Negative experience: If you are under 16 you have to leave at half 5 its so bad also its £8.50 for a day pass and at reel steel its a £5 and you can leave whenever u want and it only 15 mins away

Negative experience: **Disappointing Experience at this Gym** I recently joined this gym, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from positive. From the moment you walk in, there’s no guidance or explanation about the equipment for new members. There’s absolutely no one around to assist or even show concern for new joiners. The staff member present is a personal trainer, but they don’t even acknowledge your presence. If you’re not already familiar with how the machines work, you’ll have to figure it out by observing other gym-goers because you won’t find any help here. As for the facilities, they are shockingly small and severely under-equipped. For a gym that charges £40 a month, the equipment selection is laughable. There’s no abductor machine, no rowing machine, and nothing specifically designed for glute workouts. They don't even have an abdominal machine. You’re left with very few options, and honestly, it’s a joke for the price they’re asking. To top it off, you need to book in advance just to use the pool! In my opinion, this gym is not worth the £40 a month. You’re better off finding another place that offers better equipment, facilities, and support for its members.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pools, never usually very busy. They alternate swim times between the 2 pools so that the changing rooms aren't overly busy. Lovely staff. And great prices compared to Cheltenham's

Positive experience: We come here for swimming lessons every week, the teacher Vanessa is lovely and does a great job. Unfortunately the pool is quite cold most of the time, I've had to leave on multiple occasions as my child's lips have turned blue from being so cold in there.

Fantastic experience: Overall, Tewkesbury is a very nice pool & staff are relaxed & not all authoritarian. However, they could tighten up a little on their appropriate swimwear policy, as a man wearing a posing pouch seen by my husband on two separate visits, is hardly decent with young children in the changing rooms & adjacent family pool. We don't want to see that as adults either.

Positive experience: there could be more machines and modernize them. £40 is a bit much because you don't get that much here for what you come here for.

Negative experience: Really disappointed today to book a Family Swim only to arrive change and shower to realise they were closing the Family pool and we were expected to use the main pool. Our daughter has special needs and can barely tolerate the 30° temperature in the family pool without turning blue and constantly shivering, and there is no way she would be able to use the main pool, which is only 28° If the session we booked online had stated it would be in the main pool, we would never have booked! This situation needs to be advertised so families can decide what is best for their particular needs. Fortunately for us when I refused to use the main pool Adam the Deputy Manager managed to accommodate us in the family pool but this meant we had to wait for the next session and after showering we were all freezing just stood waiting. Definitely not an ideal situation and would make me reconsider coming again after using the pool for over 4 years with all of our children. I have only given 2 stars because my daughter was unaware and still had an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic experience: Went lane swimming here. It was busy but everything seemed well-organised. Very pleasant experience.

Negative experience: £8.10 to use the steam room, sauna, spa etc which is only available for 2 separate 1 hour slots 12-1 or 6-7 because of lessons. Ridiculous

Negative experience: I recently ( school half term) bought my two granddaughters aged 4 and 5 to the family swim session. The prices are very reasonable and generally the centre is clean . However, having arrived a few minutes before the session started I was informed that we could only be accommodated in the big pool. ( shallow end 1.1meters)Which I agreed to as both girls can swim albeit under close supervision. The pool water was very cold which unfortunately resulted in us leaving the pool not long after we had got in . The change rooms had a cold breeze blowing though it, making it very uncomfortable . We are regular uses of different leisure centres in around the Gloucestershire area and have always been very satisfied with them, but found our experience in Tewkesbury leisure centre not so great.

Positive experience: Clean modern gym. Recommend.

Positive experience: Brought my grandchildren 10 & 6 to the family swim as we have before. Very reasonably priced and even more so yesterday when told it was a "Free Day

Fantastic experience: My boys love going swimming and playing with all the floats and to be fair it's not badly price, changing rooms are clean and staff are polite.

Negative experience: My daughter was heavily criticised in a class. .leader chose to be very critical of her infront of whole class. So much so that she felt the need to apologise to her after the class.. not nice ..not kind ..you never know what folk are struggling through in.life so if you can be anything ...be kind .!!! Totally unprofessional and unnecessary

Positive experience: A great place for a swim and a coffee ( Not simaltainiancy). Some times staff are unable to help, due to lack of knowledge. Lose a star.

