Negative experience: Went here today with my service user who is 2-1 in the community and the personal trainer with the prosthetic leg was so rude to me and my colleague. I sat on the rowing machine seat and he said “don’t sit on there it’ll break and other people need to use it”, he also kept calling me and my colleague “girls” when we are grown women. He was also making sly jokes towards my service user and laughing, completely and utterly unprofessional!!!

Positive experience: Good gym, just don’t appreciate the unsolicited advice from one of the ‘personal trainers’ who comes across as rude! (think he walks around with a prosthetic leg). A lot of people go to workout and zone out from the stresses of their day and keep themselves to themselves not be made to feel stupid. If I need help I’ll ask. Good facilities too.

Fantastic experience: Great outdoor running track with viewer stands as well as very good outdoor training facilities that I would recommend. The indoor gym is very good and has plenty of options considering the size of the place (with two cold water dispensers at the upstairs and downstairs entrances which is always a bonus). The upstairs portion is more cardio and weight machines, although there is also a free weight section with dumbbells and a side room with yoga balls and exercise mats available for use. The downstairs portion also has a free weight area and cable machines but is mainly focused on heavier weight-lifting. The 25m indoor swimming pool rounds it off nicely - all the staff are amazing and really helpful if you have any questions!

Positive experience: Genuinely a clean and tidy gym. Shower and changing room facilities. Pool is good however availability for public swimming is lacking especially on weekends. Some good machines although need a few more, naturally space dependant with a potentional for more lower weights to be brought in as there is only one set of each Dumbell so during busy periods can effect workout weights. Staff are friendly and helpful and genuinely someone about doing something. Free lessons/classes which Is a bonus. Could use a sauna/steam room, but great well kept running track out the back. Parking Facilties are good and useful. Overall good value for your money, gets what you need done

Fantastic experience: A nice swimming pool. great Gym & race track. Drinks and food available with vending machine and small cafe. Viewing space to watch swimmers and plenty of locker space and cubicles. the showers are always nice and warm, Lane swimming always available with usually 3 lanes for slow medium or fast for the more serious of swimmer's.

Negative experience: I use swimming pool from time to time, I like the atmosphere of this place especially when radio is on BUT speaking of the cleanliness of this place... oh my God. It's really, really bad. Changing area improved a little, there is no bad smell anymore but shower cabins are very, very dirty. The dirt has accumulated in some cabin gaps, it looks like it's not cleaned for at least weeks when in reality it should be cleaned everyday at least once. The tiles in the main swimming pool are dirty too and water is too cold. It's sad that in Redditch there is no other alternative swimming pool to go to.

Positive experience: Great place. Very accessible and clean.

Negative experience: Staff are lazy. The place is absolutely filthy, there are pubes on the gym floor for example. I have never seen anyone clean anything. The machines in the gym are run down.

Negative experience: Don't even bother to Answer the phone to there customers. Can't see how you can run a business like this. Won't bother again.

Positive experience: Gym classes here are great. However, always booked within the first few minutes. It's extremely hard to get onto. The weights areas are also mostly overcrowded

Fantastic experience: Great pools.Large swimming pool and a teaching pool.We did both with grandchildren. The larger pool is great for length swimming.The teaching pool good for playing. At all times the staff are professional especially the lifeguards. Changing rooms a bit chaotic with swimmers leaving clothing in cubicles and not lockers.This causes issues of use and needs to be sorted.

Negative experience: Went in to get information about hire fir birthday party and wasn't helpful and seemed not intetested

Positive experience: Lovely modern facilities haven't really had chance to use anything as I don't live in the area so not sure if it's pay as you go.

Negative experience: Dirty and run-down in general. There is a distinct lack of maintenance or cleaning. Changing areas an toilets are filthy and never cleaned, toilet cubicles missing locks or with holes in the door, cracked and chipped urinals - the list goes on . Quite a few machines in gym are worn and showing their age through lack of maintenance. The entrance barrier is broken and has been broken for three weeks now - anyone can just walk in.

Fantastic experience: Went on a December Saturday night for a swimming gala. Was nice and clean. Modern, with all the facilities. Food and drinks machines in the foyer with a cafe, but this wasn't open at the time. 25m swimming pool was good, well staffed and had excellent poolside watching area. Decent free car park.

Positive experience: I play badminton here, used to belong to the gym. Not sure whether a view over the cemetery is to scare you into exercising or scare you off it. excellent range of equipment, nice helpful staff.

Negative experience: Filthy! Such a shame otherwise I'd come all the time. The swimming pool and changing rooms stink of dirty nappies and urine. The floor was covered in hair and rubbish. Lockers aren't free. I don't think I'll ever set foot in the place again.

Positive experience: New to the area, I wanted to get back to swimming , I was shone around, went the next day, very pleased with the all round experience, £2:40 OAP rates what's not to like.

