Negative experience: This is a review specially for the spa. Staff generally friendly but sauna out of order which was disappointing given its one of the main attractions. The steps to the jacuzzi had like a weird almost fungus like growth as shown in the photo which seems very unhygienic, and clearly is a result of long term neglect. Expected more from the place

Negative experience: I enrolled my six-year-old son in a course to play and develop his skills. However, he refused to join the course and was crying and scared. The coach asked me to take him and leave because it wasn't allowed for him to stay while crying, or for me to stay with him. The coach suggested I contact customer service for a refund. When I called them, they refused, saying that it wasn't a valid reason. I don't know what they expect me to do – force my son to stay in the course while he's crying and scared, or go against the coach's wishes. This treatment is unfair.

Negative experience: Really need to have a look at what your changing room lockers are actually being used for. Gym empty, football pitches indoor and outdoor empty and pool has its own lockers, yet no lockers free on first floor.You can go at 10am on a Sunday and they are all full when the centre is dead. I wonder if you know whats being stored in them ??

Positive experience: My children go for swimming lessons here. They like it and its good value.

Negative experience: Easily the worst gym I have ever been to. If i can give it 0 stars i would. Extremely dirty. Not enough supplie on free weights. Unforgivably rude staff, moving you off your spot for their own benefit, loud and unconsidered to the rest that are trying to better themselves, their rules apply only to some people that don't fit into their image for gym rat, and not to forget the STAFF that hits on you when you're minding your own business then feeling uncomfortable about it and having to adjust your time so you can avoid them because-anxiety. So much money for a membership and for what? To be looked down on, made uncomfortable, in a nasty environment with the worst kind of people running it. The only plus is the incredibly sweet seniors that exercise there being my sole motivation to keep at it. It is so unfortunate that this is the closest gym to where I live, truly a curse.

Negative experience: No very accommodating at all, will close the 1 lane open with multiple people actively lane swimming and say its for the swim all and there is less than 8 people in the swim all part, would think lane swimming would be included in the swim all key word all. Will also close the pool to the public literally kicking the public out to host 2 different swimming lessons instead of off setting the swim lessons by 30mins to allow for the pool to be available to the public.

Fantastic experience: Class gym - so much to offer - the spa is great value as well and is very relaxing. Just don’t go on match day because parking is impossible! Although you can park at Tim Hortons around the corner and it’s not a big deal.

Positive experience: Clean and tidy pool and poolside but I had to move lockers and cubicles to find ones that closed. The highlight of my visit was having a coffee in the newly opened cafe after a nice swim! Tasty food served in a timely fashion by a very pleasant member of staff. Olympia. Centre just went up a level.

Negative experience: Definitely not the best. Small pool, full of noisy kids. Gym is ok. Spa is great but expensive

Negative experience: This review is specifically in reference to the man working the front desk at 4-5pm on Wednesday 3rd January 2024. My partner went to the leisure centre wanting to swim to improve fitness for the new year. The man at the front desk was extremely rude and turned her away and wouldn’t let her in - saying the pool was for “serious swimmers only” and that she “can’t just stay in the corner and lounge around”. He also asked if “she wouldn’t prefer the sauna instead” which was not appropriate. Nothing my partner said would have indicated they were there to relax - as I have stated they were there to work out by swimming and were quite serious about this - she is also a very confident swimmer. This man made her feel horrible when she simply wanted to start the new year with some exercise and I feel certain that this individual has some misogynistic tendencies as I seriously doubt he would have made these comments to a man or denied a man access to the pool. This is simply not acceptable behaviour from a receptionist and I sincerely hope that management will have a stern word with him and perhaps give him some lessons in politeness.

Positive experience: Swimming pool is excellent. Changing rooms are very small.

Negative experience: Paid for membership through Perks was told I needed to provide proof of card, emailed it and they kept messing me around asking for more proof. After accepting my card they sent me another email days later saying they were suspending my account. WTAF? Screw you I won’t be back. CANCELLED

Negative experience: Was discriminated against from the moment we got on the pool. Someone came and asked me whether I could swim when there were lots of people flopping in my lane. Was asked to move out of the pool despite we assuring the one person who didn’t know how to swim won’t go in the deep end despite a lifeguard was there to monitor us always too. After I had a conversation with the duty manager and explained that this was the policy we decided we three would have a swim while the friend who couldn’t would abstain. When I got back someone was instructed the lifeguard present to bar me from swimming coz I didn’t know swimming. I had to demonstrate them I knew swimming before I was allowed. Left immediately after. There we no other persons of color in the pool at the time. All four of us were. The staff would benefit from some sensitivity training. Belfast is diversifying, the public places are going to see more diversity too. People administrating such places should be given cultural sensitivity training to avoid such experiences to anyone else. When we left around 13:30 it was swim for all session too. Not swim for fitness. They didn’t inform us of the timings or that we could swim from 13:00 and the person who couldn’t swim could also be present. The incident happened on 13/8/23

Positive experience: The pool is excellent here for swimming! Good temperature. But there is no fountain at the pool so if you need to drink water you have to go far for it. And the lockers use this annoying key system so you have to wear uncomfortable wristbands while swimming. The staff was nice !