Negative experience: They have very bad customer service. I tried to cancel my gym membership because I wasn't going to use it, and they wouldn't cancel my membership, and kept adding £20 charge to my "debt" to them, for every email they sent to me. Really rubbish experience, and totally inflexible resolution solving. I will not go here ever again. Just ripping off the paying guy, without consideration for the circumstance that I'm in. Do not go here.

Negative experience: Staff are nice but horrible timing and discrimination against young people. Junior gym sessions are bad as no one can be there for 4 and only going for and hour is honestly rubbish many kids dont get home untill 4 and its stupid expectations. Honestly timings should be changed or i recommend going to another gym.

Positive experience: The pool is cold and air temperature too. Teaching groups are too large in swim lessons, and progress is slow. Nowhere really to watch. My daughter much prefers facilities and teachers at Evesham LC.

Positive experience: Cleanliness could be better. Toilets, changing room floors downstairs, tables in reception. And the toilet in reception needs cleaning or inspecting hourly or at least 2 hourly, absolutely disgusting at times. Cannot fault the gym in any other way. Just the cleanliness needs to be alot better.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic cornerstone of the local community. Perfect to keep the whole family active.

Showers (some enclosed ) lockers and changing areas all pretty good too. All in all a good 45 mins exercise for everyone and last of all the staff are very friendly every time we have come.

Positive experience: Schöne Anlage. Jedoch nur teilweise für Besucher offen. In unserem Fall war der grosse 25m Pool gerade mal 45 Minuten offen und Sportschwimmen war fast nicht möglich, da von den 5 Bahnen keine für Schwimmer abgesperrt wurde. Gleichzeitig diente es als Plantschbecken und keiner der Bademeister reagierte. Auch nicht wenn unachtsam ins Becken gesprungen wurde.

Negative experience: We booked a 'family fun' session and drove down from Swindon to find that we were in the main pool which is not the family pool, it's a lot colder and too deep for my 7 year old, a complete waste of time, very disappointing!

Positive experience: Nice, clean leisure centre and friendly staff. Despite them trying with balls etc. the family fun time in the swimming pool is just a bit boring I'm afraid. Such a shame in comparison with the old pool. However, it doesn't cost a lot. The soft play is a really good addition. Brilliant value for £2.75 for 1.5 hours. They just need to consider more toilets or sign posting to more toilets. There was one toilet for the whole soft play to use and it wasn't very clean.

Fantastic experience: Lots to do, friendly and approachable staff. I would like to have a free swim rather than lane swimming but other than that no issurs

Positive experience: We took the grandsons in here for an hour to play in the soft play area. They made friends with other children, everyone got on OK and it filled an hour of the day. The soft area was small but not overly busy, not too boisterous, overall the boys enjoyed themselves.

Fantastic experience: I've only been here to take my son for swimming lessons but I would recommend. The lessons are fairly priced and the changing rooms are so much more clean than other pools we have used. Also the soft play is a good addition, although I would say the infants section is more for babies so there isn't much for 2 and 3 years olds.

Fantastic experience: Took my kids here swimming, and what a lovely place this is, Changing rooms were clean and tidy, pools were lovely and warm. Not overbooked either so plenty of space for children to have fun.

Positive experience: Went to watch the grandson during his swimming lesson only to find that they had installed a soft play area that has reduced the viewing to a few side windows that you can not get a proper view of the lessons in progress

Negative experience: Not happy with it now. The way they have put a play area in , there is a lot less room for parents / Grandparents to be able to watch their children swim , especially down in the big pool .

Fantastic experience: I swim here regularly and always find the pool and changing areas clean and accessible. Lane swimming is well organised with 3 sections for different swimming abilities / speeds.

Positive experience: Good size pools and gym. Staff nice, but shame the new check in system is hard to use the first time, as well as overcrowded swimming lessons til 6 on weekdays.

Fantastic experience: My first time visiting the leisure center. I went for an hours swim, ( wich incedently you need to book in advance by logging onto their website. The changing area is family friendly and vlean as where the toilets and showers. The pool water was vlean and of a pleasant temperature, and not overcrowded. Totally loved the sauna room afterwards, really cleans your skin and invigorates the system. Plenty of parking snd public transport on the main road.

