Positive experience: Reasonably equipped
Positive experience: Decent gym for the money. I havnt been during peak times though. Please please can a member of staff re rack the free weights a few times a day. I've been there a few times now and there all over the place. They don't even get re racked at the start of the day got in here at 7am today

Negative experience: Water machine I pay extra for, hardly ever works, gym completely over crowded till after 8pm, either needs more equipment, and more facilities, or limiting on the number of people In at one time, no staff at nights to man the place, can’t tell me they can’t afford night staff massive chain, weights all over the place. Been a member at this gym since it was first ever opened, wow it’s gone totally down hill.

Negative experience: The gym in Preston is extremely unclean, possibly the dirtiest. The drinking water dispenser has been broken for months despite paying for a premium membership, and the staff have inexplicably turned it off. Unfortunately, the only alternative for water is the restroom, which is unsanitary and disturbing. The lack of visible management is evident, as trainers are often engaged in casual conversations rather than overseeing operations. After three years, I've decided this will be my last month at this unsatisfactory gym.

Positive experience: Hi it is Amy Shorrock a member. I would like to request that the morning 6:30 classes be 45 mins long. This is because with a warm up and a cool down this doesn’t allow for much actual exercise. Currently there is only one 45 min class available at 6:30. There are other members who have also commented they would prefer 45. Many thanks

Positive experience: Large and accessible gym with plenty of machines and free weights. The staff are helpful, efficient and approachable. Even at the busy times there is plenty of space and you don't usually have to wait long for equipment. I only have a couple of niggles: The lockers need padlocks but a lot of people leave them unlocked, which is annoying as you have to open every one to find one free. Another thing is that the free weights are put back in the wrong places, and because there are so many of them it makes it difficult to find them. Fix these two issues and I'll make it 5 stars instead of 4.

Negative experience: I had bad experience inside gym Some one stolen my bag today I enter the gym in 10.45 after finished my workout I checked my bag in changing room it’s was no there I kept my bag there I didn’t bring my lock I joined gym just 2 days before My flat key inside the bag and cap ,towel I informed the manager she checked the camera but not found it I belive a big Thief inside the gym not single person it’s gang I believe I don’t have any complaints about gym and staff So every one be care full your bags and valuable items no guarantee on inside gym locker room if we have lock it’s safe This is the worst experience I have today Sharing my experience here

Positive experience: The gym appears to be well equipped and modern. However, there are uneven numbers of some weights which made it difficult to find a set, some values of kettlebells were not in the gym (14kg) and the showers were unclean and smelly. Quite a lot of equipment was left out around the gym (PTs seemingly ignoring in). There are plenty of resistance and cardio machines and a good space for sled pushes, a good size studio and a spin studio.

Negative experience: The gym is let down by some staff and some gym users, it’s a absolute mess of a place I.e you get teens in there leaving dumbbells on the floor, the whole time I’ve trained there I’ve never seen any dumbbell in any kind of order on the rack, bars are left with plates on, never seen the staff educate anybody on proper gym etiquette, but I think most of the people who train there aren’t serious about working out as every gym I’ve trained at In my life wouldn’t tolerate this behaviour, could be a good gym with them small improvements it isn’t hard to put dumbbells we’re they belong and it isn’t hard to make sure there are signs everywhere stating this and enforcing the rules so everybody can enjoy the gym experience instead of it being a stressful nightmare just trying to find equipment but I think the staff care less than gym goers about how the place is being managed, I’ve nearly trained a month there and will look for another gym unfortunately, if you don’t mind unorganised gyms, then it’s not a bad place but if you are clinical about your workouts and don’t like messing around in between sets looking for one dumbbell on one side of the rack and another on the other side, there are plenty of better options in Preston.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the service most of the equipment needs a repair but they never bother about it. The water tap in toilet is also broken from 1 month which they left with a sign to use rest room upstairs even you are disable. I don't think so i will come back here will never recommend anyone

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. Positive experience: Been a member for years but unfortunately has got worse over time. Weights all over the place and no staff members in sight to help or advise you on anything. One of the overhead lights in the free weights area doesn't work so the area isn't well lit at all. I recently joined the Everlast gym in Deepdale and it outshines Pure Gym by miles (although it still has its issues). PG needs to up its game or it will lose a large percentage of its customers.

