They offer a wide variety of classes and the trainers are amazing at providing personalized support. Great community, great atmosphere—highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Gym - great equipment and never rammed so barely ever have had to wait for equipment. Staff are lovely and super accommodating which is a great bonus! Would recommend anyone for joining as it’s a much better option with better equipment than a packed pure gym for just a little bit extra!

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. I discovered this place when working from home. I have since gone back into the office full time but stayed with this gym as it has great kit, never crowded, friendly staff and the opening hours are really good

Fantastic experience: Great gym, clean and not too crowded. They have all the required equipment. The equipment isn't brand new, but that’s purely aesthetic. The squash courts are well-maintained and easy to book. The staff is friendly and always helpful.

Fantastic experience: I've been working out in different gyms all over the world for decades. This gym has high end equipment, it's almost never busy, good atmosphere, nice owners and staff. For me and what I do, bodybuilding, it's great. I see some some reviews mention old equipment, I would greatly prefer high end functional equipment that's a bit old, than poor quality new. It's also good value for money.

What sets it apart is their genuine care for their members. It's like being part of a family rather than just a number on a membership card. Walking into this old-school gym with its new equipment felt like stepping into a fitness haven. It perfectly balances nostalgia with modernity, creating an atmosphere that's both motivating and comfortable. One of my favorite parts of the day was my morning routine at this gym. There's something special about starting your day with a great workout, and this gym provided the perfect environment for it. What's even better is that in the morning, you won't find people mindlessly taking silly videos – everyone is there with a purpose, ready to work hard and achieve their fitness goals. Another aspect that impressed me was the availability of free equipment. You never have to wait around for machines or weights, which is a huge plus for anyone looking to optimize their time at the gym. But what truly made this gym exceptional was the people – both fellow members and staff. Everyone was friendly, supportive, and genuinely interested in helping each other succeed. It's rare to find such a positive and welcoming community in a gym setting. And let's not forget about cleanliness – this gym was always spotless. It's clear that they prioritize hygiene and maintenance, creating a safe and pleasant environment for everyone. Unfortunately, I'm relocating and won't be able to continue my membership at this gym. I'll truly miss this place and the memories I've made here. But one thing's for sure – I'll always cherish the time I spent at this amazing gym, and I'll definitely be on the lookout for something similar in my new location.

Positive experience: Handy gym with most things you need never crowded when I used it so plenty of space and options nice sauna available on specified days friendly staff when they are there good little coffee bar area (also a bar )

Fantastic experience: Great gym and squash court. Very helpful and friendly staff with Tommy, Celine and Chris. I use the gym sometimes before using the squash court, without too many people on machines. It is less often busy so it allows you to enjoy the gym as you want. The squash club offers social and different leagues to join if you wish to play with other people which is a great opportunity to progress and meet new people and different play. It also have great facilities with shower and toilets and lockers to store your valuables while using the facilities. And there is always someone to answer or serve you a cold drink! Overall great.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with great staff -- offering advice and training tips. Very amicable and knowledgeable team, and the gym has decent hours. Good, polite community, too, which does not hesitate to provide assisted reps. Machines and benches are very often free, so no need to wait most times. Very accommodating and versatile.

Fantastic experience: Great gym for self-training with good equipment, shower facilities & lockers and fitness studio. Very quiet even at peak times so rarely have to wait for apparatus to be free. Convenient opening times and open on bank holidays. Plenty of free parking. Lovely, classy lounge and licensed bar with views and balcony looking onto Richmond Rugby Club pitch.

