Fantastic experience: I would like to say a huge thank you to Jamie and Tom who were fantastic-giving us a tour of the complex and explaining everything thoroughly so we knew where everything was. The whole complex was fantastic-the huge gym had all imaginable equipment there..the squash and even table tennis room was amazing. They run lots of classes,again allsorts from yoga to aqua aerobics to more high intensity classes like spinning. The three pools are really good-the hydropool especially with its waterbeds and waterfall shower. The sanarium was unusual to have, steam room excellent. Thoroughly and utterly recommend this complex ..everything for everyone of all levels of fitness.

Positive experience: Absolutely love this gym but the hygiene is very poor. While gym goers and cleaners should both clean used equipment, it's quite fifthly after multiple wipes. Pictured a dirty barbell that took many wipes to get clean, along with others.

Positive experience: Nice place but unfortunately last time been swimming the big pool dirty and the floor with green damp and sauna the floor dirty too. Please just to be aware because the cleaning is the main of the place.

Fantastic experience: It's a huge gym, and the facilities are clean, especially the changing rooms. (Sometimes, the studios can be dirty, but that's within the acceptable range.)Tom, who explained the gym to me, was very kind and polite. I have been busy, so I can only take my favorite class, but time permitting, I'd like to take other classes too. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Facilities are excellent, from the gym through to the pool and steam room. Lots of different classes to choice from to suit all. Staff and personnel trainers are all friendly and helpful. And lovely area to relax and have a coffee after a hard workout

Positive experience: Been a member of this gym for a few months now, definitely enjoying it and I would definitely recommend. My reason for 4 stars is that I would say as it is quite a busy gym it definitely needs more equipment I don't feel there is enough for the amount of people that go here. Other than that, great.

Negative experience: Too many members. Outdated machines. Broken spin bikes which are extremely dangerous.

Negative experience: I have been a member now for over 12 months and although initially the gym needed some TLC and following a big increase in new members there have been improvements and more equipment, I unfortunately find myself faced with no parking which results in me not being able to park and going home again. Or getting into the gym and being faced with the gym floor being rammed with members and machines out of order It’s so frustrating to the point now that I will be looking for another gym after coming out of the gym on Monday only to be faced with a enforcement man about to put a parking ticket on my car for not parking in a dedicated space… I was not blocking anyone in or causing an obstruction to any other vehicle, I just wanted to go to MY GYM that I pay £49 per month for .Total Fitness you should be ashamed for penalising your members for your lack of providing adequate parking for your members.

Negative experience: One of the worst gyms you can go to the staff are rude, arrogant you don't get made to feel welcome, half of the equipment doesn't work the changing room is a mess the showers are filthy if your looking for a new gym I would never recommend total fitness to anyone for the price of the membership in total fitness it's definitely not worth it

Positive experience: Great gym for the money when you consider the pool/ sauna/ steam/ hydro included. Just wish the opening hours were longer…

Positive experience: Needs a bit of TLC. Classes get cancelled without notice. Showers are constantly barely warm. Always seems to have faults with steam room or the Sauna.

Negative experience: Lots of things that are just not getting fixed, the aircon has been off all summer making us feel sick when working out as it feels like a sauna upstairs, it’s been a week since all the water fountains broke upstairs and still no one has fixed it, the swimwear in the ladies toilet has been broken for months now. Every day when we walk through there are notes of things that are not working. Quite embarrassing for total fitness considering how much the membership cost.

Negative experience: I do like this gym. Plenty of good things. But apart from the cleanliness issue, which we all know about ( especially the ladies) the Spin Studio must be improved. Too many bikes , which are also poor , poor . No bikes at all with cleat facility, even basis SPD , saddles facing down at the front so that you cannot sit down, but which cannot be adjusted. I could go on . Please use your extra funds from an influx of members from a rival gym to show that you can compete.

Fantastic experience: Went for 1st time yesterday. It is amazing, and iv only seen the pool area so far!!!! Love the 25m pool. Sanarium and Jacquzi. The water fountains were an excellent feature. Really sorted my shoulders out!! I will be there a little more now!

Negative experience: Went to Aqua class but nobody turned up to teach. Not good. Also no loo roll in lavatory. Poor service.

Negative experience: Standing in front of the cafe for ages to get served staff is either chatting or looking at their phone . Make it self service it’s quicker .

Negative experience: Small pool closed for children during part of school holidays, if no life guards available. Then no access to main pool if adult only times.child dressed to swim and then told no access to the pools. Very distressed child. Reception told member they could access the pool lack of communication

Negative experience: Used to be good, I was a member for nearly 2 years. Now staffed by 16 year olds with zero customer experience. Reception told us pools were open for under 15’s, checked on way in, walked to the completely empty poolside with my 3 year old and then told they aren’t open due to it being adult hour (not one single person in there). Cancelled all my memberships. (Update) Have now moved to everlast- child friendly and half the cost with a pool, steam, room sauna annd jacuzzi and better gym.

