Fantastic experience: Always love it here!
Fantastic experience: The gym is fully equipped, and you can choose classes based on your preferred difficulty level. I absolutely love almost every class here! I’ve tried different classes, and each instructor has their own unique style. You’ll find many like-minded people here, all working hard to stay fit, which is far more motivating than working out at home. They also offer protein shakes, and the prices are more affordable for members.
Positive experience: I really like the classes but unlike many studios in the area, cannot believe they charge a 1 pound towel hire considering how much I pay for a class! But lovely instructors!! I

We have trialled free towels in the past, and the impact it had on both costs and the environment lead us to the decision to charge the lowest possible amount. Fantastic experience: Love it, love the instructors love the peace and quiet of Clapton and the more busy standard gym vibes in Shoreditch. One thing that I would love to change is the zero lateness tolerance policy, we live in London there is always an issue with the transportation system, a delay, a minor inconvenience that could lead us to be 1 min late. instructors sometimes close the room door even earlier preventing you to join the class on time if you do not arrive earlier. Please do not lock the door when the class starts and give at least 1 minute to those who sometimes can have this issues.
Fantastic experience: One of my favorite reformer Pilates studios in London! The instructors and stuffs are friendly, professional, and always create a welcoming atmosphere. The workout spaces are comfortable, bright, and clean, making every session enjoyable. Class preparation is seamless, with all the necessary information provided in advance. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Loved the reformer class! In terms of front of house: very much hi and bye. Blok was super busy on a Saturday!! Understandable, however the changing room was packed.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love BLOK. I was skeptical at first thinking it was just another over hyped Instagramable studio but WOW I have loved every class I’ve taken so far. It’s so worth the visit even if you aren’t the closest to one of the studios.
Negative experience: Not impressed with this studio at all. Very average strength class, have to pay £1 for a towel, changing rooms way too busy struggled to find a locker and then it wouldn’t lock, facilities were not worth as much as it cost considering its a similar price to 1rebel, psycle etc. Worst thing of all was they marked me as a no show and classpass charged me £15

There are known faults with two of our lockers in the female changing rooms and one in the mens, which we're working hard to find a solution for, and others are often mistakenly locked. The Front of House team check all lockers and unlock any that have been mistakenly locked twice per day. If you ever find a locker that can't be used because it's been locked in the open position, please make a member of the Front of House team aware and they will gladly unlock it for you. Positive experience: Attended Barre class at 13:00 today. Was good and challenging and challenged the full body. The studios are clean with nice mirrors. The design of the building seems to be going for a minimalistic vibe which looks quite elegant however I saw three people not able to find the changing room as it was not clear. Front of house staff seemed rude and lack customer service. They did not say hi upon arrival or even ask ‘how are you’ after I asked them how they are. Upon saying goodbye they didn’t even look up and carried on laughing amongst themselves.

Fantastic experience: A quite unique and fun twist on HIIT classes. Bought the 10 class pack, which is amazing value for money

Positive experience: I am a member at this studio and LOVE the teachers and have been coming for a year. But man you need to work on the cleanliness and the tissues situation in the changing room. You can try closing that drawer to avoid people from throwing tissues. And also ask someone to service those lockers or even replace them. I mean the membership is not cheap and the cleanliness is really lacking.
Fantastic experience: Excellent instructors with a good variety of classes covering HIIT, strength training and mobility & flexibility including barre, pilates (reformer and mat), calisthenics, yoga, boxing and ‘move’ (a class unique to the studio)

Fantastic experience: I've been going to BLOK Shoreditch for over a year. The facilities, teachers/instructors and front of house staff are fantastic. It's always a pleasure to attend classes when the staff are warm, friendly and the environment is safe and inclusive.
Positive experience: What’s there not to love about Blok ??! The best 50 mins you’ll ever spend exercising, staff are friendly and teachers too, they also do a great job of gently correcting if your form veers off (very important) !! I love how much I’ve grown and continue to grow as a result of being consistent. Thanks Blok x

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Blok for over 4 years now, and has to be my favourite London studio. With such a variety of classes and trainers on offer, every class is different. Everyone I have trained with has been so welcoming and supportive both inside and outside of the studio.

