Hornsey Vale Community Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Great community centre very friendly and very good staff and they do brilliantlunches at good prices
Fantastic experience: Lots of activities for all ages and they seem to be involved in all the festivities that each season brings. From dance classes to soup mornings on a monday and everything in between. An integral part of the community, creating links between the local people and local establisments.
Fantastic experience: Came here for a toddlers birthday party and the venue was perfect for the occasion. There was plenty of space for the children (there were at least 13) to play and have fun without having to worry about them wandering off or getting themselves in awkward situations
Positive experience: Went a few weekends ago for a crafts fair. Expected that there would be a poster outside but no. Quite a good fair though not particularly big.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the Green Christmas Fair, so many fabulous things to buy!
Fantastic experience: It's a lovely place to come and do yoga with Beth (yoga teacher) on a Wednesday night.
Fantastic experience: Friendly
Negative experience: Canceled on me on a day someone else had an event booked after me
Fantastic experience: What can I say, this place is full of information with endless activities. I was amazed at how much is done here even though it looks very small from the outside. I travelled an hour to use the Cranial Therapy and the lady is amazing. I urge any locals who don't avail of the services here to do so as you're blessed to have it at your doorstep, no word of a lie. Lovely, clean place and my 3 visits were wonderful. Looking forward to the new year (please God)!
Fantastic experience: Weekly breath easy class in the gymnasium at Hornsey Vale community centre. Spacious, well ventilated, quiet. Perfect venue.

Fantastic experience: Great place with lots of activities for adults and children.
Many thanks for your review Ali, it means a lot to us.
Fantastic experience: Visited for the first time to shop at the Green Christmas Fair. Made some top purchases and imbibed mulled wine and delicious mince pies.
Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic local community centre with a friendly team and a range of activities for all ages. The hall and gym (complete with old school wooden climbing bars) work for all kinds of things - I’ve been there variously for kids birthday parties, fairs, Pilates, Zumba and even panto. The hire rates seem reasonable and the kitchen well equipped.
Thank you for your positive review Tamzin, our volunteer team really appreciate it.
Fantastic experience: Never been but I am sure it's lovely.
Fantastic experience: Lovely little spot - even to just chill in the courtyard by the art mural and planters
Fantastic experience: Many activities.
Fantastic experience: Lovely little community centre where so much goes on!
Positive experience: Usual local community centre. Hosts lots of different activities and classes for children all ages. Had a few problems getting in for classes when reception is shut but that's all
Fantastic experience: I was posting leaflets for the Pilates place in crouch end on the hill opposite marks and Spencer's Inge asked me to post near that area
Fantastic experience: A wonderful busy little Community Centre
Positive experience: Good size rooms to hire
Fantastic experience: The lady Tanya who runs it is outstanding
Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my time there
Positive experience: It's a really nice place with some great activities
Positive experience: Ci sono stata una sola volta e grande ed accogliente
Fantastic experience: This is a very historic yet humble place, reflecting the origins of the area, it's geography (a valley between the nearby hills), how it adapts to community needs and withstands tides of times and changes of ideology. It is a polling station, an adults services, kids taekwondo, and an auxiliary to a nearby Weston Park Primary, and a birthday and a wedding venue. It had been a family-friendly public restroom for users of Stationers Park (always clean, stocked and tidy) (though occasionally the doors are locked), source of fruit-veg deliveries from nearby farms to urban dwellers, and a habitat of gnomes. The only thing it does not do is clean the dog poo from the streets and host a dog toilet.
Fantastic experience: Great community asset
Positive experience: Every thing going on...
Positive experience: Loads of different activities
Fantastic experience: Wonderful local venue and community resource. Accessible classes in a wide variety of subjects.
Positive experience: Indoor basketball facilities were good and changing rooms clean and tidy. Floor is a bit slippery so be careful as you run around.
Positive experience: Not for profit centre. They have gatherings for Transition Crouch End including the annual Alternative Clothes Show. They have a lunch club for seniors playgroup for little people and a varied program of community activities. Crop Drop organic bag scheme were and may still be sorting vegatables there. Alternatibe health clinics. Wr neef more places like this. Sometimes the web page has not been updated so check by phone before turning up.
Positive experience: Nice building
Positive experience: Real community spirit
Fantastic experience: nice place
Negative experience: Your website does not give any information at all about what events take place at the Centre? How are we supposed to use the Centre if we do not know what events/activities are available and when?? Please update it giving a programme guide as to what is available at Hornsey Vale Community Centre, when and what the charges are.
Fantastic experience: Good space for basketball
