers (who might get lost and end up using the wrong facility) as well as putting some boundaries towards rude and impolite costumers (because there are a lot). I won't come back to this unit even though is the closest one to my house.
Positive experience: I love coming here for my sports activities but the gym needs revamping as most of the equipment is torn and damaged, the water machine upstairs is leaking and attracting lots of flies, And the boxing gloves for boxfit need throwing in the bin, they smell so foul. For the monthly fee I pay, I would appreciate these things looking into.
Fantastic experience: Fabulous facility focused on the community — pools are modern, well run and above all clean. Cafe in the reception offers a pleasant break. Prices for Kensington residents. Managed by “Better” network. (Haven’t tried the gym or classes).
Positive experience: When i was spectating my son swimming i saw a mouse on the floor and the changing room was dirty and i think they need to clean the rooms after the customer leaves but main pool i think it is very good would come again though
Fantastic experience: Had a birthday party here, the kids absolutely loved having the swimming pool to just them and their friends. Well managed with lifeguards. Food was ok, but most importantly enough for them!
Negative experience: Zumba class was just miserable. The usual instructor Lara, wasn’t there, so someone came to do the class instead. It might suit for older people but that was not zumba.
Positive experience: It's ok, their memberships are good. However, their website isn't the easiest process they could improve. Swimming lessons for children are great and a variety of lessons, hense why i continue to visit as the swim instructors are amazing. The staff are friendly and always happy to help where they can. However, I do believe their require a refurbishment as the ceilings are damaged or showers. Also require a regular cleaner in the changing areas as it does need more of a clean as there has been urine smells from the cubicles.. The poolside, pool, and reception are kept very clean.
Negative experience: Three levels of facility with only one level having functional toilets. Is surprising how this can be open at all. Otherwise has a great range of facilities.
Positive experience: Good place overall. Just don’t go there for general swimming. Swimming lessons get priority. General swimming usually gets a quarter of the lanes despite having more people. Often have 6-7 people in lanes in evening hours. Open up more lanes for general swim.
Negative experience: New manger is absolutely disgusting booked online to take my children swimming my 10 year old son was stop by the manger and told where are you going and ther is no children allowed in the pool after 4pm my children were really upset The manger should not have confronted my child I should have been told iv cheeck online to booked for swimming and it's still saying swimming for all until 5pm
Negative experience: Extremely poor service from the swimming pool manager and staff. Constant excuses, made up stories and lies on why certain pools are closed. When you book on line all pools are available to use in the time slots. When you get to the pool its a different story Extremely poor management and leadership skills provided to customers. Why? Not great for a customer recommendation & business growth.
Hi, we are sorry that you experience with us was not great - please email us at [email protected] so we can investigate this further.
Positive experience: Love the new soft play here! Perfect for kids 2-6 or so. The swimming pools are also good, as are the squash courts and party rooms. Everything feels quite clean and new.
Thanks for your great review!
Fantastic experience: Easy and clean entry. Polite and helpful staff. They have lots of good quality instruments and equipment. There is a gym, swimming pool, and a soft play for kids under 10 years old. My daughter loved the soft play and enjoyed the time with new friends she made. There is also a small cafe inside. Parents can chill while the kids do their thing ;)
Positive experience: Decent gym - large pool and workout area. Decent cleanliness in my experience.
Negative experience: Lack of customer service, no manners, numerous staff standing in one place in the canteen chatting (no work-related) with a queue of people waiting to be served. No apologies for the long wait. Very disappointing. Rather prefer to get a coffee outside and bring that in.
Negative experience: My daughter is 7 years old, we are went there for a few months. Instructors changed, new male Instructor was highly unprofessional in dealing with kids. Made a complaint to the manager, but she didn't want to cooperate . Next time I stayed during lesson ,and Instructor was ignoring my child whole lesson .
Negative experience: I have been going there for over 2 years for swimming lessons for my child and I must say I have nothing positive to say about the place or staff, all the opposite. If I could I would give 0 stars. Children swimming lessons are a real scam here. It takes well over 8 months for a child to move up from one level to the next because staff keeps constantly leaving so children have a different teacher every weekend which makes impossible to follow their progress. Staff is unmotivated and that explains why they don't last. They don't have a stable workforce in place and teachers don't follow a swimming plan either as teacher changes every weekend whoever teaches your son/daughter that weekend then will teach whatever he/she wants because there is no record of what the previous teacher taught last lesson. In overall, it is a total caos. My child in 5 months they only assessed her once, after 5 months on the same level, one teacher told me that my child would move up level in 2 weeks and after 6 months another teacher said that she would move level in 2 months so there is not even agreement or similar criteria between themselves. They don't track progress even if they claim that you can do so online, you can't, because often they don't record it themselves in the first place. Sometimes they have done assessments and they are not even recorded. Many parents have left because they felt frustrated of the little and slow progress their children made and the enormous amount of time that teachers take to move the children to the next level and in the end, the lessons end up being much more expensive than in other sports centers as a result of the lack or organization and unmotivated staff that simply do not care. It is pointless to complain to customer services as they will simply imply that your child is stupid and that is why he/she does not make progress never mind that their staff changes constantly and they lack motivation. The system is designed to scam the parents and pay for children's lessons to perpetuity with little or no progress so If you want to waste your time and money, then this is the place to go.
