Negative experience: I tried to join, and one of the lead staff members couldn't care. They set up DD then asked for 1 month upfront but they refused to take contactless payment or send me a payment link. They asked if I can give them my card details and I could see they had already saved 3 members card details on their computers whilst asking for mine which I declined. Things have gone down hill.

Positive experience: All that you need from a swimming/ leisure centre.

Negative experience: Went to a party there. £4.65 for a pint of carling Cheaper in London...ripped off good and proper

Positive experience: Nice big room, friendly staff and plenty of parking. Just right for the private party we attended.

Negative experience: I was going to leave 3 stars ✨ but, I can’t due to something I witnessed in the changing room this evening. Lovely staff members, sauna ‍♀️ ‍♂️ is good, steam room is fine. Jacuzzi is working without any stop. Some of the gym equipments are good & others are broken. Important subject, hygiene ️ level. It is -11/100. Really low standards. Did you know in some countries hygiene or cleaning is illegal ? Google it So, they bring it to other countries with them. I saw a gentleman in his 60s in the changing room was shaving his (dead skins) under his feeton the table this is disgusting I saw him in the sauna & told him, any how, he did take it seriously well, I hope he did! He said “ I wiped it “ me; replied “Yes, but the virus from you dead ☠️ skin will remain on that table”. Report it to that lovely bartender/ reception lady at19:17 She was 89% shocked I think She said “it’s not our fault”. Don’t leave any reviews. Now, if they don’t start cleaning by next week I will lower the star to 1️⃣ and if they still don’t raise their hygiene level and rectify some issues raised here, I will lowering it again to -1 if I can. I can’t 1 star ⭐️ would be the lowest.

Positive experience: We go to Splashbabies here. Lots of space for getting children changed and very warm showers!

Positive experience: Just ok... but the Caribbean food there was best ever ... very delicious

Negative experience: It’s not worth the money nothing really works everything is old and tacky Everything inside is stained and smells Takes more than a month too fix things The steam rooms never works since I’ve joined. The jacuzzi bubbles don’t work.

Positive experience: It's ok, had signed up earlier this week and think it's ok for the price but definitely details could be improved. The main gym has been refurbished somewhat recently so is a pretty decent atmosphere and facility to use. Plenty of classes to get involved with and is easy to get a machine during weekdays when it's less busy. The women's only gym room is ok, decent for what I need machine wise although you can tell it's older equipment in there, however I would say that some of the weight machines are a little broken/clunky where you change the weight levels. Think the room could do with a bit of a freshen up with a lick of paint and maybe more mirrors on the wall you face when on treadmills just to brighten it up a bit. The women's changing room is ok too, but could be better to have a few more changing cubicles and the one they do have just has a chair in it, but would be good to have more hooks and possibly a shelf to put your stuff in when getting changed. Swimming pool, so you have to walk over the landing from the changing room to get to it which feels a little odd as you pass everyone going in the gym. It not a massive deal but just feels a bit odd. The swimming pool itself I thought was fine, but busier periods may make it less enjoyable and difficult to get a spot. The jacuzzi needs some maintenance I think as only half of it gets the bubbles and the other side doesn't really work. I also got the odd smell of drainage while sat in the jacuzzi which made it feel a little unhygienic. Steam room isn't currently working but they said it'll be fixed soon, we'll see. Also an issue I found is that groups of people are in the pool area and it feels like they are having a bit of a social gathering which isn't a an issue for the most part, but this means the groups hog the jacuzzi, and just switch between that and the pool. Then they rotate between themselves to use the sauna which looks like it only sits around 4 people, so they just seem to keep moving to and from each area the whole time (was there for around and hour) and I was lucky to mange to get a quick moment in the jacuzzi but couldn't even get a chance to go in the sauna. On the whole though I have been really enjoying going to the gym here and I can live with most of the minor faults for now, but if it didn't look to improve certain areas over the next few months I'd probably consider paying bit more to go to Nuffield if it means a cleaner/better maintained facility.

Fantastic experience: Wanted to join to swim regularly. Was hesitant after reading reviews about cleanliness so thought I would ask to be shown around which they were more than happy to do. The pool area & changing rooms were spotless during evening peak time. Signed on the spot. More than satisfied don’t believe everything you read. Thank you Laura & co.

Fantastic experience: Very busy and at the moment with road closures, becoming longer to get to. Other wise not bad. Staff are friendly and always there to help, we are still pleased we joined.

Positive experience: Decent place with a variety of activities, very spacious, and holds many exercising machines and many other things. But needs more attention to hygiene as machines not being cleaned regularly and weights all over the place. Dry and wet sauna and jacuzzi are super awesome! But once it brokes, it takes forever till it fixed. And the amount of fluoride they use its crazy! Once I complained about the strong smell of it working out upstairs, the response was shocking. Nobody complained yet, she said and done done nothing about it. Fluoride is toxic chemicals. The last thing I want is breathing this while running on a treadmill, and for those reasons, I left.

