Fantastic experience: The best pool I’ve ever seen

Fantastic experience: Just signed up today for the pool. It's a very nice pool, a good price and most importantly all the staff were really friendly and showed me what's what. I think I'm gonna like it here.

Fantastic experience: the gym is awesome. on top of the service. im not sure of the guys name, but he works in the gym as far as ive seen and hes great! im yet to see the other two people who work there but i bet theyre great too. not to say the pool isnt great, i havent been there in a while, though from what i remember, it was good too. i definitely prefer the gym though but thats just a personal preference. in total, this place is great. would 100% recommend, the best part for me is that it accepts people into the gym my age. its been super hard finding a gym that will take in a 13 year old and this gym does just that! im super grateful for this place.

Positive experience: Clean, quiet, efficient. Not the largest gym but what’s there is well maintained.

Fantastic experience: A great pool - very friendly staff, long at 33m and a nice, chill and easy vibe. Lanes are wide and they seem to have the timetable well sorted since as an adult you rarely clash with kids/family pool time. I do wish there were more adult swim slots during the week though at later times in the evening. Showers and changing rooms could use a well-meeded upgrade. But overall my favourite pool in the area. Parking is a little further up from the pool entrance (about 40m away) and the entrance to the facility is a blind and tight corner just by the edge of the petrol station.

Positive experience: Staff were lovely, place was clean and the pool temperature was nice for my baby niece. Will definitely be back. Only down side was the vending machine not working. But overall great experience.

Positive experience: Love this pool, especially today. Daughter just had a swimming lesson and it wasn't as busy as normal. Just wish other people wouldn't wear their outdoor shoes in the swimming pool area and put on some flip flops or indoor shoes. Worry about the bare footed customers.

Negative experience: Please get the showers working properly. The showers are still only giving cold water in the poolside showers and gym showers. When they're not working a public notice would be useful. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: There are two pools a toddler size one and a larger one I have not been to their gym but the pool is well kept.

Fantastic experience: As a fierce pirate captain, I be no stranger to rough seas and scurvy dogs. But me recent visit to Middleton swimming pool be a true test of me mettle. I be pleased to find that the water be a perfect temperature - not too hot, not too cold. I spent a good while splashing about, enjoying meself like a true swashbuckler. The staff at Middleton be a friendly bunch, always ready to lend a hand - especially when ye struggle in the water. And the pool toys - arrr, they be a true delight! I had a grand old time playing with the inflatable dolphins and sea turtles. All in all, I'd give Middleton swimming pool a hearty recommendation to any pirate looking to cool off on land. It be a true paradise for us water-lovin' scallywags.

Fantastic experience: Surprisingly well heated still, in view of austerity, but the steps in and out of the pool aren't very well designed; too widely spaced and very difficult unless you are pretty fit. Saving grace is the pool pod which can lift you in and out of the pool. The way forward for me I think.

Negative experience: The pool and changing rooms really need modernising. The pool is very tired looking and the floors ate dirty from where people where shoes poolside. The changing rooms permanently smell of urine and trying to get into swimming here has been incredibly hard in the past. Nice to see they've updated the gym facilities but shame they can't show the pool and facilities the same amount of attention.

Positive experience: Good parking area. A pool of 70cm deep suitable for small children. Hoping they have more floating foam for babies to learn swimming

Positive experience: The pool was fun. It's a shame there was no lifeguard to watch the little pool so we could take our toddler in there before we took her in the big pool, plus there are only three family changing rooms so we had to queue to use one after swimming.

Positive experience: Very friendly centre been very helpful in sorting my way through the various membership levels. Pool is good with its Lane division and everyone has made me feel welcome over the first few weeks. Going to add Gym work next.

Positive experience: Impossible most of the time to connect to the webpage to book a slot or see the swimming timetable. Be prepared to wait if you phone. The digital age cuts back on staff that you then need when the digital systems dont work and this has been going on for some time so a can is being kicked down the road. New chromebook,powerful smartphone,lousy website.Go to contact online and you are told for weeks that the customer services software is being updated. That apparently takes weeks.Does this company post-covid actually want to make any money? Swimming is to reduce stress.Another wasted half an hour. Staff work hard,pool basic but ok for a standard lane swim. No frills.

Fantastic experience: I work as a lifeguard here and I can honestly say that it is one of the best pools I've been to. The staff are lovely, the centre is clean and there are really handy arrangements for this got weather that we are getting, including a fully air-conditioned room that is free to use with a member of staff's permission, and a free water tap by poolside. I totally recommend to anyone !

Positive experience: Love this place and the staff are excellent but I wonder if anyone has been under the water with some goggles recently. The level of debris and silt all across the pool floor was somewhat disturbing. Going to assume a bad day for the filtration system. Changing rooms and floor were below average, cleanliness wise.

