The beauty of the club is that it has everything a women needs for health & beauty, including; gym, toning tables, infra-red sauna, pool & spa, sunbeds, beauty salon, afro caribbean hair stylists and european hair stylists.
As a women only gym, all ladies of all different shapes and sizes feel comfortable and at ease here, not having to ‘work out’ in front of men. We cater for all ethnic groups and have facilities in place for disabled people.
“Way back in 2005, I joined The Body Factory as a member. I very quickly become attached. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I looked forward to my daily fix of exercise.
Later in 2009, I was asked to join the TBF team as a part-time receptionist. As the months passed, my hours increased, and six months later, the owners were introducing me as their General Manager, and that is where my story truly begins.
Since joining the TBF team, I have qualified in a higher level of customer services. Not only did I grow a passion for exercise, I developed a great interest in nutrition and have achieved a diploma in weight management. Now my aim is to educate my TBF members with the knowledge I have gained and help them achieve their goals mentally and physically.”

Fantastic experience: I have just joined this all ladies gym and I love it. Its small but has everything I need to get a work out in. The staff are very helpful and do their best to make you feel welcome. The Sauna is definitely a super plus for me too however often there are young girls on their phones which makes me feel uneasy because of privacy factors (possible pictures). They also often go in with their trainers on and in gym wear while I sit bear foot in my swimming costume. Swimming is restricted to 30mins so it feels like I'm constantly clock watching and slightly under pressure to make sure I'm in and out on time. This is a feeling I try to get away from when at the gym, as I also go to de-stress. The next swimmer is often standing there waiting for you to finish in the last 5-10mins which feels awkward at times while they keep glancing at the clock. Despite the negatives I still really enjoy this gym and am happy to take the rough with the smooth. If tweaked these small issues could easily be resolved. There's a kind of warm family feel which I enjoy and am hopeful that my time here will only get better.

Regarding the swimming pool, yes we do have a 30 minute booking system, however you are welcome to stay longer if the pool is not booked after your session. This does include weekends to. We are always trying to improve the booking system as without it the pool gets overcrowded. Feedback is always welcome and we have a comments box in the changing room. Positive experience: Lovely staff, always friendly and helpful. However, the gym definitely needs new machines and a spruce up all round, please. It’s pretty dull and worn out, some machines have been out of use since I rejoined a month ago. It’ll make wanting to get to the gym for a workout much nicer.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming for nearly a year and have absolutely loved it! I am greeted by friendly staff every single day who are always ready to answer any questions or help. I've been able to achieve my fitness goals with the variety of equipment and flexible hours of operation.

Hi Ana Sorry you feel disappointed. If you need to know how to use the machines come to reception and one of our team will go in with you. We are aware that one of the machines is out of order. All the others are working fine. Regarding to-the sauna you will see we have an infra red sauna and they are not designed to get as hot as a regular sauna, but the health benefits are much better.

Negative experience: On the evening of February 21st, myself and three friends arrived at the gym with the intention of signing up for memberships. We had inquiries about the swimming pool, but unfortunately, our experience was soured by an older white receptionist lady who was extremely rude from the moment we walked in. Despite speaking to her in a respectful manner, she responded with hostility and attitude, prompting us to leave without completing our memberships. Her unnecessary behaviour and personal animosity towards us, evident in her dirty looks as we exited, left us feeling unwelcome and unwilling to support a company that treats new clients in such a manner. We came at around 6:30pm

Positive experience: An honest review. I'm grateful we have a females only gym local. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. I like this gym because I can workout in peace and not have to look over my shoulder sort of thing.. However a few improvements would be great and boost the level of this gym. Majority of the machines are fairly old and rusty. An upgrade to the machines and bringing in some newer machines would be great. I personally would be happy to pay a bit extra to be able to access modern and the latest machines. I go gym mainly to use the machines. A total overhaul to the gym would make me sign up to a long term contract and bring in all my friends. Just some food for thought. An updated, clean and aesthetic gym makes the workout even better. I hope I can come back here soon and update my review.

