Positive experience: Lovely place and friendly staff lights in the steam room is not working

Fantastic experience: We didn't actually go in the leisure centre but the park behind. Loads of children enjoying themselves. Sandpit, seesaw, swings, and climbing area for the little ones. Zip wire, swings, climbing frame, caterpillar rope swing for the older ones. Plus a huge field to kick balls around and a bike track. There's a kiosk selling drinks, cakes, ice-cream etc We were only stopping off after a library visit and stayed almost 4 hours!!

Fantastic experience: There are so many things for children to do here and the grounds always seem to be well taken care of.

Positive experience: I had a lovely time swimming as also was not too busy. I felt a little hurried when the kids showed up for swimming club as the pool was getting set up for them before time was up. I will visit again but probably leave earlier to avoid the hassle of a bunch of kids and swimming instructor eager to start their lesson.

Negative experience: Really didn't enjoy my experience From cold swimming pool To broken sauna. Staff look deflated and whole place looks sad and definitely not appealing in Any way. Won't be returning Changes rooms Uninviting too

Negative experience: Very rude staff. I called ahead to ask if we can come to play badminton today I was told that we could come between then and 3pm. We arrived shortly after to be told that wasn’t true. The staff were very defensive and not very apologetic at all about a wasted trip. We felt very uncomfortable and judged by the reception staff.

Fantastic experience: I joined the leisure centre (Freedom Leisure) for 3 months to swim in the pool. There are several time slots during the day for lane swimming. Weekends are a bit limited (early morning only). It’s not necessary to book a time slot for swimming which is the case at other swimming pools. The pool and change rooms are clean. I used to swim here years ago and the centre has been upgraded now and looks good.

Fantastic experience: My daughter just had her 9th birthday party here - a pool party with the inflatable obstacle course. It was amazing! The kids all loved it and the management of it all was impeccable. Thank you for the "Best party ever!".

Fantastic experience: Olympic size pool - although a trifle shorter than most. Open to the general public mostly - and kept clean. Very well organised, with swimmers seriously training at times...

Positive experience: Great pool facilities and nice wide lanes on the lane swims. One of the nicer cleaner pools in the area without paying a fortune

Fantastic experience: Haven't technically visited the leisure centre, but goldsmiths playground is great, with a lovely little coffee shop and facilities along with a great kids park and bike park with amazing views overlooking high weald

Positive experience: Went to the baby group on a Wednesday. Soft play in the hall. My little one Loves it but it's soooo cold in the sports hall. Make sure to wrap both of you up. Lots of things for little ones to crawl, climb and explore. There is push along cars too. It starts at 9.30!

Positive experience: Good gym, clean and with new equipment it should make it nicer. Bad you don't get a discount for being a member and wanting to use the sport hall.

Positive experience: First time going to tumble time and one particular member of staff was rude and nosey to myself and daughter ,mental bars on equipment should be for children over 2 years old .

Positive experience: The isn't any concessions for the disabled and it's pretty expensive just to use the pool and will be going to uckfield pool instead as it's nearly half the price, crowbrough is only for the rich it seems, shame on you

Fantastic experience: Value for price is great - £100/month for a family membership gives you access to gym, classes, swimming pool, sauna and 2 swimming classes per week for kids. Staff is helpful, equipment in the gym is not the freshest but is ok for amateurs like me.

Negative experience: Dismal pool with almost no direct daylight. Never has proper lane lines, unlike the glitzy website photos. Never full resulting in very choppy water. Some staff boss you around like they're Kommandant in a state penitentiary rather than a business with paying customers. Most swimmers know nothing of lane etiquette, pushing off at a snail's pace right before you turn, blocking the wall for turns etc. Single entry expensive at £5.50.

Fantastic experience: Facilities are extensive, varied and excellent. Staff are always friendly, and willing to help. Inside the gym itself, there are ample water and toilet opportunities. The gym is very well equipped, and the PTs are always willing to help or advise