Positive experience: As the town's main sports facility, the Abbey Stadium really is excellent. Free parking with car charging available, and convenient opening hours. It's great value and boasts a learner pool and main pool, track, gym, weights room, yoga studio, badminton and sports halls, and many other facilities. The staff are absolutely fantastic and the classes available are brilliant too, loads to choose from. The only reason I've not gone the whole 5 stars is that the toilets and changing rooms are in a bit of a state. They could do with a regular cleaner throughout the day, and also refurbishment of these facilities. It's also hard to get through on the phone with typical waiting time around 10-20 minutes before anyone picks up. I know that it's busy and the staff can only do one thing at a time, so not a major gripe. I love the place and would recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic experience: There is lots of parking, quiet, open space around and behind the track and Saturday morning marathon kids are also great on the track

Negative experience: womens toilets smelt strongly of urine, generally grubby and needs a good clean in most areas

Negative experience: Went to an air cooled swap meet, hall was way too small for the number of people they let in. Not the stadiums issue but maybe the organisers could have been given some guidance ‍♂️

Negative experience: I joined the gym in January I can never get onto the classes app is rubbish.i waited two hours on the phone to be cut off .Going to try another gym totally fed up would not recommend Abbey stadium.

Positive experience: The running track is great. The pool didn t have blocks in place for a competition.

Positive experience: Is s big arse sports place. We were using half of one of the sports halls. There was trampolining in the other half. There was a work out class going on in another hall and the music travelled in to our hall. I couldn't really hear my instructor for most of the time the music was playing. It was also very cold in the sports hall as we weren't in constant motion. I warned up in the lobby at lunchtime

Positive experience: Good facilities, really friendly reception staff. The lifeguards were very efficient with my friend who is disabled. Mens toilets were not very clean. Overall a decent leisure centre.

Negative experience: The gym is ok, the pool is ok, but the reason I sacrificed my membership some years ago was because the hygiene and cleanliness standards were poor....and nothing has changed in the pool area. The changing rooms are dirty in the pool area. A 9am single visit and the family room was filthy with a full nappy/waste bin. Half of the rooms were also closed. The floors are dirty, the toilets are out of order/dirty. Really really poor.

Fantastic experience: First time using the pool since the pandemic. Lovely friendly staff. Very clean in and out of the changing rooms. Great to get back to aquafit

Fantastic experience: A very nice clean, modern sports centre with lots of accommodation for various sporting activities and a large car park.

Positive experience: Yeah it's a ok gym, nice pool. Plenty going on. Was a gym member years ago, left because WiFi is rubbish. Most recent trip the showers were faulty and went for a poo only to find there was no toilet roll fortunately my daughter was with me so was able to send her to help. Fun times.

Positive experience: This place is clean, tidy and never too busy. The swimming changing rooms feel stuffy though and way too warm. They could do with being kept warm but with fresh air. The gym has a variety of machines and the instructors are good. Prices are good too. Parking is ample and it's close to town.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place! Always hated gyms. Have zero motivation and energy. Am menopausal, tired & overworked. So I dragged myself to A.S. I’m transformed in 3 weeks. I look forward to every class and lost 6lbs! The lady who does Body Balance is fantastic. She saw me making a total hash of the moves and just motivated and encouraged me. Body combat is fab to - the chap Phil can see I’m totally floundering but let’s me go at my own pace. Feeling great! If I can do it ANYONE can!!!

Positive experience: Swimming at the centre was OK clean place and not too busy for first swim on a Saturday morning. Lockers cost 25p not returnable no spinner for your trunks other Leisure centres provide spinners which are free they also return locker money

Fantastic experience: Booked a ladies only swim with some girlfriends, it was quite busy but it was very clean. The only negative thing was that a lot of the lockers had tokens jammed in them rendering them unusable.

Fantastic experience: Little cafe really nice coffee. Light airy area. Massive murals on wall of swimmers etc. 40 odd school children arrived while we were drinking. I did not know swimming was on curriculum. Lovely For sight impaired / hearing loss classes. NOTE. If you are thinking of yoga, Strengthening, Body Balance, Yin Yoga, Yoga Flow, type Classes, if you are like me sight impaired, find it difficult to see in dark rooms. Be aware, all those classes are in semi darkness. I found myself arriving early, vacant, mats opposite instructor. I was not able to see or hear instructions. Tears fell down my face as I felt sorry for myself, realising my life come to this. Deaf/Blind.

Fantastic experience: Have been taking my children swimming at the Abbey Stadium for several years. The facilities are brilliant and the changing rooms always appear to be clean. The learner pool is always clean and warm for the little ones. The life guards are friendly.

Positive experience: My daughter attend a bday party in the swimming pool. You'll need to buy a locker token from reception, wish I had known that before we had changed into our swimming costumes. Other than that, all good and the pizza from from cafe after was delicious
