Fantastic experience: Had a great PT session with Susannah Jeremy recently. She has revolutionised my gym experience by opening up new areas of the gym and teaching me to use pieces of kit that will help me reach my fitness goals. Fantastic experience: Recently started session with Patrick Keane as a PT. I really enjoy the experience. Patrick will push you so you discover new things about yourself, which I like. He is also attentive, listens to your needs and objectives and will go beyond the training area where he can help with meal plans, advise on life style, recommend some home work out and more. Plus we always have a good laugh and he is chill, which fits me! I recommend!

Negative experience: I’m currently a member of Brighton. I had to give 3 months notice to leave. The place has gone downhill and is not worth the money you pay. I left my swimming costume in the changing room. I called up that evening and was told they would put it behind reception. The pool was closed for 4 days and when I returned they had thrown my costume away. They said they only keep lost property of 1 week. I was not told this on the phone. The staff was really rude. I purchased the costume from their shop which cost my £40. I am still waiting for a response

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend doing personal training sessions with Susanna. I’ve really enjoyed my sessions with her, she’s made me feel a lot more confident in the gym and taught me a lot!

Fantastic experience: I recently visited to query the various memberships on offer. I was met by a friendly receptionist who was able to arrange a tour on the spot. The tour was with the lovely Erin who was very approachable and able to answer all my questions. I was given a full tour and was offered coffee before deciding on the right membership option for me. I can’t wait to join and be a part of the DL family!

Negative experience: A nice gym but very lacking by David Lloyd standards - no spa retreat is the most notable example, but priced as if it has one. Have moved to Soho House instead.

Positive experience: Facilities are ok, but really basic considering the price of a membership. Not enough showers considering how many people access the pool. They don't even provide shampoo! Floors constantly wet. Sauna, jacuzzi and steam room are nice although small, so they get filled up really quickly - there's only one of each. Not particularly inclusive either - it was almost entirely big burly men in the sauna and steam room for my entire visit! I didn't feel unsafe especially, but also I didn't feel like it was a place to relax and unwind. Cafe and sitting areas also overcrowded even in the middle of the day and midweek. Price just absolutely not on par with the quality of the gym but there's no preferable alternative locally.

Fantastic experience: First class helpful joining up process by Erin. Couldn't fault her. Honest chat about the fees and getting good value. Easy to phone up and talk through one or two queries later with her. Erin also checked up that all was well after the first week. Felt valued and included.

Fantastic experience: Visited David Lloyd Brighton today with my daughter Amber. Our guide / host for our session was Erin who was a superb host who found the time for us without an appointment, showed us the entire gym and was extremely informative about the venue. Erin was so enthusiastic and professional and we both really enjoyed the tour....so much so that Amber joined. Awesome Erin...well done

Positive experience: Review for David Lloyd Brighton David Lloyd Brighton has potential, but it falls short in several areas. While the front-of-house staff are friendly and approachable, the overall experience could be significantly improved. Firstly, the spa experience is disappointing if you’re after relaxation. It feels like an extension of the sports facilities rather than a true spa, with the bright lighting detracting from any semblance of a calming environment. The lighting throughout the centre is far too intense and doesn’t create a relaxing atmosphere, especially in areas meant for downtime. The centre also feels heavily oversubscribed. There are often queues for showers, lockers, and other facilities. I would hope there’s some kind of cap on membership numbers because, as it stands, there’s really no room for more members. Another issue is the allowance of dropping weights on the first floor, directly above the mind and relaxation room – not ideal when you’re trying to meditate, only to hear loud bangs above. It’s baffling, and I question whether the floor has been adequately assessed for this impact. Cleanliness is a real letdown. Despite seeing cleaners on-site, their work seems ineffective, and the facility could benefit from a more thorough approach to maintaining standards. In summary, while David Lloyd Brighton has a lot to offer, these points of improvement make it fall short of its potential. They have a good app which I’ve used to submit this feedback, but nothing seems to be done to act on any feedback which is disappointing

Fantastic experience: It was a great walk around and tour by Erin. We had to wait around 20-30 mins as there was a miscommunication on our appointment. Erin showed us around and explaining all the different equipment, different areas. She was definitely knowledgeable and also what she enjoyed at the gym herself. Thank you Erin.