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit to Tewkesbury leisure centre and although no grotto or slide we were left very satisfied with how friendly and helpful the staff were. The disabled facilities are excellent and all being well we will be frequenting on a regular basis. New interactive gym equipment has been installed, so far it's quite impressive.

Fantastic experience: I am a regular user of the gym facilities here and it caters for all types of workout. My only criticism is they could do with 2 more benches (as could any gym lol!!) But it would make sense given the amount of users of this equipment. Very friendly staff and great facilities. Can be busy at peak hours.

Negative experience: Absolutely unprofessional I changed my booking and when I get there, they have some swimming competitions And I was unable to use the pool Nobody informs me so a waste my time and money Then I request the refund, they took my details twice and I am awaiting a month and still have not received my money

Positive experience: Great place to swim, shame there’s not a lot for kids. Also they don’t have any healthy food in cafe, fruit, vegan, ect.

Negative experience: FREEZING! Bought my 3 year old and we couldn't bare more than 10 minutes in there it was so cold. Blue lipped kids everywhere. Not great when you're trying to encourage your child to learn to swim. I complained and was told because of the energy crisis they were trying to save money! Spent a fiver and a total waste of my day spent longer changing my cold grumpy toddler than we did in the pool. After complaining was told someone would call me they wouldn't refund me then and there. 2 days later no phone call either. If you have children avoid. Not worth the hypothermia or the hassle

Positive experience: Friendly staff, nice clean environment but often feels like the smaller pool is very cold.

Negative experience: My first visit to this gym today. Reception staff were polite and helpful. The gym was clean, tidy, bright and the equipment is well kept. It can only be described as half a gym though. Lacking various bits of equipment, some I noted during my visit - * No EZ Bars that I could see * DBs only go up to 40kg * No Stairmaster machine * No Seated or standing calf press machine * Only 2 benches in front of mirror / DB area, which is odd considering there's space for more. * Insufficient number of plates * No ab crunch machine (but there is a sit up bench) * No area prepped for dead lifts (thicker rubber matts) * No abduction machine or glute machines in general. * Very limited variations of handle equipment for cable machines. * The machine for seated cable row was pretty pathetic. * No preacher curl equipment * No hack squat machine There is plenty of unused free space, so I'm sure with a bit of planning there is room for more equipment. Membership fees are standard compared to other leisure centers in the area, but arguably this has one of the poorest equipped gyms I've come across. It looks like a gym designed on a very meager budget, which I find odd since gyms are becoming increasingly popular so investing in a well equipped gym that caters for a wide audience seems sensible. If you're interested in joining this leisure Centre primarily for the gym I would advise against it...unless you are interested in doing cardio...lots of cardio...then you wont be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: So welcoming. I go to the gym there & unlike a lot of other gyms you're likely to be greeted by others as opposed to headphones on & head down.

Negative experience: First visit to the centre. Family changing room we used was very dirty with mud all over the floor. A very strong smell of urine by the lockers which is not nice. Pool was ok, not as warm (smaller pool) as we hoped for a young baby to be in

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say thanks to all the staff at Tewkesbury leisure centre in their support and attention to detail in making everything where possible safe for us to enjoy the leisure centre in this covid situation. The booking in system is great and cleanliness after each session is brilliant. Social distance in place and hand sanatiser on hand. Fantastic teamwork and friendly staff. It's so nice after months away to be back swimming... enjoying my swims again and feeling safe. Thank you team!

Well done to Tewkesbury Leisure Centre for the superb way in which they are organising bookings...such a good system....and keeping us safe as we come in to swim. I have been twice now and have my swimming booked for the next 2 weeks. Back to the "good old days" of 3 swims a week. I can thoroughly recommend them. ‍♀️‍♀️

Fantastic experience: This is a great Leisure Centre. The staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are excellent, with 2 lovely pools, gym and studio rooms for classes. Everything is clean and there is a warm seating area overlooking the pool, with a coffee shop serving good coffee and snacks. I can highly recommend it!
