Fantastic experience: Great gym with great staff. Classes included in price more than make membership worthwhile. Emma, Taylor and Aaron's classes are hard work but great fun. Can't praise them enough

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym!

Fantastic experience: After moving to Cumbernauld in 2021, and needing a new gym, I was able to join JD Gyms after Covid barriers had been lifted. Initially whilst the facility was fresh and new, it felt like it was for young gymers only, however I gave it a chance and actually wouldn't go anywhere else now as the facilities are always clean and never feels like you have to queue for any equipment and there's ample space for everything, and the price is excellent. I hope when the Cumbernauld Town Centre is inevitably raised to the ground this same spec JD Gym can exist in the new setup.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with all the equipment I need. One gripe…wish they would fix the seat adjuster on the leg press, so stiff it can’t be moved…….have mentioned to manager but still the same ….pleeeeeease fix it. I’ll bring in my own WD40

Fantastic experience: Great gym clean and machines in good condition. Only downside no blue roll for use within the gym.

Negative experience: Equipment poorly maintained and half not working properly or working but not functioning through out the movement. Customer service is shocking on when trying to call up regarding anything payment wise I have tried ti resolve an issue for three days and been on hold for over an hour each time with no response. Would avoid untill the club is a better standard or go to another JD

Negative experience: awful place the lift is always full of idiots covered in perfume who are to lazy to walk to the gym

Positive experience: Good gym lots of space and machines staff are helpful but the music could probably be quieter.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities for a cheap price. Never short of machines and I love the women's only area of the gym. Staff are friendly and helpful and the changing rooms are clean and well equipped.

Negative experience: WORST GYM EVER DO NOT COME HERE

Positive experience: Gym itself is fine, good staff but some weird fight club thing going on in the hall most nights with a guy that clearly is just looking for trouble playing terrible music

Positive experience: Same equipment as PureGym, more space, better lighting.

Negative experience: So noisy that you can hear the weights being dropped on the floor from the library above. Bad neighbours to have.

Fantastic experience: Staff are brilliant, never been in a gym till 2 months ago and happy to help with anything, I think most of the staff do personal training but like I say happy to help with anything and for £20 a month the gym is brilliant! Clean, tidy and plenty equipment

Positive experience: Absolutely love spin class with Kelly!! Really fun and really welcoming. Works hard. Don't turn up even a minute late for JD Burn with David as he will not let you join even when there are only 5 other people there. He will be quite rude about it and make you feel stupid in front of people. Really unprofessional and not welcoming in the slightest.

Positive experience: Quite an average gym apart from cheap cardio equipment and some weight equipment outdated, ignoring of messages on messenger, no intention of upgrading dumbells and no reason why so just ignore you same as PureGym , more phones lifted than weights but that's most gyms these days, feel a tad overpriced also £14.99 is more reasonable for a core membership, overall it's an ok gym

Negative experience: Dirty showers no heating and zero notice at front door re this. It's as cold inside the gym as it is outdoors. Shocking. Would not recommend to anyone. Unhelpful staff as couldn't even tell us why no notice to say heating is broken AGAIN

Fantastic experience: Great Gym. Bright and very spacious. It has everything you need. The opening and closing times are excellent for working around your schedule. It's 19.99 per month no contract to become a member. Plus NO need for a instruction tour of the Gym. You just sign up online and get the code to come and go as you please.

Positive experience: Excellent gym , I go every week the staff there are really nice aswell and just all in one a very comfortable place, my only issue is the music that gets played is pish , I usually always bring headphones to play my own but when i dont I feel like sticking two needles into my lugs to burst my eardrums , demotivating remixes of songs , I've heard better music shopping in tesco.

Positive experience: Love using the cardio and pin weights upstairs. Just wish all the cardio equipment wasnt facing the weights. Had a few awkward moments of locking eyes with people haha.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great equipment, lots of space. Quiet in the morning, which is great. Changing room is perfect. Very clean.

Positive experience: Excellent equipment and looks fantastic in the layout. My only gripe is personal which is that because some people don't use the equipment efficiently or maybe lack the knowledge the machines can be taken for up to half an hour before you get to do your sets.

Fantastic experience: I was a little wary of signing up for JD gyms as I expected it wouldn't be great for the price. I was very wrong. The gym is huge and really not that busy. I go early to avoid the rush but there's lots of different cable weight machines and free weights along with a studio for classes and a dedicated spin studio as well. I really couldn't recommend it more. Easy entry, clean gym with lots of different equipment. Definitely worth a look.

Negative experience: My rating is not based on the gym itself. I'm sure the facilities are fantastic, staff will be nice and it will be a clean environment if it's like the old "exercise 4 less" that it replaced then 5 star. This review is to do with payment and fraud ish behaviour. I had a membership with exercise 4 less. When the company went "under", I assumed my membership did also. During covid, the gym reopened in April as JD. I recieved one email that I figured was spam... I noticed in November I had been charged £20 per month for 7/8 months for a gym I didnt know I was a member. I wrote, sent several complaints... Nada. I think it is extremely unfair, I got zero texts, emails, calls, anything. I didn't sign a contract. On top of this my membership with exercise 4 less was 10 pound per month. Not £20. Now I have cancelled, I am absolutely bombarded with texts and emails. It is border-line harassment. The gym is comparable to a girlfriend that doesn't want me, but also doesn't want anyone to have me lol Seems pretty shawdy that they were happy taking my money. My login would prove I never entered the gym. No reimbursement, no free gym to compensate even though in court they have zero grounds in any shape or form. Would have been easily solved. Felt like I'm sort of peeing against the wind though, getting the impression the complaints team is being monitored by Stevie Wonder. Poor show JD Gyms. I mentioned if we could not come to an agreement I'd have to give a fair review. You forced my hand. Edit... gym has given me the option for a free 6 month membership to recompensate me, may 2022.

Negative experience: Was noticeably uncomfortable on my first visit here only saw one member of staff the 45 minutes I was frozen stiff and couldn't move due to extreme anxiety...the member of staff walked past around 6 times and never introduced themselves or asked if I was ok or needed any help...it took a lot to pluck up the courage to go in the first place and the welcome I got made me regret the effort...not for everyone I suppose and certainly not for those who might need extra assistance with mental health issues...pretty disappointed as equipment and set up looked really good but the atmosphere and professionalism was a real let down...I'll just keep working out at home

Fantastic experience: First night at the gym, was brilliant. Went to the spin class, really lovely instructor. Looking forward to trying out the gym tomorrow morning!

Positive experience: Need more policing of people sitting on machines for long periods on their phones.

Fantastic experience: I go first thing 6am. Everything is clean and well laid out. Massive selection of kit, even has a Crossfit section. Fairly busy at 6am, very busy in the evenings.