Negative experience: It was my first time coming here to swim yesterday evening, and I didn't enjoy my experience. The lady serving me in reception was less than interested or engaged, and the pool was so crowded that it was impossible to swim. There was only two extremely narrow lanes open; so narrow that I was kicked in the shin by a man swimming very aggressively towards me (he did not apologise), and the family area that was alsp full of people. Half the pool was being used for a swimming school, yet more and more people were turning up to swim. I hung around hoping that it would die down but its just got more crowded and after I was kicked, I gave up. The lifeguard was also very rude when approached about my friends son wanting to go in the end. When I was leaving, I was going to approach the desk to share my concerns, however staff were either leaving or huddled having a chat. The only good thing about the pool is their changing and shower facilities. I usually swim in Acton and Fulham so I'll just stick to those pools, going forward.
Negative experience: £22 for nothing. Jacuzzi not working, pools not open, sauna keeps turning off. Amazing. Definitely not coming back.
Fantastic experience: We loved this place, very clean and great space for kids to spend time and burn the energy.
Fantastic experience: Great community leisure centre. Fantastic swimming pool. Between 1pm and 3pm in the afternoon is a good time to swim, as there are no swimming classes at this time. Good gym facility, plus a sauna and steam room.
Positive experience: Great leisure centre Spacious, plenty of equipment - maintained well, choices of group classes to meet all levels of ability and affordability to match;
Fantastic experience: Brilliant neighbourhood spot right here. Whether you live in Kensington & Chelsea or not, you can access their modern facilities on a pay-as-you-go basis — including the gym, pool, courts and so on. A great overall option if you have small children.
Fantastic experience: Had a Elemis facial with Daniela - the experience from start to finish was bliss. It was professional, caring, gentle and the results were outstanding! Ive been glowing since. Cant wait to go back and try the spa!
Negative experience: RUDE staff. After waiting almost 5 minutes for staff to finish talking about theirs weekend before being received. I tried to explain that I found some information on the website confusing. Receptionist response was very abrupt I was told to go back on the website and check. I mean why have anyone working at the welcome/reception desk if they are not willing to welcome and help potentially new customers. After some back and forth I gave up and asked to use the soft play for my 8 month baby, I was told I couldn’t use it because he wasn’t wearing socks but yet my friend attended 3 days ago with her 9 month old who wasn’t wearing socks.
Fantastic experience: Took my niece swimming here, the centre, area and people are lovely. I was impressed by the changing rooms, it has large multiple family change areas which brought a piece of mind when changing as I didn't have to separate from my niece as it was her first time swimming. The 3 pools are great from splash pool for toddlers or parents looking to splash their feet and get kids comfortable with water or the training pool which is a perfect height and temperature to teach children to swim. The main pool has a wonderful large area for non swimmers as well as 8 lanes to accommodate others with jump boards. Also great for families to use the stands and watched loved ones swim. My niece loved it and learnt to swim here so an experience this lovely leisure pool gave us ❤
Negative experience: I pay for a full membership here and can't believe how often the showers are broken in this place. Are they waiting for the Queen to come and give it a grand opening? Update: showers have worked for a while now but they have flies everywhere which is a bit grim. Also, when my yoga teacher is away, they still let me book the class with no one covering. 3 weeks in a row I went there for no reason. Waste of my time and my money!!! This place is beyond a joke!
Negative experience: Hey hey heyyy......i have to share this news to everybody. I took my 8 year old daughter for swimming and there was a verbal fight in the ladies changing room. My daughter heard and saw grown up ladies fighting and swearing for the first time in her life....oh my...god what can i say.....so i just want to let swimming pool team to come and check whether everything is alright in ladies changing room....
Fantastic experience: I love this swimming pool, and my husband loves the gym. The staff are always wonderful and friendly, being very accommodating if there's a lost pass. In the shadow of Grenfell, with a direct view to the site from the gym, so very good motivation to get stronger to get even with the Tories!! That being said, there are some very touching tributes to the fire around, and it has become a community hub for those affected. I enjoy coming here, be it as a user or someone who has to wait for their husband in the small but nice cafe.