Negative experience: Lotte as a Power Yoga instructor is fantastic and I've always loved her classes. Recently though, I arrived a couple of minutes late for a class - I'm aware of the (extremely non-inclusive) latecomer policy blabla. But the absolute cherry on top of this policy is that to avoid Classpass charging me 15 pounds for being a no-show (which I wasn't!! I just wasn't let in!!) the receptionist offered to book me in on the system, with the caveat that I would need to STAY ON THE PREMISES FOR THE WHOLE HOUR. Not doing the class or anything. Just staying there twiddling my thumbs for a whole hour. No offense but what a thoroughly stupid policy. A complete waste of time and money.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could afford a bottomless membership with Blok! I love the variety of the classes. The instructors are amazing , friendly and encouraging . I really have fun and looking forward going to training, meeting people there and always feel i learned something new!
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Barre classes and the Bloksculpt with Emma or Christina, but all instructors are very knowledgeable!. I just wish the bathroom facilities were more spacious as it gets cramped during busy hours.

Positive experience: BLOK is one my happy places for sure. All staff and classes are great. Main issue is, as described by others, the lack of maintenance of changing rooms, which tend to be overcrowded. Same as classes, sometimes you have too many attendees and impacts a bit the quality of your workout. Both points could be resolved with a refurbish to prioritise space differently + likely a few weeks closed to clean up for good the shower/toilet situation. The £1 for towels thing is slightly weird but I do understand people are weird and they may have had an issue with it in the past, if you could improve the workflow of paying the £1 (like a towel dispenser thing?) instead of requiring 5mins at reception for the whole thing, that would be awesome. But I found I need to be 20mins earlier to 1) get a towel and 2) find a locker, not ideal!
Positive experience: Lovely studio in the heart of london. Tried bloksculpt class and man it was challenging! In a good way :) facilities and instruction could be better though therefore the four stars. And for the price you pay it would be nice to provide just small towels for the workout.

Negative experience: The instructors are great, but the service is poor. I have asked a week to go to stop my membership and still got charged. There is a strict policy even if you happen to be 1 minute late for classes, which is ridiculous considering how much the membership costs. Stay away

Negative experience: An interesting place. After attending with class pass, I receive a promotional offer to have a month for £50. I followed all the steps and to my surprise was charged 155gbp. Tried to contact support, no number, and still haven’t heard back. Been almost a week. Very upsetting Edit: more than a week later, after multiple phone calls (unfortunately have to call the reception) and emails, the refund has still not been received. Very annoying to have to chase this constantly. Not serious Update: more than 20 days later and back and forth emails pretending the refund has been processed, still not received. Dreading the cancellation of the trial process. In the end a total waste of time, with some unfriendly staff over the phone / emails

Negative experience: Very disappointing studio, cloakroom was very crowded and dirty between classes. I couldn't find an empty locker. Once someone left I put my stuff in the locker which was damaged (left it open with my stuff inside). As a result I was late for the class 1 minute and was not able to join. The receptionist, who was quite thoughtful offered me to come to yoga - not the class I would normally choose but some people may probably enjoy it. Nevertheless the space was very crowded - my matt was very close to other attendee and we needed to be careful to not fall into each other or touch each other. That made the class quite uncomfortable sometimes, especially when we were bending into each other faces. Studio could benefit from better organisation but I will not come again anytime soon

Positive experience: Great teachers and class quality. Reception staff are sometimes lovely, sometimes don’t care too much. Locker rooms / showers are high quality, but can get crowded in peak times.
Positive experience: High quality equipment, punctual classes, friendly, knowledgable staff who are approachable and motivating. They are the business’s true assets. Tasty smoothies, app that’s easy to book classes, & lockers that don’t require you to bring a padlock. However, you’ll be charged for no-shows and being even 1 minute late, making it even more expensive. Was disappointed that there weren’t more evening or weekend classes available. Accidentally was overcharged £25 but luckily this was resolved within a fortnight.

Negative experience: I have been going to Blok on and off for 6M. The classes are overall very good, great instructors and facilities reflected in the price. I’ve now had two experiences where I haven’t got into a class, once when I arrived at 7am and the class was cancelled - I understand there are always uncontrollable events. Then once when I arrived at 2 mins late due to train issues and wasn’t allowed in. When you have work and kids to squeeze precious exercise hours around this isn’t an accommodating or supportive environment. So overall I think there are better options out there.

