Positive experience: Great for swimming, well maintained facility and generally clean and tidy with friendly staff. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I personally preferred the online booking for lane swimming as it felt more organised and you knew if it was likely to be busy or not, but this was recently abolished.

Positive experience: Visited the 3g football pitch. Lovely pitch, but nowhere to stand for spectators. Pitch fence surrounded by mud. Need to install paths along length of the pitches. Everyone left covered in mud. Highly recommended wellies.

Fantastic experience: Clean pool and changing rooms. Single sex with shower cubicles so you can have a proper shower after swimming. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Take a padlock for the ladies, I think the men's lockers use £1 coins.

Positive experience: Astro pitch used for children football game. Not the best venue for supporters because where situated on a hill & muddy. No solid path to stand.

Positive experience: Pretty standard leisure centre. I know it's part of freedom leisure so a pass here works in the majority of leisure centres in the swansea area. I use it for the gym only and it doesn't have tons of equipment but enough for s decent workout and it's not been too busy yet.

Positive experience: Fun for the kids

Positive experience: Love the swimming pool, not too busy so when lane swimming you can often have a lane to yourself. I was disappointed at how small the gym is, especially as the time I booked a solo gym session coincided with a gym circuit class so I ended up tucked in the corner with limited equipment available. I feel like they should just close the gym to solo sessions when these classes are running. The treadmill touch screen was also not working properly.

Positive experience: whilst the facility and staff are great they let children run around the gym using some of the potentially dangerous equipment with no super vision, the children would laugh at other paying members trying to work out, very off putting especially to those with self esteem issues.

Fantastic experience: I went to the Gym here whilst I was staying down in Dunvant on Holiday. I booked the session online the night before (£6.75 for a walk on session) and the staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. The Gym is well kitted out and there is a lot of space which is really nice. There are dedicated areas, from Cardio to Free Weights/Resistance, and there is a separate room upstairs (over 16s only) with extra equipment. It was also really clean, and it is air conditioned so it was a good temperature for working out. I would highly recommend this.

Fantastic experience: Had a great pool party. Always have a great time. 2nd year in a row otis lost a balloon... this time on the way to the car. Spotted it in penyrheol fields @ 4.15 after the staff had finished and we swung back around and asked if they would let us in to get it. Cameron and the front staff were great AGAIN. Opened it up in the pouring rain for us to run over the fields to get a number 7 balloon. Of all the things he remembered this was a highlight. Thanks all xx

Fantastic experience: I swim regularly at this pool. It is always clean. The staff are lovely, especially Susan, Nadine and Fion, they are smashing girls. They are all very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The changing rooms and reception have been updated, and the facilities are excellent. It can get busy sometimes, as do all pools, but that is a small price to pay for such a lovely pleasant venue. Nothing to complain about here.

Negative experience: If I could give this place a 0 star review I would staff are really rude place needs updated looks like a 1990 leisure centre pool full of dirt needs cleaned and also lots of crime around the leisure centre !!!

Positive experience: My 1st booked appointment at the pool was cancelled with no explanation. It was nice to get in the pool when i finally did though and the staff were fab. I also love the new style changing rooms. The only issue is you can not book online you have to ring them to book all swimming sessions which i think is stupid.

Fantastic experience: I come here a few times a week to use their Gym. The staff are always happy and willing to help. The App booking facility is handy to book in advance. The Covid measures put in place by the management and more importantly maintained by the staff, ensure that it is a safe environment to exercise in. The Technogym App allows me to see how I'm improving to get rid of the excess fat during lockdown. My Instructor can also see how I'm doing. I can't recommend this place too much. Thank you all!

Negative experience: This leisure centre mishandled a serious incident. I was treated by somebody who was providing a service like I was beneath them. I was talked down to and I was berated, it was so bad that I was even traumatised by the ordeal. When I reported it to the management they did not give a proper reprimand for it and they even turned a blind eye to it. This leisure centre does not brief the people who are providing a service on their premises of the conduct that is expected and they also do dot protect customers when misconduct occurs. Misconduct is putting it mildly, I would even call what happened abuse, the management responding as carelessly as they did is outrageous.

Positive experience: Really good 3G pitch but no hard area for us to watch, luckily it wasn't too muddy for us today! Leisure centre looks a little run down and not a bin in sight, probably the reason why there was so much rubbish around the outside of the enclosed pitch.

Positive experience: I only use the pool so it only applies to that facility, pool is 25m long and 10m wide, it is a flat deck design with a 10ft deep end. Built in the late 70's; this pool is busy by Swansea standards. In the 1970/80's it was Swansea City Council policy that every comprehensive school had its own pool, the then County Council [West Glamorgan] supplied the facilities and the City Council paid for its staffing. Penyrheol being part of the defunct Lliw Valley Council was only added to Swansea's portfolio in the early 1990's. This pool and changing areas are always kept clean and staff are friendly and knowledgeable the pool temperature is always cool enough to swim hard. Check when its open though as it's used by schools and clubs as well as the public