Fantastic experience: Great gym and squash courts. Really friendly and helpful staff. The gym is well maintained, clean and well spaced out to allow for your workout. There is a great selection of easy to use running machines, cross trainer and free weights + some nice rowing machines too. There’s something for everyone really. Squash courts with a good number of leagues. There are also inter club matches which is nice and everyone has a drink afterwards which is a great way to meet people too. Overall - a great club, well priced for something in Richmond and so close to the station. I would highly recommend Richmond Olympus for anyone who wants a great squash / gym environment. 5 stars ⭐️

Fantastic experience: Great gym and squash courts with several on going leagues. There’s a wide variety of levels. Friendly and informative staff. There’s a new system to book squash courts which helps ensure you have a court when needed. The gym has all the weights and cardio machines that you need. It’s also nice to have a selection of beers available after a game or work out. Plus you can sit outside on the balcony which is amazing on a sunny day. Chilled and quiet. It has exactly what you need from a gym / squash club and can’t recommend it enough. 2 minutes walk from Richmond station too with ample parking.

Negative experience: The gym facilities are dilapidated with sad looking changing rooms from the 1980s. The sauna isn’t working the last month or two which is disappointing. The gym has basic equipment like squat rack and bench press but lacks quality with ropes that are frayed and some broken treadmills. The mens showers have mould. One of the mens toilets has been taped off for months and hasn’t been fixed, the other toilet has a broken seat. It cost nothing to replace a toilet seat yet this hasn’t been replaced for months. The whole gym stinks of underinvestment, it needs refurbishment asap. If you have low expectations and want something quiet then ok. But there are other options nearby also such as Richmond Hill gym that offer more for the price and modern equipment. Note also the car park at Richmond Olympus is a crime hotspot so don’t leave any valuables in your car there.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym - has everything you need and it's never too busy.

Negative experience: I went to this gym for five months, first of all the price, it is a very expensive gym you pay £80 just to sign up for 1 month. The facilities they offer, if you go in the afternoon, it is most likely that you will have to wait to do some exercise because the bench will be occupied by someone since they have very little gym equipment. Worst of all is that they are thieves, if you unsubscribe on July 1, you will pay for July and August. In my case, I gave up the first week of July and they forced me to pay for the entire month of August as soon as my economic situation was very complicated. Don't fall into the trap there are better and cheaper gyms like pools on the park which is next door. You can see the bad condition of the equipment (picture attached)

Fantastic experience: great gym ! it is never too busy there. the equipment is not state of the art however it makes it very affordable and at the end of the day a weight is a weight. the customers are very friendly and respectful ( no grunting or influencer )

Every query is dealt with fast, professionally and on a personal level. They have dealt with recent changes to an incredibly high standard and I am very impressed with this gym overall. Fantastic experience: I recently joined this gym and am surprised to see the 3.5* rating - the equipment is of good quality, membership includes use of the squash courts, and the gym is never overly crowded so you can work out in peace. It's been a useful aide in the battle against the "quarantummy".

Positive experience: Please update opening time in google if you care about reviews, some of the equipment needs scrapped and replaced. When Change room and showers are unavailable and the opening hours where reduced shouldn’t the price go down ?

Fantastic experience: Great gym, never too busy, a good range of equipment & friendly staff. There are also squash courts & a lovely hot sauna to relax in after a workout. Added bonus if you’re into Rugby, a bar with an outstanding view of the neighbouring Rugby pitch, ‘home to Green King IPA Championship sides Richmond and London Scottish’

Fantastic experience: We’ve been here for a Squash session, we had fun. The receptionist lady is really nice and helpful.

Negative experience: Tried to book studio hire with this "gym." Management were extremely rude, wouldn't give me an exact price on the studio hire or even send me an email confirm their prices. I would never use this gym.

Fantastic experience: Good unpretentious gym. I’ve been going for a year and it’s never been too busy. It’s not flashy or intimidating - just right for people of any age who want to get in shape without any fuss. Very fair pricing and friendly staff too.

Fantastic experience: great gym, perfect as it’s not full of people pretending to be active. Squash courts are great and the view of the rugby pitches is really good on games day. It’s not trying to be a spa so you don’t have to pay the prices of a spa. Have been a member for over a year and it’s worth every penny :)

Negative experience: Again 1 star is too high, they take money from your account at odd times during the month on top of your membership fees and then deny any knowledge of despite being provided bank statements proving they have illegally taken money from my card. Its with my bank now but I fear the gym is in financial difficulty and will not be there that long...