Negative experience: Just so you know you can’t cancel your membership until the end of your contract even if you’ve been diagnosed with scoliosis and can’t use the gym! They will threaten you with legal action over any little thing. They sent threatening emails and aren’t kind. Lesley in particular. The gym isn’t worth the £30! Lastly, your contract doesn’t actually end after 12 month you have to pay for an additional month(cancellation fee). If you want a gym that care more about money then you definitely give this gym a shout! I recommend Girls Allowed Gym and there’s other great gyms in Romford. Ilford Pure Gym also has a women’s section!
Hi Daisy Im sorry you have miss understood your conract. Your contract is rolling and It clearly states that you need to give the club one months notice to cancel. Something you failed to do, until I sent you a copy of the contract you rquested, I have re called old emails and can see that we agreed to cancel your membership on reciept of medical evidence. As I never recieved any medical letters from you I was unaware you still wanted to cancel. I can't find any communication form you since October. I took recent emails from you at face value and read them possitively. I was unaware they were not what you was acutally meaning. I am sure that had we communicated better we could have come to a better understanding. However form your last email I can see that is not going to be the case. Positive experience: It’s a decent little place for women only. Pool is small but does the job, sauna can get a bit crowded and can get a bit loud which is annoying when you want to relax in quiet!! Showers could be better but they do the job… not a luxury experience but if you want a place that women’s only and get a small work out done then it’s good. I haven’t used the actual machines / gym equipment or the sun beds. But they do have a beauty salon although I’m not sure how often it’s available, and sun beds and toning tables for people unable to use the gym equipment.
Positive experience: Small gym community. Lovely and welcoming staff. Has all the equipment you need for a gym and there's a good sauna, swimming pool (not too big), jacuzzi and toning room (never used). The cleaner is always there doing her job well. The only thing is that it is in a little need for a renovation- the changing room.

Negative experience: Cute little gym and lovely staff.. Perfect for me and my workout but had to stop going as Parking is issue and opening times.. Met one of the owner gym and I can say I don’t think she’s a lovely woman.. She was rude and I’m pretty sure I saw her scratch someone car which shocked me.. this is my experience and if I could I will still Be going if they were open longer in the weekends.. Yes the owners are a couple ..

Fantastic experience: This is a gem of a place and I feel so blessed to take the time out to swim and use the sauna. It’s beautifully run and always clean and comfortable. Easy to use booking system, and lovely ladies to meet. I thoroughly appreciate this gym!

