Positive experience: The facilities are good and well equipped but there always seems to be issues with plumbing in the men's changing room. One time this year the only toilet cubicle in the men's was out of order for nearly a month. It really should be a higher priority to provide a working toilet. The men's changing room almost always stinks of sewage.
Fantastic experience: I have an all Pure Gym access but this branch has been the best of the best in terms of space, cleanliness and machine variety. (I’ve visited London Hayes, London Feltham and Luton and the one in Sittingbourne, Kent) My only drawback is that it doesn’t have a Lat divergent pulldown machine but it’s not the end of the world! There’s free 3 hours parking on site and literally a 3 minute walk from Chippenham Station I’ve travelled using both routes and both are easy and handy for me.

Fantastic experience: The Gym does what it says on the tin. It is an affordable way to get fit; you have all the equipment needed in a clean, well-lit, ventilated environment. You don't need the latest equipment to play YouTube videos, Instagram, and TikTok videos, it's all about the Gym and achieving your goals with an affordable, well-tiered membership program. This is especially true in these difficult Financial Times. KUDOS, and please, keep doing what you are doing, PureGym, I LOVE it. :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of PureGym in Chippenham since it opened and honestly wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. The gym is well-equipped and welcoming, with the app making it easy to see busy times and to book classes. The class schedule changes every few months which keeps options fresh and interesting. I really enjoy group exercise and value the PT-led classes which are always motivating, fun, and just the right amount of challenge.
Fantastic experience: Lydia’s pump class is a great addition to the timetable. She works us hard, targets easily forgotten muscle groups but makes it fun & engaging. Every week is a new challenge
Fantastic experience: Love the classes at PG Chippenham. Thanks Lydia. Unfortunately I find the pump class on Wednesday( I’ve not been for a while) tedious as the sections are to repetitive and the music…….. is awful. Sorry as I absolutely love the classes ordinarily and the staff are the absolute best there is.

Fantastic experience: Had no issues with this place, as someone who hasn't been to a gym in years, it was great. Once you sign up you can access videos on how to enter and how to use the machines which was great. Whilst I was there, it was clean, the machines that I used (cardio) were easy to use and the quote on the wall "everybody welcome" was true, I didn't feel out of place and there is something for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Good gym for a good price. It's not pretentious, it's never too busy to not get onto the equipment you want. Worst thing is when a class suddenly starts and the music is so loud, you're unable to hear the music in your headphones. I try and avoid being there when classes are due to start.

Negative experience: Only gym I know in the south west with no cleaning facilities to wipe down equipment. Always sweat patches on the benches which is disgusting. If they had cleaning facilities for members, I would rate it 4 stars however as there isn't I will rate it 1 star. Please add a cleaning area or something!!

PureGym prides itself on being able to offer state of the art fitness facilities to our members in a safe and welcoming environment. We developed industry-leading cleaning and hygiene protocols to help keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, with the reduced risk and in line with the Government’s ending of legal restrictions, we have decided to remove self-cleaning stations in our gyms, which will also support our sustainability objectives by reducing our paper towel waste. We’re proud to say that many of the protocols implemented during lockdown, such as frequent and regular cleaning, and improvements to our air ventilation systems, will continue to be a core part of our TrainSafe Commitment. Positive experience: Good gym - shame some users don't look after it and the changing and toilet facilities are a bit of a mess sometimes (particularly Sundays), but all in all good value for your money.

Positive experience: Good - Well equipped, clean, close to home, reasonably priced, any broken kit is quickly fixed. Bad - too busy at peak times, the door access often fails to let me in/out, staff are rarely to be seen, some oafs/gym bunnies selfishly hog machines. But most members are helpful, funny and willing to swap machines with you to vary sets. And then there's the odd pure gold person who had my back when I was having to adapt my use of kit after knee surgery. Told me he was proud of my determination, reminded me all abilities should be welcome and good manners cost nothing. Wish there were more that :-)

Positive experience: Great experience at this gym, staff are helpful and showers are good, male sinks smell a bit already. Turns out heading out to move the car cost me one of my 4 entries month slots which wasn't ideal when I nipped out for 5 minutes.

Positive experience: Great gym - I go to Pure-Gym every other day. Fantastic gym with loads of equipment and friendly setup. Only issue is the sitting on equipment for ages looking at phones, taking selfies, and doing Facebook updates

Negative experience: Always busy, new equipment yes, but some of them already wobbly(bikes upstairs). And one of the gym users- Papi parking his Audi car for disabled people parking, and he’s not disabled, no Pure Gym reaction.

Positive experience: Decent (ish) gym- not enough leg machines though. Oh, & if I see another young woman completing a “selfie” then bringing a camera tripod (I’m not kidding!) to this gym there just might be a death in Chippenham!!!

Positive experience: Firstly, I suppose you get what you pay for in terms of overall quality. However, Chippenham does not live up to the standards set by other PureGyms in the area. The kit is poorly put together (Suspect this is more a manufacturing issue) but disappointing none the less. Kit has been bolted down on an angle and not straight, if you're going to fix it down, take the time to get it right. The biggest issue to date is the overall cleanliness of the gym. I train early (5am starts) and the men's changing rooms are DISGUSTING....Things that were there the previous day, are often there the next. Stuff all over the floors, rubbish, tissue, wrappers, dirt and general grime. The gym opened 3 months ago and to this day, I've never seen a cleaner (not saying there isn't one, just no visible sign they've been). I'll go back to my initial point, the price is what makes this gym viable, without it, there are much better offerings in the area. I feel 3 stars is a fair reflection of what it is. Basic, ticks the right boxes but definite room for improvement.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken/faulty. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, or cleanliness, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. In the meantime, I really do hope this does not put you off from attending the gym. Negative experience: There is no Wifi for members which is disappointing and also is there really a need for members announcement every 5 minutes. I do not need to be reminded every 5 minutes where the first aid kit is and that this is a non judgemental gym.

Positive experience: Very overcrowded at peak hours and by the amount of people you see in there you would think they would afford to have WiFi but they don't, i don't mind using my internet but EE is rubbish and don't have good reception in there

To connect to the Wi-Fi, select the PureGym Wi-Fi and you will be redirected to a log in page whereby you will just need to enter your email address and PureGym PIN! Fantastic experience: Great gym, good equipment, never had an issue with equipment availability either. It's clean and there's a good variety of classes and areas to workout. Suggestions: Put a small bin by the ladies showers to encourage people removing the hair they leave in the drain. Also, please fix the squeaky toilet door.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with plenty of equipment. I noticed one of the reviews said there are no spin bikes. There are in fact four and have been since opening. Two on the lower level and two on the top. I go either first thing in the morning or around 9pm and it tends to be quieter then.

Positive experience: Used for 1st time today noticed some equipment has still is not useable yet. Class area looks spacious haven't seen any spin bikes yet hopefully there awaiting delivery. Only noticed 1 toilet in mens so hopefully there is toilets in adjacent stores Incase a que develops

Fantastic experience: Just drove past the gym as it's under construction and the amount of handsome young men working there is incredible. Especially the head honcho an absolute trophy of a man, not so sure about the scrawny looking grey haired labourer though, but nevertheless they are a credit to whomever employes them. Which I'm sure is another strapping man with a very masculine and distinct aftershave. Carry on boys!
Negative experience: Absolutly not ready to open yet!! Just an empty shell as of 15 May 22. Its probably looking at being ready at the end of August into September by my reconing