Fantastic experience: Lucy is the best!
Fantastic experience: Classes are great, instructors are very helpful and kind, and the reception staff are warm and welcoming (makes me feel like a human). They have a juice bar if you need a kick before or after the class. I usually get the matcha coconut milkshake or hot chocolate. They have coffee available too if you want a caffeine rush. The members at the gym are really warm too. Just a really pleasant place to spend time.
Negative experience: I have been here a number of times with class pass - and am always bowled over by how pretentious and into-itself BLOK is. The receptionists seem to go out of their way to be unfriendly. It's insane. FYI you are not a techno club in Berlin, or a warehouse space for multimedia artists. You are a gym, that is not exactly cheap. Stop taking yourself so seriously. It's really embarrassing. Have now moved away from the area, so will not be going back.

Negative experience: Arrived 1 minute late because I filled my water bottle up before a class and I was locked out of the room and not let in. I knocked a few times and looked through the window several times where the teacher saw me. The teacher was talking and they hadn’t started any yoga and I was still not let in. Reception was extremely smug and rude when I tried to politely explain myself. Won’t be returning. Run by stuck up staff who actually seem happy and proud to turn away people.

Fantastic experience: Love this studio. Best showers in London and classes and studio are top tier. Always excited to come back
Negative experience: I have covid which is stressful enough, I tried to cancel a booking, at first was assured that the booking would be cancelled. When I saw in my app that the booking was still there, I rang again to try and resolve, and have never experienced such bad customer service and passive aggression in my life. The woman speaking to me was simply horrible and rude, without an ounce of empathy for my situation. I can’t understand why you would treat someone whose looking for help when ill with such disdain. Rather than try and help she told me if I had a problem I should write a negative review about her… so she hasn’t really given me any other option but to do that. To note, at no point did I raise my voice, or say anything mean, so I really don’t understand why she was SO rude. ____________________________ Went back for the first time since this incident and your front of house staff continue to be so rude. Snotty attitude on arrival and then charged me for missing a class I attended. They completely undermine the work of your class instructors and just consistently display the worst customer service I’ve ever come across.

Fantastic experience: Lovely studio! Have only tried callisthenics until now and the instructor Kann is super attentive and knowledgeable
Negative experience: Worst customer support. I booked and attended a class at Blok via Class Pass. I was surprise when I received a notification from Class Pass saying I had missed the class and charged me for an alleged 'no-show'. Confused and seeking clarification, I reached out to Blok's customer support, expecting a swift resolution to the apparent misunderstanding. Sadly, my expectation was met with disappointment. Rather than assisting me in rectifying the situation, the customer support plainly refused to help. They advised me to contact Class Pass, effectively passing the buck, even though the error appeared to originate from their records. I am not going to book another class with them.
Fantastic experience: Really impressed by BLOK. Sadly I only had time to visit once in my short trip to the area, but wish I could have tried more classes. I did the strength class and really liked the format and instruction from the instructor, who was also making some good corrections throughout the class. The space is beautiful too, very thoughtfully laid out and great design. I especially appreciated the interesting take on motivational posters in the entrance, a much better approach than the cheesy tat that’s more eye-roll than inspiration that you get in most studios!

Make sure you arrive early so you can start the class on time as they are really strict with punctuality especially for Barre class. I got really annoyed a few days ago as i was 2 min late and wasn’t let in but they made it better on my next visit as it was my birthday and got offered a free shake

Fantastic experience: I've taken some Yoga classes at Blok with Lotte and really like the vibe here. Studio is stylish, spacious and clean. The shakes are also yummy!
Fantastic experience: Fantastic class and teacher (power yoga 60, by Errin), and loved the room and the dim lights. The changing rooms though, are extremely cramped, especially at 6:15PM. There’s no space to change and you have to wait for people to finish before you can try and open a locker, which makes you waste so much time

Fantastic experience: Fantastic luxury studio and classes - I’ve enjoyed every class I attended. My preference is definitely the yoga & Pilates classes. The customer service over email is also very helpful. Thank you Esther & Dean for resolving my query :)
Negative experience: Came 10mins late due to the trains and reception wouldn't let me into my paid class. Travelled over an hour and a half for the class, the teacher of the class said it was okay for me to join but the reception still wouldn't let me pass. Absolutely ridiculous, no remorse for my situation and no refund given, awful customer service won't be coming again
Positive experience: Interesting classes but descriptions could be a bit misleading. I thought Blockmove was going to be cardio and it was instead rolling out your wrists and ankles and other micro muscles. In addition, they charge for shower towels while most of the other gyms in London I go to do not so it’s quite annoying. The shakes however are delicious!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym for fitness classes with one of the broadest catalog of classes. It's got everything from handstands to pilates, strength to yoga. And the staff and members are some of the friendliest. Great gym to join if you're new to London.