Negative experience: Shocking Gym, very small. Always full of the Linfield squads that just sit about the gym and don’t use the equipment. Don’t come here if you want to have a good gym experience.

Fantastic experience: Our daily go to leisure centre. Be it badminton,swimming and gym all are there.

Positive experience: Good gym and pool but missing many simple touches that would make it better. Hand sanitizer regularly run out. More hooks needed in showers and changing. Slow to fix broken lockers. Two showers in women’s wet change that need pressed every 5 secs making it take far longer and use more water to get washed. While one of three is fine. A bit more enforcement of rules by lifeguards to make sharing the pool better for all would be appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I am a Better member & upgraded my membership in Jan 2023 to include free thermal spa access. So worth the extra £20pm and you also get 30% off any treatments booked. I went today & had a spa afternoon plus a back, neck and scalp massage by Agnieska. She is FANTASTIC. If you like a thorough deep tissue massage, Agnieska can apply amazing pressure and get right into your tight muscle areas. I really enjoy deep pressure as I'm used to deep tissue sports massages. I will be booking Agnieska on a regular basis ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: Went to the Spa experience for the first time here and as keen gym goer with allot of back and shoulders injuries I cannot recommend highly enough the deep tissue massage with Agnieska! She was amazing!

Positive experience: Spa facilities here are class. Very clean. You feel well looked after. The changing rooms however in the spa, you can’t swing a cat in which is quite a downfall. Apparently the mens are even smaller. Parking outside when busy (eg when the kid’s football is on) is absolute chaos, doing laps around the place trying to find somewhere, so accessibility isn’t fantastic. These 2 points is why the Olympia loses a star for me. HOWEVER onto the more exciting things which certainly outweighs the not-so-great. This place is super clean and very easy to see it’s looked after so well. Super child friendly. Not been to the swimming pool yet but it looks amazing. Been to a class here with Muriel for Pilates/yoga and she was amazing.

Negative experience: From start to finish this was a disaster. 1) Bought a swim for all session online (never do this) 2) When entering the leisure centre there was no direction where to go, changing rooms called a village 3) Mixed changing rooms - the doors did not lock and my buttocks had to suffice as a door stop 4) It was a Saturday morning - childrens swimming lessons were taking place, the pool depth was 0.85m ( not sure how anyone other than children can use this) I could not swim a length due to this. I left after 3 mins. 5) There are 3 male showers for 50+ changing rooms, I waited 10mins for a free shower but families seem to use them. Overall this is a ridiculous wastage of public funds

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience with asking staff for support. Duty managers Ashleigh and Keiran were amazing helping settle a 9 yr old fears. Really supportive and inclusive. Very grateful for their supportive attitude

Negative experience: Suspended my membership for not providing the eligibility docs (student ID) although the customer assistant didn't ask for the student ID when I created the membership and didn't even mention that I have to send the ID within 20 days!. I can't access the gym for 6 days now because of this suspension. Sent them the ID via email and the response was we can't reinstate your membership and you have to create a new one! Totally disappointed by the customer service!

Negative experience: I'm not sure as I was rather annoyed Nd didn't go as I'd spoken on phone n agreed to go n visit and they took my details on phone but I wasn't able to get up.. Then when I was at my bank I'd realised they'd been taking 2 or possibly 3 month payments even though I hadn't used the gym. I'd give this place a 0 if I could .. I asked gym about this and I did say about joining but they had the cheek to say I'd have to pay again even though they'd been taking payments

Fantastic experience: Went for lap swim in the mornings. Done the job. I was visiting from the States. Had no problems, was clean and safe. Just book a lane online and bring 1 pound for the locker room.

Positive experience: Spa day, really relaxing, lovely vibrant atmosphere and pleasant other customers... the step being broken at the Jacuzzi not great but hopefully dealt with by next visit. Good price, pity the view of the frosted glass, if it was opened to the mountains would be all the better, but understand privacy considerations.

