Fantastic experience: Swimming there was enjoyable.

Negative experience: Double standards to get money only. Apparently today was only available to get to main pool with adult and child can not go on his own. But all moms were sitting in caffe while their kids were alone in the pool... Ergo - pay for two and they dont care if child is left alone. Just confirm that it is not worth to be honest telling them only child is going in.

Positive experience: A great make over. The let down is the locker room. Half the lockers have no keys at all, and a lot of the keys have no numbers on them. The sauna is great value though ☺️

Positive experience: Not worth the money. you should be able to pick and choose in your membership which facilities you use as 42 quid to just go to the gym isn't worth it which goes up every year.

Fantastic experience: Nice and clean. Leisure pool is really good for kids.

Negative experience: Love the staff in the centre, the gym is ideal with plenty of equipment. Classes are often cancelled with little notice. I tried the aqua zumba, something I really was looking forward to, but was just full of people splashing, just a bunch of friends who clearly took over the pool for thereselves. Did not feel welcome at all. Yes it's water and I expect to get wet, but this was to an extreme.

Positive experience: the leisure pool was a bit crowded, but that wasn't really a problem. The real problem was the kids throwing balls and other things through the air hitting little kids in the faces

Negative experience: Main swimming pool is fine. Sauna and steam too small for capacity. Showers in unisex changing rooms poor. Considering the recent millions spent, should be better and do need maintaining.

Positive experience: The place was fun but clean and many over places the toilets on top floor are rank mold toilet paper everywhere

Negative experience: Wonderful staff and amenities. However customers are rude to staff and fellow customers As one lady mentioned people are territorial. This is where I swim and Fxxf off. Stopped going due to the abuse. Extremely sad following I used to go when the old pool was open in holderness road. Did mention the abuse to staff however their hands are tied. Would love to return but this abuse has to stop. The management should inform in training to their team no abuse is acceptable .The team are there to make every one welcome and not just ignore what is actually happening.

Fantastic experience: Visited with me granddaughter, we used the leisure pool. It was lovely and warm. The waves were only on once in the hour we were there. The floors from the changing areas to the pool could be cleaned more!

Fantastic experience: Great place and staff,cafe is poor though

Negative experience: Swimming changing room is always uncomfortably humid and not very clean. Most locker bands are broken. Smell of urine is prevalent and the pool temperature is either cold or too hot. The times are also not very good for me. To top it off they're putting the membership prices up again. Not worth the price at all.

Positive experience: The facilities are great however the only thing I can critique is the online timetable which is currently non-existing and the fact it is so difficult for a basic standard phone call on times and prices which also is not on the non-existing website . I hope this is soon amendable so clients can have more clarity and less confusion

Fantastic experience: Excellent leisure centre with great facilities.

Positive experience: I go to the gym here. Small gym and can get quite busy in the weights/machines area especially if you go around 4pm time. Cardio area is usually ok. Swimming pools are great although the big slide is the worst thing ever made in the history of the world, if you weigh more than 4lbs you have to physically push yourself down because the water doesn’t run fast enough. Some locks have been out of order in the changing rooms for 7 months now despite signs stating they will be fixed soon. The vending machines full of chocolate just outside the gym are amazing.

Negative experience: DON’T go to this place. This place has been the absolute worst swimming place I’ve ever been to First, the changing rooms are so dirty! There’s dust hanging from the walls and guess what?! Me and my friend saw a rat run across the girls changing rooms Also what makes it worse, the staff are horrible One time I came to this place with my trio and I splashed one of them for a joke and this life guard shouted “COME HERE” so I came and then she said “get out of the pool your bullying people your banned” like what the hell I didn’t get out because I literally spent my money on that and they refused to give me a refund. Around 3 minutes later they literally got security on me?! All because I splashed my friend for a joke just because the life guard couldn’t take a joke. The people saying this place is good are probably just AI Bots because trust me you don’t wanna go here.

Positive experience: Good fun for a few hours cheap for what you get , water slide and a wave pool also showers I would recommend going later on the day as you get more time as not so busy .

Positive experience: Go twice a week for physio as have dodgy knees...Staff all friendly, hygienic and changing rooms. Locker key/ bracelets cud do to be renewed.

Fantastic experience: We took our daughter on a spontanious morning visit. Was feiendly and fun. The changing rooms were clean, although the family changing room was not unlocked when we got there it just meant I had to dress out lil one on my own then pass her to her dad whilst I changed. The pool was warm and the lifeguards were friendly.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I go to Woodford every week to play short mat bowls, it's a great place with lots of activities .the staff are very friendly and it's just nice to spend an afternoon there .

Negative experience: First time coming here came with my daughter and granddaughter to watch found viewing area dirty with rubbish and empty bottles on the floor also found reception staff rather grumpy but enjoyed watching my granddaughter swim

Fantastic experience: Joined today. Staff where great, really helpful. Changing rooms, showers were spotless. Cardio machines & weights/machines all good. Good to chill out in the cafe after a workout. V good

Positive experience: Excellent sauna and steam rooms. I'd avoid going on school holidays or during times where families are using it. The unisex 'changing village' is an awful idea, so many screeching little girls making my tinnitus & anxiety worse. It's nice having the hairdryers though.

