Fantastic experience: Joined a few months ago. It's superb. Staff are great and facilities are top notch. The classes are really different and are aligned with the kids classes which give the wife and I the opportunity to do our own thing for a couple of hours. It's busy on week nights and much quieter later in the day on the weekends.

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd Emerson’s Green is a great place to train and unwind. The gym has everything you need, and the classes are fun and varied. I’ve even picked up tennis since joining, and the courts and coaching have been brilliant for getting started.

Fantastic experience: I booked a walk around before securing membership to get a feel for how I could enjoy the facility with a 6 month old baby! Emma was so relatable and introduced me all of the gym and spa services on offer and more importantly to the baby crèche which is just an amazing service and so professional (please extend the service to the afternoon DL!), mummy baby class and coffee morning. Emma was warm and friendly, which put me at ease while being professional and knowledgeable. She was also very patient when I had to attend my baby during our chat. Thank you Emma, I’m a very happy member and sense that I only joined thanks to our interaction in person to seal the deal!

Fantastic experience: Faey Rainbow is a fantastic PT, very knowledgeable, encouraging and dedicated to her clients. Even as an experienced gym goer I’ve found Faey to offer great expertise, specifically improving my deadlift and chest press. The change in technique, coached by Faey, increased my lift capacity in these exercises. Faey is friendly, supportive and would make an excellent PT for a novice or experienced gym goers alike.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Faey Rainbow at David Lloyd since September, and I can honestly say she’s been incredible! As someone who was completely new to the gym, I found it really daunting at first, especially when it came to using the equipment and doing weighted exercises. But Faey has been so supportive and patient, creating a personalized workout plan for me and teaching me how to use the machines and lift weights with proper form. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve gained so much confidence in the gym and have already noticed a real improvement in my strength. I’m excited to continue my fitness journey, and I can’t recommend Faey enough to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely caring trainer!

Fantastic experience: For Faye Rainbow (Fitness Instructor) This highly organised and dedicated fitness instructor has an amazing knowledge of her field. She is pleasant with a positive attitude and has a comprehension understanding of the gymnasium and equipment being used. Overall I highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for just under a year and would highly recommend. The entire team are fantastic and the creche and kids team are exceptional. Danielle, Ellie & Ellesse do over and above to make sure my daughters are settled and having fun in both the creche and kids classes meaning that I can have the time to use the clubs facilities. All of the facilities are well looked after and maintained, which you would expect for the monthly cost, but it really does make it worth being a member.

Fantastic experience: Faey Rainbow is a super personal trainer. She has been working with me(79) and my wife (75) since January 2024. Our strength and fitness have really improved. She knows what we can achieve but always encourages us to do more. We had no problem skiing in March and I continue to play squash. Thanks, Faey.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are really kind and helpful. I was lucky enough to be helped by Emma who was very generous with their time in helping me manage my membership.

Negative experience: Overcrowded gym with no parking. SPA areas are crowded and cold. Got a wrongly issued PCN, and management was unhelpful in resolving it. Disappointing experience!

Fantastic experience: I Came down to the club this afternoon to meet with Emma after my 14 day trial was coming to an end. Emma was really helpful in discussing what options would be best for me and how I thought I would use the facilities to get the best out of what was on offer. Emma explained everything really carefully and made sure I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision about my membership. Thank you very much Emma.

Positive experience: It is a lovely place to relaxed in , Kendal amazing ,few little things could be better but overall it's lovely, I miss going but due to health I can't now, , I think it should be cheaper it's over priced ,,

Fantastic experience: The best gym experience in the area. Overall it has been such a great lifestyle change and experience to join DL over the past year. + Excellent facilities not found elsewhere: Jet spa, jacuzzi, 2 saunas, steam room, courts, heated pools (indoor and outdoors). It's like being on holiday several evenings a week... + Good availability of olympic platforms and freeweights. Never had to wait long to use even during peak times. + Great selection of classes, very social atmosphere, constantly adapting to meet demand. Have tried tennis classes, yoga, pickleball, all very positive experiences. Personal trainers are knowledgeable. + Very family orientated, lots of activities for kids and bar and restaurant for parents to unwind. Great value for money for families. + Helpful and polite staff, issues are responded to by management fairly quickly although when escalated. + Good facilities for remote working. + Lots of community events in the bar/ restaurant area and special events for adults and families. The "Sip and Paint" class is a highlight. + Parking is generally sufficient. Only struggled to park once in a year at peak times. Some small room for improvements: - Treadmills are a little dated and don't always have full functionality compared to other DL Locations - Expensive: currently paying around £140 per person per month for membership which includes spa access. Price depends on tier and you can however access all equal or lower tier clubs around Europe, and it does motivate to go more often. It's great value factoring in the facilities especially if you have kids. - Many classes are fully subscribed - have to set alarms to book as soon as they open 8 days in advanced in many cases, however they have add more classes to accomodate demand. - They have recently introduced some limits to who you can use complimentary passes on to prevent same people from attending too many times. Disappointing. Overall, it is a great experience that has improved our lives since joining.

