Jubilee Hall Gym

Negative experience: I've been a member for around 15 years but it's now time to move on. The physical space and the revamp of this gym (a few years back) was great, but unfortunately the place has been going downhill over the past few years such as things breaking down that are just left for months on end, the dilapidated state of the bathrooms/toilets and lack of cleaning/checking, the deteriorating state of some of the equipment, the lack of health and safety in terms of machine placement etc. It's understandable that a charity has little money, but there is no excuse for not addressing some of these issues such as fixing smaller items, cleanliness and health and safety concerns. The temperature of the gym on hot summer days can be unbearable and unsuitable for working out because staff haven’t put the aircon on or it isn’t working, which happens every year. In winter, the gym is absolutely freezing because the heating hasn’t been switched on and windows are left wide open. Either way, there is no attention being paid to the conditions outside/inside. This has caused myself and others to avoid using the gym on many days. Another issue is the dismissive attitude and apathy of management toward customers concerns and feedback.There is a fundamental customer service issue here where management seem to have forgotten that they have paying customers. The organisation of the gym is a shambles with the priorities of customers coming second to everything else such as staff events and imposed use of space by group classes. On a positive note, I will say that one or two of the frontline staff are generally great but unfortunately don't get enough credit for their hard work. It is a very friendly, social and inclusive gym, which ls one regret I will have about leaving there. I really hope Jubilee Hall up's it's game, because it really needs to.

Negative experience: Amazing place, amazing staff who obviously love their jobs & are more like a family UPDATE Hi. I am extremely upset as I have been paying Jubilee Hall gym in Covent Garden for the last two years as you're a charity & i haven't visited once in two year's (March 2022) but not a single email to see how I am. The second my bank messes up you're all over this. My bank messed up & I got paid my monthly PIP a week late on Friday the 12th of April 2024. I'd ask for a refund but we all know they'll say no!! Many thanks for nothing! Update, I've had 3 maybe more people emailing me me & obviously none of them had read my previous emails. I requested a refund & to start again but the 2 years I have paid despite not going was ignored & a man called Dave sent me a very cut & paste & insulting email saying 'You can come in & pay the outstanding £34 & you can use the gym, healthy regards pencil pusher Dave.' It used to be such a nice place. Update, today is Tuesday April the fifteenth 2024 & despite emailing them last week to say 'please take the money from my account as I now have funds.' The email from another totally different woman to say she has closed my account. I have emailed back to ask them not to close my account & please take the money from my account & I will be seeking legal advice. Obviously no reply so I will go in there tomorrow, (Wednesday April the sixteenth 2024) to hopefully resolve this utter farce & debacle. When I joined two years ago I wrote a well deserved review praising the staff & they even asked me to be in a promotional video to say how great the staff were & how much they had helped my mental health & I was happy to but they never followed through. I even got a message on Trust Pilot from the CEO thanking me. Shame I should have realized they were like all the big chain gyms & the staff were hypocritical & didn't care about the clients but we're just money grabbing wage slaves.

Fantastic experience: Why would anyone go to a gym that has very little natural lighting....the well being and body needs light as a basic... Jubilee Hall has a unique open to light ceiling over the whole gymn....and their equipment and team as well as the members create a unique motivating environment.. If your thinking of reviving your body and well being ...even raising the dead This is the place ..... Honestly why would anyone who is interested in natural health go to a gymn in a shed , basement etc with no light ... The classes are intelligent and thoughtful for all body types .....and the team motivate ..yes they really motivate in a safe way during the classes.... I stop going 20 years ago and I am 64 and amazed I can lift weights again ...thanks also to a personal training session that gave me confidence with hip flexor chronic pain And the people that come here all seem very grounded

Fantastic experience: The staff at the jubilee hall is super friendly, and are clearly here to help you. The gym itself is very well equipped with plate loaded and cable machines as well as a few squat racks. It is also quite spacious, so you don’t run into anybody if the gym is crowded. Overall great experience, would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: The team at Jubilee Hall gym are super friendly and professional. I've been working out at the gym on and off for over 20 years. I love the light in the gym space. It's a beautiful building packed with great equipment. Our Breathe London therapy centre is based at the centre. We have four beautiful treatment rooms with therapies including massage, acupuncture, podiatry and physiotherapy. Jubilee Hall gym is a great place to work out and re-energise.

Fantastic experience: We've been here a couple of times and will be back. It has all the hear you need for a serious weights session. There is far more space than is usual in a London gym and the natural light is great versus the usual basement locations! It's accessible through the Hussle app which we also love. Staff are friendly as well.

Fantastic experience: This gym is a hidden gem! In the heart of London, in Covent Garden!! Starting from the staff which are all incredibly polite and professional. The facilities are fantastic, from the machines to the free weights. Enough space for everyone and the gym members are friendly easy going folks who always have a good word to say. I love this gym, so would you if you ever visit!

Negative experience: Feel dirty and old, especially the mats; the changing rooms are very old in need of renovation; and the Sauna is now turned Off for saving and only on if requested 30 mins b4 the time you need to use it.

Negative experience: the staff were rude, we were sitting outside the gym, not even blocking the entrance, when a person of your staff in a rude way tells us to go away in an unpleasant tone exactly said (by, hello, adios, shosho), we will have moved immediately, we are polite, but the staff was not . have a good day

After Mark manager left to be a police man the place took a manger dive with ugly attitude and the price of 90 pounds for a council gym outrageous rest the same if you don't mind paying then enjoy pure gyms everywhere 24 hours not a glamorous but if I wanted glamorous and not cheap will join Gym Box Bank

Fantastic experience: This is a cool gym. I liked the natural lighting granted by the fact it’s now in a basement or some other small and dark place.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this gym. I signed up for a monthly contract so that I would be able to cancel at any time. When I needed to cancel, I was told I need to pay another extra month at the end. When I refused, they denied me access for a month I had already paid for.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, loads of equipment, great classes, friendly staff and good facilities. Has reciprocal deals with other local pools which make up for the lack of a swimming pool in house.

Fantastic experience: I've had memberships at three gyms in central London, and this is by far the best. It's nice and open, and both the staff and the regulars are friendly and non-judgemental. Definitely the best weight room in the area. I have been coming here since July and have not had a bad experience. They recently replaced a lot of the equipment, and while some of the equipment is still pretty old, it's mostly things not affected by age, like dumbbells. I go first thing in the morning when it opens and it's not crowded at all, which I love. Tends to get quite crowded in the afternoon, but what can you expect in central London? The prices are extremely reasonable. I'll be quite sad if I move away from this area because I doubt I'll find a gym as nice.

Positive experience: I had lived in the area before and this was the preferred fitness club for me and my colleagues. The instructors are trained and the hall is equipped well. I recommend going there if you want to be in a good shape.

Positive experience: I had been there before, I liked it and I'm planning to become a member soon. This fitness centre is affordable. I think that being fit is from great importance. And regular tranings may help you avoid health problems and diseases.