Negative experience: The stars are for the leisure pool itself. The changing rooms were disgusting, floors were covered in mud even leading out to the pool area. Breeding ground for germs and bacteria! Toilets were blocked or covered in wet toilet paper. The pool was very overcrowded, I was surprised they let us in. Cafe was filthy as they were understaffed. Unpleasant experience overall. All feeling unwell today, could just be a coincidence.

Positive experience: The reception staff are really friendly here, always lovely (nicer then ennerdale, although there is 1 younger lady who works at both she is lovely). Pool & changing area is good, gym is ok just wish there was more classes here on an evening though. Would be nice to do 2 classes 1 after the other, and need a bit more choice too- weights/tone up/step classes, circuit, clubfit (not zumba) .

Positive experience: I'm giving 4 stars reason being we paid our 15 pound and then only had 55mins because it closes for and hour then opens back up. It closes at 3pm so bare that in mind. It's not a bad place bit small leisure pool wise never saw other pool that's separated from leisure one. There is a wave machine came on once and the pool progresses down to a deeper end of 5foot 3 deep. They have one flume but its busy and we waited sadly 15 mins for it but it was good. Good place to take the kids

Negative experience: The lady’s that work on the desk are so rude. Seems as though they don’t even wish to be there. Attitude stinks. And they ignore the phone.

Fantastic experience: Warm and well maintained leisure pool with wave machine and sloping access. Flume is great for the family and there is a small slide for the younger ones. Excellent place to learn to swim and have fun.

Fantastic experience: Has a wide variety of exercises a d sports available, the environment is always clean, pricing is affordable and with a café included. There's a lot you can do with just about £22, you can even go to the ice rink at the city centre and what not. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's starting on their fitness journey, wants to stay active or wishes to do anything for fun in a safe and tidy environment.

Positive experience: Great Bank Holiday splash with the kids! Unfortunately the leisure pool with the wave machine was due to close at 1030am on Bank Holiday Monday which we found disappointing but the small pool in the main pool area was just right for us and the grandkids to have a good splash about . Not too busy, nice clean pool area and good changing facilities. Excellent little cafe overlooking the pool with a good range of hot & cold snacks and drinks, cheerful, friendly staff and fantastic curly fries which we all loved ! Would have been a 5 star review for a great morning if the leisure pool had been open. Very good facility

Negative experience: Its a very fun place for the kids. The swim times are short though, we went on what we believed to be a 2h30m session only to get called out of the pool after an hour. My son was gutted as he had wasted 20+ minutes waiting for the slide.

Negative experience: Brought a friend to the S E.N session. Firstly we waited 20 minutes in a changing room for someone to bring a pool chair, then to be taken into the leisure pool and told to just "push him in until he can get out" we attempted it but the water was absolutely freezing and his muscles started to size up so spent another 20 minutes in the changing room getting hom warm under the shower. Wouldn't come back here.

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff and I love the visiting the leisure pool for a go on the water slide ..lots of fun for the family..only drawback is I found the water twenty to twenty four percent to wet for my liking and I strongly suspect it's just tap water and not spring water..I did however have a engrossing conversation with the ghost of yogi Bear in the male changing room which more than made up for all the fictitious shortfalls previously mentioned

Fantastic experience: I went with my kids (one autistic) to the special needs session and we enjoyed it a lot! They have a huge slide, a wave pool and a sprinkler so we had a lot of fun. In the special needs session they have toys for the children to play. I would recommend this to people who like to swim.

Fantastic experience: Joined the gym today. Excellent customer service, everyone was very helpful. It's all kept clean and everyone cleans machines after use. Pool area was clean also. Changing rooms are too hot and humid, but that's the norm with these venues I find. Glad I joined!

Positive experience: We go most weeks and have noticed over the past few that some things have been left in a state of disrepair in the changing rooms and showers. The locks are broken on some lockers and the numbers on the keys are now almost invisible due to wear and tear. The shower heads also need cleaning as they seem to be blocked which causes the water to spray in all directions rather than straight down. I’ve reported these issues but nothing gets done.

Fantastic experience: Daily i swim good pool hit and miss with the leisure pool temperature showers the same hair dryers need updating. The reception staff especially julie michele and sue always a smile and a chat mostly a big shout out to julie she is a great girl. The lifeguards need to smile more looks like they dont want to be here. Given up saying good morning to them just a few are chatty. Well worth a visit especially if you have children great wave machine for them.

Positive experience: my only complaint is the changing rooms/toilets seemed to have been very mucky and unkept.. didnt see one member of staff in there keeping on top of the cleanliness and apart from no hot water for showers .. everything else was great kids had fun.

Fantastic experience: We went yesterday in the morning and the manager (kevin) was really good with my clients needs and help in every way he can. Then went in the evening on our bikes and nick the evening manager had helped with all situation then and whilst in the leisure centre a few kids had tried taking our bikes and they had chased them off and secured our bikes with a spear D lock to keep safe.

Positive experience: Only being going 3 weeks, however the facilities are very good especially for the price you pay. The receptionists are really cheerful and helpful, the gym does get very busy but i have noticed so far that the majority of people respect each other’s space and work out routines. The gym does have temperature issue and can be quite warm with poor ventilation. However a good gym and affordable…