Positive experience: Love the swimming pool, gym and spa, but the entrance and car park area needs attention. There is too much litter and the entrance mats are dirty.

Fantastic experience: Great pool with very modern facilities including individual shower cubicles. Gym is well equipped and good membership deal for those over 60. Staff all seem very helpful and well trained. A great asset to the area.

Positive experience: Booked the 2 hour thermal spa for 2 people recently and when we got there I noticed the steam room or ice room was out of order .I know we didn't pay a fortune but they could have at least warned us half of the spa was was not working .So literally paid 30 pounds for a jacuzzi and sauna .I spoke to a regular customer and he said the steam room has been out of order for a month so it's not like it stopped working overnight .A WORD OF WARNING TO ANYONE THINKING OF BOOKING ...MAKE SURE YOU PHONE AND ASK IF EVERYTHING IS WORKING !

Negative experience: Tried yoga here was absolutely fantastic instructor was brilliant giving variations of beginners and intermediate for each pose, very peaceful is on the top floor. Part of my all inclusive Gll better membership cant wait to avail of what else is on offer. Next stop spa experience! Having spent few hours over two days to make a booking for the spa, partly due to my phone being broke, was told to come the following day around 2.30! So the girl explained a few things again registered me on the computer in the spa department now 3pm told me then to come come back at 3.45 so sat in my car till then left my two towels, went to spa, my towel was drenched, when I went to get showered asked the girl for another one, No unfortunately we can only give one! I had two with me and left them at my car as the girl stated we provide towels flip flops, would advise to bring your own towels even better a dressing gown in the towel material be handy. Steam room was out of use, ice room is a bowl of ice only, the showers and changing room is about the size of a disabled toilet! In there you have lockers on one side seating on the other & 3 showers were you must keep hitting the button for water as it goes off about every 5-6 seconds no shampoo or conditioner in either. The decor is beautiful, spa I dont know experience yes, definitely one I'm now thankful is now behind me. Cancelling my membership was another story, told I couldn't cancel until I played the £3 no show fee for a class I did not book. Between the spa receptionist and call handler hospitality at its worst!!! I have worked in hospitality for twenty years, making life more difficult for a person does not come into it anywhere! I would suggest staff be trained in hospitality they will learn alot. It's all about making things as straightforward for the individual availing of your services I hope everyone who attends this place of business has a better experience than I did.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience with this place. I have been owed a £126 refund from the summer camps for 9 months now, and noone will respond to my phone calls, letters or emails. Avoid!

Negative experience: It really is a football stadium with a gym. It must have sounded a great idea in planning. Terrible in practice, my own experience has been poor and dangerous parking. When there is an event on at the stadium, it's impossible to use the facilities. Often the changing areas can be unsuitable for children with the language used.

Fantastic experience: Went to the Thermal Spa & had a deep tissue massage with Shauna. I have been here many times & have recommended it and brought both friends and family. The thermal spa has a lovely chilled vibe and a good big Jacuzzi to stretch out in. My favs are the Solarium and Sauna, just bliss and never fail to soothe away the tension, aches and pains. It's fantastic value for money £15 for 3hrs in Thermal Suite. Half hr treatments in around £35 mark. Recommend booking treatment for about 1hr after you've been in Thermal suite. You're nicely warmed up and relaxed. Staff have always very friendly & nothing is ever a problem. Hope this hidden gem doesn't get too popular so I can still get these peace & tranquility I get from my visits.

Negative experience: i have tried to book a sports hall for next for an event in 2020 since July. it took 8 email, 4 calls and a site visit before someone told me that I cannot book it as it is more than 6 months away without speaking to the booking manager and that if you are in northern Ireland the better gym website doesn't always work. after being given up to 4 different email addresses for different people, 10 more emails 5 phone calls and 2 visits. on final phone call staff were extremely rude and cut me off after the 1st sentence to tell me that need to contact a different person again before hanging up. I will not be back or recommending to anyone will not be using the website for my event or any future events.

Negative experience: Its taking me over 3 months to cancel membership while getting charged for it. I got no qualms with the facility, there is plenty of equipment and not too overcrowded most times.

Fantastic experience: excellent swimming facility. Water is maybe a bit warm

Positive experience: Generally lovely environment to work out in, whether it is at the gym or the pool. Relatively clean in the gym change rooms however the pool shower would occasionally have remnants of hair in the drain. Staff are quite friendly and helpful, although calling them takes forever for an answer as they must not take calls as a priority. Overall very pleased with the facilities and their student monthly pass is only about £22, contract free!