Fantastic experience: I had the privilege of having Susanna as my PT. She's amazing at her job. She's so motivating but also keeps it fun and it's so clear that she is invested in those she coaches. Fantastic experience: Training with Susanna at David Lloyd in Brighton has been an incredible experience. We’ve focused on building strength while working towards my ultimate weight loss goal, and in just the last month, I’ve seen amazing results - I feel stronger than ever. Susanna brings so much energy to every session and always finds a way to push me beyond what I think is possible. She’s an absolute legend, and I couldn’t recommend her more!

Negative experience: Really disappointed with the customer service of this place. From the beginning, on my induction day, I asked very specific questions regarding pause or cancelling my membership as I knew I was getting into a contract which the girl that showed me the gym answered stating that I could cancel or pause it due to financial or sickness for example. Now, she did not explain that I would have to pay 25% if I wanted to pause it. I have been trying to contact them for 3 months at this point, at the beginning was to clarify some information from them, however now it to fully cancel my membership as it is impossible to talk with anyone. They answer my emails every 3 weeks with no answers and not explaining anything and they keep ignoring my phone calls and rest of the emails. Overall, I am very disappointed with the admin service as the gym is very nice, maybe a bit overpriced for how old the equipment is but made it up for the pool.

Negative experience: Overall not worth the fees at all. The gym itself is pretty basic with old equipment and was under renovation for 3 months. Cafe is very expensive. Customer service is very slow and you can’t speak to anyone in person. I was charged for the membership fee twice in one month.

Fantastic experience: Myself and teenage son had an informative and friendly tour with Erin a few weeks back, who also put my son at ease when he was feeling anxious. She showed us all of the great facilities, and gave us a lot of reassurance that the gym would be inclusive of our disabilities and conditions. (This was really important to us). After checking out loads of other Gyms and options in mean time, and with further help from Tobias with any questions (who has also been fab) I registered my membership a few days ago. Can’t wait to get started!

Fantastic experience: We had the lovely Erin show us around the club today for a tour and it was a really great experience. She had excellent knowledge of what the club has to offer, tailored the tour to our requirements and had a bubbly, friendly vibe that made myself and my boyfriend feel really comfortable and at home. Fantastic experience: The pool and gym are great and I love the Blaze classes. I’m especially impressed with Tom Rossiter who I’ve been meeting for weekly personal training sessions over the last 6 months. I was experiencing regular back and knee pain and doing some strength training and full body workouts with Tom has been amazing. Not only do I feel fitter and stronger and pain free, but I’m much more confident in the gym now and have learned so much from Tom.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but positive things to say about David Lloyd in Brighton. I absolutely love the Blaze classes and my personal training sessions with Tom Rossiter are always excellent. Tom got to grips with my likes, dislikes and sense of humour very quickly and got me back into exercise after a long hiatus. He is very encouraging and knows how to get the most out of a work out while still making it lots of fun. Tom was instrumental in building my confidence and always pushes me in Blaze as well as in my PT sessions. I highly recommend David Lloyd and especially having a session or more with Tom. You won’t regret it.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. The receptionist is always super helpful and friendly and so are the other staff. It's always clean and has good options for classes and kids.

Fantastic experience: Love David Lloyd Brighton, all the staff are really friendly, funny and generally make you feel better. Facilities and variety of classes is really good. Minor point is that due to popularity of some classes you do have to book well in advance if you want to guarantee a space. For me, David Lloyd meets all my needs. Also, the cafe has a great service and good variety and they also have a quiet space with fast internet if you need to work. Great if you want to work and workout, you could easily spend all day here.

Positive experience: I go to this gym 3 times a week and usually enjoy the experience. The facilities here are well used and some of the machinery needs maintenance and the repairs to an interior wall are unfinished . On the plus side it’s a good space with plenty of equipment ,a decent pool , nice club area and the location in the Marina is excellent . What makes this place great is the staff who are always welcoming and helpful . In particular Tom Rossiter, who has really helped me develop my strength and confidence through regular PT sessions . I’ve just completed a 100km challenging walk which included a few steep hills and I couldn’t have done it without Tom’s training . Thank you so much .

Fantastic experience: I was in two minds about joining David Lloyd, would it be for me was my main concern. I met with Beth from the Sales office and she was amazing, talked me through the whole thing and explained my options. Once I decided to join, Beth then helped me set up my phone and showed me how to use the app. I hope you appreciate what an asset she is to your club.

