Anytime Fitness Locks Heath

Negative experience: This gym used to be amazing.. however, with a recent change in staff, there’s a gentleman who works as staff who comes across very aggressive and hostile (clearly due to the steroid usage). I’ve lost a lot of confidence in myself since he’s around more and I don’t feel comfortable working out with the way he treats his gym members.The gym is meant to promote mental health and this has done the complete opposite for me over the last few months. For example he walks around critiquing members form without being asked even though it was fine in the first place. He also walks around telling people to tidy and put weights away while literally being in the middle of using them.

Fantastic experience: This gym has such a strong sense of community and love to be able to train early morning or late evening as it’s open 24hrs. The staff are also fab, really approachable and helpful

Negative experience: Once I decided to give 1 months notice to cancel my membership I was bombarded with annoying spam texts from AF . I decided to quit my membership as The Gym is opening up soon near me with more equipment and nearly half the price .However after I gave AF 1 months notice they immediately deactivated my fob even though by email they said I could train until 30 June . When I questioned it they said it was their system & it doesn't allow you to cancel your DD without automatically disabling my fob .Poor service wouldn't recommend & twice the cost for less kit

Positive experience: Really nice and well distributed gym, with plenty of equipment and friendly staff. Free 4 hours parking. I was disappointed that in the shower room the only single hook to hang all your clothes and the bath towel was broken, so it was a bit challenging with nowhere to hang my stuff.

Negative experience: The staff are actually very helpful, despite ownerships best efforts to make life hard for everyone else. The gym itself isn't a bad gym with enough equipment for what you need. The issue lies with the takeover in ownership and the communications from the owners. Due to covid, I have been unable to go to the gym (near to where I work) so I asked for leniency on this and a 'partial refund'. I couldnt freeze my membership as I had paid in full for the year. I had a really disappointing outcome on this and would not recommend anyone get tied into a contract when there are much better gyms around the area which are 1. cheaper, and 2. dont tie you into contract. I would avoid this gym.

Positive experience: Fantastic atmosphere and staff are top-notch. The machines are good quality and facilities are decent too. There are a couple of improvements 'Anytime Fitness' as a company/franchise could make: 1) Scrap the 12 month contract; a lot of gyms have already scrapped it because it puts people off signing up. 2) Price is not that competitive, costing around £35 per month. Out of the two above, I would prefer the first option to be implemented if I could only choose one.

Fantastic experience: What a gym! Always welcoming, with a family friendly focus, my husband and I have been members since it was first built in 2016. We have become good friends with Joni and Charlie who always act with professionalism but are so welcoming and friendly whenever you step foot in the gym. The gym is covid compliant and is always well maintained and clean. Nothing is ever too much bother for the team and the door is always open to have a natter which makes for a lovely social experience before and after a workout. Would highly recommend if you want a gym where you are treated more than just a number!

Fantastic experience: One of the friendliest gyms I have been to. Always clean, the staff are always friendly and happy to see you, they’re easy to approach and very caring about their members. The gym equipment is always clean and in tip top condition. The layout is spacious and has all the equipment necessary. There’s something for everyone. Whether you’re into weight lifting, yoga, or cardio. This gym is also 24 hours which is a bonus if you’re a busy person. I would recommend this gym strongly.

Negative experience: Do not touch this gym with a barge pole if you think you may ever want to cancel your membership. They repeatedly give different dates that you can cancel then move the date as it approaches. Awful customer service.

Gym always very clean and tidy and good equipment. If you are looking for a welcoming gym give it a go, plenty of classes if you want to join in

Fantastic experience: Great gym with friendly staff. The gym equipment is well maintained and in my 2 years as a member I've never struggled to get on the equipment, even during busy times. The classes are excellent and run by experienced trainers. It's easy to book a space using their app - which also comes with free workouts to follow. The gym is always spotless and the staff are always happy to help

Fantastic experience: i am an absolute fan of anytime fitness locks heath. they are a really friendly team. i have a personal trainer who is also fabulous. would highly recommend this gym. a home from home. i love the fact that i can use my fob anywhere!, i have used it Australia, and other parts of the UK.