Positive experience: Brilliant place to take the kids for lessons both of mine are now pretty good at swimming. Only 4 stars as they do like to fill the groups up with what seems a silly amount of children to squeeze into a small allotted space.

Positive experience: Reasonable priced activities, Lane swim good mix of lanes and facilities available clean and tidy. Always get hot water for a shower which is a bonus!

Negative experience: Used to be a member here and still have friends that go there so get the stories. I left due to poor maintenance and ageing Equipment. Heard recently they employ a failed Plumber for the Maintenance which was a previous Employee anyway, but now full time and things are getting Cowboyed more than they ever were before. Staff were friendly but management and some of the people employed, not so great. Cleanliness was OK but the Cleaner used to mop the Floor, Toilet, Sink and the Walls with the same Mop without changing the Water. Very unhygienic and always smelt with pongy Drains adding to the mix.

Fantastic experience: Great venue to take the family for a nice swim. Clean and tidy with friendly staff always willing to help. Has a good size pool for the kids and a good size for the older ones

Positive experience: Nice pool, go early morning or late in the evening to avoid the loud kids if you like to swim in peace. Water appears to be warmer in evening sessions too. Sometimes the drains are abit stinky tho in the pool changing rooms but overall not bad.

Fantastic experience: My daughter is in stage 4. Her swim teacher Charlotte is absolutely amazing. She is so great with the children.

Positive experience: Non nonsense pool and sports centre. Great kiddies pool, ideal for little ones to gain confidence in the water. Plenty of free to use pool toys for them too.

Positive experience: Came for a family swimming session, it was great. Lots of space in the baby pool and the large pool was buzzing with other classes and sessions. They provided a basket with toys which I thought was a nice plus. The changing rooms and all facilities are really good and parking was easy.

Fantastic experience: We take the little ones to swimming lessons here and we find them very good and the price reasonable. It can get a bit hectic trying to get a changing room but usually not an issue.

Negative experience: En general mala experiencia. Fui una tarde entre semana a la piscina y para mi sorpresa, no había ni carriles puestos para nadar, solo un montón de niños jugando, así que tuve que nadar esquivandolos. Tuve que estar así una hora hasta que pusieron los carriles, que fueron solo 3, aunque la piscina es muy grande. Para colmo nadie llevaba gorro ni chanclas, así que me pareció muy antihigiénico. La piscina estaba llena de pelos, tiritas y de todo bajo el agua, me daba asco. Encima estaba muy caliente para nadar. Para rematar, tienen unas duchas abiertas mixtas para todo el mundo, así que ni siquiera pude ducharme. Si aún así te sigue pareciendo poco, tuve que pagar 4,70 por la entrada, no te hacen descuento de estudiante ni nada. Así que nunca más volveré.

Positive experience: A very nice swimming pool for the kids. My kids really love it here. All I would recommend is for them to keep some form of ventilation in the pool area - it gets really suffocating at times.

Positive experience: Poorly run sessions. Paid in advance for splash inflatables. Session was supposed to start at 2.00pm so children were to arrive early to be fitted with life vests which we did. The previous swim was supposed to have finished well before. By 2.00pm they hadn't even opened the doors to allow the children through. They were still inflating the inflatables. By the time the children were called forward to join the queue 10 at a time it was 2.15pm. That cut the session right down. Also the ginger haired male lifeguard was hardly ever watching the children exiting the inflatable. Quite a few came head first or just missed the metal cables.

Positive experience: Most staff friendly. Great length pool, not bad pay as you go price. Seniors are discounted. Gym looks good and it's fairly new. Changing rooms always too hot and stuffy, needs looking in to.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend the swimming pool for kids lesson . From reception to manager, the entire staff is friendly and helpful. Response to request has been quick . My son loves his instructor Paula.

Positive experience: Good gym, friendly staff, go often, but are they trying to save money on aircon system ? either not on very often or very low pressure when on.

Negative experience: Arrived with my littluns after checking the website and FB page to double check the pools were open. Walked there as it was a nice day only to be told the little pool was closed due to sickness. This isn't the first time this has happened but I was told last time to check your pages for any closures. Someone went to the trouble of printing off a laminated sign so I'm guessing it happens a lot. How about someone go to the trouble of putting on your page to avoid tears of excited toddlers? What a waste of time and energy. We won't be bothering again.

Positive experience: Very standard leisure centre but staff are lovely & the pool is clean (from what you can see) - lifeguard on duty all the time too. Good pool for the family mostly, I've not been during adult only sessions or whilst there was some lane swimming. Slightly unusual that both ends of the pool are shallow, with the middle being the deepest. Even then, I can stand on my tiptoes, at 5'6.

Positive experience: I go here twice a week and the pool is always lovely and warm for us, however the changing room cleanliness let it down considerably. If they only managed to keep the place clean this would be a 5 star review.
