Negative experience: I can see within the reviews that I’m not the only person this has happened too. I have had a membership with this gym for years and rang to cancel my subscription. (Out of my 12 month contract) I continuously got emails of payments that were due. I had called multiple times over around 3/4 months. This was apparently cancelled but I continued to get emails or none payment. I rang earlier this morning to get the “Manager” on the phone who was not willing to sort this or even apologise for the inconvenience of this. The gym itself is great but the management is clearly not bothered about its customers.

Positive experience: This is a good gym, if you want to or need 24hr access. has all the equipment you need, to follow a programme, and achieve desired results.

Positive experience: Watch out for parking. Allocated spaces for the gym, then you have to enter your registration on a machine in the gym. Get it wrong - fine. Additionally, should you go over the alloted time, you are required to make additional payment through SMS/phone. No payment available at the carpark. The parking setup is the main reason for 3*. They gym itself is clean, plenty of cardio machines and racks. Standard Anytime Fitness setup, mostly with Life Fitness machines. I notice a decent Hammer Strength glute machine in the corner. They also had an early morning class on, which is great to see.

Positive experience: The gym is nice. The bathrooms are always dirty whenever I've been in.

Positive experience: Very good value for money for students, unfortunately let down by the lack of facilities due to the unfortunate way that the gym has been built. Also can get extremely busy after school/work meaning there is no space to use machines or weights. I would rate 3.5 stars if I could!

Negative experience: It used to be great but few months ago things seemed to get worse. Bad decisions- removing important, heavily used equipment and poor floor planing wasting precious space in such a small gym... Also allowing „personal trainers”-not linked to AF- reserving equipment and space for their groups is a bad move… Not to mention endless wait for the bathrooms/toilets to be repaired. 2 stars only for 24/7 opening times.

Negative experience: This used to be a great gym, but when the current owner took over he drove it down hill. All the original staff have been driven away by him and his behaviour, those staff had relationships with the customers and they'd been treated poorly. He made large changes to the gym without consulting the members or staff, and these changes drove loyal customers away and ruined the experiences for many people, especially the fitness classes which are barely existent now. I heard of instances of the owner banning gym members who gave negative feedback so I've written this under an alias to avoid any hassle.

Positive experience: Kendal anytime fitness is a great gym with everything youll need from equipment changing rooms bathroom etc It’s extremely friendly and secure with brilliant friendly staff Only thing id say they need to add if possible in the future is a separate bench press area Other than that for the price excellent

Negative experience: Hello! I still have no answer regarding the cancellation even though I am trying to contact you through phone call, email, facebook and website. I have just received an email from you saying that I am no longer able to make payments directly to the club and all further correspondence will be with the credit control agency CCS Collect. I have been trying for the past 4 month to resolve this cancellation with you and no one ever answers!!! I sent fb messages, emails and I called multiple times. NO ONE ANSWERS!

Fantastic experience: I used to stay in Windermere and now stay in Edinburgh. When I come back every 4-6 weeks to visit I don't want to fall behind or miss my training and Andy and his team couldn't be more helpful and accommodating with organising access to the gym for me. The gym is great - well equipped and there is always someone cleaning at some point (which during this pandemic is fab to see!) It is a very friendly feeling and welcoming gym and I honestly wouldn't want to use another gym. Thank you for everything you do - keep up the good work and great atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: Great selection of cardio and weight training machines.Free weights available to use on some machines as well and matt area available on top floor for stretching / Yoga.Lower floor has separate clean room for stretching / floor work outs.Toilets and changing areas clean.Access from the car park is to the lower level and free for uptown 90minutes once you have logged car reg on tablet.Good selection of equipment and friendly staff on hand for advice if required.

Negative experience: I really love the gym but during lockdown they took a ‘donation’ to the club without asking permission, a message to everyone’s email and then they took money direct from banks. This is a national issue with anytime not the local club. It is the best gym in town but after that issue directed by head office I won’t be returning

Fantastic experience: The staff their are extremely friendly, people who come there know to respect others, the equipment is easy to use, and the overall environment is motivating.

Negative experience: It wasn't for me. The music was too loud and the membership expensive for what it was, plus the contract really ties you in, so decided not to join. They chase you lots with calls and texts to join up. For some that won't matter, but I prefer a flexible contract, without having to serve such long notice or buy myself out if I want to leave. Others seemed to be enjoying the gym and the equipment was decent, it's just my personal preference.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, with a great vibe, helpful and knowledgeable staff, Lew and Anthony always the guys to go to for spotting and tips. Quite rare to see staff so dedicated. Shame the cleanliness is a bit behind, they look short staff, almost only this two on.

Fantastic experience: Greatl Gym very high tech equipment, private bathrooms open 24/7. Gourmet coffee and cold drinks available as well as fresh fruit.

Negative experience: We was greeted by a rather angry sted head on arrival, gym was lacking in lengos and equipment

Fantastic experience: Friendly shame free gym. Lots of parking. Great showers that are always clean Edit 6/12/19. Tried to cancel membership online as I won't be needing it anymore. (I now have my own home gym which suits me more) The website has a cancel feature but the button to click just doesn't do anything. Tried ringing but rang off the hook. So just cancelled my direct debit. That could do with being looked at. And there wasn't any soap in shower for over 2 weeks. But still otherwise happy with my experience there