Positive experience: Hmm visited for a musical karaoke evening fun, but the place is out dated, bar didn't have any bombay saffire and no lemon slices, coffee machine out of order very disappointing venue

Positive experience: I go here for adult swim lessons. Great staff

Negative experience: Joined and within a month Steam room not working for over 4 weeks and showers stopped working for a week constantly everything breaking down poor cleanliness and back dated gym

Fantastic experience: Love how women can have a private work out of just women and men do as well but we can go together if wanted jaccuzi is fabulous and swimming pool is and nice and warm not cold and the sauna rooms are amazing but could do with getting the steam room hotter

Negative experience: Equipment always out of order. Just did a refurb and already smith machine out of order. Pool is unhygienic as well as sauna, showers and steam room. They are more interested in the events rather than the gym. Only reason I come here is because it’s a 2 minute drive. Mould everywhere in the mens showers it smells they don’t ever clean anywhere properly. Never take feedback and fix anything after reporting numerous times.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere on Soul Night dancing. I note I seen the dance teacher Sharon who made everyone feel at ease whether your a novice or regular dancer there. The food was a bonus where they had a variety on offer to choose from. The atmosphere for like minded people was surreal and felt like life had gone back to the 80's and I've had fond memories of that era. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Would not recommend in joining as I have cancelled my membership due to the cleanliness. The place needs updating & the changing rooms are disgusting I seen them mopping the floor around the toilet then continue using the same mop on the changing room floor. The showers are dirty with people Fleming in them. The pool area is not the cleanest & also needs updating. I was a member 20 years ago & nothing as changed since them They need to invest money into the place to bring it back to a decent gym.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. We booked for a funeral and the theme was orange/yellow for COPD awareness. The staff didn’t disappoint, the room was lovely. The toilets were clean. Oh, almost forgot, there was also a dedicated cocktail bar.

Negative experience: We booked a private venue for a wake which wasn’t private due to people being able to walk through and use the gym/ eat lunch. Which wasn’t explained to us. We were pleased with the helpful staff who set up and packed away for us. However, the staff packed away too early as if we were being rushed and they wanted to end their shift earlier. The night before we were advised we could come in and set up even though there was another wake venue happening still. We were lucky to get a discounted price due to a cancellation however, we would of not paid £370 for a non private venue and staff that want you to hurry up and go. Would not recommend and use again.

It's a great place, very friendly & has everthing we need before starting a days work. Plenty of car parking & Alan front of house is super helpful & friendly as always! I am only sorry that I did not post this earlier but please consider for your family get togethers for the New Year here as you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this gym for years. I love it. Manager/ staff are lovely..I have been to other gyms so can confidently say that. Great customer service, cosy atmosphere, always trying to improve. The gym can do so much on there side. However, it is also clients responsibility to look after things, keep things clean use showers before and after entering the pool/ jacuzzi/ sauna. Not use oils, or splash water on thermostats to lower its life span/ cause damage. Look after equipment. Respecting the facilities. They work hard at this gym, I always look forward to going to it. Greatful it exists. Thank you x

Negative experience: Abbey life has responded saying that I am not being truthful …… “We would like look into some of these matters that you have stated as this isn't the case and we would like to look into this for you. Abbey Sports” Unfortunately, it is exactly the case Money is taken, sauna was not fixed for a month, with month reimbursement not offered Jacuzzi not fixed Bugs still evident AGAIN, monies NOT reimbursed Shocking! Everyone who used Abbey Life when sauna and jacuzzi was not working properly should be reimbursed for month; if only through courtesy

Negative experience: I have complained about how unclean the pool area is for a long long time now and yesterday proved how unclean it actually is bad smells from the drains glass door that have not bin cleaned in over 12 months and now a dead mouse it may be cheap but cheap dosnt mean you have to slack on quality, the female manager just lies to your face but the rest of the staff are ok

Burn baby burn literally, have trained here a few times in the past gym is half decent with a seperate weights area now for what u pay monthly for the membership its the cheapest for what it offers ie swim sauna etc

Positive experience: Gym Location is fab, good on-sight parking - however, in need of a revamp as the equipment is far to old compared to alot of other gyms in Leicester. If this place had a good refurbishment it would turn out to be a really nice premium gym. Also you will see private events as you switch from upstairs and down

Negative experience: So upset just have joined there most importent for me is sauna and jakuzzi as I'm work in cold place . But jakuzzi works very low bumble and it works just for 2-3places where you can just feel it. Sauna doesn't work and it says as need a lot job for the repairing. That mean nobody knows how long it will be recover it.. (((