Negative experience: Car park is way too small for gym, between 5pm and 7pm you have to drive round repeatedly to try and find a space. Gym over subscribed. Maintenance on equipment not done enough and awful cables in centre of gym. Hamstring curl needs new bar as not straight. Some of the new bumper plates don’t fit on the old gym bars. Towels are crusty and feel like they haven’t been renewed since club opened. And in the summer you don’t stand a chance to relax in the nice weather by outdoor swimming pool because the family and kids stay there for the whole day taking up all the sun beds. (Like racing the Germans for sun beds on holiday) Spa is nice whenever I mention something needs doing nothing ever gets done.

Fantastic experience: Been to many other gyms and this particular one can’t be beaten in terms of service, cleanliness, classes, on site food and drink. It also has the best spa Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: So the first thing I would say is that it’s not cheap. The second thing is that you get what you pay for. Everything about this club is top class and high quality. I use the gym a lot, and although it is often busy there is plenty of equipment. It is so clean, there are always people cleaning the changing rooms and gym, and when I run on the treadmills they overlook the pool, almost every time I see people testing the water. And I go 4-5 times per week. I have been a member for about 18months, and a member of local gyms for about 20 years and I love it here. I would definitely recommend it. If you want to get fit you may as well do it in style!!

People always say to me “oooh, it’s expensive there” And my response is always “Not if you make the most of it!” I go at least 14 times a month and it’s worth every penny! The staff and instructors are absolutely amazing and make me feel so welcomed and empowered every time I go. BIG shout out to Kendall Green, Laura Glover, Kerry Miller, Kirsty Thomson & Mikey Bateman who have genuinely changed the way I look at exercise and now love, enjoy and look forward to my weekly dose of Rhythm, Spirit, Body Pump & Yoga!

Fantastic experience: Great facilities, a superb range of classes with excellent teachers, lovely spa, friendly staff and a busy and well run cafe. I really like the place and come regularly on my own to attend classes, have a coffee and enjoy a steam & sauna.

Fantastic experience: Before joining I’ve never stuck at a gym. But this has changed since I joined David Lloyd. I love it, from the cheery welcome at reception, to the pools, the huge gym where I can usually get on all the equipment that I want to without a wait, to relaxing in the spa and even down to the shower gel in the showers. And the free towel. It’s changed my behaviour. Brilliant.

Positive experience: I joined with my two children in April. Overall I am very happy with my experience so far: Body pump and Total Body Workout are amazing classes. As someone who was very self conscious in the gym classes I feel so much happier at David Lloyd than I’ve ever been anywhere else. People are non judgemental, kind and friendly. I also enjoy the holistic class offerings and have tried things I’ve never felt able to try before- yoga, meditation, even a silent dance class. Reception staff are amazing and always meet you with a welcoming smile. Instructors are really helpful and always happy to chat- Steve and Mikey are genuinely lovely people. Kids classes for 6-10’s are regular and fairly varied. Staff are also engaged and my daughter has a great time. There could be more for my 11 year old to do in terms of classs. Summer days by the pool are like mini holidays- I have never been so relaxed on a day out with the kids! The spa is somewhere I love to be! I feel genuinely refreshed and relaxed after spending time there. I love the chilled out vibe and the different spaces are really well thought out. I have loved trying out the extra social events too- Sip and Paint is something I’ve always wanted to try. The quiz is great fun and the monthly specials are always welcome. The food and drink is quite pricey (although the kids meals are great value) and I think there could be more variation but the food is tasty and drinks are varied. Joining David Lloyd has really added value to our lives and we are all feeling the benefits.

Fantastic experience: My friend Sarah Clarke and i had a tour at 3pm Monday with Jake. We thought Jake was excellent, professional, courteous. He responded well to both of our needs as potential members and went out of his way to be helpful. A first rate experience.

Negative experience: MY DAUGHTER'S JACKET STOLEN!!! A place where you think is safe, thieve's business is blooming. Keep your eyes open for anything you bring with you because there's good chance you'll leave without it!

Positive experience: Been a member for a few years now and I feel they have gone down hill a bit spa is not as clean as it used to be and feel the place is over subscribed as I can never get a parking space

Positive experience: Crazy how they don’t turn on the saunas here until 6 am meaning they aren’t hot until about 7:30. Glad this isn’t my home gym as I’d cancel my membership can’t use sauna before work

From knowing members names on arrival (the little touches make the difference) to holding conversations with the children and genuinely caring about ensuring the members feel welcomed. I've been attending BodyPump classes with our fantastic instructors Steve and Mikey for a while now, and I have to say they are simply the best! The classes are always fun, energetic, and full of positive vibes. The instructors bring an infectious energy that keeps everyone motivated and pumped up throughout the session. Their personable and friendly approach makes each class enjoyable and welcoming, ensuring everyone feels included and encouraged. They truly know how to make working out a blast while pushing us to achieve our fitness goals. I can't imagine my fitness journey without their amazing guidance and support. Thank you for making every class an incredible experience!

