Negative experience: Extremely rude staff!
Fantastic experience: Great facilities, however need more plates in the weight lifting room - takes an age to find them dotted around
Negative experience: Some of the staff are nice however some of them extremely rude. Had an awful experience trying to play badminton where I could see racquets avaible for use however lady behind desk was adimmited there wasn’t any- a friend of mine used the racquets the next day confirming that we were lied to. Felt very looked down upon by the staff. A real shame as the facilities are good!
Negative experience: So fairly new to the gym, but already getting a bit annoyed with it as I'm paying £29 a month. Kids- I'm not agest, but the 16 and unders are not respecting the equipment or other gym users and will sit on equipment tapping on phones, there isn't enough kit for this. Staff- Congregate and chat in the corner ignoring the kids messing around and are not controlling or implementing gym etiquette. Kit- The same bits of kit still broken and out of use, this exacerbates the issue of not being able to get a good work out in, we are working people and don't have great deal of time so we need to fit gym in. Lockers are always broken and not enough. I'm contemplating moving if it wasn't for the pool.
Fantastic experience: Regular swim and gym place. Never too busy
Positive experience: Great sports center
Fantastic experience: Lots of activities available and very good gym equipment. Most racquet sports are covered.
Negative experience: I was not shown how to sign in, use the barriers or even given a tour of the facilities. There was a day in which I struggled to enter and about eight of the staff all stood behind the counter having a laugh and a giggle at my expense. I hadn't signed in or scanned my rubber band properly. All seven of them stood and watched, grunting and getting all frustrated. It was pathetic. The stuff, one would expect to find in a school yard. The worst one is the assistant manager. His name is Steven Niblock and he cannot even use capital letters when writing his own name on his linked-in page, let alone run a busy leisure centre, yet has the audicity to call people with disabilities stupid and openly mock them for not being able to utilise fancy new gadgets they were never shown how to use. Claims to have studied a degree at the not-so-famous Loughborough College. I don't believe him. I think he bought it online. As for being driven, he should stop kidding himself. He and the rest of the elderly staff, seem to be counting down the days until the GCC offer them a severance package. They seem determined to make life incredibly difficult for visitors until that day eventually comes. Overall, a decent facility but if you run into any issues as I did, don't expect sympathetic or supportive staff.
Positive experience: Great pool.
Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool! Went there without a membership/pre-booked on the app and need to pay 4 pounds and need to bring 1 pound coin for the locker. The pool and the changing rooms are clean, equipped with hairdryers and wetsuit dryer machine. Just hope they provide a proper closed shower room. Some parts of the big pool are too shallow for me. Not too crowded on Saturday afternoon.
Negative experience: Very bad experience u have to book for gym every single time no advice any one
Negative experience: Very bad from last week you have to check your phone up to enter the gym every single time no happy at all
Fantastic experience: Nice club for sports like badminton, tennis, football... and gym.
Fantastic experience: Good pool. Small kids pool tho. Staff all good. Good for quiet swim or splash about with your kids
Negative experience: Really poor experience with the gym so far, staff at reception are incredibly rude. After asking about membership and quiet times the responses of two different staff members have been "I'm far too busy right now, figure it out yourself", and a momentary glance up from the computer to say "I can't help you". A good number of the lockers in the men's changing room don't lock and gym classes blast klaxon alarms at full volume through the whole gym. Really a shame as the set up and the equipment is decent and the location is convenient. Wouldn't recommend.
Fantastic experience: Super
Negative experience: No sona and Jacuzzi
Fantastic experience: I think I reviewed this under a different name
Negative experience: Centre isn't worth the cost. Zero value for money. The gym is extremely unsupervised with kids being highly immature. Not 24hr. The building is impresssive I'll give them that, but it's honestly a shock horror. We pay for the most expensive package and I still had to pay to book out a hoop out. They also have the most horrendous music on loop. Lockers are always full.
Fantastic experience: Nice swimming pool, clean changing rooms not to busy when we visited on a Saturday afternoon
Fantastic experience: Lovely pool and showers and new lockers good size changing rooms .
