Fantastic experience: What a lovely find. Great warm pool with 3 water slides (one very small one for the little kids, one medium for children up to 7 years and the big one for all ages) A wave machine that runs twice every hour was a brilliant experience for my big kids and husband! Pool is lovely and warm as is the general air of the room. The pool is a gradual decent into the deep end so almost like a beach (no steps) which is perfect for little ones to toddle in. There is a spectators area with seats and tables The changing rooms felt clean and there were plenty of them (although we had a short wait for a large family changing cubicle but not overly long considering it was the school holidays and the pool was at capacity) There is loads of free parking outside. The lockers take old style pound coins or a pound token (like you would use for a trolley) you can buy these at reception. The reception has a small shop behind (we needed to purchase goggles and a they also had some swimming costumes and noodles etc) Upstairs is a cafe which looked reasonably priced but we didn't use it and a small soft play area. My only comment would be it was very very busy and I wonder if maybe the capacity numbers are a little on the high side during school holidays. If you wanted to do any actual swimming it would be very difficult as there were simply too many people in the pool.

Negative experience: Very ride staff, very crowded pool,it's called a swimming pool and you can't swim, you have people bumping into you and to make it worse the showers are unisex! Don't go here

Fantastic experience: Only ever used the pool here but the pool is loved by the kids. It has waves every few minutes and a decent slide. It's a beach style pool, so you walk into it from shallow to deep. A small pool for very small children with a little slide is part of it. When you purchase your tickets you are given a colour, this represents when to get out of the pool basically and when your colour flashes it's time to get out. There is a viewing area right by the pool so you can chat and leave items with friends/family. Changing rooms are ok, a few family changing rooms. They could do with fixing the showers, the water out of the showers is pathetic even when you are the only one using them, pretty useless really but that doesn't bother me too much as I always shower when I get home.

Negative experience: Haven’t been to the baths for a long time, I was shocked to see how the pool walls were, grime around the pool walls, black filth by the handles around the pool, steps to large slide disgusting, I’m hoping they close to give it a deep clean and touch up with a lick of paint.

Positive experience: Had never been until last week. We took the Children swimming and they wanted slides (water park) but we wanted low cost and this was perfect. Was £18 for a family of 4, there's a big swirly slide, and two smaller slides in the under 7 section. Every 30mins roughly the waves were activated in the pool. Plenty of lockers available and clean changing rooms. There were a few bits in the pool from the artificial hanging baskets above the pool which could do with being cleaned out. But overall we had a great couple of hours

Negative experience: Revisited as heard it was revamped. Not changed at all in 15 years. Fire alarm went off whilst in the pool, staff hadn't got a clue how to handle the situation. Really hope management has done risk assessment following what I witnessed

Fantastic experience: Been using it years, great gym good equipment, clean, has swimming baths and various exercise classes via a membership of 28.99 for everything or different tiers for what you wanna access, also pay as you go.

Positive experience: The pool is fab and the revamped chaing area is amazing! The cafe is very rarely available which is a pitty and the vending machines always seem to be of order and don't offer healthy options , which after a swim is always a must.

Fantastic experience: Marvellous swimming facilities for kids & adults alike. The wave machine & the water slide are adored by the grandchildren. The changing rooms are top-notch....the place has undergone a refurbishment lately. 45 minutes from me living on the Wirral, but it's well worth the trip. I must add that we aren't keen swimmers & go for fun, but there are classes for different aqua activities.

Fantastic experience: Mingers!!! This review isn’t directed at the leisure centre, but at the absolute mingers who think it’s appropriate to leave dirty nappies on the floor of the changing rooms.

Fantastic experience: Lovely pool. Visited today with my kids (7 and 5). Perfect for their age. Big slide and waves were alternated. Waves were great and lasted a long time when they were on. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend for a visit with young children. Good admission price too.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place, went there on Sunday with a lady I support for first time, the staff were so nice and helpful, showed us the disabled changing and showering. It was clean and spacious equipped with different chairs for different disability disability and quiet. The pool slopes down into init, so from a person with a disability this place ticks all the boxes, plus it's very family oriented, with a slide for big and little kids. Overall its brillant for what it offers, it's not to much and not enough, will definitely be comi g again with family and work

Negative experience: Swimming area is great for children. However, reason for 2 start is the cafe does not cater for babies. I asked for some hot water to make up my 7mo bottle (he has a milk allergy so is prescribed a dairy free formula) I was told by staff that they are not allowed to give water for babies and they cannot even warm up baby food. Hungry baby and disappointed child having to leave early after we’d just paid for the soft play. Really disappointed as every other restaurant or cafe I have ever been to has always catered for babies.