Fantastic experience: Really happy with the club, especially the classes - Scott's Blaze and Ignite and Nat's Cyclone are fantastic. I've been to classes in other clubs over the years but nobody can match their energy, dedication, and enthusiasm for every class they do.

Fantastic experience: Really like this club I signed up as a platinum member a few weeks ago after being show a great tour of the club I was made to feel very welcome. as part of the signing up process you are offered 3 kickstarter sessions to meet a personal trainer and get to learn all the various pieces of equiptment and begin a training regiem. there is also access to various different classes as part of the membership program. ive tried the blaze classes and they really push you to your absolute limit but thats what the class is about. I chose to train with Tom I have found him very approchable, professional and very friendly towards me. he encourages me to train to my best and listens to my needs and what I want out of my personal training sessions. I find Tom very helpful and he is providing me with lots of great tips and various workout routines that I can apply to the gym when im there on my own. under Tom's guidiance I am aiming towards building a better physich and generally feeling better about myself both physically and mentaly. whilst I struggle with more complex movments around lifting weights I find tom to be very paitent and understanding and he will show me several times and encourage me to get it right. Im happy to say ive continued working with Tom after my 3 kickstarter session and am trying to schedual a session with him at least once a week.

Fantastic experience: Love the fact that David Lloyds provides stuff for my physical wellbeing by the gym, mental wellbeing by holistic classes and emotional wellbeing by the social clubs. I've met a great bunch of people at the monthly book club and quizzes they run here at the club.

Fantastic experience: I chose David Lloyd based on the children’s facilities. I am sooo pleased with the kids club. The staff go above and beyond and are so helpful, friendly and fun. My son also has swimming lessons which have proven to be very effective. The club itself is kept to a high standard. It has great atmosphere. We are there 4x per week.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for a few years and enjoy using the pool and gym. Staff are helpful and go above and beyond for us. I am also an active member of the book club and really appreciate all the hard work the club puts into place for us to be able to have social and regular events.

Fantastic experience: This is a great club - the staff are really friendly with a ready smile and are very helpful. Jay C has been helping me with a set of objectives over the last 6 months - top PT! The pool is glorious, and the gym facilities are well laid out. Marvellous !!

Negative experience: Today someone stole my purse and house and car keys in the women's changing rooms at David Lloyd Brighton. The Duty Manager and staff were totally disinterested and unhelpful. I had no money to get home etc. They displayed no responsibility even though it had occurred on David Lloyd premises. This not what I would expect from a premium rate leisure facility. According to the cleaner who looks after the female changing room theft is a real problem.

Fantastic experience: All the staff in the kids room at David Lloyd’s are exceptional. They are very patient with my daughter who struggles to leave Mum & Dad. They gently encourage her to go in the room to play, and once in the room she ALWAYS has a great experience. She comes out with lots of artwork and storey or the games she has taken part in. What a blessing it is to have the option of having some ME time in the gym or a yoga class, knowing that my daughter is happy and being well cared for by the staff.

Fantastic experience: The kids club team are amazing! My son loves going there and always comes out smiling and happy. The sessions are timed with the adult group exercise classes so I can to work out while he’s having fun. As a single parent it’s the only way I get to enjoy the club and makes it so much easier that he loves going there. Thankyou for making it so much fun for him

Fantastic experience: Looks like a Great club. Really motivated to begin my journey of fitness here. I was given a tour by Beth, who was such an awesome host and an inspiration for me. Took us around the entire place and explained everything to us as I'm quite new to this. Also met George at the front desk who was really helpful.

Fantastic experience: Great experience when having my post work out meal and drink in the cafe. Jaydon was nothing but kind, professional and very friendly from the minute I arrived she took care of me and made sure I got everything I wanted. The food and drink was also 10/10. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Love love love this place. The staff, the members, the facilities. Everything is as it should be and when it isn’t they’re super quick to respond. I can’t fault David Lloyd’s generally but the Brighton Marina one is exceptional. Very happy member.

Fantastic experience: Work from the David Lloyd workspace today. The space is set up really well And the breakfast was BEAUTIFUL!! And arrived warm and within the quoted time. The lady (Jaden on name badge) was so cheerful- she really made me smile with her friendliness and upbeat personality she made the workspace feel warm. I’ll defo work from here again.