Fantastic experience: Well equipped. Helpful staff. Good classes when you want them. Reasonably priced. Access to other centres in the country is really useful.

Negative experience: First floor no lift for pipoles on whyle chare.or disable pipoles

Negative experience: Well not the best gym around especially if you are a little over weight, as some of the staff fat shame people. It's a shame as everyone attends the gym for the same reason, will NOT be returning

Fantastic experience: This was a really nice center with great staff. It was clean, well equiped and lots of room for your workout. The staff helps you with questions of all sorts, are always up helping with your workout and are all easy going. June is a big asset to the gym with her positive attitude, helpfullness and easy banter. The staff all made the vibe at the center very friendly, and if I lived closer I would definitly join. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: This gym is absolutely amazing. Everyone here is so friendly and so helpful. They have such a great team, each member of staff are absolutely fantastic, helpful and insightful. Before every session I always get greeted by all members of staff, either at the door or around the gym. They never fail to ask about how I’m doing or if I need advice. sometimes I’ll have a nice chat with the staff about what I could do to help reach my goal and also different thing I can try. I PT with Luke Wilson who is brilliant, he’s helped me gain confidence in myself and learn to push myself more inside and outside of the gym.

Fantastic experience: Not been a member long but there’s a lovely atmosphere there. I usually feel quite intimidated at gyms but that’s not that case there at all! The team are all very friendly and approachable, the manager especially! Also, really like the concept of free fruit and sugar free snacks! Not something iv ever been given at a gym before, great idea! Great gym, great staff, would recommend to anyone!

Negative experience: All this place now seems to care about is money and appearing to look good on social media and does not give a care about its current members. I would would give this site Zero stars if i could, A manager who has no idea what he is doing or what due process is However is very good at being on Facebook every five minutes and taking holidays (basically anything to avoid emails), Lots of past complaints have been deleted from their system including past agreements with past competent managers. Threats of legal action if i do not pay followed by continual harassment from their heavy's (CSS Collect) Do yourselves a favor and if you have to use this gym join another anytime fitness and use this clubs facility's as they certainly do not deserve your money. ****AVOID AT ALL COSTS****

Negative experience: A real shame to hear of one of the PTs being sacked for what can only be described as hearsay and without any warning. I am not in the personal training industry but I am disgusted by how this gym has conducted itself as a business, and an employer. My previous glowing review of how friendly and helpful the staff are brings my character into question as it appears I have been naive and it is sadly evident that there is a very poisonous atmosphere under the surface of what this anytime fitness gym. Due to the position I hold within my local community it would wrong if I did not amend my review and look forward to seeing the attitude of this establishment changing to reflect what it should represent.

Fantastic experience: Splendid gym for several reasons. Mainly being excellent equipment, reachability anytime as the name suggests, too good & knowledgeable PT/Staff, You will always get enough equipment even during busy period, excellent daily classes offered included in membership. Worth paying a visit for a trial class at least. I am sure you will not regret being a member for any of fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: Amazing 24 hour gym which is open 24 hours - love it! They have a safe security system, top equipment (my fav is the escalator-style stepping machine) - a bargain for what you get as a member...very spacious setting, friendly supportive staff, and really pretty private shower rooms! On top of that, I can use any Anytime Fitness in the world as they're an international chain! :) Here's to a fit and healthy 2017!

Fantastic experience: A good range of equipment and classes, good staff and a convenient location. All of the staff have been friendly and helpful. 3 hours free parking is very handy, as are the nearby shops.

Fantastic experience: Wanted to start getting fit in a gym that was close to where I live and open the hours around my job and free time... this caiters to all my needs, the equipment is brilliant and state of the art and there's plenty of variety... the staff are wonderful and always there to help especially if you need and extra push... if you need a gym to start the new year would highly recommend this gym anytime !!