Positive experience: Had a nice swim this morning. The changing rooms are so modern, they look appealing to the eye. Although I'd recommend taking sliders/flip flops as the floor is super super slippy. I'd say it's quite dangerous. The slides are good!

Fantastic experience: Great day out !!! The wave machine and water slide is always a hit. Especially 'family fun' event at the pool. Great little cafe upstairs with soft play area. You MUST by a locker token (on a keyring) at the desk, but you can keep it and re-use.

Positive experience: The outside looks extremely dated, but for the money the facilties are good. The pool is relatively big, the waves are entertaining for the kids, the slide has been there 30 odd years, so has the crocodile in the kids bit but the whimsy and nostalgia make it fun - even if they are a bit rusty and showing their age. Facilities are okay, a wee bit dirty in the cubicles, but we went on a sunday evening so it was bound to be a bit scruffier as they were closing in a bit. The shower water is hot and the angles are bloody awful, other than that good value for money and fun for kids.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool for kids of all ages. Lots of parking available too. The newly refurbished changing rooms look great, and there are plenty of lockers available (don't forget to get a token from reception). The reception staff were very helpful, and even let us try a swim vest on one of the kids before we bought it to make sure it fitted right. In the pool there are three slides, the large blue one for bigger kids and adults, a snake slide for kids up to age 8, and a very small elephant slide for toddlers. Wave machine comes on every 30 mins or so, and is lots of fun! Especially like that the depth of the pool is graduated all the way to the shallow end. We also had lunch in the cafe and paid £1.50 per child for the pirate ship soft play area. All round good value for a few hours out!

Positive experience: This is a good leisure centre especially for the kids but seems a little short staffed for the size of it. The changing rooms need more regular attention and the outside looks exactly like it did 20 years ago. Time for make over? Also not a lot of sign posting to the car park and where to go once you park up. You have to sort of walk under the building and up some steps where loads of kids gather around you. That could be quite daunting for some. There's no lift there so my disabled mother in law had to walk back and get in the the car to be driven right the way around the front. Again not enough sign posting about that either. In contrast the reception staff were really lovely and helpful and the cost for both the swimming and hire of the basket hall were very reasonable.

Positive experience: Can only comment on the swimming pool and reception as that is all that we used (on this visit). Receptionist was very helpful and informative as the lockers in the changing area only accept the old style pound coins. Toilets were very clean. Changing rooms were big enough for myself, my husband and our small child to fit as it was Saturday morning and busy, the family sized change area was in constant use. The pool was quite busy but we still managed to get to an area for swim practice and our little one built up his confidence in the water and did go down the slides in the child's area on his own and went down the larger slide with his father. I was surprised to see people carrying phones in the pool area as most local pools that I have been to say that phones cannot be taken into the pool area.

Fantastic experience: Best child friendly swimming pool in the Area. Changing facilities are massivly improved. Wave pool every 30mins, kids slides and shallow end is great for young children. Reasonable priced Admission fees, Reasonable priced cafe. It's my goto for our Young children as it's really good value for money and the extra 20 minutes in the car is well worth it.

Fantastic experience: Kids loved it. It's got a wave machine that goes off every 30 mins. A small snake slide for 4's and unders and a big snakes slide for big kids and adults. Bit rough round the edges at the moment while it's going through its refurbishment but don't let that put you off.

Fantastic experience: We visited on Sunday and although it was super busy and the que was right into the car park, the lady with the short hair and glasses handled it so well we where all given numbers and invited into the cafe and to use the soft play while we waited. The newly refurbished changing rooms are lovely and so warm! You just need to remember 20p for hairdryer as we weren’t told on the till. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Negative experience: Absolutely filthy. How it is allowed to stay open in that state is just a joke. The changing rooms are vile, it's obvious the staff are incapable of using a mop. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Positive experience: The kids love it here, and it's great value. When we visited it was extremely busy though so when the waves came you found yourself knocking into strangers. Could also do with a lick of paint! Otherwise fab.
