Fantastic experience: kids lived the pool party and the room for the food and fun afterwards recommend it

Negative experience: One of the worst gyms ever. Avoid at all costs, charge £35 a month (the 12 month contract, if you want to cancel whenever it £45per month) when the steam room or sauna is broke half the time and take around 6 weeks to fix, all the gym equipment is outdated causing them to break all the time, grips on the machines are hanging by a thread been the same from around 8yrs. Most the staff are friendly and nice apart from one who sits on the reception being miserable as ever. Needs a good refurb this place, if the council put some money into it could actually be a decent place but we all know their priorites.......

Fantastic experience: I have been here 2 times for the use of a shower as I'm a Hgv Driver. I pay for a swim but have not swam in the pool yet. Very friendly staff. I am a Scottish driver and this place has really nice people in it. Spoke to the guy behind the desk for a while. Very helpful.

Positive experience: Lets say OK, but could be much better. The male changing room has to be fixed, most of the cabinets are not working and the showers are a bit disgusting. The swimming pool it's not deep enough to swim properly. One of the baby change room was broken/not suitable to change the baby. Please look into this issues.

Fantastic experience: Easy access, Sefton council could make it easier to mobile book parking and monitor via app. The pool and staff are always great

Negative experience: Great when it’s open. Often turn up at 9 on weekends to be told the leisure pool is closed or both. Leaving is with a disappointed screaming toddler

Fantastic experience: Nice staff My great niece goes to swim lessons. She loves it and I love having a swim with her and her nan and her dad Really good family time Have many special memories and have had many great times I also have used the gym , which is a nice chilled out area and staff are always there to answer questions and give advice, if needed I'd also like to thank Simon on reception for his help Simon like all the staff that I have met has a fantastic attitude and friendly manner to all the centres members

Negative experience: Staggered times over Easter holidays so can't get a cubicle ,flume not open.changing rooms not clean nota happy experience

Positive experience: Swimming pool is great and I was looking to join the gym. Alas, £10 more expensive a month than my current membership. Didn't mind paying a little extra but tipped the scales on comparison. The parking is a bugbear and seems to be at most leisure centres.

Fantastic experience: first off the pool is amazing, water slide ahah the water slide, then you have got the lovely staff. when you need to know where something is, snap, youre there already. and the gym, oh my, the gym is sooo nice. its clean, no rubbish or anything. if your looking for a perfect leisure center, get your tush to bootle.

Negative experience: If you want your kids heartbroken then this it the place for you They have your kids standing in line only to turn them away. They say they haven't got enough life guards. But they have enough staff to perve at women when they are in the swimming pool. On and the slide is never open. I will never take the kids to this baths ever again even if it was free

Negative experience: Went there yesterday and tried to ask staff what time the slide was open. Only to be rudly asked why I was wearing a top instead and not a costume. When it was extremely clear i had a swimming costume on and a t-shirt over to cover my top half. For medical reasons. The staffs face dropped when she couldn't continue being rude to me. Your not allowed to wear tops or shorts which was funny because every man in there was wearing shorts not swimming shorts. No staff said anything to the males. Honestly just go somewhere else and enjoy yourself.

Fantastic experience: I have had parties here before for the kids, they have a slide and whirlpool and kids section you can hire. Worth checking availability times to go and swim as often it gets booked especially over the summer. Love visiting for a general swim too. Only issue for me is that the water is a tad cold for my liking

Negative experience: Good equipment at the gym, could do with a few new additions. Not sure if it gets cleaned much as always dirty

Fantastic experience: You can book 1hr in the pool and 1hr in a room upstairs for kids parties. You have use of music via Bluetooth, tables and chairs, floats and balls for the pool.

Positive experience: This leisure centre has had great updates to its hygiene and its changing rooms which have been increased and have grown bigger in size for more room when changing. The toilets were greatly accessible and had great room for accessibility as well as getting in the pool. The only disadvantage I would have is the pool always having random places closing. It's confusing most of the time.

Fantastic experience: I go to this place 6 nights a week , weight training after studies during the day- very up to date place with all the latest machines etc.. friendly chilled atmosphere; I love it !!

Fantastic experience: My son (6) does swimming lessons on Saturday morning. The coaches are phenomenal. They build an amazing rapport with the kids, and the progress made each wake is astounding. Such a professional and fun environment in which kids can learn.

Negative experience: Gym is great however glasses are now nearly all virtual. Took toddler swimming during holidays and he loved the whirlpool it really helped build his confidence however, I’ve been told this won’t be running during term time to save money so only big pool open, no access for toddlers to use baby pool which is a real shame! Some people don’t want to take the little toddlers swimming whilst pool is chocker in the evening. As a member I pay over 30 quid a month so it really isn’t fair. Water is freezing in the main pool to the point the babies lips went blue.

Positive experience: At the moment i am only using the leisure centre for swiming lessons so cant say much about anything else but i am really impressed as to how patient the instructor is with a very nervous learner.

Positive experience: Normally love this place, but im now looking for somewhere else to come with my 4 and 5yr old grandchildren. The water is far too cold they both couldnt cope and cried to go home. There is a warning on the window when paying in stating maintenance problems meaning water temperature is lower by one degree BUT its way more than that. Theyve had this problem for more than 5 wks now, its ok if it was summer but not in the middle of winter. Needs addressing asap

Negative experience: Awful place. They discriminate against disabled people. They lock you in the viewing room, and when you get upset at being locked in, the manager is horrible, doesn't take you seriously and talks over you. They do not care about neurodiverse or disabled customers. If you are ND or disabled, avoid and go somewhere where the staff know what empathy and compassion is.

Positive experience: I haven't been to bootle baths for years. Took my son yesterday and we had a good time. I do have 1 complaint about the hairdryers. The 1 I tried didn't work so I went to the locker (no.009) and next thing my son (nearly 3) screamed and cried. He got an electric shock off it. There was no sort of protection on the end and he had touched the metal inside and got a shock. I'll call tomorrow to speak to someone about it.

Fantastic experience: Took my Grand-kids yesterday. Couldn't praise the staff enough on duty to their quick response of a child who got into difficulty. Can't believe the mum let the child out of her sight though when he wasn't a strong swimmer?? Well done to the staff on duty for keeping our children safe.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are absolute assets to the centre. I swam at around 12 today and encountered about 5 staff. I can honestly say every single one couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: What can I say. Took my 3 year old today first time in 2 years of lockdown. She was screaming so upset and nervous. Every member of staff and I mean reception to cleaner went way out of there way to help me. Showing me where to get changed and even letting my baby splash them to calm her down. Can't thank them all enough. 20 minutes into the swim and she stopped crying and started to enjoy her time there. Thank you all.. The staff are so helpful.. A+++++++

Positive experience: Not the best not the worst but for a council ran gym its certainly top 10 . Staff good well maintained equipment and nice pool . Am a 5 gladys a week man and I go around teatime there is always people in but not over crowded. Enuff equipment to go round . Wouldnt train anywhere else in the area either than here

Fantastic experience: Went for a COVID19 test this morning at around 10:30, social distancing was adhered to, staff were very helpful and I was in, tested and out within 10mins. I received my test results by 11am.

Fantastic experience: Currently they are doing the smart testing here for covid. It's quick and easy to do and the staff are super friendly which really helps if your feeling nervous
