Negative experience: Rang up to ask what time the best time would be for me and my one year old to go for a swim attended the session and it was full of teenagers/older children behaving badly balls being thrown all over the pool big kids jumping in in the shallow end nearly knocking my 1 year old out his float no consideration for the baby lifeguards are useless and seem to have no authority changing rooms disgusting dirty nappies on the floor mud all over the floor in the cubicles showers are to hot to rinse a baby in not another parent in site changed a lot over the years I would avoid at all costs if your have young children

Fantastic experience: Cool little spot this, didn't even know it existed until my daughter's started swimming there. Tim is a great swimming instructor. The gym is quite small, but looks decent enough!

Fantastic experience: Saddleworth Pool and Leisure Centre is a solid local option for fitness and leisure, though it does have its limitations. The pool is decent and can get busy at times, it's generally well-maintained and clean. The gym, while small, is equipped with an extensive range of machines or weights. Despite the size, the space is well-organized, and everything is kept tidy and in good condition.

But please please please if you send your daughters for public swim please please go with them, the amount of dirty men circling around young girls (not young woman, YOUNG GIRLS) was utterly disgusting and staff need to he trained to see this so they can remove when needed.

Positive experience: The gym is decent, but wish they’d add some decent lat pull-down attachments like a mag grip or elbow width grip. Overall it’s okay for beginners but after a while you outgrow it. The dumbells only go up to 44kg and there’s one bench press and one squat rack which is annoying. It gets the job done though, but I’d definitely rather go to kiss gym.

Negative experience: Such a poor gym. I live 100yds away and I still drive to Kiss. Not enough equipment and what there is, isn't in a good state. I do however play football and the litter, state of the nets and upkeep of the fences is appalling. The most expensive prices around, too. Worst of all is the cleanliness. They closed for refurb not too long ago and not sure what they did. Changing rooms are grimey, sweaty, lack ventilation on for some reason people just don't use the changing booths. It's not a comfortable environment to take my son in to.

Positive experience: I joined the gym but is always so packed, and there is no space for stretching or even a warm-up before training. The staff are barely there to help, apart from just walking around in circles. When asked for help, no one knows what to do. I'm going there because it's the closest to me. Not even mentioning the amount of small kids coming and hanging on the equipment and making fun instead of letting adults properly train.

Fantastic experience: I take my 5 yr old for swimming lessons at Saddleworth Pool and Leisure Centre. After a recent session she was in the shower, apparently alone, though I was watching from the shower entrance. Her instructor in the 'orange hat' group noticed from the pool side and, being unable to see me, gently enquired if the child was alone, alright etc. I showed that I was with her and the instructor was apologetic at having interfered! I was so impressed by her professional sense of responsibility which obviously extended beyond her swimming lesson and to the well-being of any child in the pool environment. Very well done and thank you.

Fantastic experience: Kids swimming lessons are here. The swim teachers are great with the kids, especially my reluctant and sometimes stubborn son! Have also made use of the 5 a side facilities which are also great. I believe the gym is good value for money too and classes always seem packed.

Positive experience: I go to the aqua classes twice a week if I can manage to book a class ,it's a very popular class so maybe more classes could be put on so More members could attend,Lisa who runs the class is lovely and I have limited mobility and she is always available to help if needed,the steps in and out of the water are difficult for people with mobility issues and although they have a hoist system to use I would be too embarrassed to use it.All in all a great class with lovely people x

Fantastic experience: Not too busy. Operating an appointment system. Plenty of sanitiser available to clean the equipment before and after use. Friendly staff on hand to offer advice re the new additional rules to help stay safe . Good to be back in the gym after 5 months away

Fantastic experience: What's not to like about Saddleworth Pool and Leisure Centre. The Gym has been upgraded and also the sauna. The members there all different ability levels and you don't feel out of place like you can at other gyms. There are many exercise classes you can attend and the employees are very helpful.

They're happy to help you if you need any help. The leisure centre is situated in a scenic & quiet spot. Surrounded by a small boutique village. The Scenic Beauty is outstanding.

Positive experience: A very small pool. Difficult to find if you didn't know where it is. Plenty of facilities. Parking is also available on site. Out door pitches. Large gym and studio. Only let down is the pool and the seating area is limited.

Fantastic experience: Great place, lovely staff. Went there for baby swimming session. Be aware the pool only 28 Celsius so recommend to buy swimming suite for your baby as they can get cold quickly and feel discomfort which can ruin your joy with the session in no time.

FANTASTIC STAFF who are well organized, extremely helpful going above and beyond to help you and they know what they are doing! Local centre you can get to if you rely on public transport. MINOR negative: number of lockers out of order, hairdryers not working/working properly.

Negative experience: Despite recent revamp nothing has been done about the mouldy grouting on the tiles in the womens changing rooms. The inside walled area of the pool looks grubby and the areas around the steps are still rusty.

Positive experience: Mens changing room poor lots of lockers do not work only 2 showers for Gym and swimming pool users. The pool itself is apparently 25 metres but feels too narrow. There are a number of stained/marked tiles in the actual pool.