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed visiting David Lloyd. I went with a member as a guest and went swimming. The pool was lovely, perfect temperature and plenty of space to do lengths or chill. Outside pool is heated and was really nice too. I was also happy with the food, although it was rather expensive (£19 for a burger and bottle of beer)

Fantastic experience: I have recently become a member after a lovely welcome tour from Emma, who was very attentive to my individual goals and able to tailor her focus accordingly... A great first impression and I am very much looking forward to making the most of my membership!

I do regular Aqua Classes with Kendal Green, amazing fitness and so much fun. I have really improved my swimming with Swim coach Sharon and her Master Swim. Personal Training with James Catlin keeps me active in the gym All the club staff are so friendly and professional. Makes being in the club room and spa areas a real joy.

Fantastic experience: On August 10th, I had the pleasure of participating in the Pickleball tournament organized by Coach Jeff Burley. It was a wonderful, joyful, fun time, with a great music playlist. A very social program where you can have the pleasure of meeting different people, making friends and even sharing different experiences. I highly recommend Pickleball for anyone of any age. You burn calories and have fun at the same time. Jeff may I say it an absolute pleasure to participate in these activities with and is a great asset to David Lloyd. A very professional and well organized person.

Negative experience: Im new to the club 2nd month into a 12 month contract the gym itself is great, however….For the amount you pay per month £175 the service is horrendous don't even think about ordering food let alone a drink and getting it within an hour…. Most of the time you have to go get it yourself because it’s sat on the bar swarming in flies this is not a one off thing this level of service is constant!!! Separately i understand the lifeguards don’t actually want to take responsibility of over seeing the kids. But making you stand over your child in the baby pool for hours is a little over the top. Unfortunately I really don't think I’ll be recommending this club to anyone.

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd’s has literally changed my life both physically and mentally With the help and support of a personal trainer, amazing classes and new friends I’ve lost 2.5 stone gained muscle and strength and at 70 I am fitter and stronger than I’ve ever been.

Positive experience: Been a member at DL Emersons a few years and shout out to the reception team, and lovely Lou, who always smiles and greets everyone warmly! Lewis, head of racquets is an amazing tennis coach for kids and adults alike. He also listens to feedback and has implemented lots of changes to make the courts work harder to accommodate as many players as possible and enjoy fun tournaments and celebrations. And all the blaze team and PTs are fantastic. In particular Di from blaze who always has a packed class because she’s warm, professional, motivational and most importantly teaches form really clearly so it’s easier not to injure yourself during tough classes with new moves. Love her classes.

Fantastic experience: Kendall is fab as always!! The rhythm class is my favourite class by far in David Lloyd. She brings the energy and the workout to get that sweat!

Although there are minor issues from time to time, my over-whelming experience at this amazing gym is one of sheer joy! My main activity is playing Pickleball but I enjoy the cycling classes, swimming, gym floor, spa and bar! I’ve met a whole host of new mates which has made my early retirement so much more fulfilling. The staff at David Lloyd are fantastic, although special mention to Tom who is a joyous blur of frantic positive energy, focused on ensuring the very best customer experience. Fantastic experience: Took a little while to decide to join this club but now I wish I’d done is so much sooner. My life has certainly gone up a few notches. All the staff from entering the building and throughout my visits are nothing but caring and professional. It absolutely makes my day every time I go. Never done an aqua fit class before till last Wednesday because I thought I wouldn’t be able to manage it and since then I’ve done 3 in a week. All I feel down to an amazing instructor in Kendall. I cannot thank David Lloyd Emersons Green for making my first visit so uplifting that I never want to stop going.

Positive experience: David Lloyd Emerson’s green is more of a health club than a gym, it really enhances both my mental and physical health. The instructors, particularly Kendall are amazing, so motivating and full of energy. The club does get very busy during peak times, particular classes you need to book quite far in advance as they get booked up, therefore more classes on the timetable would be beneficial. Noticeable changes and improvements have been made since the new manager has come, whereas before everything felt pretty stagnant. The club puts on social evenings and events which is great if you want to pop along to those. The only thing I would complain about is the fact the monthly fee goes up every single year without fail by quite a considerable amount, but we don’t seem to be getting anymore for this additional cost, which is getting ridiculous and seems unjustified. Overall would recommend.

Positive experience: Lots of great things to say about this club. The classes are great & some classes made by the instructors. A huge shout out to Kendal for the postive energy she brings to every session! A massive shout out to Sam & Kendal for the amazing choreography & professionalism they bring to each class. Fantastic experience: I have been a member of David Lloyd for 3 years, and it has changed my life. They offer a range of high and low impact classes, which are suited for everyone. Fantastic experience: Since joining David Lloyd it’s changed my life, its not just a gym it’s a lifestyle, the Gym is excellent and the equipment is always up to date, the facilities are fantastic especially the pools and the Spa. Always clean and tidy to.