Negative experience: The swimming pool, changing rooms and steam area are nice, but the gym itself is a shambles. Dirty equipment (I will update with pictures), the manager admitting he knew the leg press is broken but is still allowing members to use it - staff turning a blind eye to groups of young teenagers literally throwing weights they can barely lift around in the "over 18s" section; and a very curt, rude receptionist with platinum hair and glasses who appears only to be friendly to the fellow members of staff you have the cheek to interrupt her from speaking with.

I joined for swimming lessons(not contract ).but they are deducting money monthly without any notice( card details will be saved in their system)so don't forget to freeze it before due date. price is too high. and the trainer told me they don't have swimming lessons.

Fantastic experience: It's a very good gym, and updated at today 30/01/23, I say that the staff is very nice and competent. I just cancelled my membership and they were very nice ( the reason of my cancellation is because I am looking for a 24h gym). I suggest it even because even when it's superbusy you manage to do your workout. Good Bye TF

Negative experience: If you want to be in a youth club this is the place for you, lots of young kids here, messing around, staff can't be bothered managing the weight area

Negative experience: It’s a shame because this review would easily be 5/5 if it wasn’t for me the broken air conditioning/the inability to turn it on due to one yoga class (it varies depending on who is asked) Given the cost of a membership, it’s quite worrying that the money isn’t going to making sure the gym is safe for those using it and with the summer months approaching, they are currently not up to standard.

Negative experience: BEWARE! Tried to cancel early because the gym isn't up to standard and they said no. Told them not to renew my contract and they've just taken £484 from my bank account without authorisation. The reason I no longer want to be a member is a lot of the equipment is in desperate need of repairs/replacement. My friend cut his hand on one machine because a part kept falling off and the staff kept putting it back on incorrectly. There are also leaks from the ceiling in the studio which means buckets in the middle of the room. The sauna was closed off for a long time and there were frequent issues with the hydropool. Also lots of issues with showers being out of order, toilet roll not being topped up etc. And it was often too busy. Considering this is one of the most expensive gyms in Wrexham I feel it's unacceptable to operate with old rundown machines and frequent issues. And now I've had £484 taken from my bank account unexpectedly and I don't know how hard I'll have to fight to get my money back... I highly recommend avoiding this company.

Negative experience: Leg press and Smith machine been broken for weeks now. Cable machine now broken and will likely be the same despite also being one of the most used pieces of equipment. Water fountain in the gym area has been out of order for weeks. Urinals have been out of order for about a week now. Toilets rarely stocked with toilet paper. Disabled shower out of order. Pretty pathetic since people are paying £40+ a month for facilities and so many of them are out of order and have been for a while now, on top of that, theyve hiked prices up. Won't be sticking around until my after my contract is up unless things change drastically.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed today with the professional team at Total fitness in Wrexham. From enquiry as to the availability of the small pool for my granddaughter and guest, Greg provided that information, ensuring it was backed up with a phone call. All in all one very happy 4 year old granddaughter and happy family. Thank you Greg and team.

Negative experience: Dirty and outdated! Good selection of machines that are unfortunately in an awful state. The whole place is in need of a decent clean. In the couple of hours I was there I didn't see a single person clean the machine/weights after them , that's just trash gym etiquette. A lot of staff and 'personal trainers' standing around leaming on machines whilst having a good gossip leaving paying clients unable to use them. Really pathetic selection of free Weights, but judging by the people I saw there, I doubt they'd be used anyway The fitness class rooms looked a really decent size though so classes are possibly better than the gym. The couple of squash courts I saw also needed a good scrub too. I can't comment on the small pools as I didn't use them but they seemed to have a few guys sitting in them and chilling, maybe they can't swim? If you're the type that wants to say to people that you're a gym member this place may be OK, if you're actually into Weight training I'd say total fitness Is the worse gym (and most expensive) in wrexham. I find it hard to take any health centre seriously when they seem hell bent on selling you high calorie 'smoothies' or sugar filled drinks, the group of old ladies endulging in biscuits and hot drinks seemed to like the social side of the place though.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym. Nice relaxed friendly feel. Good sized free gym car parking. Slightly not as wide main pool but very nice high standard experience with large windows at one end. Seperate teaching pool. Gym well equipt with good lighting and high airy pool area roof and multiple featured various clever pool side water spa area with sauna and slightly smaller steam room but with nice chill seating bench area and ussual seperate hot and cold showers. Changing rooms well equipped tidy and clean with regular inspections and seperate single/family shower cubicals. Looking forward to visiting again when in area.