Negative experience: The worst place I have ever been to. People are so inconsiderate. Staff and others just decide to walk in front of you, stop and have a natter with their pals whilst you’re in the middle of something. The people who use the gym slam the weights right next to you as loud as possible and then don’t put any weights back. Hands down the worst gym I’ve ever been to.

Negative experience: The gym is good, wish there were more cardio machines. Unfortunately the cleaning stations are not well maintained, the pump handles are dirty and not many bottles are filled with cleaning solution. Also this evening, the flavoured water machine spat out a chunk of dirt into my, thankfully, clear bottle - the machine has clearly not been, maintained/cleaned correctly if at all. Is this not a health hazard?!

Staff do undertake regular checks of equipment and the facility and work hard to ensure everything is fixed as soon as possible, we are equally as disappointed when this happens but will have everything in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns please notify staff on site as soon as you can or you can get in touch directly with the Gym Manager! You can approach staff in the gym or leave a comment in the feedback box as this is regularly reviewed and will be taken into consideration for updates and improvements, or you can contact Member Services. Positive experience: Cheap enough to pay monthly , good range of gym equipment to choose from, however always manage to find something broken or not cleaned properly , such as rowing machines

Fantastic experience: Big spacious, good looking, clean gym where you can meet great people! 4 squat rigs, plenty of benches and dumbbells with variety of machines. Totally recommend!

Positive experience: Good gym for cardio based workouts, lots of equipment and very clean. If you’re looking for a cheap but we’ll kept gym to do cardio this is your place. Otherwise if you want to use free weights I’d recommend looking elsewhere as that section is very limited.

Positive experience: Gym is great with and new range of equipment bur would recommend that the classes that are held in the bike studio are to have the volume turned done quite a bit as it is distracting and also pushes everyone away from those equipment that are held there and would need more mirrors for the squat racks as it help to check from and your general surroundings.

Negative experience: I never seen a gym this crowd before.And there ongoing maintenance will never be done.Most of time there won't enough space to do push-ups

Negative experience: Awful gym, still packed at 10pm in the evening, free weights thrown everywhere. Worst gym I have ever been to.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. Negative experience: Just received my free 3 dsy pass and used the gym and I was very unimpressed by the gym outlay you walk in and there are huge empty space in the middle and all the machines are cramped together the whole layout is just appalling it was very untidy and the machines were greasy for Pure Gym to charge you £27.99 for the first month is day light Robbery then £17.99 after is laughable I carnt believe people pay that for a Very disorganised and dirty gym and I will definitely not be going back and recommending the gym I will be going to a clean and very organised gym like JD GYMS who is value for money

Positive experience: Love this gym purely for the convenience of it being 24/7. Prime times awkward as free weights section you are waiting for like 10 min between exercises for queues. Machines generally okay. Non judgemental and all sorts of people come. Cheap also. So if your not a fitness maniac and not in a rush. Why not be here?

Negative experience: I could only describe this gym as meh, there is nothing special about it. A lot of cardio equipment and the basics with resistance machines. A relatively large free weights area with a good amount of racks. The positive about this gym is the opening hours, 24/7 and staff are helpful when I’ve required assistance.

Fantastic experience: I do love my Puregym, classes, staff are great. Recently tho, I've noticed the cleanliness of the place is lacking. The sanitizer before u enter the main doors is filthy. I dont even want to sanitize my hands, probably catch something from it. The one table and chair near the accessible toilet was filthy too. The sanitizing stations need a good clean too. Spray bottles in particular. And the drink holders on equipment. Everything else, perfect. Good value.

Negative experience: A reasonable gym However, it does need to get a grip on it's cleaning, the gym is not as clean as it was, a lot of the time the cleaning stations need filling up and cleaned themselves. And it would help if the personal trainers got their clients to wipe down the equipment after using them,which they aren't doing

Positive experience: A large gym with a good selection of equipment, if only the carpark was bigger! It's really annoying when you arrive to find the carpark full and there's not any other suitable parking nearby, without risking a ticket.

Fantastic experience: For value for money I think PureGym is miles ahead of the competition. The gym is open 24/7. I can't tell you how many times that has come in handy. The Preston venue is clean as can be expected. The gym has many machines and loads of free weights. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Hands down the worst gym I have ever stepped foot in. Hardly any equipment and what equipment it does have is very poor. Anyone who wants to train anything other than cardio is better off avoiding this gym...