Fantastic experience: Found the staff more than helpful, wasn't given a wrist band when I joined in another Glasgow Club but the staff were so understanding and accommodating, 1st time there as a gym member and they were patient with my questions, 1st class
Positive experience: Staff said steam&sauna destroyed, that's vandalism, very risk averse.Average height you can walk one third of pool, from shallow end;don't dive in!!!Expansive opening times, more full sized lockers, nice tiles. No place to chill out,as health suite gone, tragic.Even the Romans had steam rooms;we are going backwards, tragic!
Positive experience: I felt the pool was too chilly. The kids pool not much better. The young guard was not paying attention to his job but more like watching young females as the walked past, this was quite uncomfortable and the next time this happens I will call him out on it!
Fantastic experience: Great place to go for exercise or even a bit of sporting fun
Fantastic experience: Clean; staff are helpful; good facilities
Fantastic experience: Nice play area. Badminton courts are fab
Positive experience: A great all round leisure centre. It would be even better if they reinstated the health suite and spent a bit more on maintaining the presentation. i.e the bogging looking fountain.
Fantastic experience: excellant resource
Negative experience: Most staff at the reception are good, but some need customer service training as they don't know how to speak to customers.
Fantastic experience: Goo equipment helpful staff
Negative experience: They don’t have it any stuff for sixpack, no good
Fantastic experience: Brillia5
Negative experience: So bad I try and call them but they never answer my phone call
Fantastic experience: Good clean changing room. No blaring music. Showers worked. Good size of lockers. Pool was nice, though a slight current pushes you to the side of the lane.
Negative experience: Staff seem to have an attitude every time I go ,kids in the gym unsupervised
Fantastic experience: The badminton academy is a great venue and good value for money
Fantastic experience: Relaxing atmosphere. Clean and well maintained. Very helpful staff
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and great leisure facilities
Fantastic experience: Great experience.
Positive experience: Great well equipped gym for the serious trainer
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym and sports facilities
Positive experience: Helpful and friendly staff and excellent gym facilities
Fantastic experience: Swimming here is lovely
Positive experience: Disappointed in the refurbished pool. Also you have to book ahead...too many people allowed at the same time...eg 6 to a swim lane!!!
Fantastic experience: Nice place for you to enjoy sports.
Fantastic experience: Come here regularly to swim, since it has been renovated its cleanliness has been well maintained, the staff's nice and the opening hours fit the great majority of the public.
Fantastic experience: Only used pool & baby pool. Lovely modern pools & changing rooms. Free parking onsite though in busier times parking may be difficult.
Fantastic experience: Ome of the best fitness clubs in Glasgow. Loved it.
Fantastic experience: Good for swimming good for gym good for bandminting good for tennis good for football ⚽
Fantastic experience: Nice, clean and has variety of courts and sport activities
Fantastic experience: Nice place
Fantastic experience: Staff are great and very patient with my autistic nephew. Lovely and clean
Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool compared to other Glasgow Club venues
Fantastic experience: Great new changing area for the swimming pool and as usual helpful and kind staff
Fantastic experience: First time at this gym today. Friendly staff at reception, cafe and Body Pump. Recommend this gym, great community asset.
Positive experience: Too far away from my home
Fantastic experience: So much on offer !!
Positive experience: Massive leisure and sports centre
Fantastic experience: It's a gym.. eith good classes
Positive experience: Has a pool and a gym, you can get both for a pretty good price, but sometimes there are children around in the gym, not being supervised so they can be a bit loud and play with the equipment.
Positive experience: First time back in the swimming pool after refurbishment - everything great EXCEPT pool is very shallow at one end - feet scraping bottom when swimming and a lot more difficult to turn - good swimmers will be put off by this although obviously good for teaching young people to swim in main pool
Fantastic experience: Nice gym. Has a wide variety of equipment, squat racks, and helpful staff. Very large space inside. Everything you need and it never feels so busy you can’t get in a good workout. Recommend!