Negative experience: Didn't like their power yoga class: 1) The instructor seemed new and the workout that she designed was frustratingly uninspiring. I've been to many places that teach power yoga but this one felt more like a breathing class. 2) They didn't sanitize the mats at the end of each class and just left the mat on the floor and asked us to use them straight away after the previous class has used them. Didn't have towels to put on the mat either (only shower towel which costs additional 1 pound to borrow and most people opted not to use them). For someone who pays close attention to smell, dusts and hygiene this is simply unacceptable. 3) The classroom was small, yet they booked in students more than the space could accommodate. We ended up having to squeeze in and couldn't stretch our legs fully as a result, which ruins the purpose of doing a yoga class. That was not fun at all. The gym's interior design was cool and gave a simplistic, industrial feeling which hyped me up but I was very disappointed in the end by how they run the class. It feels cheap. I might give their other classes a try but for now I can't give a higher review than a 2 star.

Fantastic experience: I took Sean Paul’s Blok Fit class and loved it. The structure was clear and challenging without being overwhelming. It felt like I was getting a one on one PT session in a group environment. Getting to learn skills as well as getting a sweat on. Great playlist.

Fantastic experience: Love practice under high ceiling and clean centre. Yoga teacher Lotte is a wonderful teacher who knows exactly how to fire up the muscle and loosen them. People around are nice too .

Fantastic experience: BLOK is hands down my favourite gym in London. As a class based gym it covers all the disciplines from barre, yoga + Pilates, to strength, boxing, HIIT, calisthenics and more. The staff are always super friendly. Both spaces now offer reformer pilates too! The spaces are beautiful (both Shoreditch + Clapton) There is a really strong sense of community, which I love. The facilities are good, Shoreditch has all the post class bits (deo, hair spray, hair dryers etc) and the smoothies are yum!

Positive experience: Great instructor. Deducted one point because it was very crowded yoga class. I was next to the wall and cannot do bunch of the moves.
Negative experience: I have always enjoyed going to Blok but had an experience over the weekend that changed my view of one of its instructors. My friends and I signed up for a BLOKFIT class with Kate and were very much looking forward to it. Unfortunately on our journey over our train got held which meant we would be a few mins late. We called ahead to let the front desk know and they said it would be ok as long as we arrived before 5 mins past. Once our train arrived we RAN as fast as we could and arrived with two mins to spare. We were met by reception cheering us on and having towels ready for us, we quickly threw our bags into our locker and ran to the class which had just begun with a warm up. The instructor, Kate proceeded to humiliate the three of us in front of the whole class. Instead of coming up to us she screamed across the class asking which class we were here for, after we told her this was the correct one she proceeded to scream at us across the room at we were late and needed to leave. I have never had an experience like this at BLOK before and have always been met with accommodating and kind instructors who have made me feel amazing about my experiences there. This put an incredibly sour taste in our mouths and we will be sure to never do one of Kates classes after the way she made us feel. I do have the say the reception team was amazing and incredibly accommodating after, seeing what other classes they could get us in and then when all they other classes were full we were offered a credit for another class. For this incredible customer service I will continue to go to BLOK but will ensure not to support a class that is taught by Kate.
Fantastic experience: Love this studio. I took their Calisthenics and BlockSculpt classes and wow, they’re no joke. Hardcore thoughtful workouts. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, calm, high spec… it feels like you’re in a spa experience yet you’re doing a workout. Everything from the receptionists, to changing rooms, to teachers to even the hallways creates a calming, uplifting, positive, feel-good experience. My absolutely favourite studio in London! Changing rooms and showers have combination programmable lockers, hair dryers, body lotion, deodorant and even hair gel!

Negative experience: Horrible experience at the calisthenics class. The instructor completely ruined it by acting incredibly arrogantly screaming at everyone for not knowing how to do moves and all the beginners. Four people left during my session because of him. It's a shame because it had potential to be good, but was just ruined by an egotistical instructor who did nothing constructive at all
Negative experience: With hours in advance calling them to rebook a class I already paid for, they said they cannot move the class even if I am feeling unwell. I guess I will still go even if I am not feeling well then. Strict policy not flexible in the current context we are living.
Positive experience: Good class, enthusiastic and friendly instructor. The place is too bright for me and the music isn't loud enough, I think it's just not for me but could be great for others. Very nice changing rooms and studios
Positive experience: Love their workout studios, it’s very clean and they’ve got lots of hand sanitisers everywhere. Lots of space as well.