Positive experience: Good facilities for Muslim women, however swimming pool is dirty, also they need to extend hours, opening hours are 9-9pm, it gets over crowded in the evenings. People go because they don’t have any other choice, there’s a short supply of women only gyms. They don’t do student discount, quite expensive. I’m not complaining, happy that you are providing female only facilities, I’m just leaving an honest review, I have many friends that still attend. The gym is overcrowded in the evening, I’m sure a lot of people would attend before work if you opened at 6am. The swimming pool, tiles on the side are yellow, from dirt - that’s why I stopped going. Cheapest is £40 per month without signing up for 12 months, that’s a lot for students where mixed larger gyms do it for £24.99.
Hi Toslima sorry to hear you are not too happy with the club. When was the last time you came to the club? I can’t see that you have checked in since October last year. As we have a booking system for the pool and sauna it is not possible to be over crowded. Also the gym has been extended, we have another gym room, The pool is kept at clean and constantly monitored. The problem with the tiles has been rectified. Like wise with all our other facilities. We are looking to extend our opening hours and go back to opening earlier and closing later, but at present there is not a demand for longer hours. Hopefully this will change in the summer months. As regards with membership prices, we have many membership packages and will always try to find the cheapest suitable membership for each clients needs. Hopefully we can do that for you. KR Tbf
Fantastic experience: I love this place. It has everything a women could ever want. It is a tranquil place. Has a welcome area lounge where you can have tea/coffee. Has free WiFi. Has a beautiful pool with jacuzzi. Cherry on top it Has a sauna. The gym has all the basic equipments. And also they have a toning and stretching equipments which is very rare in other gym. Yhis gym is like my second home. As the receptionist are very welcoming and friendly. So as a women's only gym it is the best feature that it doesn't have all the hassle and bastle. It is quite private and women rulling gym.❤️
Negative experience: Getting tired of this. Went and it’s closed. No information on it being closed anywhere until you get there in the middle of the snow & freezing weather. Already has such short opening times compared to other gyms when it’s aloot more expensive with less equipment and now it also closes randomly without any explanation. Waste of time and money. Really don’t recommend!
Good Morning Yazmin Sorry you came to the club last night when it was closed. I have managed TBF for 15 years and last night was the second time I had to make the decision to close early. This was due to staff sickness and bad weather conditions. I notified clients who had bookings and put a note on the door in between the shutters. Your comment about equipment, membership prices and opening times we can discuss at the club if you prefer. At present we have 8 treadmills, 5 cross trainers 3 steppers 4 Rowers, 9 assorted bikes 3 smiths machine, 8 resistance machines We also had 2 new stair masters installed last week. The gym has been extended and we have a new free weights area with brand new equipment. With added benches, bars, medicine balls, kettle bells, dumb bells etc. we also have the toning tables, swimming pool and sauna. Plus Sunbeds. If there is equipment you would like to see at the club let us know and we can look into it. At Tbf we aim to make memberships affordable for our clients needs, so we have many memberships types, tailored to suit members needs. Opening times are something we would like to change again but unfortunately clients were not staying later or wanting to come earlier, therefor I have kept to the presents times. Negative experience: Not a place that is worthy of more than £10 a month, but packages that low aren't offered, for the size of the place and amount of equipment you would expect a price point like that though, rubbish

Happy New Year Krupa We do different price packages at the club and £40 isn’t the cheapest. We are a woman’s only gym that offer different facilities and different memberships packages. We have a Gym, which is being extended as we speak to make a new free weights area Toning Tables, Swimming Pool, Infra Red Sauna and Sunbeds. Negative experience: Poor management team who are not able to co operate with someone who has poor arthritis. The owners are never on sight so we can’t expect an answer from them and some women who claims to be the manager but doesn’t sound like one because she can’t solve a minor issue. I thought managers had the authority to deal with issues taking place with the gym?
Negative experience: Poor management, only some staff are friendly management a bit stuck up, the best part of this gym is the beauty salon side, the beautician is absolutely fantastic always happy with the service would give 5 stars for this service
Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend going to this gym at all. Its not very clean , the floor is always dirty. Pools gotta be the worst part of the gym as the water is not clean and i don't think they change it. Paid £40 for a months membership and regretted it during the first week as the machines aren't very new either and they only have three shower where the curtains are very dull looking and locker room is very small and also always wet! Sauna room is hardly ever hot and pool has way too much chlorine which ends up giving a person the worst headache and hardly have any equipment by the pool.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to get in shape or stay in shape and are shy, or can't go to regular gyms for any other reason, this is absolutely the place to be. The gym has just about enough equipment to help you reach your goals, the staff is lovely, the facilities are clean and easy to use, and there's a lovely community of ladies that keeps you motivated and help you out if you need it. I was never a fan of gyms, but this gym is simply everything i was looking for.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff members, and it literally is no men allowed past reception. They recently redecorated the place looks great. All the exquipment is always clean, and the gym is bigger than you would think. At the reception you can buy healthy snacks for after work outs, you can get water bottles also. Gym includes a room full of toning tables, sun Beds, sauna room, swimming pool, gym, weights room and a changing room with 3 showers (2 single and one bigger). Overall a very enjoyable place to be in, everyone is very positive. I've seen a few spinning classes and I can confirm that they look really fun.
