David Lloyd Kings Hill

Negative experience: My wife and I have been going to DL kings hill for the last 9 months, for a monthly subscription of £258.00 per month we have felt that the Management don’t care about dirty changing rooms, most times the towel bin overflowing and then when the boiler isn’t broken warm showers, also the food we have continuously been sending back as cold, burn’t and missed items time and time again, this has been noted and why you are given a free “next time” is beyond me, also I am please to be told this month for the new year (although never told this when being signed up) why would you when you are going in for the kill, to be told for all the poor quality and service DL will increase your membership!!! So I please be aware of this when being asked and then either ask for a copy to read before signing or ask this question. I would just say “what a poor experience” but again I am sure there will be a comment after this saying “sorry to hear you’re not happy”. Save the lip service for someone who cares. The reply didn’t say “due to your issues with the gym, we are cancelling your membership early. Amazing reaction from poor week management.

Negative experience: Staff literally useless. Double booked our preplanned activity in the sports hall. Then rejected our opportunity to relocate… whilst receiving insensitive and condescending language from the organisers/staff. No compensation yet…

Positive experience: Needs updating but the staff, food and gym are excellent.

Fantastic experience: Jaime was lovely when joining today. Talk through all the options and allowed time to explore the gym.

Fantastic experience: Jamie gave us an in depth view of the club and was super friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. We were skeptical coming in and ended up signing up for a membership on the spot. She went one step further and offered us extra guest passes and let us know of all the discounts we could get.

David Lloyd in Kings Hill ticks all of these boxes, with fantastic amenities and equipment, I’m looking forward to be a member here. The staff are incredibly friendly and a big shout out to Libby Norris and Sam Dhainaut who made our family feel very welcome.

Fantastic experience: We had our guided tour of the gym on Friday, despite it being a late appointment, Jaime spent almost an hour showing my 5 year old, my husband and I around, explaining how everything worked and being very patient and attentive toward our 5 year old with him asking all the questions, needless to say, she absolutely sold it to him with all the family friendly and childrens activities available, the atmosphere at this gym is so welcoming, thank you Jaime we look forward to seeing you around.

Negative experience: Overpriced and over subscribed. I recently had to quit due to severe arthritis. I’m still battling to cancel my contract as I can’t use any of the facilities. I’ve now sent roughly 12 emails and had one reply . I’ve now submitted proof of my health problems and I’ve still not had any reply. It’s such a shame this club cares more about money than its members. It is not worth the extortionate member fee. You’re lucky if you can park or get onto a class booking .

Negative experience: Disappointed with information given at point of sale which I now understand was incorrect. I joined in Jan on a 3 month contract I was told that it was £5 each visit for my child to visit or £40 per month membership. I took my son today for the first time and it was £14. Therefore I looked to add my son to my membership but is now showing as approx £67. I’ve tried to contact the sales team by sending a query 2 days ago but still no response. I therefore tried to call sales but no phone line direct to them. Prices and what your package covers is a mystery as nothing given/printed out.when I joined Such a shame as if there was more transparency in regards to membership/fees etc it would seem a lot more of a professional outfit (this is only my opinion of course). I’ve given up on booking classes as can never get in! Gym and pool are nice but expensive gym for the limited availability of classes.

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd @ Kingshill is an excellent facility with outstanding service. The tennis facilities and coaches are great and the pool area is amazing. All staff are friendly and helpful at all times! As an example, Jaime from the membership team went out of her way to help me when I had guests visiting. Keep up the amazing work team :)