Negative experience: It doesn’t even diserve the one star. Really old place, never been upgraded, equipment is from when Nuffield didn’t value is worth moving to a new site. Staff are horrid, asked to cancel my membership and was ignored. Another payment came out I had to have a long email arguement and block them with my bank. Spend a few extra pennies and go anywhere else

Negative experience: I really did want this to be a good place to play squash, but just no. Has a lot of potential with 5 squash courts, but these haven't been maintained and some have holes in the floors. Very expensive for what it is, and not a welcoming environment. The gym is clearly being run on a budget and all the owners care about is money. Not sure what the gym is like (old and a decaying is my impression) but if you play squash, avoid at all costs. Some members tired to run a team out of the club in the summer (which I was involved with) and the people running the team had problem after problem with the owners. Its a shame as this was once one of the most active squash clubs in the country.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym. Sure the equipment isn't brand new or perfect / scratch-less - but it's by no means dangerous as mentioned in another comment; unless you haven't a clue what you're doing (for which they have personal trainers too in case you do need help). The treadmills, cross trainers, rowing machines, squat rack, free weights, cycling machines, and resistance machines (all of which I've used) are perfectly fine and I'm in and out of the gym in about an hour without having to wait to use anything. The price point is also great, which to be honest indirectly sets the expectation that of-course not everything is going to be 'luxurious' or perfect - if that's what you're after, I'm pretty sure David Lloyd or some other overpriced gym would be happy to take you on at double or triple the monthly cost. I love that this gym is raw and I hope it stays that way. Another perk is that there is ample parking, they also have squash courts and the staff are great. What in the world could you possibly need or want more from a gym. Thank you Richmond Olympus for creating a real gym, your improvements made thus far are also much appreciated.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with my experience. The equipment is old and outdated to the state that it was dangerous. The boxing bags were loose on the wall, putting you off using them because of the fear of them falling off. I believe one bag had already fallen off, and while the other looked unsecure nothing has been done to fix it. Note this unsecure bag has been like this for at least 2 months now. Even more annoying is the cleaner that comes in at 8pm and starts hoovering around you, even when mid exercise. Other issues I have with the gym, are the fact that inappropriate programmes are shown on the TV's such as keeping up with the Kardashians. One day the gym even had the show's audio playing on the loud speakers. To summarise, the Gym is dated, unprofessional, and hasnt seen any investment into it for a considerable amount of time. There are far better gyms to go to in the area, with better staff, for the same price.

Positive experience: Formerly known as Nuffield's and before that Cannons, the club has been revived thanks to passionate team. No thrill gym but has a sauna, weights, cardio and Squash facility. The parking is a fab perk of Membership too. Within the club, you will find a cosy Pilates Studio perfect for one to one's, run by Philippa.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, I'm kind of shocked by the fact that other people have commented that they are "disgusted by this gym" or that it is I'm "dire need of an upgrade". I like the fact that it is low-key - and not flashy. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The monthly price is low which makes it great value. Classes are varied and mostly good.

Negative experience: I was shocked and appalled with the state of this gym, after previously experiencing luxury at Kingston. This gym has not been updated since being bought out by Nuffield Which is very disappointing. The showers looked like they had stepped right out of the 1970s. However the staff were lovely which is more that can be said for the members after being bullied off of equipment. Save your money.

Negative experience: We joined for 2 reasons: The gym is close to our house and it was priced reasonably. But it's sad little gym. I don't think it's been cleaned in years. Even the cup holders on the elliptical machines have some sort of black crud growing inside of them. However, this may not seem to matter to most people since I haven't seen a single person attempt to wipe down their equipment after using it.
